When Jane arrived at the diner, she heard her brother call her name.

"Janie!" he yelled. She turned to see her youngest brother running towards her.

"Hey Tommy." He hugged her.

"Hey Sis. Is Frankie the last one here?" he asked holding the door waiting for her to enter.

"I believe he might be. Yes! Finally," she said smiling. "Lunch is on Frankie." It was about time he had to pay – the slacker. Jane was never quite sure how he managed to never pay for lunch.

They took a booth in the back to wait for their brother.

"Nina's peanut brittle is in my truck," Tommy said as he motioned for the waitress. "Don't forget it."

"Thanks little brother. Appreciate it."

"What did you do to her?" he asked amused.

"I used the word allowed."

"In reference to our wives?" She nodded.

"Are you nuts?" he asked laughing.

"Obviously."

Frank removed his cap as he entered the diner and immediately saw his oldest and youngest child in the back laughing. He smiled. He loved how they got together just the three of them. Angela had done a good job raising them to understand what was important. It pained him to know he would never be able to share in that credit.

He put his cap back on. If those two were here, Frankie would be on his way and he didn't want to be here when he arrived. He would eat somewhere else. Frankie seeing him unexpectedly would only upset him and he didn't want to risk that not when they were trying to rebuild trust.

He turned to leave and ran into his oldest son.

"Pop," Frankie said surprised by the reduced intensity of the bitterness he long felt for his father.

"Hey Frankie. How you been?" Frank Sr. asked stepping back.

"Good."

"Rizzoli you want the counter or a table?" the waitress asked grabbing a menu for him.

"Neither. I'll catch you later Lynn. I'm not staying today," he replied aware his son was looking at him.

She nodded then looked at Frankie. "You?"

"I'm with them," he said pointing to the back.

Frank moved towards the door. "See you around, son."

Frankie had a choice to make. Before the whole 'I forgive you thing', the choice was easy. He would open the door and help his father out of it. He realized he could do that now or ask the old man to join his children for lunch which was something they hadn't done in over a decade. If he was willing to make room for forgiveness, he needed to be willing to make room for progress.

"Ten bucks says he invites him to stay," Tommy said as they watched from the back.

"Sucker bet, Thomas," Jane replied confident that she was reading her brother's body language correctly.

"Okay you take no and I'll take yes," he countered.

She stared at him. "I'm not stupid, Tommy. That's the same freakin' bet." He shrugged.

"Worth a shot. You did use the word allowed around Nina. I figured you'd lost your mind."

"Jerk," she said smacking him in his arm.

"Room for two more?" Frankie said approaching the table with their father. Tommy moved over and Jane stood to hug her dad.

"Hey Pop," she said getting lost in his hug.

"Hey Janie," he answered his eyes misty. She nodded at Frankie, slid in and pulled her dad in beside her.

Lauren flushed. "I was so embarrassed," she said taking a sip of her iced tea.

"You are late to the getting caught game," Nina replied laughing.

"This is not funny," Lauren whined.

"It will be. It takes a little while," she said shaking her head. "Abigail caught us a few years ago. We thought she was all tucked into bed and we were feeling like some adult time."

"Adult time?" Lauren teased.

"Fine. We were straight up horny. It started in the living room. We were going at it when we looked up to see her watching us which was unsettling.

"She had this huge grin on her face and she says 'What you playing, Mommy? I play too?'" Nina shook her head still affected by the memory. "I wanted to hide but there was no place to hide. And Frankie was absolutely no help. He went into self-preservation mode. Left me out there to face the music alone. I was mad at him for days.

"We did learn however that my husband is a wuss, to always, always have that monitor on so we can hear her and to keep our adult games in the bedroom where they belong when she is home."

"That's just it," Lauren attempted to explain. "He wasn't supposed to be there. Lydia brought him back before she said she was going to and with the baby and Tommy's schedule it's hard to find –"

"Adult time?" Nina offered.

"Yes. TJ just turned around, walked upstairs and closed his door. I haven't been able to look at him."

"Because of TJ's age, you and Tommy need to talk with him about it," Maura suggested. She knew the research. "It is a natural and you need to explain that to him."

"Easier said than done," Lauren replied sighing.

"I imagine that is true," Maura responded.

"You ever get caught?" Lauren asked Maura.

She nodded. "Yes, but Aiden was a toddler. Younger even than Abigail."

Jane quietly entered the home on Beacon Hill. There was a dim light on in the living room casting a peaceful glow. She sighed from a sense of relief. Home. She was finally home. It had been a long few days since she had seen the interior of this place. A long few days which had kept Jane away from her family.

While her sacrifice had paid off, Jane's body was going through withdrawals. She loved her wife and child. Being a wife to Maura and a mother to Aiden was one of her greatest joys. She knew what she did was important. They had arrested their suspect and linked him to two additional rape cases over in Dorchester which was a surprised to all of them. Their perp had started off with rape and graduated to homicide. They had kept him from killing his latest victim but it didn't quell the need to get back to her family.

She walked slowly up the stairs the weight of the world still on her shoulders and went into Aiden's room. Her beautiful boy was sleeping on his knees with Zippy the long-eared bunny hugged close. His hair needed cutting. It grew so fast. They would have to do it soon but like always neither she nor Maura wanted to take him. Surprisingly the well put together Maura liked the wildness of his hair and Jane liked how it reminded her of herself. She smiled as she gently caressed his cheek and felt her body relax. God she loved him. He stirred and turned over still holding Zippy. So much like Maura.

Maura was sitting in the bed reading a journal when Jane entered the bedroom.

"You are up late," Jane said removing her jacket and draping it over the chair.

"I was waiting for you."

"And how did you know I would be home?"

"I was hopeful," she replied with a slight smile. Jane walked over and sat on the bed next to her. Maura reached out and took Jane's hand in hers, interlacing their fingers.

"Hello."

"Hey Maura," Jane said before leaning in to kiss her wife. The smoothness of Maura's lips further relaxed her. She pulled back then rested her head on Maura's lap who massaged her scalp allowing Jane to melt into her and get lost in the comfort of her wife's touch.

"I'm glad you're home."

"Me too."

"Did you have dinner?" Jane nodded then lifted her head.

"Going to take a shower."

Jane woke before the alarm would have drawn either of them from their slumber. She loved waking with Maura in her arms. She loved feeling the warmth of her naked body against hers. She loved how Maura's nipples brushed up against her chest. She loved that there was no barrier of clothing between her and Maura's body.

When she first learned that Maura slept in the nude, she thought it odd. Just another one of Maura's eccentricities. Maura would wear pajamas when they were together and Jane appreciated that. But when she started sleeping with Maura as more than friends she embraced the softness of her skin pressed against hers and the open access to the most stunning woman in the world.

"Why are you awake?" Maura asked nuzzling Jane's neck.

"Why are you?" she countered.

"Because my human pillow is." Jane chuckled.

"Go back to sleep. You have time for a little more rest before we start the day." Maura raised her head.

"Which means we have a little time for…" Maura allowed her words to trail off knowing Jane would understand.

Jane didn't hesitate. She flipped her wife and hovered over her. Seeing those gorgeous hazel eyes staring wantonly at her took her arousal to the next level quickly. Jane eased down and her lips brushed Maura's before going in and devouring her. Maura ran her hands through those brown untamed locks and cradled Jane's head in her hand pulling her into her.

Maura released Jane and kissed her jawline and neck. She trailed kisses to her breasts. She opened her legs so she could draw Jane in before wrapping her legs around her mid-section.

She heard the moan come from her wife as Jane felt the heat from Maura's center. Jane slid her hand between them. The contact with the desire she found there was exciting to her. Time and time again their love and desire for one another was immediate. There was never a need for much foreplay to push them to this level.

Jane moved with and against Maura. Maura wrapped her arms around Jane. Her hands splayed across her back. She could feel the muscles in Jane's back contracting as she moved bringing them to the precipice. Jane pushed her over the edge and chased her down hard.

Maura released Jane as she tried to even her breathing. Jane rested her head next to Maura's as she tried to do the same.

"God, I love you," Maura whispered.

"Mama?" Jane's eyes opened quickly as she turned her head towards that sweet innocent voice. Standing there in his cute onesie with Zippy was her son.

"Hey bud," she replied still trying to regulate her breathing.

"Mommy?" he asked wanting Maura.

"Mommy," Jane repeated stalling as Maura scrambled to the other side of the bed, eased to the floor and frantically searched for something to cover her body with but finding nothing.

"Mommy," he said again more demanding.

"I had to crawl to the closet because there were no clothes thrown about I could just gather from the floor. At the time I didn't sleep in pajamas and I believe Jane's clothes were on top of the bed. She continued to distract Aiden until I could reappear with something on which happened to be the dress I had on the previous day. It was wrinkled and so distracting."

"How could you possibly function?" Nina asked humoring Maura.

"I know. It was extremely difficult but I knew my focus needed to be on Aiden. We have no idea how long he was there or what he saw. Do you know how sobering your child's voice is after an intense orgasm?"

Lauren choked on her tea. Nina chuckled. She had been around Maura enough to know not to drink or bite anything when she was talking about sex. You never knew what she would say.

"That was the day we learned he could get out of his bed. Thankfully picking Aiden up and plastering kisses on his cheeks before taking him to his room was enough. Needless to say, there is now the closing of the door, a lock and sleepwear before and after. Talk with TJ. He may surprise you."

It had been a long time since the Rizzoli children genuinely laughed with their father. It felt good. The bill was dropped off and Tommy slid it towards Frankie.

"On you bro."

"What? No!"

"What? Yes!" Jane shrieked imitating Frankie. "Last in little brother."

"I think I was parked but on the phone."

"Try again, Francesco," Tommy replied. "Parked but not in equals paying for lunch."

"Jane?" he appealed.

"Nope. I agree with Tommy."

"Fine," he pouted.

"I can pay," their father offered. Frankie took the bill. He wasn't ready to be indebted for a meal yet.

"Maybe next time, Pop," Jane said touching her father's hand.

"Hey Janie. Show Pop a picture of Emma," Tommy suggested. "She is a beautiful baby."

She pulled her phone out of her pocket. You didn't have to ask her twice to show off her family. She handed the phone to her father. He smiled.

"She looks like Maura," he responded.

"I said she was beautiful," Tommy replied smirking. "Of course she looks like Maura." Jane smacked him.

"Ow."

"You deserved that," Frank Sr. said amazed his son never seemed to learn not to say things like that when Jane was within striking distance.

"You always take her side," Tommy complained. Frankie shook his head. Things do change but some stay the same. Maybe there was some hope for them.
