AN: A Distant Echo was amazing! I will freely admit that the whole reason I was thinking about getting Disney+ to begin with was solely to watch the final season of Clone Wars. Everything else was just a bonus LOL

Thanks to SW AU addict and BanzEye for the reviews:)

-All I can say in response to it seeming like I've diverged from the original plot, I am inspired a lot by Dave Filoni. He once said during Star Wars Rebels that even episodes that seemed out of place still played some role in the over-all story. And the original Clone Wars series itself is, at least from my point of view, disjointed with some stories seemingly not connected at all (it was basically an experiment LOL). So I understand where the viewpoint is coming from, but I did write that arc that for a reason and if need I'll be happy to explain it in a message.

-Not this next arc, but the arc after I will show at least the twins' reactions to Ahsoka and Rex's engagement:)

The Gathering has come and gone. Which means that we are now racing to the end of Crossing Battlefields. The war has marched on, but so has the darker elements using the war to create criminal empires in the gaps that have appeared...

Interlude-Bad News

Maul slowly turned the hilt of the Darksaber in his hands. He knew the story of the saber. Only a fool would not have done their research on a item that blood-thirsty Mandalorians nearly worshiped. Oh Maul had no doubt that Pre Vizsla was a great leader, but he doubted that he would collected the following he had were it not for the saber he had taken from it.

It was a powerful symbol and one that he most certainly planned on using. But it would never replace the blood-red blade that he had made himself.

He watched as his followers dragged the cooling body of Pre Vizsla then turned to Savage and smirked. "Now it is time to draw Kenobi to us."

"Will he come?"

"He will..."

She lifted her head as burst of giggles drifted down the living area. Analise smiled as she caught sight of her little sister's montrals peeking out over the top of the chair. Ahsoka's little ducklings, as Qui-Gon and Plo had started to calling the younglings, had stormed their apartment. They had given themselves the mission to cheer Ahsoka up while she was grounded.

So they had come armed with games and chips with the latest cartoons that she just had to see. Plus they had 'smuggled' in all sorts of sweets that Analise had doubt had come from Dex and pretended not to see them.

There were more rounds of giggles and loud "Ouch!" which she took to mean that Petro had attempted to show off and had instead tripped and fell. Well it gave her a chance to throw something together for dinner while also going over her information for her upcoming visit to Mandalore.

Seriously she hadn't been expecting Satine and the leads of Mandalore to make such an offer. They would be a fool not to take it. It would certainly solve the issue of where the Clones would call home. The upcoming visit would hammer out the final details before the proposal would be brought before the committee before the next step of submitting it to the Senate.

And Analise wanted all the details set in stone with each stage. The Council had been very clear that they too were interested and invested in the outcome.

"Master Kenobi!" She looked up again from her datapad as one hand stirred the pot of nuna stew she had tossed together. Petro had charged the door as soon as Obi-Wan entered. The Master looked tired and worried, but the younglings saw only the brave warrior of their whispered stories told after lights went out.

"Oh...hello younglings." Her Soul Mate smiled, but she could see that it wasn't a true, full smile. Something had happened. "Visiting Ahsoka?"

"Yes sir."

"They're staying for dinner too. Come help me do the bread and salad love." What happened Ben?

I'll tell you tonight.

So what happened? Analise asked as she slipped into bed beside Obi-Wan. She wrapped herself around him, nuzzling into his chest as he held her tight.

The Council's had to cancel your mission to Mandalore.

What? Why?

We received a message from Almec stating that they are no longer interested in following along with the plan that Satine put forward.

And Satine? Obi-Wan slowly shook his head.

Almec didn't say, only that as Prime Minister he was within his rights to cancel the visit and plan.

But Almec isn't the Prime Minister.

Well apparently he is now.

Analise shivered. Something didn't feel right and she prayed that Satine was okay.

"That's odd."

"What's odd Snips?" Ahsoka tapped her datapad.

"You remember Korkie? From when I went to Mandalore to teach those kids." Anakin narrowed his eyes. He remembered a group of four kids just slightly older that Ahsoka. He vaguely could remember a young boy who had happily asked to see his baby sister's lightsaber.

"I think so..."

"Well we've kept in touch. Especially since Duchess Satine has been working with the FOJ and stuff," she shrugged her shoulders. "We kind of understand each other I guess. Anyway I just checked my messages and there was one from Korkie. He said he wanted me to ask the Council for help, but he didn't say for what. I tried to send one back, but it wouldn't go through."

"I'm sure it's nothing Snips."

Only Anakin wasn't so sure.

"You got bad news too?" Anakin asked as Analise and Obi-Wan joined him and Ahsoka just outside the Room of A Thousand Fountains. His twin slowly nodded.

"I got a random message asking for help."

"You too?" the teenager blurted out. "Korki asked me for help too." Analise nodded than shook her head.

"But I don't know who sent the message to me. The address shows it was sent from somewhere on Mandalore, but there was nothing else. I replied asking who it was, but I haven't heard back yet."

"And you're worried that it has something to do with the information that Hondo's been giving us," Anakin pointed out as he glanced at Obi-Wan. The Master gave a very slow nod as he pulled at his beard.

"Right now they are just rumors which means we can't do anything."

Even if they wanted to.
