Jennifer Baratta - Maggie has much suffering to come.

"Is that Brad? I thought he left." Kara said as she entered the seminar room with Alex.

"You think Pam would actually accept his resignation?" Alex asked as she sat at the back of the room.

"Good point." Kara said sitting next to her.

"There are seats at the front." Brad pointed out as the all newcomers took refuge at the back.

"Hey guys." Winn said sitting next to Kara.

"Hi Winn." Kara smiled as Alex nodded.

"So we have a question." Winn said.

"Who is we?" Alex asked staring past Winn to the other Agents pretending not to listen.

"The DEO collective." Winn said.

"What are you Borg?" Alex asked unimpressed before following up with. "What's the question?"

"Are you going to make us have these seminars every six months?"

"This isn't my fault." Alex protested.

"Not what we heard. Pam was quite happy to point the finger at you."

"It was Landon doing the bullying." Alex said.

"Which is harder to believe than you doing the bullying." Winn said before immediately regretting it. He was saved from retaliation by Brad standing at the front and saying.

"Okay then, let's make a start."

When the crowd didn't immediately take their seats he added.

"The sooner we start, the sooner we finish." His words encouragement for everyone to fall silent.

He then looked round the room, mentally taking not of who was there before asking.

"How many people here have been bullied at some point in their life?"

"What is your definition of bullying?" Vasquez asked.

"Physical assault, verbal abuse or anything that has made you feel uncomfortable or less than you are. It can be done by your peers, your siblings, your partners, your colleagues, your bosses, your teachers, pretty much anyone. So anyone who has been bullied please raise your hand."

In response everyone raised their hand. As Alex raised hers she looked straight at Landon.

"Okay, now put your hand down if you have not experienced bullying in the workplace."

"What's your definition of bullying in the workplace?" Winn asked.

"The same as above. But let's make this a little easier. Everyone put your hands down." He said moving to a white board that had a sheet over it. Removing the sheet he said. "When we met for the sexual harassment training-"

"Shouldn't that be avoiding sexual harassment or stopping sexual harassment training?" Vasquez asked. "I mean calling it sexual harassment training makes it sound like you were teaching us how to sexually harass."

"Thanking for sharing." Brad said. "And your point has been noted, we most definitely were not encouraging sexual harassment." He then paused before looking round and asking. "Any other points before we start?" When he was met by silence he went on. "Last time we discussed inappropriate behaviours and this is the list you came up with. We have threats, intimidation, coercion, physical violence."

"Outside of training." Alex chipped in.

"Excuse me?" Bead asked.

"Last time we went through this you said physical violence was fine inside the training room, else we couldn't practice properly."

"That is true." Brad said sounding unsure. "So has anyone here experienced physical violence at work outside of the training room?"

When everyone raised their hands, Agent Emery said. "It's kind of our job to stand in the way of rampaging aliens, that involves taking a few hits."

"Let me clarify." Brad went on. "Has anyone here experienced violence by the hands of one of their colleagues, outside of training." When all hands once again went up he looked completely confused.

"There was the time Supergirl was exposed to Red-K, the time the Director hallucinated, the time Jemm got loose, the-" An Agent started to list.

"I get the point." Brad interrupted. "How about times when your colleague has been in complete control of their actions?"

"Is anyone ever truly in complete control?" Winn asked.

"That was very deep." Alex commented.

"Fine, has anyone ever been the victim of physical violence when there have been no mitigating circumstances?" Brad asked ignoring Alex.

"Like what?" Kara asked.

"Like, circumstances that are unusual, such as mind control." Brad clarified.

"What if the world was about to end and you needed to slap someone to get them to focus?" Alex asked. "Are you saying we should just let the world end?"

"No." He said looking flustered. "Perhaps we should move onto one of the other themes. Does anyone have a preference?"

"What about threats?" Alex asked. "Like threatening to murder someone."

"And threatening to eat someone." Kara added.

"Someone threatened to eat you?" Brad asked looking concerned.

"Someone in this room." Kara said looking at Landon.

"Did you report it?"

"They threatened me into silence." Kara went on.

"They threatened you?" He asked disbelieving. "With what?"

"An HR seminar. So seeing they won I guess I have nothing to lose about reporting it."

"If this is about what I think it is about," J'onn jumped in, "then the person who made the alleged threat would be unable to defend themselves due to confidentiality restrictions."

"So that would be Dr Landon then?" Winn guessed.

"Was there any doubt?" Vasquez asked.

"This is not meant to be about finger pointing." Brad said firmly. "This is about learning what is appropriate behaviour and trying to stop bullying in the work place."

"Unless it is the end of the world, in which case all bets are off." Winn said.

"That's not exactly what I said." Brad replied as an Agent nervously walked in. "Are you joining us?" Brad asked him.

"Um, no. I need Supergirl."

"Thank Rao." Kara said standing. When all other Agents stood as well Brad said with more authority than they were used to.

"Everyone else sit down." Ignoring the disappointed grumbles he waited for Supergirl to leave before turning to the room. "This session is more important than what is going on out there?"

"What if it is an alien invasion?" Winn asked.

"Then there would be alarms and flashing red lights."

"This isn't actually the Enterprise." Winn pointed out.

"I am in no rush to leave." Brad said. "If you want to debate lights for awhile we can. But until the bullying behaviour is tackled no one else is going." He added as Vasquez raised her hand. "Yes?" He asked wearily.

"Just to be clear, if there was an alien invasion or some other event that threatened humanity, we would be free to go?"

"Yes you could all march to your deaths." Brad said.

"Is that a new HR policy?" One of the other Agents asked.

"No. I meant it figuratively." Brad said.

"Out of interest," Winn said raising his hand, "Does being held against your will count as bullying?"

"Good point." Alex nodded approvingly.

"Are you implying I am bullying you?" Brad asked.

"Just asking a question." Winn replied.

"Then lets move on." Brad said as Alex raised her hand. When he ignored her Vasquez raised her hand.

"Yes Agent Vasquez?" He asked.

"Agent Danvers has a question." Vasquez answered pointing to Alex.

"Yes Agent Danvers." Brad asked wearily.

"In the seminar you gave three months ago on leadership you said it was important to understand what motivates our teams. What happens if someone is motivated by what you call a bad behaviour? Do we just let them lose motivation?"

"Motivating staff is important. But if what motivates them is not workplace appropriate then we would need to think about treatment."

"So you'd want us to snitch on them?" Hooper questioned.

"Raising a genuine concern is not snitching." Brad said.

"Maybe. But either way it would damage trust." Alex said.

"Trust is important." Brad agreed before looking at Landon. "Mike, you are being very quiet. I'm sure you have lots to say on trust."

"You're doing a great job." Landon replied.

"Maybe, but that is not what I asked." Brad said. "This is an interactive session and everyone needs to participate. Including you. So what would you like to share about trust?"

"Especially after you set the whole thing up." Alex muttered.

"Excuse me?" Landin asked.

"You expect me to believe it was coincidence that Pam walked past the very moment that you lost it?"

"Are you seriously trying to pretend you didn't set that up?" Winn asked Alex.

"Why would I do anything that would end up stuck in one of these seminars?" Alex asked before looking at Brad and adding. "No offence."

"Plenty taken." Brad replied.

"I'm not sure." Vasquez said. "This could be the ultimate deflection tactic. Besides why would Dr Landon want to be here?"

"To make you think I set it up so it drives a wedge between us. Which goes back to Brad's point about snitching on each other and losing trust."

"I did not talk about snitching." Brad protested. "Let's get this back on track. Mike you were about to tell us about trust."

Before Landon could answer the door opened once again and a very nervous looking Agent Briggs entered. Avoiding eye contact with everyone he walked straight to J'onn and whispered in his hear. Listening into the conversation Alex immediately stood and asked.

"What do you mean Supergirl is hurt?"

"Um, well, ma'am she fell. Foxtrot team are bringing her in now."

"How bad is she?" Alex asked as she left the room with Briggs and J'onn.

"Unconscious." Briggs said.

"Why weren't we called earlier?" Alex asked.

"Well it happened really quickly." Briggs explained.

"What exactly happened?" J'onn asked.

"There was a very powerful bomb. There wasn't time to disable it so Supergirl flew it away from the city, over the ocean and up, like she did with Maxwell's bomb. Only she had been weakened by absorbing the blast of a smaller bomb a minute before." He explained, sensing the end of his short career at the DEO.

As they entered the infirmary Alex saw Maggie being stitched up.

"Maggie? What happened? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, thanks to Kara." Maggie said looking guilty. "You should go be with her." Her words causing Alex's concern to grow. "As soon as I'm stitched I'll come through."

"Go." J'onn agreed. "I'll deal with the fallout." He added heading to the control room as Alex rushed into the lamp room.

-00-

"You look like I feel." Maggie commented as Landon entered the infirmary just as the bandage was being applied.

"Detective? What are you doing here?"

"I was involved in the first blast. The DEO team knew who I was so brought me here for treatment." She explained as the doctor applied the final dressing. "So why do you look so ashen?"

"I am picturing the future." Landon said. "Where Alex remembers she blamed me on having to go to the HR seminar. She will then say it was all part of a plan to isolate Kara in the field so she'd get hurt."

"You did bring this on yourself." Maggie said unsympathetically.

"I didn't plan this." He said defensively.

"No, but you did make yourself a target with your being an ass plan."

"That wasn't the plan." Landon argued.

"Really? Because you were." Maggie said bluntly. "If I were you I would disappear before Alex comes out on the warpath."

"Good advice. But is Kara okay?"

"I've not heard. I'm sure J'onn will pass on any news." She said. Nodding Landon left as Maggie hopped off the bed and entered the lamp room.

"How is she?" Maggie asked walking over to Alex.

"Healed but still unconscious." Alex said looking up. "How are you?"

"I'm fine. Thanks to Kara." Maggie said squeezing Alex's shoulder.

"What exactly happened?" Alex asked.

"Some one planted a bomb at the museum. I was trying to evacuate everyone when I found a second device. Kara arrived and covered the bomb I found just before it went off. Despite that it was a big blast, it must have done some damage to her, I mean part of the building came down, which is how I got this." She explained pointing to the recently stitched up wound. "Then she went after the second device, which was much bigger. She flew it off and then bang." She paused then added. "I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault." Alex said squeezing her hand. "I'm just glad you are okay."

"Me too." Kara murmured from the bed.

"Kara? Are you okay?" Alex asked standing.

"I'm fine." Kara said trying to sit up.

"You need to rest." Alex said.

"I'm fine. All healed." Kara pointed out. "Unlike Maggie."

"This is just a scratch." Maggie shrugged. "Alex is right. You need to rest."

"Which I can do at home." Kara argued unsteadily standing. "If I stay here, Brad might insist I return to the seminar."

"I doubt it." Alex said. "But then again… Ok, I'll take you home, but no Supergirl stuff tonight."

-00-

"You two don't need to stay here, I am fine." Kara repeated.

"There is no way I am leaving you tonight." Alex said as the door opened and Lena came in carrying several bags.

"Lena. What are you doing here?" Kara asked confused.

"Don't worry, you didn't forget I was coming as a result of your perfect impression of an ACME Anvil."

"That's not funny." Kara protested.

"But very accurate." Lena smiled. "But seeing how much force you must have hit the ground with I thought you could do with a pick me up, so I have potstickers and ice cream."

"Two of my favourites." Kara beamed as Lena handed her the bag.

"I am impressed that you went to such lengths to get out of an HR seminar." Lena commented as Kara started to eat.

"Not planned, but it was an advantage." Kara agreed, munching on a potsticker.

"Have you caught the person responsible?" Lena asked looking at Maggie and Alex.

"Not last I heard." Maggie said. "But I am off the case until tomorrow when I get the doctor's sign off."

"We know who was behind it though." Alex said.

"We do?" Maggie asked before guessing where she was going.

"Well yeah. La-"

"Do you remember our rule?" Maggie asked.

"Yes." Alex sighed.

"Good. Then stop talking." Maggie instructed.

"I've not signed up to that so do you want me to share the idea on your behalf?" Lena asked Alex.

"I'm going to go home and try to recuperate." Maggie jumped in. "I'll see you tomorrow." She said looking at Kara.

"See you tomorrow." Kara smiled before looking at Alex. "You should go as well. I have a responsible adult here." She added pointing to Lena.

"Debatable." Maggie muttered.

"You sure?" Alex asked, clearly torn.

"I'm fine. Go." Kara assured her.

Once Alex had left with Maggie Lena asked Kara.

"Are you really okay?"

"I'm fine. All healed. But I hate diving. First it concussed me, then it cost me Cat, kind of, now it has concussed me again."
