"Maggie? What are are you doing here?" Kara asked the next morning.

"I brought breakfast." She said holding a large box which Kara looked at suspiciously. "Don't worry it is full of the stuff you like."

"Really?" Kara asked taking the box and opening it. As she saw the multiple sugary snacks she asked. "Wait, is Alex okay?"

"She's fine. I'm sure she'll be over soon."

"Then why the breakfast?"

"A thank you for saving my life yesterday."

"You don't need to thank me." Kara pointed out.

"But seeing I'm here I wanted to talk to you about something." Maggie said as Lena commented.

"Smooth."

Ignoring Lena's comment Kara said.

"Sure, what?"

"So you know Landon didn't actually plan the whole HR seminar whilst the city was bing attacked to get rid of you, right?" Maggie asked.

"I thought we weren't allowed to discuss Landon in front of you?" Kara asked confused. "And that you never wanted to hear about our theories. Although that wasn't one of our theories, and you shared it, so I guess that wasn't against the rules. Wait, do you really think he set the whole thing up?

"Are you messing with me right now?" Maggie asked.

"Because it is so obvious and I didn't see it?" Kara asked.

"You know what? I'm going to work." Maggie said giving Kara a long hard look before walking to the door.

"Um, okay." Kara said as Maggie left.

"You were messing with her right?" Lena asked once the door was shut.

"How do you mean?" Kara asked.

"Not believing that Landon was to blame."

"Well yes. Alex's first assumption was Landon had staged all of it. But Maggie doesn't know that because she doesn't take us seriously and won't listen."

"You have a mean streak Kara Danvers. When and why did it appear?"

"I think it is all this sneaking around trying to prove Landon is up to something." Kara said. "Should I tone it down it?"

"No. I like it. Just don't go full Luthor." Lena said as there was a knock on the door.

Lowering her glasses Kara looked through the door and said in surprise.

"Eliza?"

Hurrying to the door she opened it and immediately greeted.

"Eliza? What are you doing here?"

Eliza's response was to draw Kara in for a hug and asked.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Kara assured her.

"Why didn't you answer my calls?" Eliza asked finally releasing Kara.

"My phone broke." Kara explained. "Sorry."

"Are you sure you are okay?" Eliza questioned.

"I promise you I am fine." Kara assured her before Eliza noticed Lena in the kitchen.

"Hello Lena."

"Hi Eliza." Lena smiled. "Coffee?"

"Thank you." Eliza said moving towards the kitchen area with Kara.

"Okay, I have the-" Alex announced as she walked through the door only to see Eliza, stop speaking and leave the apartment. After a while the door reopened and a confused Alex entered asking. "Just to check, this is my Earth right?"

"Yes." Kara assured.

"Assuming you are our Alex." Lena pointed out.

"This is Earth-38." Kara said.

"That's what Winn said." Alex said before looking at her mother. "Hey mom."

"Would you like me to go?"

"No, of course not. Seeing you just threw me a little. It's been a weird day. What are you doing here?"

"Seeing you have both been ignoring me, I wanted to make sure you were ok."

"Shouldn't we be?" Alex asked.

"Ignoring your sister's belly flop dive yesterday?"

"It's called the ACME anvil." Lena pointed out.

"That's not helping." Kara commented.

"I know." Lena smiled. When Alex glared at her she added. "Well I should go. I'll see you later."

"Do you want to take one of these with you?" Kara asked holding out the box Maggie had brought.

"No. I'd like to make it past forty." Lena replied before leaving.

"Seeing you were meant to be resting when did you go get doughnuts?" Alex asked Kara.

"I didn't. Maggie brought them round."

"My Maggie?"

"Yes."

"Brought doughnuts?"

"Yes."

"This is so not my Earth." Alex grumbled.

"Relax, it was a thank you for yesterday." Kara said.

"Did Maggie get hurt yesterday?" Eliza asked frowning.

"A few scratches." Alex replied.

"What about you?" Eliza pressed.

"Me? I'm fine. I wasn't even there." Alex said sounding guilty before looking at Kara and asking. "How are you feeling?"

"Fine. The same as last time you asked."

"I still want to run some scans."

"I'm fine. Besides Eliza is here." Kara pointed out.

"You should have the scans." Eliza said.

"I'll go in this afternoon." Kara conceded.

"Fine." Alex agreed before looking at her mother.

"If she acts weirder than normal-"

"I'll bring her straight to the DEO." Eliza assured her.

"Okay." Alex said before looking at Kara and saying. "You are banned from Supergirl duties today."

"Bu-" Kara started to protest.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure she stays away from the cape." Eliza said.

-00-

"Is Kara okay?" J'onn asked when he saw Alex in the lab.

"She's fine. But I told her no Supergirl duties today."

"Then why are you so agitated?"

"Mom is in the City."

"Is she okay?"

"She was worried about Kara. We may have forgotten to call her last night." She confessed.

"So did I." J'onn said looking guilty.

"You normally call my mom?" Alex asked.

"After something has happened, yes. I don't want her to worry." J'onn explained. "If you want something to take your mind off it, why don't you lead the department meeting?"

"Is that a punishment?"

"A suggestion. Would you prefer therapy?"

"I'd prefer to catch the bomber."

"NCPD already have." J'onn said. "So therapy or department head meeting?"

"Department head meeting it is." Alex said.

-00-

"I thought you had the day off." Winn said when he saw Kara that afternoon.

"I do, but Alex wants me to have lots of scans."

"Now it makes sense." Winn said.

"What does?" Kara asked confused.

"I was sure I saw you come out of Landon's office earlier, but I was also sure you weren't here. But then I saw Landon who had that 'I've just seen Alex and Kara' look so I was sure you must have had a session. But still I hadn't seen you in the control room so was worried. But now I know you are and were here, I know I was not hallucinating."

"I didn't have therapy today." Kara said confused.

"Then why were you coming out of Landon's office with Alex? Tell me you've not done something bad."

"I have no idea what you are talking about." Kara said. "Where's Alex?"

"She's in the lab I think."

-00-

"I think you need to run some scans on me." Kara said.

"Why?" Alex questioned looking concerned.

"I think the fall may have done some major damage."

"What's happened?" Alex asked frowning as she led Kara to the scanner.

"I have a memory hole."

"As in you forgot what you had for breakfast or you forgot someone or -"

"I'm missing a chunk of time. I literally have no recollection of our last therapy session."

"You forgot driving Landon to the edge just as Pam walked past? Why do you think we were in the seminar?" Alex asked hooking Kara up.

"I remember that one. I meant today's session."

"What session?" Alex asked confused.

"The one we went to a three hours ago."

"What are you talking about?" Alex asked. "We've not had a session today."

"Yes we have."

"No, we haven't."

"Yes. We have."

"No. We haven't." Alex countered. "Seeing you can't remember having one why are you so insistent?"

"Because Winn said we did."

"I so need more coffee." Alex said staring at her empty cup in the corner. "Why did Winn say we had therapy?"

"He said he thought he saw us leave Landon's office a few minutes before talking to Landon in the kitchen. And he said Landon looked even more confused than normal."

"Seeing we didn't leave Landon's office, Winn must be wrong."

"He was pretty sure he was right." Kara said.

"And you think it is more likely that we are both suffering memory loss than Winn being wrong?" Alex asked. "If it makes you fell better I will run all the scans."

"Okay." Kara said before asking. "Why aren't you accusing Landon of doing something?"

"Because I was in meetings all morning, with witnesses. So unless he has got hold of some alien tech that can re-write memories of not just us, but other people he has not seen, it seems safe to say that Winn was wrong."

"You sure?"

"I'm sure." Alex said before asking. "Are you just trying to distract me from the fact that mom is at your place."

"No. But you do seem more relaxed now."

"I'm not."

"Eliza was fine this morning." Kara said.

"She was saving it for tonight or she couldn't decide what to pick me up on first."

"I think you are being paranoid."

"Not so loud. Those words will result in more therapy." Alex pointed out.

"Good point. But if it makes you feel better Eliza is not at my place."

"She's gone home already?"

"No. She's here talking with J'onn."

"Why would that make me feel better?" Alex asked torn between extracting Eliza from the DEO and just avoiding her.

-00-

"Sorry I'm late." Alex said as she finally entered Kara's apartment that evening.

"At least you didn't walk straight out of the door again." Eliza pointed out as J'onn and Maggie nodded at Alex.

"You just took me by surprise this morning." Alex said sheepishly before quickly changing the topic. "So what have you been up to today?"

"Is this where you pretend you didn't go out of your way to avoid me at the DEO?" Eliza asked.

"I didn't avoid you. I just didn't seek you out. I was working. And I meant before you came to the DEO."

"I went shopping with your sister. Now she has a new phone and no excuse not to return my calls."

"I'm sorry about that." Alex apologised.

"I know and it wasn't just you. I just worry." Eliza confessed.

"Next time we'll make sure at least one of us calls." J'onn assured Eliza.

"While I appreciate that, I'd prefer there not to be a next time."

"We'll do our best." Kara offered after an awkward silence.

"I know." Eliza said. "But I will always worry about you. All of you she added looking round the room."

"Perhaps you guys should have a family ther-" Maggie started only to realise she was opening a can of worms and fell silent.

"Family what?" Kara asked.

"Getaway?" Maggie tried.

"As much as I love that idea, I only have a few spare days I can take off and I am hoping to use those for your wedding." Eliza said. "Assuming you two are still planning on getting married."

"Why wouldn't we be?" Alex questioned.

"Let me answer this one." Maggie jumped in. "Probably because of the complete lack of progress that we are making."

"I wouldn't have put it quite like that." Eliza said.

"Things have been a little crazy round here." Alex explained.

"That's the biggest understatement ever." Maggie muttered.

"Do you need help?" Eliza offered.

"We just need to focus." Alex said. "Which would be easier if Landon wasn't around." She said looking at J'onn.

"Is he still giving you a hard time?" Eliza asked.

"It is so the other way round." Maggie commented.

"It was his fa-" Alex started only for Maggie to poignantly look at her. Stopping speaking Alex paused and then said. "He's a jerk, but for J'onn we are still attending."

"If it makes you feel better the suffering they think they undergo at the sessions is nothing compared to the suffering that Landon goes through." Maggie said.

"Then why does he insist on them attending?" Eliza asked.

"That is a very good question." Alex commented.

"It's his job." Maggie replied.

"No one loves their job that much." Kara argued.

"You willingly worked for Cat Grant for years." J'onn pointed out. "I still have nightmares from the handful of hours I spent with her while pretending to be you."
