Barnabas and Roxanne talk to Will Loomis, asking hi -, as a writer who has studied such matters - what they may be facing.

Will is upset at what the family has planned for him.

"It is going to be you, first, and in seven years it will be me, as long as Carolyn has had children."

He promises to look in his records, but says that it may be possible to interrogate those who were sacrificed before.

"They put a bond of silence on those they kill." Barnabas answers. "I tried talking to Joe Haskell, and he could not tell me anything. We could break Carolyn's bond, but we do not know how to break the bond on the dead,"

"I may be able to help with that". Will says. "Give me a day or two and I will give you the answer"

"As long as nothing happens in the meantime"

"As long as you do not get an invitation to a family gathering, you should be safe."

Barnabas sighed. "Up to now the worry was wheher those I visited would be safe. Now I am the one who has to worry."

"It may be new for you." Roxanne says "But as a federal fugitive I have had my share of times being prey"
