I See Your Monsters
Jack walked in the dark of the night.
She was hoping he was willing to talk.
After what happened in school, he surely needed a shoulder to cry on. And someone to be by his side when he cracks. Or to make sure he doesn't.
Elsa was the only one who saw him for who he wasn't. A Monster.
Elsa arrived at the tree-house. It looked super dark inside. She sighed then headed inside to see how he was doing.
"Jack? Are you in?" She called out.
But there wasn't any answer back.
Elsa looked around making her way around the place, heading further down into his tree and found him in his bed.
"Jack. It's Elsa. I wanted to see how you've been." She said.
Jack didn't say anything. He just shifted in his bed. Meaning he at least heard her.
"Jack." Elsa sat on the side of the bed patting his head. "I'm here. Want to talk about it? or cry it out?" She offered.
Jack didn't speak.
"It's fine. I'm here for you." She said giving a half smile.
Jack shifted turning over in his bed and laid his head in her lap.
Elsa wasn't startled by it. This wasn't the first time he's done this.
Anytime he's upset and doesn't want to talk but is glad she's there he'll do this.
He's only done this a few times so Elsa knows to expect it if he's not talking at all to her.
Elsa began humming to Jack while stroking his white-silver hair. He wrapped his arms around her glad she was here with him.
Elsa couldn't believe everyone think he's going to turn to Pitch Black's side.
She was the one who was always down and he's make her laugh just to feel something.
But hearing them say he's evil, that he's nothing but a troubled trickster. A monster. Then she feels so angry.
But no matter what everyone else does, Anna, Rapunzel, Hiccup or the other guardians, she is the one person who understand him. Because...they are more alike then everyone thinks.
"Elsa." Jack finally speaks.
"Yea?" She responds.
"Thank you." He said.
Elsa smiled perfectly. She cares for Jack. As he has for her even if she says she's annoyed with him. It's just her trying to to get too close. But truth be told, she loves him more then anyone in the whole world.
"Your welcome, Frosty." She giggled and gives his a light kiss on his cheek.
Jack blushed a little but closed his eyes and fall asleep.
Elsa continued her turn of humming till Jack was at peace in his sleep.
"Your nothing like Pitch. Your not evil. You are a fun and trusting person Jack. And I wouldn't want anyone else in my life, who's better then you." She whispered to him.
It all quiet as Elsa slowly fell asleep with Jack in her lap.
It was like there wasn't anything in the world that could bring them down.
By the next day, Elsa and Jack went to school together, which Anna was very happy about, but they only smiled. No words were spoken between them as the day went on like usual.
"Elsa."
"Hello North, Bunny, and Tooth." She acknowledged the three head guardians.
"We were hoping to talk to you about Jack." North said.
Elsa nodded knowing that they are looking out for him. "We were thinking that us guardians, we need a different base. We can't keep coming to the school. And with Jack...We just think it's better if he were somewhere different." Tooth explained.
Elsa knew that this was for the best. "Maybe one day, you'll be coming with us too." Bunny said with a wiggle of his nose.
Elsa laughed. Then suddenly there was yelling.
Elsa jumped up first and headed towards the crowd of people.
"What's going on?!" She asked.
She forced her way to find Jack on the ground and bleeding.
"Ha! Your nothing but evil!"
"Yea. Your just a trouble-maker."
"Trickster."
"FREAK!"
"MONSTER!"
"Just like the Snow Queen."
Elsa had ice forming in her hands as she got more angry.
"Enough!" Elsa hit one of the boys hitting Jack and stood over him. "Your calling us the monsters? Look at yourselves. See what you've done?" She helped Jack up, showing that he was near death, again.
Everyone was quiet. "If you call us the monsters, then you know what that makes you? Frankenstein. The master who created US!" She yelled.
Elsa did have a point. "And for those who do this," Looking down at Jack. "Are the villagers who KILL the doctor and the monster." She said.
Everyone began backing away as she walked Jack out of the crowd.
"Yeah. Run away you little-"
Jack frosted the boy's mouth before calling Elsa the worst thing he would hear of. And it also saved the boy's life. Jack knew Elsa was right. And he agreed fully. But there was one thing Frankenstein didn't have. An anchor of love.
So, the guardians took Jack away from the school.
No one made another comment about her or Jack being monsters of anything like that. And that one boy and his friends were expelled as North told the principle what was happening to Jack.
But as night, in her own home, Elsa looked forward to one thing.
"I see your monsters, I see your pain. Tell me your problems and I'll chase them away."
She sang out the window. And in the wind, she could hear the response.
"I'll be your lighthouse and I'll make it okay. When I see the monsters, I'll stand there so brave and we'll chase them all away."
Jack's voice carried.
No matter where, they're love would last. Even over thousands of years.
