In Between Friends.
Jack and Elsa
"I don't hate him, but I don't love him." Elsa tried to explain to her friends.
"So something in between?" Anna asked. "Yes."
"Then that would be friends." Rapunzel said. "Yes. For now." Merida smirked.
Elsa rolled her eyes. "Come on you two. I'm being serious here." Elsa said.
"Be glad Astrid or Moana isn't here or they'd be all over it." Merida said.
"Look, your somewhere in the middle of your feelings of being friends and from falling in love. All you need to do, is determine which side you are on." Anna explained.
"How sis?" Elsa asks not liking the sound of her idea.
"By going on a full all day date!" Rapunzel said.
"I DO wish Astird and Moana were here." Elsa whispered to Merida.
"Come on Elsa. This will be a good way to tell if you like or like-like Jack." Anna said.
"Anna. I love you, but this might be a little much." Elsa said.
"Oh no! You aren't getting out of this that easily." Rapunzel said.
"How about this idea." Merida interrupted. "How about, Jack and Elsa just go on a short date. Like going out for ice cream. It's something they are comfortable with. And if they want to do anything extra, they can." Merida said.
Elsa smiled at her friend. "I love that Idea. And Jack owes me a free ice cream anyway." She added.
Anna nodded. "It's a start."
Rapunzel crossed her arms and huffed. "Fine."
Elsa was glad to not be on a all day thing with Jack. She didn't know if she could stand it.
"I'll call him right now." Elsa said and pulled out her phone.
"Shouldn't-"
"Rapunzel. Just sit down and let Elsa do this herself." Merida snapped.
Elsa called and talked to Jack. "Ice cream? Say tomorrow? 11? Great! See you then." And hung up. "It's done. Meeting tomorrow at our ice cream place around 11 O clock." Elsa informed the girls.
With a nod from all three, tomorrow's hang out date was a GO!
Jack on the other hand, got off the phone and sat down in his special chair in a panic.
"Elsa?"
"She asked to meet up at our normal place. Tomorrow at 11. I'm toast right?" Jack asked.
Flynn and Hiccup looked at each other and nodded. "Yup. It's a hang date."
Jack groaned. He didn't want things to be awkward with Elsa. he only hoped things would be just fine.
"What am I going to do? I don't want anything to be-"
"One don't talk about it. I mean how bad would this really be? You do like her a lot." Flynn said.
Jack shook his head. "Yea. I do. I mean, I sort of love her but-"
"Jack. You really do love Elsa. That's a huge main fact." Hiccup said.
"What do I do? I don't want our friendship to be ruined." Jack said.
"Just talk to her about-"
"Nope! Wrong. Hiccup you can't tell Jack to talk to her about this." Flynn said.
"I'll handle this on my own." Jack said getting off his chair and heading up to his room.
The next day, Elsa and Jack met up at their usual spot and it was a sunny cool day.
Jack and Elsa were normal as could be. Like friends should be. But this wasn't the same. They both had mixed feelings for each other and they needed to get this all figured out.
"Elsa. Why did you ask me out here?" Jack asked.
Elsa took a bite of her ice cream before speaking. "Actually, Jack...It's about us." She started off.
"Oh. Please Elsa. I know that there is something different between us and-"
"That's it though."
"Huh?" Jack wasn't understanding.
"I think we both know that...we have some feeling, deeper than friends somewhere but we can't find it. Or bring ourselves to think or say it. At least, not to each other." Elsa said. "And what I think we should do about this..us is..."
"Simply ignore it?" Jack questioned. He wasn't sure if that's what she was going to say but hoped it wasn't.
"No. I mean, I want us to...take time and explore what we are feeling. before really setting anything in." Elsa explained.
Jack understood. "So, we keep going like...this? You and me. Hanging out, alone." Jack grinned a little.
Elsa blushed but nodded. "I mean if you want to." She said.
"Sure. I'm down for that. We're both-"
"In the middle. Between friends and...more than friends." Elsa finished.
With that, Jack and Elsa kept up with their hang dating for awhile.
But being in the middle, wasn't so bad.
