Skylar paled at the sight of the train.
Of course it had to be a stupid train, Skylar thought to herself, wanting to run away. Why couldn't Luke have gotten a job in Magnolia? Now Skylar, being a dragon slayer, has to suffer.
She had no idea how to make her motion sickness cease, unlike her mother, who was quite brilliant at it. Skylar couldn't even do it on others, much less herself, which is more difficult, she'd heard.
"Um, on second thought, I'd rather not get on a train," Luke said, staring at the contraption in horror.
Nashi nodded. "No matter how big the reward is, it's not worth it."
"What babies." Storm scoffed.
"Wait, are you guys dragon slayers or do you just have motion sickness?" Skylar asked.
"I'm the fire dragon slayer," Nashi said, "and Luke's the celestial dragon slayer."
"What's your magic, BlackBerry?" Reiki asked.
"Uh... sky dragon slayer," Skylar said.
"Oh, so do you get motion sicknesses, too?" Storm asked.
Skylar nodded.
"Ha! Dragon slayers outnumber non dragon slayers!" Nashi said, sticking her tongue out.
"In your faces!" Luke said.
Nashi elbowed Skylar and Luke gave her a pointed look.
"Um, go team?" Skylar tried.
"Well, we're not the ones that are gonna be suffering, now are we?" Storm said with a smirk. "So in your faces."
"Go team!" Reiki said in a high pitch squeal, mocking Skylar.
"Watch it, Strawberry!" Skylar growled.
"Watch it, Strawberry," Reiki mocked her.
"Why, you——"
"Guys, guys," Storm stepped in between Reiki and Skylar Before Skylar could attack him. "Let's just get on the train."
Skylar, Luke and Nashi all turned green.
•••
Skylar groaned, clutching her sides. She would have probably been more embarrassed if not for the fact that Nashi and Luke were just as green faced as Skylar was.
"Pure hell..." Nashi muttered.
"Listening to you guys is pure hell for me," Storm muttered.
"I'mma... sleep." Luke said weakly, clutching his eyes closed.
"Aw, is wittle BlackBerry feeling sicky?" Reiki cooed and then wrinkled his nose. "...That sounded better in my head."
Skylar was too 'sicky' to say anything more than, "Mmth." If she said anything else, she'll probably puke, but Reiki's obnoxious voice is making her feel even more nauseous, if that was even possible.
"AGONY!" Nashi yelled.
"You three do know the train hasn't left yet... right?" Storm questioned, rolling his eyes.
"Oh..." Skylar muttered, suddenly realizing that Storm was correct, as heat from embarrassment creeping up on her cheeks. "I totally knew that..." Skylar lied unconvincingly.
"Wait, we're not moving?" Nashi chuckled awkwardly, suddenly looking a little better.
Luke didn't say anything because he was sleeping —— his snores made that evident enough —— his head was leaning against the window, and drool was coming out of his mouth.
"No, we're not," Reiki said monotonously.
"I bet you guys feel pretty stupid now." Storm smirked.
"Take that back, stripper!" Nashi growled.
"I'm not a——"
"Your clothes are missing," Skylar pointed out. "Where did they even go? You had them a minute ago..."
Storm yelped, glancing down to see that he only had boxers on, no shirt or pants. "When did this happen?" he asked in disbelief.
Skylar glances out of the window, anxiety creeping up on her. Once the train moves, it's going to feel like hell for her —— and Nashi and Luke, but Luke's asleep, so maybe not, but...
"BlackBerry," Reiki said with a smirk, "I think you may be even more dramatic about your motion sickness than those two. How pathetic!" He laughed, causing Skylar to shoot him a glare.
Skylar opened her mouth to resort to Reiki's obvious jab at her, until the train started moving, prompting Skylar to throw up on him, causing Nashi and Storm to erupt into laughter, though Reiki was left unamused, his face turning as red as his hair.
"What the hell, BlackBerry!"
