Hello everyone.

... let's just get on with the show.

XXX Chapter Start XXX

Shirou stood frozen as he stared at the black Prinny currently sitting in the middle of the room atop a colored tile.

To think that he was currently stuck in such a situation.

Back when Kiritsugu had died he had assumed he would never meet the man again, but now here he was, right before him, trapped in the body of a stuffed penguin in order to pay off his sins.

"Do it Shirou Dood," his father said, the verbal tic that all Prinnies shared coming through despite his different coloration.

"I can't…" he responded, there was no way he could strike down his father figure.

"You have to dood," the black prinny stated without hesitation.

Taking a deep breath, he started making his way through the barriers.

He would have considered using Rule Breaker but it nullified contracts, not magical phenomena in general, otherwise it would have destroyed Saber instead of simply breaking her contract with him.

Meaning the dagger would be useless against the barriers.

He couldn't even recall any weapon he witnessed from Archer's version of Unlimited Blade Works, or Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon that could deal with the barrier.

So his only course of action was to get to Kiritsugu and remove him from the place he was tied up in.

"Yes… go on," the demonic princess said as she sat on the balcony, clearly having moved from standing behind the railing to sitting on it in an attempt at getting an even better view, "do what you know you must."

He grit his teeth as he headed towards Kiritsugu.

It felt like an eternity before he reached his father.

"Hello dad," he said, earning a sigh from the Prinny.

"You need to strike me down dood," the black prinny told him once again.

He shook his head.

"No, all I have to do is untie you and get you out of here," he pointed out, "if the only way to lower those barriers is to kill you, then she'll be trapped in there if I do that."

"No… that's not how it works Dood," he froze at that response.

"What do you mean?" he asked, wondering just why his dad would say something like that.

"I'm trapped on a Geo-panel that disperses the damage, the damage will flow to that block over there, which will break, then it will transform the panels to match the No-Entry tiles while destroying another Geo-block, which will turn all the panels to the same color and then destroy the block that erases the Geo-Panels dood," he followed along, looking at the different blocks that he spoke of and noticing that they were easily accessible by Meena.

Meaning that even if he simply removed Kiritsugu from the area, she could just break the barrier herself.

However…

"So I just remove you then wait for her to starve out," he said.

"You can't remove me dood," Shirou jerked his head to look at his dad, "there is a restriction on my movement and I'm a Prinny, so lifting me is a death sentence dood."

Shirou started to look at the situation once again.

He couldn't lift Kiritsugu and Kiritsugu couldn't move himself but there was naturally going to be a loophole.

"I could just pull you out," he said as he readied himself to try and pull his father off the tile.

"I told you dood, I can't leave this square," his dad said with a dead tone.

"I refuse to accept that," he said bluntly.

There was no way he was going to let his adopted father die again.

He was also definitely not going to kill him himself.

And so he grabbed one of his dad's flippers and started to pull.

Immediately he felt resistance.

"Weren't you listening?" Meena said from her position on the railing, "it's useless to try and save him."

He pushed her words out of his head.

There was no reason to trust what she was telling him after all.

He tried to pull even harder, eventually reinforcing his body in an attempt at overpowering whatever was holding Kiritsugu in place.

His grip gave out before whatever was holding him in place.

"Grrk," he spluttered as he fell on his ass.

"Do you want me to blow him up?" Trinity asked and he looked at her, his face an outright glare.

"No, no blowing anyone up," he ordered without reservation.

He looked at both Lotsa and Alyssa, seeing Alyssa was just looking around the room with a look of disinterest adorning her face while Lotsa looked like she was actually trying to consider the situation.

"Shirou-sama… have you considered using that world you can conjure up?" the girl who was so persistently trying to please him asked and he frowned.

"I think it may be too risky to try that here," he said.

"World you can conjure dood?" Kiritsugu spoke up, "that… sounds an awful lot like a Reality Marble dood."

He blinked, "yeah, I have a reality marble."

Kiritsugu looked at him in clear surprise at that admission.

"… I really failed you dood."

Shirou stared as anger rose within him.

"You didn't fail me," he declared firmly.

"Yes I did dood," the prinny responded without delay, "the fact you're here and have a reality marble is proof that I failed you."

He had to resist the urge to hit his father for that statement.

But instead, he just took a deep breath and considered other ways to get around the matter.

He couldn't pull his father but both him and Meena had mentioned lifting him, meaning it wasn't a blanket prevention of movement but more a specific type of movement.

"Trace On," he mutted as he projected something between his father and the barrier.

"Is that… projection dood?" his father sounded confused and somewhat disappointed.

"Yeah… turns out my projections are a bit stronger than most," he let his dad know before activating the thing he had projected.

A Hydraulic Press.

It extended, pushing against his dad and the wall itself.

Just because he couldn't pull his father didn't mean he couldn't shove him off the tile.

"You're… really getting desperate aren't you?" Meena asked from her place up high.

"Shut up," he said immediately.

He really didn't want to have to put up with her right now.

Watching the press moving, he saw his dad's body resisting the push, eventually grinding up against what looked almost like a barrier.

"Trace On," he mutted as he started to try and analyze what was preventing his dad from moving.

What he saw made him blink.

The area had two rules.

No movement and disperse damage.

Meaning he couldn't actually get his dad out of there.

"Shit," he cursed as he dispelled the press.

How could he possibly get his dad out of there if he couldn't move at all?

"I told you dood, you need to kill me," his dad said with no hope in his tone.

"And I told you, I'm not going to kill you," he said firmly.

Rubbing his forehead to stem the migraine that was forming, he started to search Unlimited Blade Works for something… anything that could help him out of the situation.

There just wasn't anything he could find even within the wasteland of his mind.

Glancing at Meena he noticed the grin still marring her face and he felt anger rise up within him at how much enjoyment she was taking from this.

He took another deep breath.

Getting pissed off wouldn't help him in this situation.

He considered projecting something to raise Kiritsugu off the panel but there was no way to get him into it in the first place.

In the end, he just didn't know how to get around the panel.

Meaning that the only way he could possibly get through it was by removing the tile itself.

Taking a deep breath, he made the decision to risk it.

"I am the bone of my sword."

"Shirou Dood?"

"Steel is my body and fire is my blood."

"Eh? You mean you're actually going to risk it?" Meena's voice cut in.

"I have created over a thousand blades."

"So… you're actually going to use it despite what you said," Lotsa sounded put out as she said that.

"Unaware of loss, nor aware of gain."

"Withstood pain to create weapons, waiting for ones arrival."

"I have no regrets, this is the only path."

"My whole life was, Unlimited Blade Works."

And with that, he felt his mental landscape spread through the area, knocking against the no-entry barrier and stopping.

But it was enough.

Opening his eyes, he saw the landscape of Unlimited Blade Works spreading out before him, Lotsa, Alyssa and Trinity all stood behind him as Kiritsugu stood in front of him, no longer restrained by the Geo-Panel.

"This is… too much dood," the black prinny declared as he looked around the world in obvious surprise.

"Yeah… now come on, let's get you out of here," he said as he moved over to his dad, calling a small knife to his hand with a single thought and cutting the rope that bound him.

"I… you're not giving up on me are you dood?" the prinny said with a clear sense of guilt.

"Yeah… you're my dad, even if you're in that body now," he said as he moved the man away and dismissed his reality marble.

When the marble was extinguished, he noted that the panel his dad had previously been trapped on was now empty but had returned to its previous state after his marble was dismissed.

"Tch," Meena was clearly unhappy with his success, "well, I guess you'll just have to live with the fact that you chose to save that prinny instead of facing me."

Shirou narrowed his eyes before smirking.

"Actually…" he said before projecting a simple wooden box onto the panel, "I can easily break it now."

"Wha-!" before she could finish her sentence, he struck the box with all his might, breaking it apart and dispersing all the damage he had inflicted.

The result was a chain reaction of Geo-cubes breaking and panels changing color in a cascade that only stopped when the room was clear of geo-panels.

"Now…" he said as he looked at the now unprotected girl, "it's time to wipe that smirk off your face."

She immediately swallowed nervously before vanishing into thin air.

"Trinity! Area bombardment!" he commanded.

"Yay!" and with that, the area Meena had previously been suffered a shower of ice.

Watching closely, he noted where the ice was striking against the invisible girl and charged forward, calling Kanshou and Byakuya to his hands as he prepared to eviserate the girl that had tried to make him kill his own father.

"Trinity, stop!" he commanded as he reached the edge of the shower.

Almost immediately the demonic mage stopped her spell even if he found himself getting struck by a few blocks of ice.

Despite the strikes against him, he kept his focus on the last location he saw Meena.

"Trace On."

Firing the trigger in his head, he analysed the air surrounding her, granting him a mental outline of where she was and swung.

Closing his eyes to help him focus, he noted her dodging out of the way of his strike and aiming her own attack at his open side.

Unfortunately for her, his other blade rose to block her.

Time and time again he struck and time and time again she dodged.

He felt his frustration slowly growing as he failed to land a single hit on her.

And then his focus was drawn to another object entering the area.

It was round and had a long piece of what appeared to be rope coming from it, currently interacting with the air he was analyzing…

Oh shit.

He jumped back as the object blew up, sending shrapnel everywhere… including at the younger daughter of the Overlord.

"WAAGGHHH!" her voice sounded through the area but he pushed through that distraction and rushed her once again.

This time she didn't manage to dodge.

Blade struck flesh and he pushed through the feeling of blood splattering on him as he proceeded to follow up with another strike.

And another.

Then another.

"Stop…"

He struck again.

"Please Shirou-sama… please stop…"

He stopped his slash.

Opening his eyes he looked at the state the youngest Plotz was in.

She was no longer invisible and was barely standing as blood pooled down her, her eyes glazed over and tears streaking down her face.

He looked at her for a couple of seconds before she collapsed to the floor.

Turning his attention to the source of the voice, he saw Lotsa standing there, her eyes closed as she looked away.

He took a deep breath as he looked at the girl he had just defeated.

And then he let out the tension that had filled his body.

Of course Lotsa wouldn't want to see her little sister getting butchered.

Hell, looking at Meena now made him feel sick at himself.

Despite everything she had done, she was still a little girl and he hadn't even considered what he was doing when he had decided she was his enemy.

"Alyssa… can you carry her back with us?" he asked the white haired demon.

"Yeah, sure thing boss," she answered without hesitation, "I guess you want her healed and taken to the dungeon right?"

"Yeah," he replied as he felt a weakness fall over him.

Looking at Lotsa he decided he had only one thing he could do.

"Thank you Lotsa."

She jerked in clear surprise as her eyes widened and she stared at him.

"Wha?"

"Thank you," he repeated.

As much as Meena may have been a problem for him, he was already seeing too many parallels between him and Gilgamesh, especially now he could fire off his Noble Phantasms without issue thanks to his increased magical reserves.

Hell, he had defeated Lotsa and Alyssa the same way Gilgamesh had fought others during the Grail War, he was starting to think of himself as the Overlord and more.

He didn't want to mimic the golden kings murder of Illya too.

Shaking his head clear, he watched as Alyssa walked past him and picked up the winged demon he had just defeated.

"I guess… it's time to go home," he said, feeling more tired than he had ever expected to feel again.

"Of course Shirou-sama~!" Trinity responded wtihout delay.

"Are you coming with us dad?" he asked the black prinny who released a sigh of his own.

"I suppose there isn't anything else for me to do dood."

He found himself releasing a sigh as he heard that.

His dad would have to work on breaking himself of that habit when they got back to his castle.

XXX The Fate Of A Hero Complex Overlord XXX

Lotsa couldn't stop herself from shivering as she returned to the castle.

She had always thought that seeing Meena get what was coming to her would be satisfying…

And then her sister's invisibility had dropped after being struck from behind by a bomb sent rolling that way by Shirou's father.

Seeing her little sister getting sliced up by Shirou-sama had been painful.

It had taken everything she could muster to weakly ask him to stop.

But he had done so.

She had thought that she would be punished for that action… but instead he had thanked her.

The return had been nearly silent but she glanced at her sister as Alyssa carried her to the medic.

She felt relief well up in her upon seeing her sister receiving treatment.

It was only now that she realized one simple little fact.

She didn't want her sister to die.

"Shirou-sama… what will happen to Meena?" she asked him, hoping his answer would set her mind at ease.

"… I don't know," he responded, his tone tired as he shook his head, "I guess it depends on if she will pledge her allegiance to me."

She nodded weakly in response.

There was no reason for him to spare her if she refused to obey him.

"S-Shirou-sama…" she didn't know if this would get her in trouble or not, but she had to know, "w-why did you thank me?"

He blinked and gave her a tired smile.

"I… am already becoming too much like someone I hate… killing her would just make me even more like him," he responded and she blinked.

"Who are you talking about dood?" the black prinny that was once Shirou-sama's father asked.

"Gilgamesh… the Archer of the Fourth Grail War," Shirou-sama responded without delay.

"You think you're becoming like him dood?" the prinny asked in obvious disbelief.

"I said too much like him," he replied with a shake of his head, "not exactly like him."

She frowned at that.

"In what ways are you like him dood?" the prinny named Kiritsugu asked.

"… can you please stop saying dood all the time?" Shirou asked the man with a grimace.

"… sorry dood," the prinny responded clearly tired, "but that is Prinny Rule Number One… always include the word 'dood' in every line you say."

Shirou blinked at that.

"In every line you say?" he asked with a twitching eye.

"Yes dood," Kiritsugu responded, "it's… complicated dood."

Shirou started to rub his forehead once again.

"Still, you don't need to do that here," Shirou-sama responded.

"Sorry but it was part of our fundamental training dood," the black prinny said in response.

Shirou-sama for his part just released a sigh.

"Well, I guess it'll just take you some time to get back to a normal speech pattern," Shirou muttered.

"Shirou-sama… is it… is it okay if I go to the dungeons?" she decided to risk asking.

"Yeah, as long as you don't free the prisoners then it's fine," he said with a soft smile.

"Thank you Shirou-sama," she responded before making her way towards the dungeon.

She may have wanted to meet Shirou-sama's father properly but she wouldn't be able to concentrate until she knew for certain her little sister was safe.

XXX The Fate Of A Hero Complex Overlord XXX

Shirou released another sigh as Lotsa left.

He could easily understand why she was concerned; after all, if the same thing had happened to Fuji-nee or Sakura-chan then he would have probably felt the same way.

"So… care to explain what's going on dood?" Kiritsugu asked as Trinity started skipping off, "why are you here, why are those demons obeying you and who are they in the first place dood?"

He shook his head clear.

"Come on dad, let's go and get something to eat first," he dismissed his adopted father, it was not a conversation he wanted to have with his current level of stress.

"You're stalling dood," the black prinny said and he nodded.

"Yeah… I'm exhausted and I need to unwind a little before I speak about everything that's happened since you died," he admitted.

The black prinny looked at him before releasing a sigh.

"Of course dood," his foster father said, "go get some rest, I can wait a while dood."

Shirou couldn't stop himself from internally frowning at his father continuing to add the 'dood' to all his sentences.

"Don't worry, I will tell you-" he was about to say 'everything' but stalled as he remembered what he had done with Rin to prepare for his fight with Gilgamesh, "almost everything."

The prinny's eyes narrowed at that.

"And how important is what you intend on leaving out dood?" Kiritsugu asked him and he grimaced.

"… that depends on what you value," he answered.

The prinny stared at him even as he felt his cheeks heating up at the mere idea of his father asking about such a thing.

"… is it about your sex-life dood?" the prinny asked.

Shirou nearly choked.

"… I will take that as a yes dood," the black prinny responded before releasing as sigh, "okay, I'll not pry any further dood."

Shirou almost froze at his adopted father's easy acceptance.

"You're okay with that?" he asked him with a frown.

"I did have a wife you know dood," the black prinny responded.

Shirou blinked in surprise.

"You never told me," he pointed out.

"There… were many things I didn't tell you dood," his adopted father said, "many of which I am not proud of dood."

Shirou really wished he would stop adding the dood all over the place… it made it hard to have a serious conversation with him.

But… it appeared it was ingrained into the man.

"I see," he accepted.

He was sure that there was nothing that would impact him amongst the list of things Kiritsugu hadn't told him.

"Anyway… I'm going to go and have a break," he said, "after that, we can talk about everthing."

The prinny nodded and Shirou made his way to the kitchen, his father starting to move in another direction.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"To meet with whoever oversees us prinnies dood," Kiritsugu said without delay, "I have a very long list of sins to work off dood."

Shirou felt a lump forming in his throat.

"D-do you really need to do that?" he asked the man that had saved him.

"Yes dood," the response was given without hesitation, "… if you want, I can tell you of some of them when we talk later dood… you really should know just what sort of monster adopted you."

Shirou felt a fire rising up in his chest.

There was no way he was going to accept his fathers claim that he was a monster.

"Kiritsugu, as the master of this castle, I command you to come with me," he declared, his resolve firm.

Immediately Kiritsugu's stuffed body froze.

It took several seconds for the man to turn his head and face him.

"Shirou… please don't do this dood," the man said, his voice almost pleading, "I know how much you looked up to me but I can't continue to live with the weight of my sins bearing down on me dood."

Shirou wanted to argue, he wanted his father to stay with him longer… but the look in his eyes told him everything.

Kiritsugu was broken beyond repair.

Shirou swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat before saying his next words.

"… go on… I will call you when I'm ready to talk," he said, causing the prinny's body to relax.

"Thank you dood," and with that, Kiritsugu made his way through a different corridor.

And Shirou felt his heart ache even worse than when Lancer had impaled it.

XXX The Fate Of A Hero Complex Overlord XXX

Kiritsugu didn't understand what was going on.

He had just graduated Hades and become a fully fledged prinny.

And his very first assignment had ended with him getting tied up as bait for some usurper who was fighting against the Overlord's army.

Then he discovered the usurper was Shirou.

How contrived.

Now he was going to have to deal with the possibility that Shirou had somehow died and escaped Hades.

The most interesting part was that he was not only clearly powerful but he still possessed his magic circuits, meaning he had either managed to avoid the assembly line's magic circuit removal process or had somehow managed to find them and put them back in after undergoing it.

He was better the first option.

Then there was the question of exactly what had happened since he had died.

Was Illya still alive?

Had she been killed for her connection to him?

There was simply too many questions he had.

But he would simply have to wait.

Shirou wanted some rest and he was but a prinny now entering his service… he had no right to question Shirou now.

At the same time however, he wanted to know what his adopted son had done since his death and how he had ended up in this situation.

"Oh? Is that a new prinny?" his attention was drawn to a voice and he looked at the owner.

A zombified maid.

Memories that hadn't been cleansed from him bubbled up and he let out an involuntary shiver.

"Yes ma'am dood," he responded obdiently.

He may have had too many bad memories tied to ghouls but he wasn't going to let himself be rendered useless by them.

"Well… I guess we could always do with more manpower," the maid said in response before turning away from him and muttering with malice clear in her tone, "and a new punching bag."

He was obviously not meant to hear her but he ignored it.

Any abuse he suffered here was simply karma for everything he had done.

"Yes dood," he responded.

"Now… what skills do you have Prinny?" she asked him and he considered what he was now capable of.

"I can clean and fight dood," he answered.

"No cooking?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

"… I… am safer for everyone if I stay out of the kitchen dood," he responded.

Even during his training as a prinny he had been unable ot progress in the art of food preparation.

At the very least there was the assurance that Shirou knew how to cook.

The maid scoffed.

"Not a very good Prinny are you?" she said with a sneer obvious in her tone.

"… no dood," he answered honestly, "at least Shirou knows how to cook himself dood."

She blinked before narrowing her eyes at him and then slapping him over the head.

"That is Shirou-sama to you worm," she told him and he nodded.

"Sorry dood," he responded.

It… would be hard to get used to calling the little boy he had adopted by that honorific.

"You will be if Shirou-sama hears you talk like that," she said before standing in a way that made it obvious she was aiming to look bigger than she was, "after all, he is the cruelest master we've ever had."

He had to blink at that.

"Cruel dood?" there was no way the boy he had raised could fit that description… could he?

"Yeah, he is actually willing to… to…" she started to struggle to find the words to say before leaning down to him and whispering, "force us to do charity work."

Kiritsugu blinked.

Then he blinked again.

A snort left his mouth as he tried to withhold the laughter that was attempting to escape his throat.

"It isn't funny!" the maid declared firmly.

"Sorry dood," he said as he considered just how he could easily see Shirou assign that particular punishment.

"Hmmph," the maid crossed her arms and pouted.

It did however make him wonder just why Shirou had zombie maids working at his castle.

Honestly, the mere fact he had a castle was enough cause for concern.

The Shirou he knew had been more at home in a traditional Japanese style house than a western style building.

Then again, he hadn't exactly had the opportunity to try out a place like the Einzbern mansion in Fuyuki.

"Where can I find the demon in charge of prinnies dood?" he asked.

She let out a viscious smirk before a vaguely familiar voice cut in.

"That would be Lotsa, she's currently in the dungeon," looking at the owner of the voice, he noted how the maid immediately stood at attention.

The owner was that white haired warrior with a spear… Alyssa if he remembered correctly.

"Then I shall seek her out dood," he said, "I need my assignment dood."

"Don't worry about that right now," the demonic fighter said with a shrug, "Lotsa is currently waiting for her little sister to wake up… though I gotta ask, what made you so sure Shirou-sama was striking at her when you rolled that bomb over there?"

He looked her dead in the eye.

"Shirou was too dedicated to his offense… it was obvious he could detect her somehow dood," he explained.

The smirk he got in response made it clear she wasn't going to argue.

"Uh… Alyssa-sama… why are you answering a mere prinny?" the maid asked.

"Oh? Cause he was Shirou-sama's dad when he was alive."

Kiritsugu watched as the walking corpse somehow managed to pale despite her already dead skin.

"E-e-eh!" the maid glanced at him and he refused to meet her eyes, "you… you mean I was just bu- I mean… -"

"Yep… you were bullying Shirou-sama's old man," the white haired demon said with a malicious grin, "now just imagine what he would inflict upon you if he ever found out."

The maid started to shake in obvious fear, her legs starting to give out beneath her.

"That won't be necessary dood," he cut in, causing both to look at him, "I am a prinny and I have a very large debt to pay off dood… being mistreated is perfectly reasonable for me to endure dood."

"Heh, I guess you got lucky there," the one named Alyssa said as she looked at the maid, "but I'd be more careful with your bullying from now on… you never know when Shirou-sama will find something… distasteful."

The demonic maid nodded vigorously, obviously more than happy to agree with those conditions.

Kiritsugu however, simply released a sigh.

"… so… what am I to do now dood?" he asked.

"For now, just get some rest," the warrior declared, "your boss isn't up to assigning you something to do so just refresh yourself and prepare for when she does."

He wanted to protest.

He had a list of sins long enough to stretch from New York to Fuyuki… well, it was a bit of an exaggeration but it had still taken several hours to list everything he had done and the charges for each.

The mere idea of working as a slave until he had saved enough money to pay for his reincarnation was something he felt wasn't harsh enough for some of the things he had done in his life.

But… for now he was being given instructions by a demon that wasn't Shirou… so he would just have to accept.

"Understood dood," he said while feeling just as worn down as he had been back during his final days on Earth.

"Good… now… I'm going to get a nap," the white haired demon said as she walked past him and the maid.

About a minute after the fighter had left, the maid finally spoke up.

"Why didn't you tell me you were Shirou-sama's father?"

"He was adopted and I don't want any special treatment dood," he responded.

"… you are one strange prinny," the maid said as she shook her head.

He idly wondered if the stitches keeping her head attached would come undone but they barely moved…

Perhaps they weren't actually stitches but aesthetic touches?

He couldn't tell anymore.

His training as a prinny had fractured his relationship with reality.

The maid proceeded to leave and he found himself alone once again.

Well… if he was to rest, then he'd just have to find somewhere prinnies were allowed and rest there.

And so he started his search.

XXX The Fate Of A Hero Complex Overlord XXX

Meena felt consciousness return to her slowly.

Opening her eyes she looked up from a hard bed and immediately realized what was going on.

She had lost.

Completely and utterly.

Shirou had not only managed to get through her trap but had also completely demolished her in battle.

With his eyes closed..

Wait… that wasn't quite right.

Something had hit her from behind and knocked her off balance.

Before that she had been avoiding all of his attacks with relative ease.

Admittedly she had failed to land any hits on him either but that was at best a stalemate.

"So you're awake."

She felt a grimace come across her face as her sister's voice cut in.

"…"

She kept silent.

"… Shirou-sama decided to spare you," her older sister said with a hint of something she didn't recognize in her voice.

"…"

She simply turned to face away from her.

There was no way she could live down what had happened after Shirou had landed his first strike.

She hadn't felt pain like that before.

And he didn't stop.

He just kept attacking and…

And she had been scared.

She didn't want to die.

But he had been about to kill her.

… so why hadn't he?

She thought back to the moments leading up to him relenting.

Trying to think through the memories of the pain, she tried to figure out why he had stopped.

But… but the pain and fear had been too much.

She couldn't remember anything else.

"…"

Silence continued within the cell.

"Meena… please, pledge your loyalty to Shirou-sama," her sister asked and she frowned.

What was with her voice?

It didn't matter.

There was no way she could face her sister after seeing her in such a state.

"…"

She continued to remain silent at Lotsa's words.

"… if you need anything… I am here," her older sister said and she felt unease rising within her.

Her sister was planning on staying there?

Was she that desparate to see her in such a state?

She simply closed her eyes as she clenched her teeth.

She would just have to tolerate this.

She had lost and now she was a prisoner.

That was all that mattered now.

XXX The Fate Of A Hero Complex Overlord XXX

Lotsa couldn't stop herself from looking at her sister lying in one of the many cells in the dungeon.

She wasn't surprised she was being given the silent treatment but… but somehow it still hurt.

Much more than she had expected it to.

Then again, she'd never seen her sister nearly die either.

Hopefully she would agree to join Shirou-sama's forces, if she did that then there was at least some hope that they might start getting along at some point.

"… you know… mother would ignore father whenever she was angry with him," she started to speak.

It had been a long time since she had last thought about her mother….

Then again, it had been only hours after she had given birth to Meena that she had died.

"Things were so different back then," she continued, "dad hadn't started his campaign yet, you hadn't been born yet and…"

She felt longing well up within her.

"And dad spent at least an hour a day with me…" she said.

"…"

"But… after mom died…" she continued, "he… grew distant… only cared about his conquest…"

She wanted those days back.

She wanted her mother to return.

She wanted her family to be one yet again.

Silently she wondered… would Shirou-sama do the same as her father if he lost a wife?

Releasing a sigh, she decided to continue talking to her sister.

She had so much to say.

So much she should have said.

She just hoped it wasn't too late.

Hades.

The training ground of all Prinnies.

The last stop on the Prinny Production Line.

"NO!"

One of the instructors grit their teeth as they dealt with a particularly stubborn soul.

A type of soul they had no actual policy in place for dealing with.

They weren't even supposed to exist.

"Prinny rule number 1!" the instructor said throught clenched jaws, "one must always include the word 'dood' in every line they say."

"No! I refuse," exactly why this soul hadn't simply been disposed of was beyond him.

Perhaps it was the fact it was half human?

Even so, stripping it of it's magic circuits had rendered it powerless to stand against them.

Though… exactly why it had been given a white prinny suit was beyond him.

They weren't even supposed to be in stock.

Taking a whip it struck at the Prinny who fell in response.

"Willing to listen now?" he asked.

"If you think that's enough to hurt me, then you have no idea the pain that I was in most of my life," the prinny declared.

The instructor's eye twitched.

How the hell was he supposed to deal with such an obstinate soul?

Why couldn't they have simply incinerated it like they had the other two that had come with it?

Just because it was half human didn't stop it from being half homunculus and the process with them was to burn it so it didn't corrupt the transmigration cycle.

Shaking his head, he returned to his job.

He would make this Soul learn.

Then perhaps he could get a promotion to janitor.
