"Um, excuse me? What on earth do you think you're doing?" Lila raged as she struggled against the grabs of the three policemen restraining her. "You will let go off me at once: I have my connections. I said get off, listen to me!"

One of them shook his head, "Don't even try Miss Rossi, we know everything."

"You're being arrested for the crimes you know you have committed," another policeman explained. "Once again, there's no need to try to prove yourself to be innocent. I would also suggest that you stop struggling: it'll make your life and ours much easier."

The criminal's mother was horrified at the sight of her precious daughter being taken away from her by the police, but deep down she knew that there was nothing that she could possibly do to prevent her daughter from spending her time in prison. She knew that her daughter was fully conscious when she constantly harassed Marinette, when she bullied many on the internet and when she claimed about 'connections' she had with celebrities to further intimidate her victims. As she gave her daughter one last look of disappointment, Lila felt her heart break for the first time in her entire life. Eventually, she gave up and she stopped struggling. Her mother closed the front door and Lila avoided eye contact with anyone as soon she was shoved into the car.

"You may not necessarily be locked up behind bars yet," the third policeman told her as he was driving them to the police station. "But don't think that you'll get away with anything: everyone will still be keeping a very sharp eye on you."

"Though personally, I think she should be," the first policeman muttered, folding his arms whilst gazing out of the window in deep thought.

Lila chose not to fight back with any threats after hearing that statement and she fidgeted with her fingers whilst the handcuffs were tight and digging into the skin of her wrists behind her back. The rest of the journey there was silent: no one dared to even utter a word, as the air was so heavy and tense. Remembering the look on her mother's face, Lila bit her lip to stop herself from crying, squeezed her eyes shut and bowed her head down to the floor in defeat until she was exhausted. Right now, there was only one more thought that could come to her head as she held it in her hands :

'I'll never forgive that witch for ruining my life like this.'

...

'I'll never forgive that witch for ruining my life like this.'

Ladybug felt an overwhelming amount of anger that Hawkmoth could sense. Cat Noir and others could see it by the way she violently stomped across the streets like a toddler who hadn't gotten any candy for a while. He tried to calm Ladybug down, but the stress was written very blatantly across her face. She massaged her forehead in hopes of letting her frustration out, but alas she could still feel the blood madly rushing to her brain. The other miraculous holders were wary of any akumas that could be heading in their direction, until the thought had somewhat passed and Ladybug had finally gained control of her hatred.

Holding her head in her hands, she murmured, "I'm so tired."

"We all are," Cat Noir smiled sadly. "Tired of Hawkmoth, tired of Lila... I bet that even Lila is tired with herself."

The police walking behind them were emotionless as they had to disregard their conversation. Like the other heroes, they were also watching out for akumas as if they were hawks keeping an eye out for their prey. They had guard up fiercely, forming up to defeat Paris' enemy like an army. Unlike them, the other heroes apart from Ryoku, Queen Bee and Viperion were obviously nervous with a vulnerable stance. A policeman called Ladybug saying that they had successfully arrested Lila. Hearing this news, Pegasus was quick to use his powers to get them to where they were. Max recharged Kaalki just to be safe, before transforming again and letting the others know that he was ready. Soon, they tackled the enormous gate standing before them and charged mercilessly into the mansion.

...

Mrs Rossi was scared for her life when the policemen broke into her house. Lila was just chilling in her room, abusing yet another one of Marinette's classmates.

"I'm sorry to scare you, but this was urgent," the policeman briefly apologied, but soon demanded, "Where is your daughter?"

She thought for a moment before telling them, "Oh, she's just in her room. I can get her if you'd like-"

"That is fine, we'll get her ourselves."

Before she knew it, her own daughter was taken away right before her eyes.

...

"I can't sense the negative emotions from her anymore!" Hawkmoth groaned, as Mayura stared at him with sympathy. "This was such a brilliant chance to akumatise Ladybug and get her miraculous."

"It was indeed," Mayura agreed solemnly. "Maybe Lila could help us again with her psychological talents."

Hawkmoth nodded, "I suppose we could give her a call."

Little did the supervillains knew, that call would be the worst decision they made.

...

Lila's mother was currently checking her daughter's phone. She noticed that Lila was rather protective of it and she never got to see exactly what she did on it. As a mother, something like that was worrying and she regretted not being more firm on her daughter. Somehow, she still wished she hadn't scrolled through the horrific messages her daughter sent and was highly suspicious of the 'top secret' contact number she had on her phone. Soon, her questions were answered and she reluctantly picked up the call from the mysterious number.

"Lila, this is urgent," Hawkmoth warned her seriously. "We almost managed to akumatise Ladybug, but most of the negative emotions had faded just before we could send the akuma to her. Remember, she is still upset and we need your psychological talents to help us achieve the two miraculous."

"Hawkmoth..."

The supervillain was taken aback by the voice that had reached him. Mayura had heard it too and was worried for what could possibly happen to them in the future. Both of them had panicked for a second, but soon reached their original state again and waited for the response of the number they were calling.

She pressed her lips together, before murmuring, "This is Lila's mother and my daughter has been arrested."

He exhaled sharply at the news, unsure of what to think. Mayura held onto him, surprised that one of them got caught by the police. Noticing their anxiety, Lila's mother hung up and her eyes widened in shock as she was now aware of the criminal activity her daughter had gotten involved in.

'Psychological talents...'

She shook her head and turned on some loud music, praying that it would get those two words out of her head.

...

"Pegasus, teleport the book of the miraculous back to my bedroom," Ladybug ordered. "It's important and we'll need it for the future."

"Understood," he did what he was asked to at once, before continuing to search around Gabriel's belongings.

Cat Noir had unlocked the passage to Hawkmoth's base for the policemen and a quarter of them went down along with Viperion, Ryoku, Queen Bee, Cat Noir and King Monkey. The other half stayed with Ladybug and Pegasus to search for anything else that happened to be suspicious. Once they were done, Ladybug and Pegasus joined the other superheroes whilst some of the police remained in the house. The rest of them went outside and guarded the house with Rena Rouge and Carapace, in case Hawkmoth and Mayura had somehow escaped.

...

"We need to get out of here immediately," Hawkmoth had stated the obvious, making Mayura roll her eyes slightly.

"Right," Mayura sighed. "I could make a sentimonster to distract them."

Hawkmoth nodded, "Please do, we can't afford to get arrested... not when I still haven't healed Emilie."

Doing this had taken a lot of her energy, but she had created a sentimonster so huge that it would most certainly take the heroes a long time to take it down. It was silly, but they were clinging onto the hope that the police would be distracted by it too so that they could escape.

"Let's go," Hawkmoth and Mayura ran out of the base, towards the entrance of their mansion.
