Albus is over this whole pandemic thing. Especially when he can't find any damn toilet paper. For some reason, people think that toilet paper with somehow protect them from getting sick. Newsflash! It won't! He's on his sixth store, and he just needs one package of toilet paper. Just one.
Yet all of the shelves are empty.
He doesn't feel so hopeful as he walks through the store, heading to the bathroom supplies section. It feels like a heavenly choir sings when he spots a single package of toilet paper. He rushes over to the section, but just as he gets there, someone takes the package.
Feeling stunned, he looks at the person who grabbed the package. It's a blond guy, who looks nice enough. Except Albus looks down to the other guy's cart and he feels livid.
The guy's cart is full of toilet paper packages. Albus can count at least packages, and they're packages of 24 rolls. That's way too much toilet paper for one person. Albus doesn't even have one package.
"Do you really need all of those?" Albus asks. Honestly, he doesn't even care if he sounds rude. He needs toilet paper, please.
The guy, for what it's worth, looks properly guilty. He looks down at his cart, and then looks back up to Albus, and says, "Yes. I'm sorry."
Albus scoffs. "You have more than enough packages. I just need one," he argues. He's five seconds away from just grabbing one out of the cart.
"They're not for me," the other guy says, which gives Albus pause. He keeps his mouth shut, in fear of sounding like more of a dick. "I'm donating them to a hospital, actually, so."
When Albus doesn't say anything else, the guy starts to walk away.
"Wait!" Albus calls after him, following him. "Let me pay for half of them."
