It was just an average day in Fairy Tail, except for the fact that five kids have went on a job without permission, but no one even noticed them gone (except Mirajane who okayed the job, but whatever).
Aside from that, though, things were... normal. At least by Fairy Tail's standards.
Gray and Natsu were fighting, Gray having no clothes, of course, while Erza was too engrossed in her strawberry cake to get involved with their fight. Cana was chugging down alcohol, per usual and Levy was eating. Gajeel's eating metal. Juvia is watching her beloved husband.
And then, the guild doors burst open, though hardly anyone noticed until someone in a black coat yelled out, "WHERE IS WENDY MARVELL'S DAUGHTER?!"
Everyone in Fairy Tail became so quiet, you could hear a pen drop. They glanced at the doorway to see five men, all hidden by either a cloak or a mask, so you couldn't tell who they were.
Romeo's breath caught in his throat, jumbled emotions feeling his very core. Wendy's daughter? What? Who? How? Why? Where?
Questions of the W's and the one H went on in his mind, wondering what these guys wanted —— with Wendy's supposed daughter. The girl he hasn't seen in almost eleven years. Anger, sadness and confusion were in his emotions all wrapped together, interchangeably.
All Romeo could picture was Wendy's innocent and sweet smile, that often caused Romeo to blush. But Wendy's gone, and out of the blue, these shady figures want her daughter he didn't even knew existed? Huh?
"We don't have a daughter of Wendy," Erza said, taking a bite of her strawberry cake, completely unfazed, even though on the inside she was kind of freaking out.
"Oh, is that so?" one of the men questioned, sending a blast in Erza's direction, but it didn't touched her...
...Although it did disintegrate her strawberry cake, leaving Erza gaping down at where her cake once was.
"Oh, he's dead," Gray muttered, Natsu nodding in agreement.
Erza stood up, fury in her eyes. "You dare——"
"Wait!" Romeo shouted. "What does he mean by Wendy's daughter?"
No one answered. Everyone just avoided looking into his eyes.
One of the men scanned the guild hall. "She's not even here! Are you hiding her from us?" he asked furiously. "You will pay if you don't hand over the little girl!"
"What do you want with that brat?" Gray questioned. "She's quite a nuisance, really, I'm saving you by not giving her to you."
"WAIT, WHAT!" Romeo gasped. Her daughter really is here?
"Where is she?" Lucy whispered into Erza's ear, suddenly realizing that she can't see Skylar anywhere. Erza merely shrugged in response, her gaze on the man responsible for the death of her strawberry cake.
"Who are they even talking about?" Gajeel asked his wife as he munched on some iron. Levy sighed, glancing at Gajeel questionably, unsure on what Wendy's daughter they were talking about.
"Well," one of the men said, "how do I know you're telling the truth?"
"Leave my guild at once!"
Laxus had stepped out of the office, his tall demeanor frightening and intimidating. He stepped forward, glaring at the men coming for Skylar, who they didn't even bother learning the name of.
When no one made an effort to leave, Laxus yelled, "LIGHTNING DRAGON ROOOOAR! sending all five of them flying out, to who knows where. Everyone with a Fairy Tail emblem just stared at him in either awe or shock.
"Guess the cat's out of the bag," Laxus said. "Yes, we do have Wendy's daughter. Now bring Skylar to me."
Skylar? Romeo scratched his head. She sounds familiar...
Levy stepped forward in a panic. "I can't find her!" she said.
"Nashi and Luke are gone too!" Lucy panicked.
"Come to think of it, so's Storm..." Gray said.
"Um, Reiki too..." Jellal says.
"Oh, yeah!" Mirajane jumped into the conversation. "They went on a job to defeat a murderer!"
Laxus groaned, while everyone else exclaimed, "WHAT?!"
