"Of course the heroes had already broken in by now," Hawkmoth seethed as he saw most of the superheroes and some of the police rushing in towards them. "At least we aren't facing everyone."
Mayura rolled her eyes, "I told you that we should've just broken the window, but naturally you were too afraid to do so."
"I care about my house and I don't think there's a problem with that," Hawkmoth responded to Mayura's remark. "Let's just hurry up and defeat these nuisances: we shouldn't worry about the miraculous when our top priority is to escape. After all, the sentimonster can take care of them."
"You didn't need to waste you're energy to tell me that, I already knew."
"Hawkmoth, Mayura!" Ladybug had suddenly caught their attention. "There's no way you can escape: there are police in every room of this building and I made sure that a couple of heroes kept an eye out for you outside in case you found an opening. They've already defeated the sentimonster and the amok is currently inside a bottle, so you may as well give up. No matter what plan you've come up with, we will always manage to corner you somehow."
Ryuko added, "We have also called martial arts and fencing experts in Paris to back us up, meaning that there are hundreds of people in our side at the moment. You are out numbered by too many and we'd all be very surprised if you still managed to fool us."
"You may as well just make your lives easier at this point and hand us your miraculous," Cat Noir demanded. "It doesn't matter what you wanted to use them for, because you wanted them for yourself and the crimes you committed to get them outweigh the good cause you may have had for them."
King Monkey nudged Ladybug and whispered, "I think that you should go and purify the amok now."
"I see," she nodded. "Thanks, I'll be going now."
"You don't know anything," Hawkmoth growled.
Cat Noir shook his head, "As a matter of fact, we know everything. From your identities to why you wanted to use the miraculous, we know every single detail."
The supervillain denied this information, "There's no way that you possibly could've found out: we hid ourselves so well!"
"I admit that you did do a pretty decent job at hiding yourselves, but we did still manage to find you either way in the end," Viperion smiled sadly.
"A girl from another dimension saw our troubles and offered to help us," Cat Noir explained. "Her name was Hana and she had a natural superpower, which allowed her to project moments from different dimensions in the form of episodes from a TV show. With that power, we found the identities of both you and ourselves."
Viperion gazed at the supervillains with sympathy, "I know that you wanted to heal your wife, Hawkmoth. However, doing so only brought more pain upon the other citizens of Paris and heartbreak within the one who has been by your side for this entire time."
Mayura let out a silent gasp as she heard Viperion's words and hissed, "Nothing you say will stop me from working with Hawkmoth, not even your little threats."
"Please Mayura, calm down-"
"I'm willing to follow him everywhere and remain behind him in every step of the path he chooses to take," she raged passionately, stomping forwards. "There's no way that I'm letting any of you stop us! Bring it on, let's see what you have all got."
Hawkmoth gaped at how his assistant had finally snapped after so long, "Mayura..."
"Nathalie..." Cat Noir's voice wavered, then he began to yell. "Father this is your fault: of this would've happened to her, if you had just moved on like everyone else!"
"Adrien," Mayura's eyes widened in shock.
Hawkmoth whispered, knowing that his son was now out of reach, "No, my son..."
"It's time to give them up, father," Cat Noir ordered, devoid of any more emotions.
His father looked down at the floor in shame, "I'm sorry Adrien, but I can't."
"You can't do everything, father!" he scolded, then cried in frustration. "All you want is more and more power and now you're so delusional, that you think that you can get away with healing mother like this without any consequences! Who are you? What have you done with my father? I don't understand you, I don't understand you at all!"
"Adrien-"
"And you," he pointed at Mayura. "You're even more delusional, blindly following him as if it were nothing whilst knowing all of those consequences! You're even worse than him, really. How betrayed did you think I felt, knowing who you were, let alone finding out that my father was the supervillain behind this whole mess that happened in the first place? I hate you, I hate both of you."
It was obvious how conflicted he was and everyone's heart broke at the sight of him arguing with himself. Many strikes were thrown before this moment and all anyone could do now was pause and watch the kitten slowly get insane. After a while, everyone had taken his feelings in. Viperion and Ryuko were trying to restrain him, without the cataclysm hitting them, whilst Hawkmoth and Mayura were whispering.
"Now is my chance," Hawkmoth bit his lip. "I should akumatise him while I can."
Dazed, Mayura agreed, "This may be our last hope in winning against them."
Reluctantly, he took control of the boy, "Chat Blanc, I am Hawkmoth. I will grant you with the ultimate power of destruction and all I ask for in return is Ladybug's and your miraculous."
Everyone blamed themselves for not noticing that he would choose to do this earlier and they stared at the man in horror. Somewhat regretful, he sent the butterfly out towards his son with his staff. However, it was too late when they had finally made their decision.
"Not a chance, Hawkmoth!" Ladybug chimed in, capturing the akuma. "It's time to de-evilize!"
Queen Bee cheekily smirked, "Finally, it took you long enough."
"We should run away while we can," Mayura suggested.
"Right."
It was a good choice, as everybody's guard was now down and they quickly ran away from those heroes. As soon as they arrived at the entrance, they took a second to breathe.
"It seems that Ladybug was bluffing: there is no one in here," Hawkmoth stated in relief.
Mayura squinted her eyes suspiciously, "We still need to hurry up: we can't get too comfortable here."
...
"Thank goodness you made it in time, Ladybug," Viperion let a harsh breath out, stressed from how long they'd been fighting.
She rubbed her neck with an apologetic look, "Sorry I took so long: I was telling the police to guard some rooms inside the mansion too."
"So you were bluffing," Ryuko stated bluntly. "Not a smart move, but it worked."
"Ugh, just be quicker next time," Queen Bee flicked her ponytail.
King Monkey gave the others a distraught gaze, "Um guys, where did Hawkmoth and Mayura go?"
"Oh no," Ladybug panicked, before sprinting off towards the entrance.
"That, wasn't a smart move," Cat Noir regained his consciousness, though he was still weak and lightheaded from being manipulated.
...
As soon as the two superheroes arrived at the entrance gate, they were surrounded by policemen, various martial artists, fencers, Rena Rouge, Carapace and Pegasus.
"Get here at once Ladybug," one of the policemen called her. "Both of them are here."
"Right," she replied. "We're almost there."
"Ladybug was bluffing, you said," Mayura ranted. "Ladybug was bluffing."
Hawkmoth resisted the urge to scream at her and muttered, "Just shut up and help me."
"That's what I've been doing for this whole time, in case you haven't noticed."
Seeing an opening, Rena Rouge shouted, "Mirage!"
Not hearing the shout, Hawkmoth and Mayura saw them disappear. They celebrated and ran towards their freedom. Taking this opportunity, Carapace shielded them so that they'd be unable to escape and Pegasus teleport all of the heroes as well as the policemen to where they were.
Ladybug furrowed her eyebrows, "Why are they celebrating?"
"I created an illusion."
"Ah, I see."
The martial artists quickly restrained them whilst the fencers recovered from distracting them and the policemen eventually managed to get them into their car. Carapace took the shield down, but Rena Rouge was still keeping he illusion up. Queen Bee had also paralysed the villains, just to be safe.
"Let us know when you have put them in prison, so I can heal everyone," Ladybug ordered, needing to use her miraculous ladybugs to fix any damage.
The policemen nodded, "Of course, Ladybug."
"Thank you all for helping us out," she told them gratefully. "We wouldn't have been able to do this without you."
"We are always willing to help you out when necessary," the martial artists and fencers smiled at the heroes before leaving.
After the policemen drove off, Ladybug turned to the other heroes, "Thanks for agreeing to help us out Rena Rouge, Carapace, Pegasus and King Monkey."
"It seriously would've been impossible without you guys," Viperion thanked them sincerely.
"I guess that we should probably go now," King Monkey sent a look to Pegasus, Rena Rouge and Carapace. "Thanks for trusting us."
"Wait," Cat Noir surprised them. "I think it would be better if we spent time with each other outside of our masks, right M'lady?"
She pressed her lips together, "Right. I'm not quite sure if I'm ready yet, but I think that starting over would be good for us now."
"Are you sure?" Rena Rouge asked hesitantly. "We don't want to make you feel uncomfortable and I know that you especially aren't uncomfortable with me."
"This doesn't mean that I fully forgive you, Alya," Ladybug reminded her. "But I think that I'd like to."
"If that's okay..."
Ignoring her, Ladybug faced the others, "Let's start by stopping at my place: I need to put these miraculous somewhere."
Cat Noir took the chance to joke, "Yeah we don't want anyone else taking these, that's for sure."
Ladybug received a call, which she took, "Hello?"
The police responded, "The supervillains are now locked up in jail, with high security and supervision."
"Thanks again."
"No worries," they hung up, carrying on with the rest of their duties.
"Miraculous ladybug!"
It was relieving to see the ladybugs fix the mansion, even if it was Hawkmoth's base. Everyone's injuries were also fixed and no one was feeling as tired anymore. She placed the moth and the peacock miraculouses in their correct place and carefully locked the miraculous box up. However, they all knew that there was another battle that they would have to face: the press.
...
"Marinette Dupain Cheng, where on Earth have you been!" Sabine shrieked, finding her daughter in her room with the other superheroes.
"Mum..." Ladybug grinned tiredly. "We defeated Hawkmoth."
Her anger melted into slight worry, but mostly relief as she hugged her daughter, "Oh honey... Tom, hurry up: Hawkmoth has been defeated!"
"Wait, what?" He responded with shock. "I'm coming, I'm coming: I need to see my daughter!"
"Hey, dad."
"You all must be exhausted," Tom gazed at the children. "No need to worry: super baker dad is here to bake some pastries in a flash!"
"Tom, wait for me!" Sabine rushed downstairs after him, causing the heroes to sweatdrop before they de transformed and fed their kwamis.
"Dude, you sure do have exciting parents..." Nino commented. "They're awesome dude, I love them!
Kagami petted Long, "They never fail to bring a smile up on one's face."
"Exactly, dude!"
Shortly after he said that, Sabine came up again, "By the way Adrien, you're free to stay here if you wish to: we have a guest bedroom where you can sleep."
"I..."
"You don't need to feel guilty Adrien, you're welcome here," Sabine smiled.
After another moment of hesitation, Adrien looked at her with gratitude, "Thanks, Sabine."
"It's no problem at all, Adrien," she reassured him before heading back down to the bakery.
"We can't rely on Hana anymore," Marinette decided the bring up the dreaded topic. "I think that it's time for me to give the rabbit miraculous to Alix."
"That would be smart," Luka agreed. "None of us know when a new supervillain will arrive, so its best to stay as safe as possible."
"I'll call her," Marinette clumsily fiddled around with her phone before finally clicking on the right button. "Alix?"
"Hey Marinette, what's up?"
"I need you to come to my house, asap," Marinette ordered seriously. "I want to give you the rabbit miraculous, since we've already defeated Hawkmoth: we think that it'll be a good idea for you to keep an eye on the future and to let us know if there's any danger."
"Right, I'll be there."
Max offered, "I could teleport her here?"
"If it's not too much trouble, then that would be great."
"Alix," Marinette stared at her. "Here is the rabbit miraculous."
"Thank you," Alix put it on. "I'll do my best to help you."
"I know you will."
In attempt to start a new conversation, Alix asked, "So... you defeated Hawkmoth?"
