So I've written and re-written this chapter so much it is completely different from the first draught
Hope you enjoy it x
Grace wasn't sure she knew what to do with herself. It had been a week after the shoot-out in town and with the visible wound on her leg, Grace had been demanded into bed rest by Rick and Hershel, as to not draw attention to her... extra abilities. Although most of the camp knew, there were those that were still in the dark about the supernatural world. Some of those people, they were determined to keep in the dark. They were too irrational, too unpredictable.
So, Grace had decided that with a full week to rest she would spend it with her mate, taking full advantage of the time alone to get back into full connection with one another. And although Grace and Liam had little contact throughout the week, they still picked up on little snippets of conversations and plans. Like the fact that Beth is still in a depressive state. Merle is getting restless sitting in one place to long with no Drugs in his system. Rolling away from the exhausted werewolf, Grace lies back in their tent looking to the fabric roof.
"I was thinking of maybe going to one of the nearby towns today, maybe take Merle with me before he cracks and gets himself locked in the barn"
"Would you listen if I said I didn't want you to go?"
"Not really" The blonde smiles as she leans up on her elbow, her palm to her cheek. "Why don't you come with us?"
"Hold on, you're inviting me this time and not just going off on your own and letting me find out three hours later from someone else"
"That has been kind of shitty of me" Grace looks down in shame "I guess I've just been feeling a little free, no rules, no law and no Scott and Stiles deciding my every move and thought"
"It's only natural to feel like that. I guess I've just missed being with you all the time"
"Then come with me, let's be a team again and fight the bad guys again. You and I"
"We really doing this?" Liam asks, laying on his back in the middle of the tent with Grace propped up on her arm but snuggled right into his side.
"Let's go find Merle" Grace smiles, getting up. They slip on their slightly dirty clothes clothes. Heading out the tent they search around Hand in hand for the eldest Dixon. Coming up unlucky for finding the man. Grace comes to her last resort of locating him.
"MERLE! MERLE, WHERE ARE YOU?"
"What do you want McCall?" Merles gruff voice echoes from the edge of the woods.
"Liam and I are heading out, you comin'"
"Whoa wait, you can't leave" Lori interrupts, coming up to us.
"Lori, we need supplies, we're running out of things and besides it not like anyone here can stop me"
"Aren't you supposed to be grounded" Andrea walks up and buts in
"What are you my mother?" Grace glares crossing her arms over her chest and looking to the older blonde.
"No but we are the only parental figures you've got right now"
"If you're my parental figure, I might as well put a noose around my neck. I mean that's basically what you did with Beth wasn't it" Grace smirks to the shocked woman and the gasps around her as the rest of the camp crowd around the growing group.
"Grace, Its dangerous out there" Glenn steps forward.
"It's dangerous to just be breathing right now, chill I can take care of myself" I wink to him and grab onto Merle's arm. "Come on slow pork"
"Since when'd I start lettin' some high school cheerleadin' princess boss me aroun'?"
"Y' gonna keep yappin' or are ya gonna move ya ass?" Grace questions, the evidence of her time spent with the redneck seeping out with her words as she mimics his speech.
"I don't like you" Merle huffs and everyone around can see through the blatant lie.
"Post it on my facebook page, now come on lets go!" Grace whines as she pushes him in front of her and follows behind with Liam next to her.
Heading to Grace's car, Merle turns on Grace with a glare. "You gonna let me get my gun Sweetheart or am we gonna go to the nearest stop n' shop on this little adventure of yours"
"Don't worry big guy, I'll protect you" she pats his chest and smiles up at his as he looks down to her with no emotion on his face but Grace can see the smile of amusement in his eyes. "You have 5 minutes or I'm leaving to heard the cattle" she continues, then with a pony tail swish she turns her back on the group and heads back over to her tent.
"You know he's going to deliberately take longer and make us wait for him right?" Liam asks as he catches up to her side, his hand slipping into hers.
"I know" she smiles as the two slip back into their tent gathering their weapons for obvious show and collecting their back packs. "Got my bat?"
"Yep"
"Don't loose it this time" Grace's glares at her mate.
"promise. Is two back packs going to be enough? I mean we really need more supplies, especially the medical stuff Hershel used all he could on Randall"
"Rick refused to let me anywhere near him. I mean we are wasting supplies on him like that. 5 minutes and he'd be as good as new"
"And now that Rick and Shane are dropping him out, say he somehow finds his way back to his group or a different one and he tells them of the pretty little blonde that can heal the injured. It turns into a man hunt not just putting us in danger but everyone else in this group. Sophia, Carl, Lori's baby, Beth. They're not ready for this world. None of these people are. But you and I, we had to be"
"If worst comes to worst. I have to be the front line and I don't want you to try and stop me. Promise me"
"I promise that I will be out their right next to you" He says pulling her into his arms and smashing his lips to hers in a heated kiss.
Pulling away with a dazed mind, Grace struggles to form a sentence "uh. Merle...wait... go"
"Should I be worried you're thinking of Merle after that" Liam smirks at ability to still make his mate speechless.
"Shut up" Grace blushes, avoiding eye contact with Liam as she swoops down and collects the bags from the floor and swings them over her shoulder. "We should go" she whispers slipping her car keys into the pockets of her shorts and exiting the tent with a chuckling Liam behind her.
"Cute" Lam whispers and follows after the blonde with the girls whip and baseball bat in his hands.
"McCall! Dumbass! The hell you two doin'? it's been 10 minutes" Merle whines as the two come into view.
"And who long have you been here?" Grace asks with an unraised eyebrow, although she attempts it.
"Stop yappin' and get in the car, ya always burnin' daylight"
Rolling her eyes, Grace ignores Merle and moves towards the trunk of the car, opening it high and dropping the bags and weapons inside, Grace closes the hood again and looks up to the brunette woman standing of to the side.
"We'll wait in the car" Liam offers noticing Lori standing there looking incredibly nervous. "Lets go Merle" He moves away, taking the baseball bat with him and shoving Merle into the back before sliding into the front passenger seat and closing the door quickly to give the two a little privacy.
"You don't have to be worried about us"
"Last time you went out, you came back with a bullet in your leg" She replies, looking down to the white bandage wrapped around her thigh.
"I'm fine. It isn't my first time being shot, probably not the last. And it's all healed now. The bandage is just for show" She smiles, slapping the place where the once was.
"We'll be fine" Grace assures her. Lori attempts to answer but her words are drowned out by the wail of a car horn. The noise lasts at least 5 seconds and Grace sends a glare to the inside where Merle can be seen leaning through the front seats with a glare. "I'm gonna go before he blows and gasket"
"Are you sure its a good idea to take him?" Lori asks as she follows Grace to the drivers side.
"Maybe I'll just leave him in the car when we get there"
"Remember to crack the window open" She replies with a small chuckle as the girl opens the door.
"Will do" Grace smiles back, eyes shining bright as she closes the door and starts the car, waiting for Lori to move away. Looking to the back seat, grace sets her attention on the Redneck huffing with his arms crossed over his chest. "What's your problem Sweetheart?". He ignores her and continues to stare out of the window like a child. Grace watches him in her rear view mirror waiting for an answer that never comes. "You seriously not going to answer me? Merle?"
"He's just grumpy, kept mumbling that your burning daylight"
"That lines getting old" Grace replies as she focuses driving the car as she continues being ignored by the man-child in the back seat.
From the passenger seat Liam reaches over and places his hand on her knee as the girl continues to drive to their destination. They drive for hours, struggling through abandoned traffic and continuously slowing down for Merle to roll down the back window, lean out with Grace's baseball bat and play whack a mole with every stumbling walker in the middle of the road. Grace and Liam don't mind it, finding the small joy in the actions. They were hesitant at first at the brutality of the game, but with the Apocalypse and the understanding at the walkers did much worse to us than what we do to them. It was okay to enjoy the little things.
"Merle, on the left" Liam comments as a heavy set walker comes out of the woods.
"My, my you're a big fella" Merle yells as he leans out of the window with the baseball bat in his hands and swings as they come up to the groaning monster. A sickening crack echoes though the air and Merle slips back into the car with a whoo and a chuckle wiping the blood off the bat with an old rag. "And down goes Kong"
Grace laughs along with Merle and Liam, taking her eyes of the road for a second as she turns a corner and hits something that with the speed and not keeping full attention, the object rolls over the top of the car and hits the ground behind them. The car comes to a screeching halt and all three turn around and look out of the back window.
"Please say that was a walker" Grace worries as she tries to see out the window. Turning from looking out of the back window, Merle turns back to the front to see the two supernatural's looking back behind him and not paying attention to what's in front of them.
"T'bad ya didn't get the rest of them" Merle pipes up as he stares past the two and out of the front window.
Before Liam and Grace turn back to the front, a look passes between them and slowly they both settle back into their seats as the banging on the car begins and the dead crowd them. A walker slams its hands against the window on Liam's side making the glass shake.
"Now'd be a good time for you to get us out'a here Princess"
"Gladly" Grace replies just as a walker pushes its torn face to the window beside her and attempted to gnaw at her from the outside. "Ew"
"Grace!"
"Going, Going" Grace replies to her mate as she shifts gear and tries to reverse but all that happens is the wheels spin in place. "Shit! We're stuck"
"keep tryin'. Dumbass start shootin" Merle huffs pulling his gun from his belt and sticking it out of the cracked open window and pulling the trigger, killing the walker.
"I don't have a gun" Liam panics.
"Switch with me" Grace offers, taking her belt off she unlocks Liam's and climbs over the middle console and crouches over Liam, her back squished against the car door as the walkers slam into the glass. "Come on baby" Grace urges and Liam crawls into the drivers seat and begins to try to get them out of the situation.
Following Merle's lead, Grace cracks the window open a little and creates the little firefly like balls and lets them fly, slamming into a hand full of walkers but not enough to thin the growing cluster.
"We're not getting anywhere" Liam huffs.
"We're gonna have to push them back. Take them out"
"Ladies first" Merle offers and Grace rolls her eyes.
"What's your plan here G?"
"Remember The Berserker in the hospital?"
"Yeah you... oh, yeah. That's a good idea"
"What's a good idea?" Merle panics at the cryptic conversation held between the two teens. "Oi. What ya doing?" He continues as he watches Grace lays back, her head near Liam's lap, her feet laying against the car passenger door.
"Get ready to roll the window down" Grace instructs her mate as she holds her hands out in front of her. The middle console digging into her back as she stays leaning back. "Merle, get down. This is going to get a little hot" Grace calls, her voice growing louder with each word. Keeping her hands out; they begin to glow bright, with fire engulfing her hands and burning bright in the warming car, the flames grow larger and larger until a soccer ball sized flame floats before her hands. "Liam now!" Grace calls as the car begins to shake with the force of the walkers pushing on all sides.
The window rolls down seconds later and two walkers push an arm each through the hole, blocked by each other. One of the walkers reach down and grabs onto Grace's boot, pulling her foot closer to him.
"Grace!" Liam panics as the walker begins dragging the girl out of the window as she struggles for push back.
The fireball hits the walker square in the chest, pushing it backwards and into the others, sending them to the ground and lighting them up.
"Merle!" Grace yells and opens the door with her baseball bat in her hand, slamming it into the closest walkers head. She makes her way to the trunk of the car and pops it open, grabbing the extra weapons out of the back. Throwing another ball of fire to the walkers surrounding Liam's side of the car. She throws the door open once it's clear and hands Liam an axe.
"Merle, stop shooting its drawing more to us" Liam growls, seeing the more dead in the distance heading straight to them due to the loud banging of Merle's gunshots.
"Merle here!" Grace calls to the man now using his gun as a club to kill the walkers. She jumps onto the hood of the car and kicks a walker in the jaw, sending it to the ground. She then passes her bat off to the man and takes the hunting knife off of her belt and gets to work with that.
"Dumbass, switch" The Redneck demands, pulling the axe from Liam's grip and handing over the trusty bat, knowing the werewolf will have better luck with it in taking down the dead.
"This is getting ridiculous" Grace huffs, pulling a walker forward and stabbing it in the top of the head. She then kicks it away, making it stumble back into others. With a roll of her eyes, Grace uses her powers and takes out as many of the walkers she can surrounding them.
"McCall, cover us" Merle demands as if its not what the girl is already doing. Never the less, Grace does as asked and covers the two as they start pushing on the back of the car. She climbs onto the roof of the car and keeps shooting fire at the dead.
As the last walker around them drops dead, the car jerks forward and Grace stumbles at the harshness of the movement and falls off the car, landing on a pile of dead walkers. She groans at the smell of rotten flesh then infiltrates her senses and squeezes her eyes shut at the harshness of the Georgia sun that gleams in her eyes "You okay?" A hand appears in front of her face and a body stands over her, blocking the shine of the light.
"Yeah, this lot were nice enough to cushion my fall" She replies, reaching forward and grasping his hand in a tight grip.
"How nice of them" Liam smiles a charming wolfish grin; lifting the Phoenix to her feet, pulling her close and leaning in to her, placing his hand on her chin, he tips her head up and leans in. For a split second she think he's going to kiss her, which he does just not on her lips. The kiss comes to the tip of her nose. A quick peck that leaves a little moisture around the edges. "You have walker blood in your hair" he pulls away and twirls a strand of her long locks.
"I love you" Grace smiles up at him with a wide grin on her face.
"I know" Liam smirks knowing she'll love the line.
"Oh god, I miss it so much" she chuckles at the cheesiness.
"I'm guessing, by the shirt" Liam gestures to the black cropped top with the large words printed on the front in white.
"Just clean my hair "Grace digs him in the stomach with the tips of her fingers.
"We gonna go before this lot reach us?" Merle's annoying voice kills the lovers mood. They look over to him to see he's now leaning against the closed trunk of the car with a cigarette between his lips.
"Those will kill you" Grace chastises.
"As opposed to them assholes" he turns and points to the approaching dead.
"Point taken" the girl nods "although you are the reason they are coming for us"
"you're the one that can't drive" Merle fires back.
"Bite me, Dixon" Grace laughs.
"Nar, I'll leave that for your were-wolf" Merle chuckles along and moves away from the trunk and to the driver's seat of the car.
Not arguing, Grace grabs onto Liam and drags him to the back door. Climbing inside first, she takes the bloody baseball bat and drops it on the floor, then shuffles along allowing Liam to sit beside her.
Seeing the to climb in together, Merle glares through the rear view mirror. "Oi, this ain't drivin' miss Daisy. you two just keep ya hands to y'selves, don't want ya two doin' it like dogs back there"
"I'm starting to regret bringing him along" Liam growls his eyes flashing in anger at the mention of he and his mates personal life.
"Relax" Grace places her hand on Liam's knee, then pushes forward, leaning the top half of her body through the space between the two front seats. "stop being an ass" she rolls her eyes at the driver and reaches out to the glove box. Opening it, she then pulls out a plastic wrapped packet of make-up wipes. Settling into her seat next to Liam, Grace hands over the bag of wipes and shuffles in her seat so that her back is to her mate.
Chuckling, Liam takes a wipe out of the packet and throws the rest to the side, he then proceeds to gently pass the wipe through her beautiful blonde hair, cleaning the disgusting rotting blood and guts away until everything is nice and shiny again.
"There, all clean" Liam smile, leaning forward and kissing the girls' neck.
"Umm" Grace curls at the feeling and leans back into Liam body. The inside of the car begins to heat up and neither Grace nor Liam know if it's just the Phoenix's magic or if it's the two of them that begin steaming the window's.
"Oi! Knock it off back there"
Ignoring the man in the driver's seat, Liam pokes the girl in front of him in the back of the shoulder. "Gimme the bat" he instructs the girl who reaches forward and plucks it up from the floor, crinkling her face at all the blood and flesh she hands it over to him. Grace sits back and watches as Liam takes the make-up wipe and passes it over the surface of the bat, removing it of any impurities. Once he finishes, he takes the reddened wipe and tosses it out of the window.
"Thanks" Grace smiles as he hands the now clean bat back over to her. Leaning back, Grace runs her fingers over the engraved words. Her bright smile falling slightly
"They're fine" Liam assures her as he grabs her waist and pulls her into his side, grabbing her legs and placing them over his lap.
"And so are we" Grace hums as she, leans further into Liam's side. Closing her eyes, she focuses on the sound of his heart beat that seems to be perfectly in time with her own. Snuggling in tighter than possible she falls to sleep and misses everything in the coming conversation between the other two.
"S' what's the deal, with this brother of hers"
"Scott, what a him?" Liam asks, refusing to move even a slight inch as to not wake the sleeping girl in his arms.
"He really all that great?"
"He's the alpha" Liam avoids looking at the man and keeps his gaze on the buildings they pass at an alarming speed.
"So you really have all that. He's the alpha, y'd be the beta"
"Exactly"
"How'd that all happen? You becomin' his beta, bein' with 'er?"
"Scott saved my life. I didn't really... accept it for a while. I hated him... a lot. I believed he ruined my life. If it wasn't for Grace, I don't think I would off accepted it as easy as I did. Even though it wasn't really that easy to begin with"
"She helped that much?"
"Grace McCall is the light at the end of my tunnel. She's the only person that can calm me down in a second with a single breath"
"Don't that jus' make ya weak?"
"No, it makes me human"
"Is that what you are. Human?"
"I used to be"
"What about that kid... the one with the weird name... Biles or whatever"
"You mean Stiles" Liam smiles at the familiar mistake of the boy's name.
"What's he, vampire?"
"Human" Liam lets out a breathy laugh at the ridiculousness of the though of stile being anything but he's weird little human self... although he remembers the stories Grace had told him of Stiles' dark times. He shivers at the thought glad that he wasn't there for that.
2,500 miles away
Beacon Hills High School
"Come on, come on, come on, come on, let's go! let's go!" Scott McCall yells in panic, pushing the people with him to the front in an assurance to keep them all alive "Stiles!" he calls, seeing his best friend fall back to help a fallen lady.
"Not good" Stiles groans, seeing the dead stumble around the corner. With a little whine, he pulls the woman up and pushes her behind him as they both step back in horror.
"Stiles, RUN!" Scott roars over all the panicked screams and dead man moans. The voracious howl shakes the lockers, forcing them open and spilling the contents onto the hallway floor.
"Yep" Stiles snaps out, moving back as the dead advance, he grabs onto the woman's arm in a tight grip and pushes her ahead of him as they make their way into the library with Scott just behind them, slamming the doors shut and leaning his back against it as the dead hit the over side and push back.
"Malia, Argent!" Scott yells over the panicked cries as everyone huddles around holding onto one another. With the help of a few others, the two grabs onto book shelves and pile them against the door. "Think it will hold?" Scott asks, stepping away from the work and moving to next to Stiles.
"Oh yeah, until they all finally get in and start tearing the flesh from our bones"
"Stiles!"
"What? You asked"
"Okay, we need to make a plan fast, that barricade isn't going to last much longer". Chris Argent interrupts them. An FN P-60 machine gun strapped over his body. "If we get out of here, we can get to my bunker. We need all of those weapons"
"Yeah, brilliant idea. Except you have a tun of weapons, I mean, Knives, Swords, staffs, hand guns, Machine guns, Grenades, Grenade launchers, throwing knives, throwing stars"
"Stiles" Scott cuts the spastic boy. "Your point"
"My point, is where the hell do you suppose we put an arsenal? It's not like we own a truck. Plus, we need room to fit everyone here" A loud bang makes the awkward boy let out a reach and their attention turns to the barricade as is shifts and shakes.
"Okay, we need to go" Sheriff Stilinski appears from the side. "where's the emergency exit?"
"It's useless, it just leads right out to the front of the school"
"Which has even more of those assholes out there" Malia growls, her eyes glowing as she and a few others lean against the barricade, holding it in place.
"what about the window, it leads to the Lacrosse field" Sydney, A class member reminds them.
"Which is where the school buses are parked" Scott realises, sharing a mischievous look with Stiles. "Sheriff get everyone ready. We're gonna check out the field"
Nodding, Sheriff Stilinski moves away and steps up onto one of the chairs. "Okay, everyone listen up! Grab what you can, we've got to go and we have to go now."
As the Sheriff is getting the people ready with the help of Malia, who snaps and curses at people who she believes are taking too long. Scott, Stiles and Argent make their way up the small set of stairs and peer out of the large panes of completely sealed glass.
"We're gonna have to smash our way out" Argent informs the boys.
"It's gonna draw a lot of attention" Scott sighs.
"Doesn't look like there are very many out there" Stiles breathes, peering over Scott's shoulder.
"6... That I can see"
"What about what you can hear?" Argent asks, his gaze shifting to the teen wolf.
"It sounds like the entire town is out there"
"We're gonna have to move fast and at once, we won't have a second chance at this"
"Okay, Malia, Parrish and I will go to first, we'll take the 6. Get everyone else out next. You and the Sheriff come last, make sure everyone is out, keep Mason and Corey with you"
"Scott" His name is called. The teen turns around and stands up from his crouch as his eyes shift over everyone's behind him "We're ready" Malia nods, knowing the plan. Quickly going over the plan again for everyone else, he saw the hesitant look and sighed.
"Look, I get it. This plan sucks, but it's all we've got in such the little time we have. You're scared, I am too. We all are. The world has changed faster than any of us believed it could. Its darker. But we don't have the time right now for a better plan, the dead are at the door. And it's not going to hold much longer" He turns away once he sees the accepting nods and looks to Argent an Parrish as the two come up with the Sheriff, Mason and Corey. "Okay lets door this" Scott nods to Argent, who pulls a Grenade out of his pocket, gaining a bewildered look from Stiles.
"Are you kidding me right now? You just carry that around in your pocket like a cell phone?" the teen asks as he gets pulled away by Scott and Malia. "He just carries it around like it's nothing and no one's going to question it?" Stiles continues as he is pulled to the side.
"Everyone, get down" Chris Argent warns as he, walks down the steps and pulls the pin from the grenade, holding the clip in place. Within the same second, he releases the grenade, rolling it towards the window and diving behind the book case next to Scott and Stiles, who grab onto him and hold him away of the blast that shakes the walls. Ears ring as dust and smoke fills the air, people cough as the dirt dries their throats.
"Malia, Parrish. Stiles, stay next to me" Scott calls wanting to keep his best friend close and safe. He picks up is back-pack and slings it on his back, rushing up to the now destroyed window. The three jump out and make their way to the 6 walkers ahead. The others follow quickly, Mason and Corey jumping out the window first and staying to the sides, helping the woman and children down and guiding them to follow Scott and the others.
"We're going to have to move fast" Argent grumbles to the Sheriff as they stand facing waiting until the last person leaves.
"Yeah" Noah Stilinski agrees as the doors as shelves shake and begin shifting as the dead begin to gain the advantage. "Come on, come on" He pushes people behind him as the doors begin to crack open the snarls grow louder.
Just as the last person; before the two exits through the window, the door to the library widens and the first of the dead push through. Argent and Stilinski raise their guns and begin taking head shots as they back up to the windows.
"Go! Go!" Argent directs, stepping in front of the other man, who dives out of the window and turns back shooting at the dead inside.
"ARGENT!" Stilinski yells over the gun shots as the man in front of him seems to be determined to take down every one of the dead in front of him. The man snaps out of his rage and rushes to the window where Mason, Corey and Stilinski wait. Cory and Mason grab onto Argents arms to get him down faster as Stilinski fires at the horde inside.
"Come on" Mason panics, grabbing onto the sheriff's shoulder and dragging him back as the dead start crashing through the hole. The four turn and run after the rest of the survivors, attempting to stay far ahead of the dead.
"Move, move" Scott leads as they pass the fence next to the Lacrosse field. The buses are parked to the side completely blocked by the 10ft fence, the only exit, a gap between two sides. Big enough to fit two people through at a time. They almost make it to the opening without a hiccup but as luck has it, they don't have any. Scott takes a single look back at everyone behind him. Getting a chance to see the four at the back catching up. He is also able to get a look of the dead shuffling after them with more crashing out of the window following. That one look leaves him with his guard down and runs straight into a walker. He's 5' 11" compared to Scott's 5' 9" and he's a heavy-set guy, 250 maybe, dresses in his pyjama's.
The dead man's hands latch onto Scott's jacket, its nails clawing at the jean jacket. It tugs him forward and chomps its rotted mouth near his neck. The people behind scream and move away. None of them really having to deal with the dead yet. They'd had the pack since the whole thing started and the school was set up as a safe zone. Safe zone. No one should ever call beacon Hills High School as a safe place. And Stiles Voiced that. He'd voiced it many times.
A Scott struggles against a female voice yells out "Duck" Scott doesn't think about it for another second and dips his head low holding the walker back with his werewolf strength as the blade of a sword slices through the top of the dead man's head, cutting the brain in two. "You okay?" The same voice asks and it's in the moment that the body hits the floor that Scott realises he knows this person.
"Kira?" The teen wolf asks, looking up from the now permanently dead man and to his ex-girlfriend who stands there. Her Face covered in red and white warrior paint and her katana at her side, stained with blood. Before the girl can say anything else another voice calls from behind her as two more people appear.
"Kira, we must go now" Noshiko Yukimura pushes with her husband at her side. Her eyes aren't on any of them but at the growing horde advancing their way.
"Okay, let's go" Stiles pats Scott's shoulder and follows the family to the buses leading the survivors as Scott waits back for Argent, Stilinski, Mason and Corey.
"Well this is going to be weird" Malia walks up to his side as people shuffle past them.
"What is?" he acts dumb
"Kira coming back when we are about to go on a mission to find your little sister, Beta and love of your life"
"Allison is not the love of my life" he denies.
"Yes, she is. I'm worried. We all seem to be spread out."
"Lydia"
"I haven't seen her since the day this thing hit the whole town." Malia huffs, not liking that her friend is missing.
"We also haven't seen the Jeep in the same amount of time. We looked everywhere we could think she would possibly go"
"you really think she'd take the Jeep?"
"It's not like anyone else will" Scott ends the conversation as the final four come up to them.
"Let's get out of here" Argent insists pointing with his now empty gun.
They head to the closest bus, that just so happens to have Stiles in the driver's seat. "Kira's parents are in one bus; her dad is driving and Parrish has another. I told them to follow. We still heading to your bunker?" He asks as Argent takes the seat behind the drivers with Scott.
"Yeah" His one-word answer is all Stiles needs. A scream is emitted from the back of the bus and every one turns to the woman fearing the worst. But when they look in her direction, they see she is staring out of the window. Her hands over her mouth and her eyes wide filled with tears.
They all look out of the window, or the open door in Stiles' case and remember the horde of dead that were following them. Only due to the fact that they were 10 ft away and there were a lot more of them.
"YA!" Stiles screams in fright and pulls on the lever. Slamming the door shut just as the dead old lady in her night gown slams against the glass.
"My bad" Stiles holds his hand up and in an apology to the people in the back.
"Stiles, drive" his father shakes his head and sits back as the boy starts the bus.
"I miss my baby" The spastic boy grumbles as he drives one of the three school buses away from the school. "BT-DUB. We should have blown up the school years ago"
"We didn't blow it up now" Scott replies confused.
"That's our fault. Place is evil" He spits back as he drives the rest of the way to the Argent bunker.
People sleep silently in the back as other's silently chat in respect of the others. Those that are in a deep enough sleep don't even wake to the rocking of the bus as Stiles Clips walkers stumbling out onto the road. not even bothering an attempt to swerve the dead. As they finally drive out to the bunker Stiles mouth drops open, confusing those around him who had been listening to the teen mumble.
"Stiles?" His father asks in confusion.
"What the...That's my car! That's my Jeep" He grumbles and parks the bus next to the Jeep. He's out of the door first, not caring about the fact that there are dead people now walking around in the world. Scoot, Malia and Kira follow close behind as the other two buses pull up beside theirs. Stiles puts his face to the driver's side window and looks all around. "It's empty" He calls to everyone else who begin piling out of the Buses.
"Let's head inside" Argent directs, turning towards the heavy metal door, Pulling out a series of keys. Just as he is about to slide a key into a lock, the door creeks and groans before being pushed open from the inside.
"What took you guys so long? I've been here for weeks" The Strawberry blonde complains, her smile brightening as she finally sees her friends again.
"You've been here all alone for weeks?" Stilinski asks as the all follow her into the bunkers, leaving two surviving Officers posted at the door in case they get any unwanted visitors.
"Of course not" Lydia replies disgusted at the thought of being completely alone. They make their way into the main room where a lot of the weapons are kept and notice Natalie Martin and Peter Hale stand waiting for them to join them.
"Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to show up" Peter grumbles with his arms crossed over his chest. "Why, hello daughter" He smiles to Malia who growls back.
