"Wait, Catalina! It is alright! We just came to visit the Cullen Clan's newbie." proclaimed a lovely Caucasian lady with blue ombre hair.

This woman's gaze was soft and caring, yet she still intimidated me with her rich, blood-red eyes and their enlarged almond shape. Her dress was thin, had a hood, and was light blue. A moon was cut out in the back. Wood shoes that were large and round but inside, stuffed with furry fluff for comfort. How witchy, the good kind. Could she be a Viper, or was I just stereotyping some kind of antagonist because of her eye color? I relaxed, thinking that it would be rude to make assumptions. The eyes of this woman were not matched by her light and peachy cuteness. Her soft voice heavily pumped my heart as if I just found an adorable kitten. If the Cullens had brought her, I should at least have trusted her not to kill me.

Her plump lips opened, and she released a cute sounding voice again, "I'm Verdandi, and they're my best friends. We come from Iceland. The girls and I looked forward to seeing who was the new ally," she cheerfully explained. Her wide, gorgeous smile appeared brighter than the light bulbs.

I smiled, though my brows furrowed a little.

Ozario stood at my side.

I jumped. Well! I gotta get used to him, too!

"Hey, Cati. It's alright. They are the visitors we've mentioned before." Ozario shared with me.

Oh! That's right... Cool... I nervously thought while nodding at him.

Onyx nudged my back forward to stand closer to this Verdandi chick. My eyes felt stretched, so I tried to narrow them and hide my fear of her. "Uh... Sup," I managed to choke out.

Verdandi smiled and grabbed my hand to shake it. "She is such a charming human girl! I guess, you know about the temperature of our cold bodies, huh? Fortunately, I have nothing here to hide. Catalina Yong it's a pleasure to meet you for the first time," she happily stated!

"Show some respect, Verdandi!" Scolded another girl with purple ombre hair. She had sexy and bold eyes. Her skin was deep, dark bronze. Her dress was smilar, but purple and more luxurous. Jewels covered her, and she wore glittering purple heels. Randomly, she bowed before me."Miss Yong, it is such an honor meeting you. I am Urdur, a part of The Diviner Coven. Any assistants that you might request, we shall give, Milady."

Milady? Confused, I dazed at the top of Urdur's head. Why did she call me "Milady?" I was incapable of being a lady. So, I knew I wasn't good enough to be known as "Milady." I didn't have any qualifications to be one. I was trying to come up with alternatives, something like a... bumpkin! Urdur stood up. Her stance was elegant, and she had a big smile. Before I corrected her, I felt a slight brush of wind hit my left side, not where Onyx stood.

I faced a ghostly figure who stared back at me with big, bold, and smoky red eyes. Her oriental beauty was kind of gothic. Her hair was black with ombre grey strands. Her hair flowed down her back. She was wearing a Morticia dress from The Adam's Family, that long, slim black dress. There was a hood on it. Her star cut out was on that hood. I jumped back into a fighting position because I was surprised by the woman. Ozario took hold of my arms, gently lowering them to my side. I looked at him, feeling a little uncomfortable.

"It's alright, Cat." Ozario laughed. "She's just Skuld. I guess, she can come off a bit creepy, sometimes," he reassured.

I nodded at him and waved at Skuld.

She walked closer to my face. "Don't be afraid. Everything is alright. I won't bite, yet."

My eyes grew at the "yet" she had to include. Skuld took my hands to drag me near her. She stared at me for a long time while everyone conversed with each other in the background. Skuld pulled something out of her pocket and opened her hand, revealing my family's crest. A bracelet. She handed it to me, curling the palm of my hand until it became a fist.

"We came for you, Miss Yong. We knew your family, your parents. We are here to help you on your journey. We are supposed to help you before going to Aro. I am so relieved you found your way here. These are great people," She explained in a kind tone.

I smiled at her, losing all my fear. "Really? You can help me?"

She nodded at my question. "Let us talk about what we do before proceeding with the plans."

"Alright... Wait... What plans?" I replied as we began to walk toward the couch.

After we sat down, Skuld called the girls, Urdur and Verdandi, to our side. They rushed next to us. The Cullens and Jacob followed behind them to listen. Everyone sat in a circle with a face full of curiosity, but not as much as me. The newcomers could be the key to who I was and what my purpose was. Ozario sat next to me, listening with a smile.

"Alright, girls. Where shall we begin?" asked Urdur.

"What we can do before she gets frightened. That's if she finds out later." Verdandi decided. She looked at me and explained herself, "I can view everything in present time, Miss Yong." Verdandi pulled out another one of my family's crests. It was like a miniature mirror in her hand. She turned it toward the rest of us, so we could see what she meant. The little mirror projected a current event by the river flowing behind the house. It revealed Seth and Leah returning to their home.

I was stunned by the fact that she could show events that were currently happening around us. "So, your visions don't show anything else?" I asked in curiosity.

Skuld butted in, "That is what Urdur and I are for."

"I remember every past event since the beginning of time. If you ask me anything about history, I can tell you everything. I could even help with the history class you're failing," offered Urdur, insulting my efforts in history class.

"I'm not failing. I have an A in that class... I'm failing math with a D on my progress report." I corrected. If I need help with anything, it is math. I was pathetic at it my whole life... Well. For at least five years, of course.

Ozario eyeballed me, letting me know I was in deep trouble. I looked away, scratching my neck. I whistled a pitiful tune out of nervousness. He tilted his head underneath mine, so I'd be forced to stare into his disappointed eyes. He narrowed them more. Onyx grabbed my chin for me to look at him. I raised my eyebrows, flinching slowly as I prepared to hear what he might say.

"You should have asked me for help if you were having trouble, Cat." He scolded gently. "You know I'm great at it."

I sighed. "I know... I guess, I didn't want to pester you about

it."

Ozario shook his head with a smile. "I will help you, alright? You're never a pest. Remember that, okay?"

I nodded my head and turned back to the three girls. They laughed at Ozario's and my way of speaking to each other, like it was some cute couple thing. It wasn't! I think. I blushed, bringing my knees to my cheeks to cover them. Ozario placed one of his hands on my head. We continued to listen.

Skuld touched her cheek by poking her dimple. She tried to find a clever way to express her gift, "Mm... Like Alice, I can see the future. However, no matter what choices you make, I can see your definite future. That means, my visions are unstoppable events, they're bound to happen. In rare cases, I can also see the outcome of the selected decision." Skuld looked a little upset as she said, "Alice's visions are a lot more powerful and can change at any time. Sadly, I don't have such luxury, which brings me to tell you something important."

I sat up properly, with my back straight to listen.

"Your training won't be easy, Miss Yong," Skuld informed. "You're going to have many setbacks so be prepared for the worst-case scenarios. I don't know what's going to happen from now until where I see, but all I know is that it's here–despite the next obstacles–that's best for you. I mean, for all of you. I know you're going to ask us who you are or where to go, Miss Yong. I'm sorry, but your father told me to let you find out for yourself. I can't show you anything past that point because I promised that I wouldn't."

My shoulders limply fell. I respect people who keep promises, but I wished hers wasn't made.

"Besides, my vision is blurred. I don't know if Alice has foresaw your future yet. I believe you're writing that part on your own, because it might be a choice. We've come here to serve you because that's what your father wanted. Please, let us serve you, please?"

The girls stood up and bowed again to me. I think I made a strange face, because Ozario wiped it off with his hand. I looked at him, and then back at the girls. What am I supposed to say? I'm not worth serving or being called "Milady" again. I started moving my hands around my legs in a circular motion to think of a way to respond.

"Um. Oh, I guess? But, I don't want to be treated like a queen or some crap like that. I'm hardly close to anything but a bumpkin." There! I finally said it! Yes!

Ozario hit my arm.

I grabbed my shoulder. I growled, "Ow!"

"Hush. You may not be a queen, but you aren't good enough to be a bumpkin, either," he insulted me while laughing.

My mouth dropped.

"I'm kidding. Chill," I comforted. "You know I don't think that."

My eyes narrowed. "You are such a-"

"Hunk," A divine and feminine voice echoed around the corner of the doorway! A giggle followed.

An Afro-American woman— a little lighter than I — appeared out of the blue. She looked as lovely as everyone else in the room. But something intriguing, something very different, distinguished her from all the others. Her beauty almost overpowered Rosalie by an extra point. Her golden hair was in the middle of her back. It's been styled in curlier waves than Ness's. She dressed unbelievably wonderful, but not too formal. She loved heavily frilled clothes, I could see. Wow! Just wow! Now, there were more god-like, heavenly beings in the room. In here, I'm the only ugly face. Intensified inner whimpering!

Her full, rosebud lips parted, letting out a voice that was out of this world. "Hello, Ozario. Nice seeing you again."

Ozario's eyes sort of lit up and his brother, Henry, growled low. Onyx glared at his brother. Afterward, he hurried to his feet and rushed over to hug her. "Astrid, hey. I did not expect your visit."

Astrid and Ozario let go of each other, smiling brightly.

He looked at me. "Catalina, this is Astrid," he introduced. "She's the girl I spoke to you about the other day. Come over, please?"

I stood up, grinning. Oh! Astrid! Ozario's ex has arrived? As uncomfortable as this made me, I kindly greeted her, "Hello, Miss Astrid! I am Catalina. It is nice to meet you."

She let out her hand for a shake. "Pleasure is all mine. You are beautiful."

I stuck out my hand to shake back. "Not as perfect as you and your beauty. I can't ever match you or Rosalie."

The moment our hands touched, and as she giggled, something was going off inside of me. An alarm. I had another flashback at the very second our hands touched. A dark one. The day of my father's death, that night, a woman whispered something in my ear. I couldn't remember what it was, but she was the one who bit me. I couldn't see her face because there wasn't a clear vision. I pushed the woman out of anger and tried to suck the blood in my arm. I looked back at her and the other Vipers, but I couldn't see their faces either. Outside of this sudden flashback, in a matter of seconds, I snatched my hand from Astrid. Blinking the terror away.

I gasped, "Oh, my gosh!"

I felt Ozario's hand on my cheek. "Are you alright," he asked?

I nodded and looked at Edward, who couldn't seem to make out the image, either. Jasper tried to sooth my emotions as best as he could. I glanced up at Ozario's worried face. He brushed my hair back. I shook my head, blinking again.

I cleared my throat. "I'm sorry. I just had a memory is all. I've been trying to get them back," I clarified, apologetically.

"It's alright. So, you lost your memories? How," Astrid asked in concern?

"I lost it five years ago. It was a murder spree and I lost my dad. I guess it was so devastating my other memories must have been overthrown by my trauma. They have been coming back slowly recently." If she visited a lot, there wouldn't be any need to lie. Eventually, I'd have to face my fears too. So, at least I should be strong enough to tell someone about it.

"I see." Astrid looked away from me and she appeared to be in deep thought. "Catalina... Yong, Catalina? I'm sorry. Your jewelry box. It's open over there."

I looked where she was pointing, and I saw my box. The medallion was lying in the open, revealing my last name. I nodded, and I agreed with a smile. As she looked back at me, Astrid smiled from her eyes with a strange and intimidating vibe. I looked down, frightened. I didn't know why I was scared.

Astrid walked closer toward me. She asked, "Wow. Legendary human girl. You're very doll-like. May I touch your hair?"

I blinked in confusion. I could've sworn I just saw her give me the devil's eye. "Sure! I don't mind." I permitted.

Astrid caressed my hair, feeling the texture of it. She was still smiling at me. I was looking at Ozario. He seemed to have a careful expression on his face. His eyes were like flying darts to his ex until Astrid caught a glimpse of his gaze. Onyx's cold glare shifted back to a sweet look. Ozario, the sly fox–No, in this case, the big bad wolf wanted to play safe. I knew by his deceitful reactions to her, he had to be planning something. Why did he look at her like that? Skuld pushed me out of the way. I tumbled a little. Ozario kept my body in place, preventing me from falling. He always caught me before I would fall.

"Um... Ok. I'll just move." I muttered, nonchalantly.

"What are you doing here, Astrid? I thought you were going to... I don't know... rot in hell." Skuld acted very displeased by Astrid's sudden appearance. She crossed her arms and frowned.

Astrid glared at Skuld. She smiled, wiping away the evil glare. "I wanted to see my old friend, Ozario. I didn't expect to come across The Three Fates. Let me guess... Hercules sent you, or did Hades?"

Skuld got angrier. "No, but I'm surprised you're still showing your face. I believe Ozario did a remarkable thing humiliating you, Miss Aphrodite. How does it feel to be ashamed of yourself? I mean, I'm useful, but not that desperate for service."

Ozario butted in between the two, "Alright. Enough. I can never get you two to behave. This isn't about rivalry, it's about helping Catalina. You all responded to our bellow for aiding her."

Ozario's eyes flickered up at me and he said, "Catalina, Astrid wanted to help you get your memories back, too. Okay?"

"Okay." I replied in a faint voice. The girls continued to argue. I decide to step in. "Excuse..."

Ozario still tried to stop them from fighting.

I got frustrated and yelled at the girls a little louder. "Stop!" In a stern voice, I said,"This is utterly ridiculous. It's a shame that a human girl has to get two hundreds-of-year-old women to stop acting like they're ten!" I placed my hands on my hips and frowned.

Everybody gawked at me.

I sighed. "I don't care what you are or how strong you may be. I will speak my mind. Now, listen!" I demanded in irritation.

Astrid and Skuld faced me like statues.

"Both of you are better than this. If we are gonna work together for one goal we can't act like enemies on the same team. Let's just try to get along. If it doesn't work, we'll fabricate some sort of new option that helps everyone in some way or other, clear," I reprimanded, with one brow up?

They just nodded. Ozario looked impressed. Astrid and Skuld stopped fighting for the remainder of the evening. Sadly, Skuld was right about the challenging tasks ahead. One of them was Astrid and the way she communicated. I had hoped that the hatred of Skuld and Astrid for one another would soon pass over. It was annoying! We could never keep these two women in the same room, so instead, we chose groups. We would switch partners every single day. We all never let those girls get near each other anywhere. Though we got more support from the kinder red eyes, defining the results in my journals was still a bit difficult.

Skuld continued to touch "Blue Moon" like she was waiting for something to happen. Carlisle seemed to be very close to a solution, and Skuld, but they wouldn't tell me. A couple of days passed. I remained locked up and alone in Carlisle's office the day before New Year's Eve, in search of answers. The only thing I knew so far was that the snow had begun to melt, outside of reading these forsaken pages.

I began to hear the echo of a muffled argument downstairs. It didn't sound like Skuld and Astrid this time. It included the voice of a man. Even from afar, I recognize it. Onyx had been riled up. I rushed down the stairs to see what the problem was. I hated it whenever he got angry. In the room behind the stairs, Astrid and Ozario were arguing. I hung around, eavesdropping on them.

Astrid yelled, "You really think she's going to be good for you? She's not even enough! She can't provide anything like people of our kind can!"

"I am a man," Ozario shouted back! "It's not supposed to be her job to provide. It's mine! I don't care if she isn't like us. She doesn't have to be."

I heard Astrid stomp on the floor hard with her heel. "You could die by keeping your little pet upstairs. You know that, don't you? So why go through with this?"

"She isn't my pet! She's..." Ozario's voice softened, "My Catalina."

I covered my mouth. They're talking about me? This reminded me of my mother and grandmother. How they debated rather to tell me about who I was or not. Was it about keeping me in this argument between Ozario and Astrid? ... Or something else?

"Cat is my best friend— I mean, more than that. If you don't like it, you have to deal with it. But, I'm no longer playing your stupid games. I'm sick of it. It's just vile. I tried to forgive you. Other times, it feels like I can't do it, and that means a lot. It's never been hard for me to forgive anyone. One thing for certain, the day I met her, a lot of things changed. My life wasn't as colorful and bright as it is today. I'm happier than I have ever been. Ugh! I never realized how bad I felt, or how much my brother and I had suffered from all my careless decisions until you showed up. You've made things harder for us. Then there's Catalina and, because of her, it's all over. It's all because she helps me to get relaxed and forget all the pains I've experienced. So, I'm giving the favor back. She's not just a human girl. Perhaps, to you. But I don't care about that. Catalina is a paradise... to me," Ozario held a long pause.

So, did Astrid.

My heart began to beat too much. Maybe I should hurry upstairs before they hear it. I started walking up the stairs slowly to avoid contact. My hand caught something, but I didn't wear long sleeves. I looked back. Ozario had a diabolical glare in his eyes. He pulled me close to him and hugged me tightly. My arms were instinctively wrapped around him.

"You're such a devilish spy," he whispered in my ear.

I melted from the tickling feeling this time. I shook my head. "No. You two were yelling so loud I thought I heard a horde of animals rioting down here."

Ozario chuckled melodically as he released me. Still, he embraced my hand in his and then tugged me upstairs. "Come with me. We should rest for tonight, okay?"

"Sure. As long as you don't use your sexy Spanish accent to allure me into bed like the incubus you are," I teased.

Ozario grinned heartily. "Aw. How else will I make you fall asleep?" he asked, jokingly.

I thought for a minute about his discussion downstairs. "You're... more than just my best friend, too. So, why not we just fall asleep to each other?"

Onyx paused mid step. Slowly he turned around, looking into my eyes. I knew this sweet look. Ozario was weighing my words, thinking about how to respond. He had a hard time doing that. Instead, Onyx lifted me up in his arms and took me to the bedroom. He lay me down gently on the bed, so softly that I was his jewel. I was sure. For the first time, he lied next to me and underneath the covers. I scooched closer to him. Ozario coated me in his warm arms.

With Onyx's nose kindly stroking mine, he whispered, "Catalina... I hate how hard it is to respond to you, especially when you say things like that."

"Why not love that you don't? I mean, I don't believe you hate me or anything. It's okay to be speechless, sometimes. Besides, you may have difficulty telling me how you feel, but you show me every day. That's just how kind you really are." I replied.

There was no need to question Ozario's feelings. He couldn't say much on his mind because he wasn't used to doing that. Anyone could tell. Onyx had magnificent ways to prove it, though. I knew he loved me without him having to say a word. I had admired him because I could never pull that off as good as he could. Somehow, in any way possible, I wanted to show Onyx how I felt. I didn't know how to, but I loved him more and more each day for teaching me. I loved watching him teach me.

"One day, I will be able to tell you what I am thinking, like you." Ozario murmured.

I rubbed his nose with mine. "Do whatever you please, Onyx. I mean, you did it, talking to Astrid. What you said about me was so kind. I'm just as afraid to let you in my mind, too. But, uh... I think that's why I'm an open book, just to let you know all my secrets. That way, I don't have a lot to say a lot."

Ozario chuckled. "Because you have already said it. Yet, you're still an unsolvable mystery. You're honest even when you try not to be. I, kind of, admire that," he admitted, caressing my cheek.

I grinned slightly by the compliment. "Thanks. Sleep."

Onyx giggled from my demand. "Yes, milady."

"Ew. Don't call me that. I'm a nuisance to the word."

He flicked my arm and frowned. "Don't say that. You are not... you're worse," he joked and laughed.

I laughed at the sarcasm in his voice. "Whatever! Sleep, you jerk."

Ozario smiled and closed his eyes. "Whatever you say, milady."
