I carefully put Tommy into his bed. Placing his teddy bear into his arms and pulling the duvet over him. I press a kiss to his temple and stroke his hair from his face. Moments like this made me wish that I had forever with him.

I flick on his night light and then leave his bedroom and leave the door open a crack.

I groan as I hunch over the banister to the stairs. My hand coming up to hold my ribs. Since the ride to Tacoma, my ribs had been killing me. The bruising was dark and ugly, covering the majority of my rib cage on the right side. I had visited Tara at the hospital, and she gave me some painkillers but told me to take it easy.

Having a hyperactive seven year old wasn't making it easy on my ribs. But I wouldn't let my son know I was in pain.

I look to the bottom of the stairs as I hear the familiar rumble of a Harley pulling up outside. The engine cut as I started to make my way down to the front door. Looking through the peep hole, I see Jax getting off his bike.

I open the door as he makes his final steps to approach me.

"You're here late." I say, puzzled by his surprise visit.

"Came by to check up on you." He replies as he passes me to enter my house. I close the door behind him, and he turns back to me. "Tommy in bed?"

"Yeah, just put him down." I reply and gesture for him to follow me into the kitchen. I hiss in pain when I reach the fridge. Jax is instantly behind me and holding me up as I hunch over again. He keeps me level and helps me to sit on one of the stools to the counter.

"Ribs still acting up?" He asks and I nod my head. He shakes his head at me and walks back to the fridge. Opening the door to the freezer side and pulling out a bag of peas. He returns to my side and grabs the towel from the counter beside me. Offering it over to me, I smile as I take it and gently press the cold towel wrapped bag to my side.

"Tara said she gave you pain meds." He grunts as he hops up on the counter opposite me.

"Yeah. I take them every six hours." I reply and press more onto my ribs to numb the pain. "But I know you aren't here to babysit me. So, what's up?"

Jax smiles at me before looking down at his hands. The kitchen was quiet for a moment as we sat there together.

"Bobby told me about the argument you and Opie had at the party." Jax speaks up as he looks back over at me. His blue eyes meet with my own as my heart begins pounding a little harder in my chest. "Is it true?"

I bite my bottom lip as I look away for a moment. It was bound to come out at some point to the club. I just wished it had been a little longer – especially seeming as Filip and I hadn't made anything official between us.

"There's nothing official between us." I reply and look back at my brother. His brow contorted in confusion. "We have been sleeping together for a couple months. Started back just before I was patched in." Jax shakes his head. His lips press into a thin line and he stares me down.

"Do you know what Clay will do?" He snaps at me. Standing up from the counter and walking over to me. "You'll be thrown out of the club. Hell, he may even throw out Chibs!" I flinch at his words as he raises his voice.

"I brought you into this club to help sort it out. Together!" He yells and I look away from him. "You were the only one I thought I could trust to help me bring this club back. To get it back to the dream that Dad had!"

"I'm sorry!" I interrupt him as I stand up. "Okay? I'm sorry." I regret standing up and instantly lean back onto the counter and hold on tighter to the bag of peas against my side. Jax's breathing calms down as he gets a grip over himself. I keep an eye on him as I try to ignore the growing ache in my ribs.

"You gotta sort out whatever it is between you two." He sighs. "Clay is going to come down hard on you once it reaches him."

"I know." I huff. "I'll talk to Filip tomorrow." I assure him. He shakes his head before gingerly pulling me into a hug. I return his affection and rest my head against his chest.

"You still have a thing for older guys then." Jax chuckles after a moment. I roll my eyes at him and hit him gently on the shoulder.

The morning came quickly, and I took some more painkillers before waking Tommy up. Today he would be going to mom's as I had to help out with the club. So, whilst I sent him to go brush his teeth and wash his face, I packed his backpack ready for the day.

He came downstairs and smiled to show me his freshly cleaned teeth.

"Look at those pearly whites!" I gush over him and tickle his sides. He squeals in delight before running away to the living room.

I go to follow but stop when a Harley pulls up outside the house. I walk towards the door and look through the peep hole to see Filip swinging his leg over his bike. I unlock the door and open it as he puts his helmet on the left handle. He had a brown bag in his right hand.

"You're up early." I raise an eyebrow at him. He looks up at me and takes his sunglasses off before walking up to the door.

"Wanted to come over." He replies and holds up the brown bag. "I brought muffins." He grins. I roll my eyes and move out the way for him to enter.

"Chibby!" Tommy's cheers fill my ears as Filip rounds the corner to the living room.

"Lil' man!" Filip cheers back as he opens his arms for my son to jump into. I smile at the sight of Filip ruffling up Tommy's hair and my son's giggles filling the house. "I brought ya breakfast." He shows Tommy the bag and sets him down. Handing over the bag, Tommy thanks him and then runs into the kitchen to sit and eat.

"Filip." I call as he starts to make his way to the kitchen. He turns back to me and raises an eyebrow at me.

"Done somethin'?" He asks. I shake my head as I close the distance between us with a few steps.

"No. I just…" I trail off as I look up at him. His eyebrows knit together in concern as I take a shaky breath. "Bobby told Jax." I tell him. A moment passes before he realises what I meant, and he runs a hand down his face.

"He came over last night and asked for us to sort things out." I continue. "If Jax knows this fast, I imagine Clay is going to be told just as soon." I run my hand through my hair as Chibs puts his hands on his hips.

I wait for his response, but he doesn't say anything. The pounding in my chest speeds up and I begin to fidget with the bottom of my pyjama shirt.

"Ya wan' me?" Filip asks. I look up at him and meet his brown eyes. He reaches out and takes my hand into his own. His thumb gently rubbing along my knuckles. I take a breath as I nod my head.

"Yes." I reply and smile. My chest felt as though there were a bird's wings beating softly against my ribs. The fact that I had just admitted for the first time that I wanted the man stood in front of me felt terrific.

"Then I guess we are gonna be going into this, together." He smiles at me as his other hand comes up and cups my face. I stand on the tip of my toes to press my lips to his. We quickly fall into a dance with one another. His hand holding mine reaches out to my hip instead and pulls me closer to him as my own hands go up to his hair. Own lips move together in a way that felt so new yet familiar. Pulling away for a breath, he chuckles as he looks down to my eyes.

"'Sides. Won't be the first time I've broken the rules." He says and I roll my eyes at him and peck his lips once more.

"Mommy?" I turn my head to see Tommy stood in the doorway of the kitchen. His mouth hanging open as his eyes bug out of his head. I look up at Filip and then back at my son. I quickly pull myself out of his arms and take a step towards Tommy.

"Baby-"

"Are you going to be mommy's new boyfriend?" Tommy asks as he looks at Filip. I turn back to Filip as he laughs and walks up to Tommy beside me.

"Am I allowed to be with ya ma?" He asks him as he crouches down to him. Tommy looks between him and me.

"Does this mean we can't be friends?" He frowns at Filip – causing the Scotsman to laugh again.

"We will be best buds till the day I drop." Filip assures him. "Just means I'll be staying over more." At this Tommy beams with joy and hugs him. He lets go of him and then turns to me.

"Mommy! Can Chibby stay in my room?" He asks as he jumps up and down. I laugh at his reaction. Having him this excited about us gave me a glimmer of hope that maybe the club wouldn't be so tough us.

I cut the engine to my bike. Tommy lets go of my arms and begins to take his helmet off. I follow suit and we hang them onto the handlebars before I lift him off the bike onto the driveway. I look over to Filip as he was taking his helmet off and I couldn't help but laugh at the sight of a big bad biker with a spiderman backpack on his shoulder.

I swing my leg over my bike and then grab hold of Tommy's hand as he fiddled with the zip to his jacket. Filip joined us as we reached the door. I let Tommy enter first and then followed behind into the hall.

"Morning!" Tommy cheered as we saw mom, Tara and Jax in the kitchen. We all greeted each other as Filip closed the door behind us all.

Jax gives me a pointed look and I nod my head at him in response. He then turns his attention to Filip as I walk over to greet my nephew with Tommy.

"Thought the prospect was with you?" Jax asks as Tommy smiles down at his cousin.

"No." Filip replies and puts Tommy's bag down on the counter. "The wee man goes under the knife today. He's getting his sack filled." I quickly cover Tommy's ear at his choice of words and frown at him.

"Excuse me?" Mom asks as she frowns.

"He's completing himself." Filip rephrases. I share a look with mom and shake my head. I let go of Tommy and walk over to the counter where Filip put Tommy's bag down. He pokes me in the side. I squeal, jumping away. He laughs at me as I swat his arm before turning back to mom.

"Everything he needs is in the bag. Medicine, toys, change of clothes." I tell her and set the bag down on the table.

"Gonna take him to the park. That okay?" She asks me. I nod my head as Tommy follows Tara and sits next to her as she feeds Abel. Mom then takes a look between me and Filip with a knowing smile. I roll my eyes at her and move back over to the counter by Filip.

"You pair work out what you're gonna do?" Jax asks as he puts his gun in his holster. I glare at him as mom and Tara look other to myself and the Scotsman.

"Wait." Tara gasps as she looks between us. "You two?"

"Yeah!" Tommy speaks up as he beams. "Chibby is mommy's boyfriend." He giggles and I give him a playful glare. Jax smiles and shakes his head whilst Tara sits and adjusts to the news.

"About time." Mom smiles and I roll my eyes at them all.

"We're met to be meeting Clay." I remind Jax. Giving him a look that tells him to 'hurry his ass up'.

"I'm ready." He chuckles before turning to pick up a box. "Dump these in my truck."

Filip walks up behind him and bumps his hips into my brothers – causing him to jump up.

"Pleasure." Filip chuckles, taking the box from Jax.

"Remembering breakfast with daddy?" Jax jokes with him as he puts his jacket and kutte on.

"Oh yeah. Kippers and oatcakes, delicious." He replies as Tommy comes to him. Tommy quickly hugs him, and Filip ruffles his hair. "See ya later, wee man." He says before leaving the house.

I crouch down and give my son a hug. Kissing his cheek and telling him to be good before following Jax out the house.

So the news is out about them! What do you think Clay's reaction might be? I'm enjoying writing this story again as my muse is giving me so many ideas and directions to take this story. Hopefully it lasts too!
