Hey guys,

I hope you're all doing fine.

April is finally here! And here comes the first story/chapter of the month, like I announced a couple of days ago.
And since cute baby Dean seems to be so popular among you, he won the first poll (on my facebook group Rainbow Universe).

It was the first poll and there are many to follow! So if you don't want to miss anything and are looking forward to take part at the next one,
make sure to follow me on facebook (Liz Storywriter) and join the Rainbow Universe :)

And now have fun with baby Dean and Roman, handling Mrs. Carter's surprising visit.

Roman froze, while he was thinking about just pretending not to be home for a moment.
Today, of all days! Why the hell did she decide to pay them a visit today?!, Roman thought, feeling cold shivers running up and down his spine, when he remembered in what messy condition the house was right now.
The dirty diaper in the kitchen … all his dirty clothes on the bathroom floor- …
But Roman's nauseating thoughts were interrupted, by another loud bell rang and the tall man realized that Mrs. Carter wouldn't give up that easily. Especially because his car was parked right in the driveway.
Damn it!, Roman cursed silently, taking a deep breath, before he took a step closer to the door.
"Who's there?", he asked loudly - trying to sound as relaxed as possible - while he was still hoping that he had mistaken the post woman's voice for Mrs. Carter's.
"It's Mrs. Carter from the youth welfare service." She chattered Roman's hopes at a single blow, greeting him with a smile, when the tall man slowly opened the door a jar.
"Oh, h-hello! W-What a surprise!", the black haired man nervously smiled back at her, keeping the door as closed as possible. When he got aware of the mess, his quick dressing-action from before, had left in the corridor.
"Hahaha, that's what a surprising-visit is all about, Mr. Raigns.", Mrs. Carter laughed, obviously not even noticing the small sweat drops on Roman's pale forehead.
"So, can I come in?", she asked, after the tall man still hadn't moved in door crack.
"O-Of course-.", he said, opening the door. But just enough that Mrs. Carter could see Dean on his right arm.
"Oh, there he is, the little man." She smiled and reached out for the boy to stroke over his hair, causing Dean to freeze.
" … b-but we were just about to leave.", Roman ended his sentence from before, feeling Dean's uncomfortableness increasing rapidly, when Mrs. Carter's hand actually touch him. "Dr. Adams is awaiting us in …" The tall man's hectic look fell on his watch. 08.30 am, " … now. He awaits us right now."
"Oh.", Mrs. Carter said a bit surprised, "Well good that you take the boy's heath so seriously and made the appointment right away. It's for vaccinations, right?" She made a mental note, when Roman briefly nodded, while he was searching in his pockets for the keys.
"Yes, I'm sorry Mrs. Carter, now you made the whole way for nothing.", the tall man apologized a bit absent, still on the search for his car keys.
"Well, that's okay. I just can take my time to look at the house then.", Mrs. Carter said, causing the shocked tall man to let go of the just found keys in his left hand.
This was a total disaster! What would she say … no, more importantly, what would Mrs. Carter do, if she saw the house in this condition?, Roman thought and if possible the tall man became even paler, while he was thinking about away to get out of this nightmare.
"Are you not feeling well Mr. Raigns?" Mrs. Carter finally seemed to notice his nervousness.
"N-No, I-I just n-noticed … I-I forget Dean's y-yellow book inside.", the tall man stuttered, hoping he could buy a little more time.
"Oh okay, I'll take him in the meantime.", Mrs. Carter smiled, reaching out for the boy, "Come here you cutie."
"Keep calm and cuddle me … Aww, that is adorable.", she laughed, reading out loud the saying on Dean's baby suit. And before the stunned father could do anything about it, Mrs. Carter already had taken Dean into her arms.
"W-Wait he-", the tall man tried to avoid the inevitable, but it was already too late, "… just ate."
Besides the fact that Dean seemed to really not like being touched by Mrs. Carter. The boy also hadn't made his burp yet, which he now instantly caught up on – all over Mrs. Carter's blouse – right before Roman could hand over a spitting towel to her.
"Oww…", Mrs. Carter gasped, instinctively bringing some space between her and the screaming three months old. In case the boy decided to once again live out his dislike against her, by puking some more on her brand new outfit.
"Oh, I'm so so sorry Mrs. Carter." Roman quickly took the crying boy back into his arms, making sure to first put a towel over his own shoulder. Before he soothingly started rocking his sobbing baby boy against it.
"Shhh it's okay Dean … daddy's here …", Roman murmured softly, lovingly kissing his dirty blonde hair.

"Well Mr. Raigns, I'm afraid to tell you this …", Mrs. Carter said, still a bit shocked after she poorly had managed to dry her clothes with the towel, " … but we have to shift this. I'll come back on another day."
"Y-Yes. Yes, of course.", Roman quickly said. He was still busy with calming the upset three months old in his arms –watching Mrs. Carter slightly stumbling back to her car.
"… a-and again, I'm really sorry for … w-what happened Mrs. Carter!" the tall man shouted after her, before Mrs. Carter started her car and disappeared behind the next corner.

To be continued ...
