~ September 2nd, 1994 ~

Fred and George had talked so much about how they were going to sway the impartial judge to let them put their names in for the tournament, George hadn't realized until students were dismissed to their Common Rooms that Garnet hadn't come to sit with him. And he couldn't spot her when they were leaving the Great Hall.

Fred and George hung out at the stairs from the Dungeon, waiting on Garnet to come up for breakfast.

As Garnet walked up the stairs, she hoped things would be back to normal. She hated when the Twins argued, but the fighting just seemed to get really awkward yesterday.

She saw the guys waiting for her and smiled. They were talking animatedly about the Triwizard Tournament.

"Good morning boys," she said sweetly.

"Hello Love," George grinned when she approached and kissed her on the lips quick.

"Good morning, doll," Fred winked at her and kissed the top of her head.

Garnet laughed. "So we're all okay again?" she looked at them, worry apparent on her face.

"We've talked." Fred nodded, "We're good."

"We've got too many things to worry about to be fighting." George took Garnet's hand and the three of them walked towards the Great Hall.

"I'm glad to hear that." Garnet relaxed.

They sat and figured out their scheduled for the day.

"Potions is first," Garnet sighed.

"What's with the face? I thought you enjoyed class with your *eh-hem* favorite professor?" George chuckled.

Garnet shifted uncomfortably. She didn't want to out her Godfather as a former Death Eater to everyone.

"I'm just...not in the mood this morning." Garnet shrugged.

George nodded, dropping the subject, then leaned towards Fred who was sitting on the other side of Garnet, "We need to make sure to corner Bagman when he's here for the Tournament."

Garnet shook her head. "Serves you right for gambling in the first place." she muttered.

After dinner that day, George, Fred and Lee Jordan were talking about how cool the Defense Against the Dark Arts class with Moody was as they walked towards the Courtyard.

Garnet listened to the three of them, until she heard heated words between Ron and Draco.

They all stood and listened.

"Your mother could do with losing a bit of weight, couldn't she?" Draco laughed at Ron. George and Fred bristled. Garnet grabbed each of their wrists, to keep them from joining the fight.

Then she heard Harry rally back.

"Your mother, Malfoy? That expression she's got, like she's got dung under her nose? Has she always looked like that, or was it just because you were with her?" Harry hollared, then turned to walk away.

"How dare you..." Draco pulled his wand.

Garnet acted fast, without thinking, she ran and stood, blocking Harry from Draco, but Professor Moody had cast a hex at him before Draco could utter a full word. Harry turned when he heard Moody, seeing Garnet behind him, and watched Draco turn into a beautiful white ferret.

The entire Courtyard burst into laughter as Moody bounced the Ferret around.

A feeling of relief hit Garnet's stomach as she realized she just dodged a bullet.

Once Professor McGonagall broke up the excitement and Moody drug Malfoy off to talk with Snape, Harry hugged Garnet.

"You did it again." he looked at her.

"What?" She asked.

"You stood between me and danger, forgetting about yourself." Harry smiled admiringly at her.

Ron, Hermione, George and Fred all stared at her.

"You've done that before?" George asked, concerned.

"I...yeah. Last year, I thought he was being attacked by a Dementor. Turns out it was a Boggart." she shivered at the memory.

"But she didn't know that at the time." Harry said.

George hugged Garnet around the waist. "Fearless with a side of reckless aren't you?" he whispered in her ear. "Shoulda been in Gryffindor."

"Who says Slytherin aren't fearless?" she turned in his arms and narrowed her eyes at him.

George backtracked what he said real quick, "Well, no, I didn't mean it that way."

Fred laughed at him.

Fred, George and Garnet went to sit down under a nearby tree and relax until curfew.

Cedric moseyed over to them. "Can I sit?" he asked.

George sighed quietly as Garnet smiled and said "Sure Ced."

Cedric sat in front of Garnet, since Fred and George were already on either side of her.

"I hadn't gotten to talk to you after the World Cup." He looked at Garnet. "I heard from my father that you got stunned by the Ministry!"

"Yeah..."Garnet picked at her nails, "I got separated from George and Fred. When I saw Ron, Harry and Hermione and headed towards them, well, that was right after the Dark Mark was shot into the sky. Mystery Officials came from no where and blasted anything that moved." she looked down.

"But you're alright now?" he looked at her worriedly.

Garnet smiled and nodded, "I am Cedric, don't worry."

"That's good." he smiled at her.

He would never tell her he still had feelings for her. She was so happy with George, and they were perfect together, but a piece of his heart would forever belong to her. First loves were always special.

"Ced?" she brought him out of his daydream.

"Yeah?" He starred into her eyes.

"You're seventeen, are you going for the Triwizard Tournament?" she grinned.

"Oh, well I didn't really think about it much." He cocked his head and smiled.

Garnet smiled back, "I think you could totally do it."

George bristled a bit.

"I'll give it some thought." Cedric grinned. "I'll chat with you later." he got up and bid the Twins bye before heading back into the castle.

"What was that about?" George pouted.

Garnet regarded him with confusion, "What?"

"You were flirting with him." He stated.

"Bloody hell, George Gideon Weasley!" Garnet stood up and turned on him, scaring the hell out of him.

Fred inched away from them as well, not wanting in the crossfire.

"He is my friend! Yes, we dated briefly. But if I remember correctly, it was only because someone else didn't have the guts to ask me out first." she looked at him with fire in her eyes. "Even if we didn't date, he is still my friend. F-R-I-E-N-D. I can encourage him!"

"So you don't think I could 'totally do' the Triwizard Tourney?" George crossed his arms.

Garnet rolled her eyes. "If you were seventeen, I'd be encouraging you to go for it. But you're not, and Dumbledore has already made it perfectly clear that younger students are barred from entering."

"We'll see about that." George looked at her with a smirk, "Fred and I are still going to enter."

Garnet laughed sarcastically, "Let me know how that turns out, honey." She picked up her bag. "But I'm done arguing over being friendly with my male friends. When you want to apologize for jumping on me about it, you know where I'll be." and she walked away.

George watched Garnet walk into the castle, his mouth hanging open, his eyes never leaving her backside.

Fred cleared his throat. "She's got a point you know."

George turned and looked at him, waiting for him to continue.

"If she wanted to be with anyone else, she'd be with them, not you." Fred stated.

George ran his hands through his hair. "Yeah..."

"Has she given you any reason to think she's interested in anyone else?" Fred sighed.

"No," George answered.

"Does she sneak off for hours on end, and give vague answers when you try to ask where she goes?" Fred shook his head.

"...Not anymore." George rolled his eyes.

"Right, because we know about the seizures now." Fred stood up and brushed his pants off. "So why are you so jealous of her talking to her friends? You do it when she talks to Adrian as well"

George stood up too. "I don't know, mate, it just makes me crazy."

"Well tone the crazy down a bit. You're going to make her not want to be with you if you keep it up." Fred shoved his brothers shoulder. "Go get her, quick."

George nodded, smiling at his twin, and ran off in the direction that Garnet went.

He caught her just before she reached the stairs to the dungeon.

"Garnet, love, wait." he grabbed her elbow and pulled her off to the side.

"Yes?" she crossed her arms and waited.

George scratched the back of his neck. "I'm sorry." he sighed. "I get jealous, and I can't help it."

She snorted, waiting for him to carry on.

"I know you're just friends, you're friends with a lot of people. But you're with me. Even after the spat we had around Christmas Holiday last year, you're still with me." he took her hands in his.

Her posture relaxed as she listened to him. "Don't you trust me, George?"

"I do! I truly do... it's them I don't trust." He smirked at her, "I mean, come on, love. Look at you."

"What are you talking about?" she looked down at herself.

George put his hand on her waist, "You're gorgeous."

Garnet had never felt 'gorgeous'. She was always the stocky girl. Hips too wide, butt to big, coming up short at 5ft 4in. The only thing she was grateful for was that her chest had finally filled out, but she wasn't thrilled about her hourglass form and often wished she looked like most of the other girls.

But George...George made her feel beautiful inside and out.

"Honestly, Garnet, I sometimes wonder why you chose me. If you weren't hidden under a robe half the time, I'm sure I'd be beating the other blokes off with a stick." George joked, then leaned in and kissed her.

Garnet pulled away after a moment, earning a whimper from George. But Garnet had other plans, she pulled George down the corridor to the left, and headed straight for a small closet she had learned of during one of her episodes.

They approached the door and she pulled out her wand.

"Garnet?" George raised a brow.

She put her finger to her lips, then turned back to the door. "Alohamora" she said, and the doorknob clicked unlocked.

Garnet pulled her boyfriend inside and shut the door behind them.

George leaned against the wall in the back of the closet. "Sweetheart," George started to question her, but his words were silenced when Garnet pulled him towards her by his tie. She kissed him fiercely.

Garnet pulled and untucked George's shirt, then crept their way up his stomach to his chest. When they were fooling around the morning before, contact with his warm skin made all her senses come alive. She wanted to feel that again.

But George broke the kiss. "Garnet, what are you doing?"

"You asked why I choose you," She stilled her hands on his chest. "You, George Weasley, always know how to make me smile. You've always been one to ask me how I was doing, you've worried about me when we were younger, you show me you care about me in silly ways. You make me feel beautiful. It's all of that and none of it. Just being around you makes me happy. I know I can be myself around you. Heaven knows I'm not perfect, but you make me feel like I am. You make me feel like I'm enough. You're protective, I get that. And I can deal with the muttering under your breath when my guy friends approach, and the huffing you do when I let go of your hand to hug one of them, but as long as you don't question my wanting to be with you, that I love you, then I can ignore the rest of that." she smiled at him. "So that is why I chose you, but I wonder why you choose me."

George smiled down at her, he brushed her cheek with the back of his hand, "You were an intriguing girl from the first time I saw you." he grinned at the memory. "It took a while to break through your reserved protective exterior, but once we got you to open up, you amazed me. You made friends with the two mischievous students at school. You are sweet, kind, loving, fun, adventurous, and you aren't afraid to show it anymore. Seeing you talk to other guys makes me go mental, but I trust you fully, so I can keep my crazy at bay." He leaned down and kissed her gently.

Garnet didn't want gentle. She drug her nails down his stomach, earning a muffled groan from George.

He broke the kiss and looked at her with a questioning smile.

She pulled her jumper up over her head.

"Garnet!" he whispered, eyes wide.

"What? I'm still wearing more than I was yesterday morning, aren't I?" She smirked.

George chuckled, "Necking in the closet..." he shook his head, "so cliche."

Garnet put her hands on her hips, "You got a better idea?"

He shook his head again, then grabbed her waist and pulled her against him.

George put his finger under her chin and lifted it, making her look him in the eyes. "You are in charge. You don't like what I'm doing, you just say the word and I will stop. Understood?"

Garnet blushed, but nodded.

George untucked her blouse from the waistband of her skirt and slowly touched her waist. Where his skin was warm, hers was cool.

Garnet sighed contently as his hand slowly inched their way up her sides. George leaned down and kissed her. That's when he got a little daring and his thumbs stroked the sides of her breasts.

Not breaking the kiss, Garnet smiled, opening her lips just enough George's tongue stroked her bottom lip.

George's hands cupped her breasts, eliciting a moan from Garnet. George chuckled quietly. He began kissing his way down her neck. Garnet's eyes lulled shut as her head tipped to the side, giving him better access.

Wanting to press his body against hers, George's hands quickly cupped her butt and pulled her against him. He turned them and pressed her back against the wall, pressing his hips into her. One hand slid down her thigh and lifted it up over his hip. He began grinding against her.

Garnet's senses were on overload. His lips on her neck, one hand on her breast, the other on her thigh, and his hardness rubbing against her. A feeling began in the pit of her stomach, and began to spread outword.

"George..." she moaned, wrapping her arms around his neck, hands in his hair.

"Shh..." he smirked against her neck. "Wanna get us caught?"

He quickened his grinding.

Garnet's eyes rolled back in her head. Her breathing became ragged as the pressure building up in her core began to take over. Her hold on his hair tightened.

"George!" her body began to shake. Waves of pleasure hit her with such force, she became lightheaded. She rode out the waves, whimpering quietly.

George slowed his grinding. He kissed her lips gently. "Alright, love?" he watched her chest heaving as she caught her breath.

Garnet opened her eyes and looked up at him, blush tinting her cheeks. She nodded, biting her lip.

"That was fun," George smirked at her.

Garnet nodded again, smiling, still trying to catch her breath. George kissed her again until Garnet broke it.

"Um...Georgie?" she said quietly.

"Yes love?" he looked at her concerned.

"Can you put my leg down? I'm beginning to lose feeling in it." She whispered.

George chuckled and set her leg down so both feet were on the floor. He took a step back so Garnet could straighten her uniform up.

"Do I look disheveled?" She looked at him, worried.

Grinning, George shook his head. "You look lovely, no one is going to notice. Most people have gone back to their Common Rooms by now anyway."

Garnet nodded. "We, um, we may have to do this again." she said, blushing again.

George's hand slid behind her neck, pulling her closer to him, "Most definitely." he kissed her again.
