A certain incident happened in the last day of November after Rintarou and Miwa's wedding.

"I like you! Please go out with me!"

Ayaka who was on her way home from her part time job was called out by a male high school student. The boy was tall with smooth auburn hair and brown eyes. He wore the Bright Centrair uniform.

"I'm Hagiwara Tadashi. I'm a 2nd year and I attend Bright Centrair. I've been a regular at the cafe and I saw you at the school festival. Are you and Asahina-senpai dating?"

"No. We're-"

"That''s a relief!" Tadashi cut her off and gave her his contact information that was scribbled on a piece of paper. "I'll wait for your response! Goodbye!" he ran off

"He didn't let me explain." Ayaka sighed "I should think it over and give my response." she reluctantly put the paper in her pocket.

Ayaka thought it would be best if she did not tell Eri, Juli or the Asahina brothers for now. She would ask for advice whenever she felt that she needed some. Little did she know, a certain someone witnessed the whole thing with a smile. That evening, Ayaka and Ukyo finished making dinner and a majority of the brothers were present at the dining table minus Fuuto and Natsume. Hikaru also came by to visit as he wanted to give Kaname the latest volume of his literature.

"By the way imouto-san"

"Yes Hikaru-san?"

"When are you going to reply to that customer's confession?"

The once lively atmosphere turned quiet for a split second. Then the silence was broken by Yusuke, Juli and Tsuabki yelling while Ukyo, Kaname, Iori and Subaru were expressing their shock in silence.

"What?!" Yusuke exclaimed "A-A confession?!"

"What?! Aya, who's this guy?!" Juli screeched his fur standing on end

"Who's this guy?! A classmate?!" Tsubaki demanded

"No. He said he was a 2nd year like me and he attends Bright Centrair"

"Iori, explain yourself." Tsubaki stared at Iori as did Yusuke and Subaru.

"Even if you say that..."

"Calm down Tsuba-chan" Kaname placed his hand on Tsubaki's shoulder "There's no point at getting mad at Iori. Though I am worried too."

"Yes" Ukyo wiped his mouth with a napkin "If a boy has shown interest in Ayaka, we should know what kind of person he is."

"Then why don't we invite him over?" Masaomi made this suggestion in order to appease his brothers

"Good idea Masa-nii. Iori can we leave that to you?"

"Yes."

"Excuse me" Ayaka spoke up and got everyone's attention "You guys aren't planning something bad are you?"

"Of course not imouto-chan. We just want to meet him."

Tsubaki nodded "And tell him to never contact you or else."

"Tsubaki," Azusa warned his older brother "Don't cause trouble."

"Yes!"

Ayaka sighed "I'm worried."

"Sorry imouto-san" Hikaru-san whispered "I saw what happened and I spoke carelessly."

"It's fine. It can't be helped." Ayaka hoped that everything will go smoothly and not poorly for that boy.

The next day, Iori visited the first-year classrooms and asked for Tadashi. He learned that he was eating with his friends since they are members of the volleyball club. Iori eventually found Tadashi and asked if he could visit his home. Tadashi agreed to do so after practice was over. It was already sunset as the two Bright Centrair students walked to the Sunrise Residence.

"Thanks for inviting me over Asahina-senpai. I didn't know that Ayaka-chan was your sister."

"Her father married our mother but she has been living with us for six months now."

"I see."

They reached the Sunrise Residence, got onto the elevator and arrived on the 5th floor where they met Ayaka and Yusuke stepping onto the balcony.

"I'm home."

"Pardon the intrusion!"

"Welcome home Iori-san. Good evening."

"Good evening!" Tadashi was glad to see Ayaka again but he flinched as he noticed Yusuke glaring at him "Is he a delinquent?" then he felt another piercing glare on his back.

"We're back."

"Welcome home Tsuabki-san, Azusa-san."

"You must be Hagiwara-kun." Tsubaki smirked "It's nice to meet you."

"Is it my imagination or are his eyes aren't smiling?" Tadashi was feeling intimidated. He knew about the voice actor twins Tsubaki and Azusa but Tsubaki was more threatening than he usually appears.

"Hello. My name is Masaomi. I'm the eldest son. Thank you for taking time to come visit us."

"Likewise, thanks for inviting me over." Tadashi felt relief as the eldest brother was kind and refreshing.

"Nee-san, are you there?" Fuuto walked in

"Welcome home Fuuto-kun."

"Wait, aren't you Asakura Fuuto from that popular idol group forte?"

"That's his stage name. He's our brother."

"Really?!"

"Hello, it's nice to meet you." Fuuto put on his smiling mask to keep up his image. He learnt from Louis while making his hair appointment that Ayaka received a confession on her way home from her part-time job. He wanted to know what kind of person he was. "He's nothing special. Just another idiot."

"By the way, the episode of that anime you three starred in is airing tonight. We should watch it. Is that okay with you Hagiwara-kun?"

"Yes." Tadashi decided that he wanted to stay despite the treatment he received.

Tadashi introduced himself to Ukyo, Kaname and Wataru who were polite and friendly unlike Yusuke and Tsubaki. Hikaru came by once more; his real intention was to be a spectator and watch everything unfold. As expected, Tadashi mistook him for being a woman and was shocked when he was told that Hikaru was a man. Tadashi met Subaru though he felt uncomfortable as the college student was glaring at him.

The dinner went off well without any problems. While he enjoyed the meal, Tadashi was not able to talk to or get close to Ayaka as he was prevented by Tsubaki and Ayaka's pet squirrel who would squeak and hiss at him. Plus, Subaru who was sitting next to him looked a He wondered why some of the brothers were treating him like a nuisance. Were they against him wanting to date their sister even though she was related through marriage? He considered himself to be a nice person, friendly and athletic.

"It's almost time for the episode."

"I'll turn on the TV."

"Thanks Wataru-chan."

"Hagiwara-kun" Masaomi spoke up "Can we talk afterwards?"

"Yes."

Tadashi wanted to sit next to Ayaka but Wataru, Fuuto, Tsubaki and Azusa beat him to it. It did not help that Yusuke and Tsubaki sent sideways glares. Thus he was forced to sit far away from them; still he was going to watch his favorite anime. The anime was a mystery/ detective series where Tsubaki and Azusa played the main characters and Fuuto had a guest spot. It reached to the point where Fuuto's character was revealed to be the culprit and he fled the scene. Tsubaki and Azusa's main characters were successful in apprehending the culprit and solving the case.

"That was amazing!" Wataru cheered as the anime's ending played "You guys were amazing!"

"Yes, that was a great episode!"

"You can be a voice actor too." Ayaka told Fuuto which bothered Tsubaki as the thought of working with his arrogant and annoying little brother on a daily basis would be the worst.

"I couldn't Nee-san. I'll leave that work to my two experienced brothers."

"Liar" Tsubaki commented to Azusa "He's just saying that because we have a guest."

"So Hagiwara-kun, can we have that talk?"

"Yes." Tadashi gulped as he mentally prepared himself for whatever was about to come.

Masaomi and Tadashi went upstairs along with Ukyo, Kaname and Hikaru. Tsubaki wanted to go but Azusa stopped him as he would be nothing more than a pest. They gathered around the table.

"We heard that you confessed to our imouto-chan." Kaname commented as he pulled out a chair for him to sit

Ukyo adjusted his glasses "We want to know the purpose of the relationship you are attempting to form"

"The purpose? It's normal for a boy to want to date a girl he's interested in."

"We know. We were high school students once. It's just, imouto-chan has been living with us for a while that she has already become our family."

"It's important that we know about the type of people who Ayaka associates with"

"Don't take it the wrong way Hagiwara-kun" Hikaru chimed in "We're just brothers looking out for our imouto-san."

"I get it. But aren't you worrying too much?" Tadashi recalled all of the glaring he had received throughout the evening. Even now it feels like they are judging him. "I just want to get to know Ayaka-chan better."

"Of course. It's just that we want to get to know you too before anything further." Masaomi straightened his back "Also, Ayaka-chan's feelings are important. There has to be mutual trust and love between two people for a relationship."

"...You're right." Tadashi was touched by Masaomi's explanation. "So please let me date Ayaka-chan!" he shouted surprising the four brothers and those downstairs. "All I have to do is prove myself! I know you're just worried about your sister so I'll show you can trust me. I'm sure after a few dates Ayaka-chan will come to like me!"

"Is that so?" Tsubaki showed up and walked towards Tadashi "Thanks for the hard work Masa-nii. Now, it's my turn." He pulled Tadashi out from his seat by his collar much to the latter's surprise and dragged him away.

"Hey Tsubaki!" Ukyo tried to go after them but Hikaru intervened

"Now, now Kyo-nii. Maybe Tsubaki can get through to that thick-headed boy."

"So that's what happened."

Ayaka and Eri were eating lunch in the classroom while Mahoko and Sae went to the school canteen to buy the daily special.

"I don't think I'll see Hagiwara-kun at Joie Cafe anymore." Ayaka remembered the look on Tadashi's face. He was pale and drained out of all energy "I'm sorry. I won't see you ever again. Just forget about me. Goodbye."

"It's for the best. If he couldn't handle the Asahina brothers, he's not worth your time."

"But..." Ayaka smiled "I'm glad that they were watching out for me."

Eri smiled as she was happy for her best friend who is enjoying her life with her extended family "I'm sure there's a more suitable guy for you. Someone with guts."

"I wonder about that." Ayaka mused to herself "Maybe someday I will fall in love with the right person."

The incident was peacefully resolved(?) But there would more incidents that Ayaka would be forced to deal with.
