Summary: Hannah and the others spend Valentine's Day in a beautiful garden when they hear the story of a mysterious person from Hannah's past.

Winter of the Rose's

"Where the heck are we and why did you drag me here?"

"Lighten up Xena, a woman must look her best when walking through Earth's gardens!"

"Ptery, I will stab you until you die if you say that again."

"Are we almost there Miss Hannah? I wanna see these pretty plants you told me about."

"I too would love to see them! Earth is such a fascinating place."

"We're almost there guys, just a little bit further..."

"Wow! A garden in the winter?"

Hannah smiled as she watched her friends run about in her mysterious garden has flowers already budding or bloomed in the cold winter climate. A row of benches could be seen with ivy intertwined on the legs. Pink flower petal fell softly in the wind, nearly knocking Ptery and Kanasu over with the giant petals. Poly stopped for a moment and inhaled the sweet scent surrounding the landscape. Even Shift was staring at the garden in awe of the beauty.

Xena herself was stunned at the fact that such a beauty existed in this world. Back on her home planet, her father had taken it upon himself to showcase what he had to offer and nothing else. She watched as Hannah sat down by an old fountain that sat in the middle of it all while everyone else explored. The green skinned alien was curious to see the ever so bubbly human girl being quiet and reflective for once, gazing at her friends playing around with each other.

"Penny for your thoughts as the humans say." Xena asked, leaning against the fountain, making sure it didn't make the structure fall over.

Hannah blinked and gave her a sad smile. "Oh it's nothing. I was just wondering what ever happened to the friend I met here before."

"A friend?" Xena wondered, raising an eyebrow. "You never mentioned a friend when we were traveling here."

"That's because no one knows about him or where he went afterwards." Hannah said, surprising her. "I found this place by accident one day when walking through town. I had gotten lost and was scared. Then a flurry of pink petals like this one flew around me and I met a strange boy."

"A boy?! Was he cute? Was he your age? Did he have a nice smile?" Kanasu asked, flying in front of Hannah's face. "Was he even an alien? You have a good heart that befriends aliens!"

Hannah blushed at that, but slowly nodded in agreement. Sure she was good at being friends with aliens, but she doubted the boy she met was one himself. Now all attention was on her to get the details about this mystery friend of hers.

Sniffling noises were heard as a small child was seen crying under a nearby tree. Her orange hair was in a cute little bun while her new green dress was covered with grass stains. A small straw hat was by her side as the little one continued to cry.

Suddenly, pink petals floated around her, making her stop and look up. Vines started going down from the tree as a small boy followed them. He had short green hair with matching eyes, wore a white long sleeved shirt and brown pants, and had a small smile on his face. There was something unusual about him, but the girl didn't seem to notice or care.

"What's wrong young maiden?" He asked her, bowing down to meet her level. "Young maidens shouldn't sully their faces with tears. Why do you cry?"

"Oh...I'm lost. I was walking around town with my mommy and lost her. I ended up here in the woods and now I can't find my way back." The girl cried even harder now, thinking about how worried her mother must be.

The boy pursed his lips together before doing something with his hands. The girl watched with curious eyes as he made a large pink flower appear in his hands before handing it to her. It glowed with a faint light and smelled of the sweetest of scents that calmed the girl down. With her permission, he placed the small blossom in her bun.

"There now, pretty as a picture. Young ladies should never cry unless it was something very serious." The boy got up and hoisted her on his shoulders. "Now, shall I take you home? I can find the way back if you could describe it for me."

The girl blushed and nodded. "I guess so. Thank you so much for making me feel better Mister-?"

"You can call me Soren, what shall I call you my lady?"

The young girl smiled. "My name is Hannah!"

Shift huffed at this tale while the others cooed about how cute it was.

"So the boy could make flowers appear in with his hands, big whoop! We are literal aliens for crying out loud!" He pointed out, rolling his eyes at how ridiculous the story was.

Kanasu squealed happily. "I loved the story! I wonder if you'll even see the boy again!"

Ptery shrugged. "Who knows? Maybe this garden only appears for Hannah or something."

"Wouldn't that be a trip, a garden just for you." Poly said, rolling around on his ball.

Xena hugged Hannah who was fiddling around with a red rose. "Think he'll ever see you again? You have that affect on us."

"Who knows, maybe he's watching me somewhere here." Hannah sighed, smelling the rose happily.

From the corner of one of the trees, the smiling face of a Florauna appeared to be watching her.
