Note:This and the next chapters are reposts from the other edition that I have decided to move here due to not enough traction on that one.

Another battle incoming! Granted, this one is a bit longer than the last one, yet this is also to give Tomahawk and Mega some time to really display how they work together, as well as preview how he and the other upcoming WRA members will work with him. I'm looking forward to introducing them all to you guys, and here's hoping that I make them all fleshed out and developed!

Please let me know who you're excited to see (if you have anyone in mind), and I hope you enjoy!

Back in the Swing Part 3

Mega Man © of Capcom

A large, blue forearm securing his neck on one side, and the tip of a charger on the other. While not entirely desirable, a part of him was somewhat eased, in that the formula had been reinstated. Looking over, Tomahawk Man was in the same predicament, only the charger and forearm holding his throat were one the same side. Dust Man had seized them both from behind, whilst Spark Man directed his 'hands' to position directly at their throats. Toad Man had leapt out from the bushes and landed a short distance away, a large grin on his exaggerated, yellow lips. A brief image of Oil Man came to the Blue Bomber's mind, though he doubted that the two would ever find a comradery with each other.

"We weren't aware that we had a guest in our humble little slice of nature." Another voice stated, the two seeing Top Man approaching them, arms outstretched, as if presenting the environment out to them. "Of course," the orange colored Robot Master grimaced slightly. "It HAS seen better days."

"I think it's perfect!" Toad Man interjected. "That Otto Raptor claimed to want to restore the planet to its former rulers, yet contained and controlled the land here." He sighed in satisfaction, as if practically taking in everything from the air to the scent of the place. "Now it's truly free and as it was intended to be."

"And we have you to thank for forcing us to trudge through this filth ridden swamp." Dust Man snarled. "The pollen here is…" he paused, the sound of his vents expelling particles sounding out throughout the vicinity. Thankfully, at least for Mega and Tomahawk, their kind wasn't embedded with the ability to create mucus. "Clogging up everything."

"Hey, we have perfect coverage here!" Toad Man argued back.

"It would've been." Spark Man lamented, he in turn shoving his chargers even more at them, the tips right at the corner of their jaws.

"You must've gone through a lot of options in order to come to a place like this." Top Man interjected, drawing close to the restrained Mega Man. "I'll wholeheartedly admit though; Light's little test university was perhaps my favorite." A smile came to him. "Speaking of which, how IS your dearest little sister? Still sporting those lovely golden locks of hers? Or maybe she has a little more shine to those lovely eyes?"

The Blue Bomber immediately thrust himself forward, only to feel a surge of electricity overcome him. His position was both compromising and ideal. If he could just focus so that his ability would be able to be executed properly. Physical contact was no problem, yet, unfortunately, copying didn't simply come on its own. Not only that, just which would be the ideal weapon to take in? Dust Man would require some aim. Toad and Top were too far away. And Spark Man would do good to all BUT Spark Man. And even with his copied ability, the Robot Master's tolerance for high voltage, as well as giving it out, proved to be quite the obstacle for concentration. Especially seeing as both he and Tomahawk were being delivered small, rhythmic shocks to their systems in a further effort to keep them both complacent.

Tomahawk…wait a moment.

It'd have to be at the right moment. And he'd have to reach over…yet it appeared that the Robot Master was giving him a small look that gave him all he needed.

"Interesting that you're not on your lonesome. Never took you as the one to work in a team." The orange Robot Master noted. "Sad to say, I'm afraid we'll have to cut this reunion short." Top Man interjected. "And cancel any others with the rest of our dear companions."

NOW!

Lifting his arm up, Tomahawk Man blasted his weapon out from his forearm, earning him a high voltage shock that sent him back a good few feet and sprawled out on the ground. Though through this, the others' fates were sealed. Dust Man felt the sharpened edge smack dab in the center of his back, dislodging his balance and sending him forward, Spark Man in turn instinctively stepping back, the domino effect gaining Mega Man his release. And thanks to the weapon embedded in his former captor's back, his chance. Focusing in and gripping ahold of it, he felt the components and knowledge of said ability become one with his system, the tomahawk dislodging from its place and returning to its owner, of whom had gotten back to his feet. Mega went over to him, brandishing his own Native based weapon.

"Don't suppose you mind if I borrow this?"

Tomahawk Man grinned. "It'd be nothing short of an honor."

With that, the two directed their focus towards their four aggressors, now fully ready to engage in combat.

"Oh yeah?" Toad Man cried out, leaping into a nearby tree. "Can those axes block THIS?!" a capsule was shot from his mouth, breaking apart in its journey. Swirls of vapor began to form above the entire group of machines, and not long after, droplets began to fall.

"Acid Rain!" Mega Man shouted. "Get out of the way!" both he and Tomahawk ducked out of the way of the stinging, sizzling rain that was beginning to develop. Though upon feeling the sensation of their outer shells being hit with multiple burning sensations, it became clear that the rain was gaining more ground.

Though this seemed to be a bad development for all of them. "Toad, you idiot!" Dust Man bellowed, shaking his fist at the amphibian-based android stationed in the tree. "Do you intend to fry all of us with this disgusting substance!"

"Well…well it won't burn you up right away!" Toad Man argued back. "Besides, nothing's stopping you from making things ever worse for them!" he gestured to the two enemy machines.

As much as he wished to expel all the horrid moisture and disgusting filth, he had gathered throughout their journey from the Skull Fortress right into the damnable frog's face, Dust Man had to admit that he had a point. Damage would be done on both sides, yet now, they had a potential advantage.

Tomahawk made the first move, releasing his weapon from its place, it flying in a spinning motion right towards Toad Man. Unfortunately for both he and Mega, the Robot Master leapt out of the way with his powerful legs, the blade of the tomahawk only managing to slice through the thickened branch that Toad Man had been perched on.

Mega was about to fire next, yet saw a large, clumped up object heading directly for his facial region. As he rose his buster, he found that it wouldn't have a mattered either way, the projectile exploded in his face, releasing several broken bits of glass, metal shards, sharpened rocks, and a bevy of other minerals and materials that composed of the unevenly composed ball. The Blue Bomber released a shout of pain, raising his hands to his face reflexively. The materials lodged into several areas of his face and helmet, burying deep and tearing through the layer of artificial skin and his outer shell, of which was still being barraged with the drops of acid rain above both he and his partner.

"Mega Man!" Tomahawk cried out, immediately going to aid his partner, though a swift kick met him in the side of his head, sending him to the ground and dislodging his balance. Then, he felt his forearm being seized, Mega in turn feeling the same.

"Well, well, we've barely even started and both of you are already looking run down." Top Man smirked; eyes focused on the large body of water but a few yards away. "Maybe a good soak will do both of you some good!"

The world around them began spinning, it clear what Top Man was doing. And frankly, to their dismay, he lived up to his name quite well. Around and around and around they went, everything unable to be kept track of, the greenery and sky little more than meshing, colored blurs that assaulted their vision. Then, just as they both swore that their CPUs could take no more, both felt themselves flying, the world around them still spinning, spinning, spinning.

SPLASH!

Spark Man moved forward towards the body of water, charges surging with electricity. The acid rain only serving to further charge him up.

ZAP!

The lake was completely bathed in light, surges of electricity traveling throughout the small lake. No hollers or screams were heard, the Robot Master's intended targets underneath the waters. Yet from the brief outlines of the two figures, it was clear that they were more than affected by the continuous influx of power assaulting their systems, each and every bit and piece that composed of them.

"Enough!" Top Man called out. "Spark Man, fall back! There's no need to go and get yourself melted charging those two up!"

"Just a little more!" Spark Man said back. "I can do it! Trust me- "

WHAM!

Spark Man was sent forward, falling face first in the lake. Whilst he wasn't affected by the electric shocks that he had delivered to the lake, the blow had forced him to cease his endless distribution. The sharpened blade of a tomahawk had flown through the side of his head, the left quarter of it sliced off and falling into the shallow water by the edge. The spinning tomahawk flew back into the lake.

Top Man skated over to the fallen Robot Master, kneeling over to inspect the damage. He was still more than functioning well enough, yet when did either of those two have the time to-

"GAH!" a cry was heard as a blue armored android broke the surface; a tomahawk nestled in the cannon of his buster. Over his shoulder rested the robot he had copied the ability from, of whom appeared to be coming to. Noticing Top Man approaching, he blasted the tomahawk out again, forcing the Robot Master to back off, he performing a series of back flips to get out of its range. "Hey, come on. Come back to me." Mega Man pleaded, giving small slaps to Tomahawk Man's tanned face. Thankfully, this seemed to do the trick, the other machine's blue eyes opening.

"How did you…" the Native based robot began, though his partner answered for him.

"Shot it out when Top Man was giving us a little spin." Hearing the projectile coming back to him, the Blue Bomber quickly moved to the water's edge, Tomahawk beginning to gather his bearings, his body gaining back sensation and balance. The copied weapon went back to Mega Man, he looking to Tomahawk, of whom nodded back.

Rough start, yet all the better perhaps. At least now, one of their opposition was down. For now at least.

"You…You..!" Toad Man fumed, the effects of his acid rain dissipating. Now all those with him were giving him the stink eye.

"Well?" Top Man questioned, looking to the amphibian-based Robot Master, all the while tending to Spark Man. "Care to give another shot?"

"Only useful thing he's capable of." Dust Man huffed, giving a cough from the collection of filth he formerly expelled.

Toad Man furrowed his eyes, looking to the two androids that began approaching, stopping a few yards away and readying their weapons to aim and fire. "Oh yeah?" he snarled, readying himself as well, bending his knees and setting his eyes directly on the two adversaries. "Well how do you like this?!"

Bounding up high into the air, the Robot Master extended his right leg outward, aiming directly towards the two machines. Tomahawk and Mega leapt out of the way of the incoming kick, Toad Man in turn coming to widen his eyes in shock, this momentarily lapse in focus causing him to flip over and land directly in the mud, face first.

Great landing.

Raising himself up, Toad Man growled as he caught the sight of blue, he charging forward at the Blue Bomber. Only to have him dash out of the way. The frog-based robot turned in pursuit, only to come across Tomahawk, of whom he decided to lunge at. He could just tend to that blue dweeb afterward. The Native-based Robot Master readied himself, yet on the other side, he noticed Mega Man gesturing to him to wait. What for, he was unaware, yet he ultimately decided to obey.

How dare those three…well, Spark Man hadn't exactly said anything, yet Top and especially Dust Man had gone nonstop on how much of a difficulty he had been since their escape, or in Dust's words, 'dead weight'. Dead weight…dead weight! He was the one that suggested this place! And what a place it was! They had everything! Cover, space, deep watery depths, a contained, uninhabited and natural environment…what more could anyone ask for? It wasn't HIS fault that a little bit of grime got in some crevices and linings around the limbs! That could simply be dug out later! He'd show them though. He'd show them all! Now that they were on their…no, HIS ideal turf, he'd give these two a full on schooling on why they NEVER should've come here!

Mega Man motioned for the other robot to come forward.

Leaping upward again, Tomahawk Man slid underneath the other Robot Master, Toad Man whirling around to face him. Only to then barely dodge a whirling, bladed weapon just above his head. Turning to see Mega Man being the one who fired, the other robot charged forward, the blue robot in turn jumping upward, though this time, to Toad Man's surprise, Tomahawk Man took his place on the other side. Toad Man charged, only for the two to switch places. One jumping over him, and when he jumped, the other simply slid under. The two kept switching places with each other. Again, and again, and again, and again, and-

"GRRAGH!" Toad Man roared; his focus completely broken beyond repair at the moment. "THAT'S IT!" He puffed out his chest. "YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME?! HERE!" several capsules ejecting out of him. "HAVE IT ALL! LET IT RAIN- "

SLASH!

A blue blur above him went in the same direction the capsules containing the deadly vapor, said capsules seized mid air before their activation.

Toad Man would've jumped and intercepted the Blue Bomber, had his legs not been removed from him at that very moment.

SLASH!

Then his right arm, the limb landing by his side.

"What the-" he didn't get anything else out as he felt his arm being seized, his entire form lifted up off the ground and tossed upward akin to a saddlebag, the Robot Master turning round and round in the air until-

SPLASH!

Right in the center of the body of water. The capsules followed suit as well, exploding over the body of water. While it'd have no effect on Toad Man, his missing legs and arm would serve as enough of an obstacle for him to struggle in overcoming. And from the stream of bubbles that came to the surface in one place, it was clear that he wasn't exactly pleased.

"Well, well, well…" Top Man began, folding his arms. "You two are the worst guests ever."

Mega Man huffed, though given how things were looking now, he found himself smirking a little. 'Just like old times…' "That'd actually mean something if your hang out was nice. Frankly, your accommodations suck."

Dust Man pushed his way through, ivory fists clenched and eyes practically bulging out of their sockets. "You horrid, spiteful little….I'LL SHOW YOU 'SUCK'!" The nozzle of his large hose began revving up as if it were the engine of a car, and with one, mighty thrust, sent dozens upon dozens of compacted balls of hazard filled debris their way.

Mega and Tomahawk were forced to take cover, ducking and when the balls were being aimed lower, leaping upward and having to dash and leap by the cover given via a collection of nearby trees.

Top Man gazed towards the lake Toad Man currently resided in, then in the direction the two machines had gone in, it clear that he was deep in thought.

"What is it?" Spark Man inquired, Dust Man all the while continuing to fire away the built up and contained waste that infiltrated his systems. Despite the rage he was dishing out against his adversaries, the thought that all this was inside him made his metallic spine get a chill.

Top Man took a firm hold of Dust Man's shoulder, distracting the enraged Robot Master for a moment. "What good reason would you have to stop me now?" he questioned.

"The opportunity that's presented itself to us just now." Upon looking, indeed, it began to dawn on the other two. Before them lay, while not a sea, it was still quite a bit of trees and overgrown foliage. Foliage that, while not completely acquainted with, certainly knew it far better than those two.

"But," Spark Man interjected. "What about Toad Man?"

Top Man looked to the lake, a low sigh coming from him. "We can collect him later."

"Later?" the electricity wielding robot stated, shocked. "We can't just leave him!"

"And we're not. We're just leaving him for the time being."

"But he's one of our allies!" Spark Man argued. "He's the one that managed to navigate us throughout this landscape!"

"And right now, he's gotten his legs sliced off and tossed at the bottom of a lake!" Dust Man retorted. "Plus, he's a frog! I think he'll be fine for a short while!"

"Geez, what do you have up your tailpipe?"

"EVERYTHING!"

Both of them felt a fist make contact with their face, rendering them silent. Top Man continued to eye the thickened foliage. "They'll come back out soon." His top emitted a glow, orbs shooting to both of his palms, said orbs forming into tops. "And when they do…" he crossed his arms, the tops now spinning on the very tips of his fingers. "Toad Man may have some company. Only they won't be left functioning."

Note: Sorry Toad Man. But looking at your stats, it'd only fit that you're the first to go. Please give your input as that's the best motivator for faster updates! Thank you!
