"What are you doing all alone out here kid?" the merchant asked.
Silya was alone on the dirty streets of Coruscant. Maybe not so dirty but not like the cleaner streets of the upper levels.
"My father lets me roam these areas alone believing it is safer than any lower levels," Silya replied without looking at him.
The merchant raised an eyebrow, "And he lets you apply to random jobs?".
"Yes," she said, "As long as I'm comfortable with it."
The merchant perked up, "He a senator?".
Silya smiled, "Watch your tongue, he doesn't usually like your kind."
The merchant shut up but still stared at Silya weirdly.
"The shops are along these coordinates," the merchant said pointing to ten points on the holo map.
Silya nodded and climbed on to the speeder bike he had given.
"You gonna be good up there?" he asked.
Silya gave him the stink eye and rode away. She got a job a few days after she left the Temple. She hadn't gone to the Senate building or spoken with the Chancellor since then. She had instead, applied for five jobs and found a place to stay under a false name. She didn't know why she'd made the name false but she had a feeling that someone would try and visit her. She had used her money to pick out one new pair of clothes and she got herself new boots mostly because her old ones were torn apart. After all that, Silya finally applied for a job.
She went for two clothing stores, then three restaurants, then two hardware stores, and finally three hotels to finally get the job of a merchants delivery girl. It wasn't bad, she got her own speeder bike and enough money to buy a bigger one.
Meanwhile, she was dropping supplies to different stores. She was zooming through the skies and in a place, she'd only dreamed of being near.
She arrived at the first stop. After she had landed, a Dressellian walked out. He looked at Silya.
"Where'd Dilx go?" he asked, "Why'd are you here?".
"I'm his errand girl," she said, "I don't believe we've met."
The Dressellian squinted at her, "You've got guts for an errand girl." He picked out his supplies and walked back inside his. He left a few credits behind to pay Dilx and probably not Silya herself. So then Silya climbed back on her speeder and drove away.
She kept on traveling to tons of different stops until she arrived at the last. There was a Twi'lek running the place this time. He waved at her. He didn't question her at all but still started up a conversation.
"You are always welcome in this sector," he said.
Silya shrugged, "I'm a merchant, I'm allowed in any sector, and by the way, this isn't even from the Black Market. So, I have a warrant."
"Oh," he said, "Then I'm no criminal."
She left after he paid. She climbed on her speeder bike and then jumped.
"NO!" someone exclaimed, "I didn't do anything!". This part made Silya almost fall off her bike. Then the familiar voice of a clone spoke out.
"Sorry ma'am, but if I don't find a badge, then you're under arrest," he said.
Silya climbed off her bike and locked it onto the ground. She approached the voices carefully.
"Please!" the women yelled again, "I must've left it at home."
"I'm sorry ma'am but you're going to have to come with us."
Silya turned the corner and almost bumped into Commander Wolfe. She held back a gasp in surprise. The women nor the clones saw her luckily, but this lady didn't seem guilty at all.
"NO!" the women yelled, "I must've misplaced it please!".
Silya couldn't help but get involved suddenly, and she stepped out of her hiding place.
"Whoa, whoa," she said, "Commander Wolfe."
The clones and the women turned obviously surprised.
"What has this, innocent looking lady done?" she asked.
Commander Wolfe stumbled for words, "Uh, Captain? I thought that you left?".
Silya raised an eyebrow "So?".
He shook his head and gained control again, "This women was found near the gas tanks. We found her messing around with it."
The women gasped, "Yes, but I just work there!".
Commander Wolfe glared at her, "There is no evidence that you do work there because your badge is-".
"Misplaced!" the women exclaimed, "I wouldn't harm the tanks unless-".
"Unless you didn't work there," Silya finished, "Anyone who works at the tanks probably wears a uniform."
The clones suddenly perked up, "You're not wrong kid."
"You shouldn't have noticed that," the women growled.
They all heard a big boom that made the clones drop to the ground. Silya held her position but grunted, stumbling for balance. When everyone stood back up, the lady was gone.
"Where'd she go!" Commander Wolfe yelled, "See, this is why-".
"Look after my bike," Silya interrupted, "I know where she went."
Commander Wolfe seemed startled she had commanded him to do something, but he knew this would possibly be the only chance to catch this person.
"Alright," He said, "But if you don't catch her I'm going to have to arrest you instead."
Silya nodded and rushed past him jumping on to the roof tops and running east to where she could see a human shaped appearance. She rushed after them dodging objects on the floor. The person back-flipped down to the ground and started pushing people towards the ledge of the lower levels. Silya rushed after her grabbing victims that were being hurtled near the edge. She finally caught up to the woman who was staring down at the bottom less pit.
"Whoa!" Silya yelled, "Don't do it, being in prison is way worse than dying!".
The lady laughed, "I'm afraid you're wrong, there are much worse things than dying."
She pushed Silya away so that no one could use the force, and hurled herself off the edge just as Commander Wolfe arrived on her speeder bike.
"What the heck happened?" he asked helping Silya to her feet.
She raised her hands, "I don't know! She just committed suicide!".
Wolfe shook his head, "There could be more attacks soon and you were a part of this one. I'm afraid we'll have to take you in for interrogation."
Silya opened her mouth wide. She hadn't even done anything!.
"But-but-" she sighed, "Okay, let me just return this vehicle to my boss and I'll get to the Senate building or something."
"Fine," he replied.
"I didn't think you'd want to even help us after you left the Jedi Order," Admiral Tarkin said.
Silya shrugged in agreement, "We're one in the same."
She was in the penitentiary. It was like any other prison you could imagine. Electric barriers, steel doors, guards on every corner. Silya was overwhelmed. She felt like crying and hiding in a corner. Maybe that's what this place was all about. Silya sat in a small room where the mirrors were obviously windows. There was also a table in front of her and a chair on the other end. When Tarkin walked in, Silya explained to him everything that had happened. From the bomb to the fall. He didn't seem to like it, but he didn't seem to have a grudge against Silya at all.
"From what I can tell, this woman, who you didn't get the name of, messed with these gas tanks and made them explode?" Tarkin asked.
"Yes."
"Interesting, I wonder what that means..." Tarkin thought out loud.
Then suddenly, Commander Wolfe ran in through the room.
"Sir!" he exclaimed, "There's been a bombing at the Temple!".
Silya and Tarkin stared at him as if he was crazy. But the Admiral changed personalities and acted as if this happened every day.
"Well it was a pleasure to meet you Miss Alamak, thank you for coming," he said and walked out of the room calmly.
So Silya left to go on with her regular life but still in great shock.
