"Marrying Joe was a huge mistake...I'm not gonna make another one by letting you go from my life a second time".
Arizona looked into Callie's brown eyes and saw the sadness.
She shuffled over on the sofa nearer to where Callie was sitting and pulled her into her arms "I can't imagine what you have gone through the last few years and how it has affected you. "
Callie felt her throat get tight with emotion "It affected me...a lot...and I changed ...I'm not the same person I was five years ago...but I feel like I'm getting some of the old Callie back, and being around you is a big reason why".
Arizona squeezed Callie tighter as the Brunette continued talking "When we broke up it wasn't because we fell out of love for each other...and that to me made it harder...I didn't hate you Arizona...deep down I've always still cared about you...that's why I had to leave Seattle...it was too hard seeing you after we broke up".
"I was so sad when you left and I did a lot of soul searching...questioned my decision. Was I being stupid...too selfish..."
Callie smiled shaking her head "Arizona it was a big decision...you shouldn't go into having children unless you are really committed"
Arizona knew she was right, but it will still a really hard decision as she was so in love with Callie.
"I know...I see so many absent parents in the hospital with sick children. I mean they are there...but they are not really THERE if you know what I mean? I look at the tiny scared faces and all they want is to be held and told they will be OK, but their parents are too busy with their work, with their own lives...and I get so mad at them sometimes. Why have a child in the first place if you are not going to be there for them?"
Arizona paused to stem the anger bubbling in her before adding "I know it's not always so clear cut, and some children aren't planned as such...but for me...I knew I had a career I wanted to pursue and places I wanted to travel and it's just not something I ever pictured in my life".
"I knew you wanted a family Calliope and as much as I wanted you, I couldn't lie and I couldn't be the one that stopped you having children".
"I know that..." Callie replied
"Just because you can't have children of your own, it doesn't mean that you can't become a mother in another way...You must have thought about that Calliope?" Arizona pressed further. This had been the reason why they hadn't worked out the first time round and she needed to be sure that Callie wasn't going to turn round in a few years and the two of them be in the same position.
"Of course I did...but as the years went on, my priorities changed. I'm not going to lie and sit here and say I wouldn't have loved to have been a mother, but the point I'm trying to make is that I've seen that other things are just as important to me...if not more...my family, my career...you!"
Arizon felt a tear start to fall down her cheek and Callie softly brushed it away. "I mean it Arizona...I see a different life for me after what's happened, and that life is a happy one, regardless of the fact that it doesn't involve children...besides...I have the best niece in the world and I'm so lucky to have that."
She continued "I've learnt to appreciate what life throws at you and to grab what is important to you when it comes your way..."
"In our case...it's second time lucky...I really feel that..." Arizona saw the tears start to fall down Callie's cheek and let out a little laugh "fuck look at the pair of us...this is suppose to be a happy time..."
Callie let out a chuckle as she wiped away her tears with the back of her hand before leaning in to hug Callie.
"It is Arizona...it is a happy time...I'm sooo unbelievably happy...my chest feels tight with happiness.."
"Errr are you sure that's not a heart attack?" Arizona asked jokingly
"Shut up you fool.." Callie playfully pushed Arizona away.
"Just asking...because if it is... you don't need to worry...I'm an excellent doctor" Arizona laughed at her own joke, pleased to lighten the mood slightly.
There was still so much they needed to discuss, but it was hard to stay focused for too long when all she could think of was ripping that white fluffy dressing gown off the gorgeous Latina and fucking her again.
Arizona felt a flush of heat and her neck blush at the thought. Bitting her lower lip, her eyes unconsciously lowered to the gap in the gown through which one of Callie's breats was tantalising visible.
Callie didn't miss it "Dr Robbins...are you having naughty thoughts?" She asked raising one eyebrow in the direction of Arizona.
"Hell yeah! I haven't stopped since I saw you in Miami!" Arizona confessed, licking her lips and fixing Callie with a sexy smile.
Callie's face broke into a huge smile hearing the blondes confession.
"You Calliope Torres..." Arizona continued "...have always had the ability to turn me to jelly without even trying"
"Is that's right?" Callie smiled enjoying this line of conversation "How so?" pushing for a compliment.
"Oh my...where to start..." Arizona smiled back, dimples popping and eyes twinkling "Well from the first time I saw you it was your smile"
"I was crying!" Callie responded in reference to the first time they had met in the bathroom at Joe's.
"Uh huh...that was the first time we spoke...I'd seen you around the hospital before that and I may have done some digging on you. You know all this!" Arizona whined
Callie responded "yeah but it's nice to hear it again" laughing "carry on...how else do I turn you to jelly Dr Robbins"
"There...by doing that...saying my name in that voice" Arizona pulled Callie near and tugged the dressing gown off her shoulder and started planting gentle kisses along her collar bone and neck as she continued the list "your laugh fills the room with joy...your eyes melt me Calliope...when I look into them I feel so connected to you..." another kiss..."your body. OH MY GOD! Your body it's breathtaking"
Arizona ran her tongue up the side of Callie's neck and whispered softly into her ear "...the way you taste..." she tugged at Callie's earlobe with her mouth "the way your fingers feel inside me...the way your lips brush my..."
Arizona didn't get a chance to finish her sentence as Callie lips hit the blondes forcefully as she felt a familiar throbbing between her thighs. Unable to resist her any longer Callie pushed Arizona down onto the sofa, pulling the waistband of the gown at the same time, exposing Arizona's cream body

Arizona purred with a cheeky smile "I can see you are regaining some of your old tricks..." she added

Arizona took a sharp breath in as she closed her eyes and threw her head back in the sofa as her skin burst to life at Callie's touch.

"Crap!" Arizona turned to Callie and gave the bad news "it's Karev...he needs me...he wouldn't have asked unless it's urgent..."
"It's OK Arizona...we can go to the hospital together...I can hang out with Mark who is working today...come on let's go..." Callie said as the two doctors started getting their stuff together.
"I'm sorry" Arizona whispered "I'll make it up to you..." planting a kiss on the brunette's lips.
