In the bridal room Emily said, "any word from your parents"?, JJ said, "their flight was delayed so they might not make it at all", Emily said, "oh Jayje I'm so sorry to hear that". She sighed and said, "but they said that they would do everything they could to get here and I believe that they will".
Emily pulled her friend into a loving hug and said, "me to Jayje, me too", JJ sighed and closed her eyes sending up a silent prayer that her parents did indeed make it in time. She pulled away from Emily and said, "it's bad enough that Spences parents can't make it, his mom I can understand but his dad"?, Emily said, "how's Spencer taking it"?, JJ said, "he's okay with his dad not being there but we're recording the wedding so his mom can watch it".
Before Emily could open her mouth to speak their attention turned to the door where JJ's parents Sandy and Scott Jareau, she pulled them both into her arms as tears threatened to stream down her cheeks. Sandy pulled back and said, "oh no baby, don't cry, we don't want to ruin all of that hard work Emily and Penelope did for you".
JJ quickly wiped her eyes and Emily said, "you still look gorgeous", Scott said, "sorry we're so late honey but with the delay of our flight and traffic being the way it was today, we were afraid that we weren't going to make it at all". JJ said, "you're here now and that's all that matters" as she hugged her parents again.
Derek smiled as he kissed Penelope again, she reluctantly pulled away and said, "how's boy wonder doing"?, Derek laughed and said, "he's a nervous wreck, he's wondering if he's doing the right thing by getting married". Penelope said, "must be something in the water because Jayje is doing the same thing" and they both laughed.
Penelope said, "it does make you wonder something", he pulled her back into his arms and said, "what's that"?, she said, "if we were to get married would we be that nervous"?, Derek said, "I love you Penelope Grace Garcia and I have no doubts that we are going to get married, you are the woman that I want to spend the rest of my life with".
She felt her heart racing as he said, "I can see us getting married, having beautiful babies together and growing old together", she wiped the tears away that were streaming down her cheeks and said, "you sound pretty sure of yourself there handsome". He said, "that's because I am, I know how much I love you and how much you love me and we, baby girl, are destined to be together".
Penelope wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her forehead against his and said, "I think so too handsome, I can't imagine my life without you in it', causing him to grin as he claimed her lips with his in a passionate kiss. They were pulled from their kiss by the sound of Emily clearing her throat.
Derek grinned and said, "it must be time"?, Emily said, "sorry to interrupt but yeah it's time for us to get into our places", Penelope kissed Derek one final time and said, "I'll see you after the ceremony". Derek said, "count on it sweetness, count on it" as he turned around and headed into the front of the church.
