17. Chapter 17

Percy's POV

I had finished my training and headed towards my room. Just as I was about to open the door, someone tapped me in the back. I turned around and saw it was Piper. She seriously said, 'We need to talk'. I nodded and opened the door to my room and let her in. I went inside and locked the door. I sat down on a chair I had in my room and motioned for her to speak. She said, 'I heard what happened yesterday, in your room at night'. I was shocked but managed to keep a straight face. She then said, 'I want to know who it is you have a problem with'. I thought of what to tell her. I said, 'I don't think you should know'. She looked at me angrily and asked, 'Why?'. I said, 'My past is one of pain and suffering, and telling you would simply get you involved'. I looked at her and saw she calmed down a bit. She then said, 'Nero, we are in a relationship, we need to share with each other'. She moved closer to me and put her hand on my shoulder and said, 'Please'. I looked at her face and saw those eyes I couldn't resist'. I sighed and said, 'Fine'. She smiled and said, 'Go on then'. I took a deep breath and begun. I was born into a powerful heritage. My mother knew that from the start, but she tried her best to keep it as far away from me as she could, but when I became 12, an event happened that changed my life'. She looked at me with curiosity.

'I was attacked by one of the Furys. They blamed me, saying I took something, and even with training, I was able to defeat it, but it was with the help of a special sword. I didn't realise at the time, but the Mist covered up what I saw for the mortals there and I slowly regained my normal routine. It was during a trip to the beach with my mother that changed what I wanted to become. Me and my mother were attacked by the Minotaur and I managed to kill the Minotaur, but it cost a price. The Minotaur took my mother. I became unconscious after my battle, and was taken to a special camp, you could say. It was there that I found out I was a son of Poseidon'. Piper gasped as soon as I said this. She looked at me and she said, 'That means, it's you they were talking about, Percy Jackson'. I was surprised she realised sp quickly, but I nodded at what she said. After she calmed down, I explained what happened during my quest to find my mother and what happened in the next four quests. I stopped when we got to what happened before Annabeth cheated on me. I sighed and said, 'I spent a few months helping repair camp when my father told me of my brother. At first, I was excited to meet him, but when I did, I was disappointed. After a few days, I noticed that he was spreading rumours about me, but I didn't bother much, believing that the campers wouldn't believe him, but it turns out I was wrong. I went on a quest for Athena to gain her favour, but when I returned, I saw Annabeth and Ethan making out. After that, I left camp, and I was found by Vesta, Chione, Mars and Athena. They helped me move on a bit and after some harsh training, I came to camp'. I looked at her and saw her still in shock. I was about to get up when Piper ran towards me and wrapped her arms around me.

I was slightly shocked, but I hugged her back. When we separated, Piper said, 'I realise why you wanted to keep this a secret, and I am glad you told me'. I nodded and she hugged me again when we separated, she gave me a quick kiss. She then said, 'Well, we should go back, you have your quest to go to'. I nodded and we headed out of my room.

Leo's POV

Everyone but Piper and Nero were on the deck of the ship. After a minute or 2, they came up. Nero was the first to speak, and said, 'So, you all know what to do?'. He looked at each and everyone of us as we nodded. Then he said, 'We meet up in the ship in around 4 hours, or earlier if possible'. I nodded and saw that everyone nodded. He said, 'I will see you all soon'. Instead of going inside, he somehow climbed the main mast, and moved to the top. I suddenly heard the call of an eagle and looked around and saw an eagle circling the mast. Suddenly, Nero jumped off. I along with the other rushed forward to see him plumet, but what we saw surprised us. Nero was streamlining himself and was dropping at a super fast speed. As he reached the ground, suddenly, a blur of black rushed forward and took Nero with him. We all stood there shocked, but said nothing. After a few minutes, we recovered ourselves. Jason then said, 'Well, we best get going'.
