The True Killer of her Father / Granting Captain America and the Winter Soldier sanctuary:
T'Lilla sat alone in her quarters, lamenting over her previous failures to kill the Winter Soldier. Continuously she received calls on her Kimoyo beads, her mother and her brother begging her to come home. But she gently refused, telling them that the killer had to be brought to justice.
Unknowns to herself, she was allowing her heart to be consumed by vengeance.
She heard knocking and said: "Come in,"
Erik entered. "You okay your Majesty?"
T'Lilla nodded.
"Would you like some company?"
The queen nodded again. "I really would appreciate it,"
He came down and sat down opposite her.
"You're a good man Erik," T'Lilla said with a smile.
"You're a good woman," he answered back. "I'm sorry that Barnes still hasn't been apprehended,"
"I feel like I'm failing my country,"
"You could never fail anyone," Erik refused her doubts.
"Do you have any ideas on how to find him again? Could Stark be helpful?"
"He'll be on his way to the last prison. He's hoping to get information from the prisoners,"
"Why do I doubt they'd give in?"
"Because they're loyal, fighting for a stupid cause,"
T'Lilla was quiet for a minute. She leaned closer to Erik. "I'm going to follow Stark,"
"Why do you wish to follow him?"
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say he would search for Barnes and the Captain. This is my chance to find Barnes and apprehend him,"
"I know you want to avenge your father T'Lilla. But you're letting your anger consume you. Remember it wasn't just your father who lost his life. There are other lives that the Winter Soldier took. Let the CIA apprehend him,"
T'Lilla couldn't help but agree with him. Vengeance was a feeling that could turn dark if it consumes the vengeance seeker too much.
She remained quiet for a sec. Before Erik could say something else, he heard a sudden voice. "Stevens! Ross wishes to see you!"
"Excuse me for a moment your majesty," Erik requested. He left the room, leaving T'Lilla in her thoughts. She noticed that Tony was walking down the corridors. She furrowed her eyebrows.
She followed behind him quietly. She noticed he was heading towards an automatic helicopter outside. He was heading off towards the Raft prison. She needed this opportunity to follow him.
Heading back inside, she strapped on her suit in her private quarters. She heard footsteps coming forward and stiffened.
"You're going after him, aren't you?" Erik guessed correctly.
She turned to face him. "Erik, I need this chance. Please don't stop me,"
"I'm not going. I'll let you go after him on one condition. You only apprehend him and then you bring him to the CIA for questioning. Then I'll see to it that you can get your revenge,"
"Agreed,"
Erik escorted T'Lilla to a jet. "I'll tell Ross and let him you're bringing him over too,"
"Thank you Erik. I don't know how to repay you,"
"You've nothing to repay me for your Majesty,"
She gave him another sweet smile and she hopped into the jet. She tracked Stark's helicopter across the sea over to the Raft Prison. An hour passed and she noticed a helicopter taking off again. Tony had finished his visit to the prison. She suddenly noticed that he had taken off out of the helicopter in his iron man suit. He took off into the mist.
She followed behind him as quietly as she could. She followed across the sea, across Asia to Siberia, to the snowy mountains. She landed her jet on the outskirts on an old facility. She saw the Iron Man enter inside. She exited the pod and strapped on her helmet. She trod through the snow carefully and then entered through the open door.
She tiptoed through the stone corridors and saw the Iron Man consorting instead of attacking with Captain America and the Winter Soldier. He was a traitor. He had allied with these renegades behind the government's backs. They all had to be put behind bars.
Keep quiet, she pursued them over to a gigantic lair where there were frozen chambers where shot victims sat lifelessly inside. Just as she turned her face to look in on them, she saw another face behind a square of glass in the wall of a concrete wall.
"Given time…but then you never knew why you came,"
"You killed innocent people in Vienna just to bring us here?" Captain America questioned the man with rage.
T'Lilla felt shocked. All this time the Winter Soldier was innocent, and it was actually this man who had it, who had killed her father. For a second she felt stupid. He explained to the Captain that he was a Sokovian seeing revenge on the Avengers for how the Battle of Sokovia took away his family. He had sought to tear them apart. She witnessed the group of men watching a nearby video. A dark look then formed on Iron Man's face after a while as he glared at the Winter Soldier and then Captain America after she prevented him from stopping him. Then after a second, the Iron Man struck at Captain America.
She saw Helmet slip away from the window. She slipped away as well. She exited the building and tread through the snow up to the top. She heard the sound of a recorded message. Then it stopped. She stepped closer and saw the head of Helmet Zemo, the true killer. She leaned down, unclipping her helmet and placed it on the snow.
"I almost killed the wrong man who I thought murdered my father," T'Lilla snarled as she walked quietly towards Zemo.
"Hardly an innocent one," Zemo said as he deleted the voice message.
"Was this all you wanted? To see them rip each other apart like monsters?"
My father lived outside the city. I thought they would be safe there. My son…he could see the Iron Man from the Car Widow,"
"I told my wife, "Don't worry. They're fighting in the city. We're miles from harm." When the dust cleared, and the screaming stopped, it took me two days until I found their bodies. My father still holding my wife and son in his arms. And the Avengers? They went home. I knew I couldn't kill them. More powerful men than me have tried but if I could get them to kill each other…"
T'Lilla felt flabbergasted inside. Everything that had happened between the Avengers, what was currently happening in there with iron Man and Captain America, was what he intended.
"Your father's death was not intentional. I was told that he would
I'm sorry about him, he seemed a good man with a beautiful and dutiful daughter. You know I had no intention of hurting anyone. All I needed was a chance to get the Americans to turn on each other. Luckily a source came by and provided me with that opportunity,"
"Who would tell you such a thing that would allow you to kill innocent people?" T'Lilla asked.
"I couldn't tell you even if I could,"
"Vengeance has consumed you. It's consuming them," T'Lilla took a moment to consider everything that had happened. This isn't what her father would have wanted. "I will not let it consume me any longer," T'Lilla retracted her claws, "Justice will come soon enough,"
"Tell that to the dead," Zemo tried to commit suicide but T'Lilla blocked his gun with her well-protected hand before wrapping him into a chock-hold.
"The living are not done with you yet," She tied him up. She pulled the killer across the snow, picking up her helmet along the way. She dragged him to her jet. She put him inside the hold and activated the jet again.
As she flew across the sky, she pressed a screen and Erik's face appeared.
"Erik?"
"Your majesty. Got something?
"Yes. But not what you think it is. We were tricked. I have the real culprit here,"
"Who is he?"
"His name is Helmet Zemo from Sokovia. He set the bombing in Vienna and framed the Winter Soldiers. It was his plan all along to tear the Avengers apart. I'm bringing him back,"
"What about Barnes and the Captain? They have crimes to answer to,"
"I did not find them," T'Lilla lied. "It's turns out following Stark only led me to the real culprit. He'll be taken to the CIA for questioning. Tell Everett Ross of the news,"
"I will. Tell me everything about Zemo. What you found out,"
Erik marched straight away to Ross after the call ended.
"Ross!" he called, alerting him on his presence. "T'Lilla has caught the culprit. But not the Winter Soldier. She's found out that the killer was actually a Sokovian who wanted revenge on the Avengers for what happened to his family during the Battle last summer,"
Everett Ross turned to him. "What?"
"Somehow he tricked us into thinking the Winter Soldier was behind it. It was his goal to see the Avengers rip each other apart using that HYDRA assassin,"
"It does not disregard the Winter Soldier or the Captain for their crimes. Did she find them?"
"No,"
"And you believe her?" Everett somewhat suspected T'Lilla of lying.
"Every word for it," Erik approved.
Post Credit Scene:
Unknowns to them, T'Lilla secretly gave sanctuary to Captain America and the Winter Soldier in Wakanda. She knew that the scientists in her country would be able to rid the Winter Soldier of his HYRDA programming. But it would take time.
So the Winter Soldier suggested he'd be placed in an ice chamber so that he would cause no harm to anyone. T'Lilla accepted his request and assured him that her people would do what they could to help him.
She watched as Steve and Bucky said their final words to each other before Bucky went under ice once again.
T'Lilla walked to a huge window where Steve looked out as he hoped that his best friend would be fine.
"Thank you for this your majesty," Steve gratefully said to T'Lilla.
"Your friend and my father were both victims. If I can help one of them find peace, I must as well grant this to your friend. I owe it to him,"
"You know if they know he's here, they'll come for him,"
"Let them try, Captain," T'Lilla dared the whole world as they gazed outside.
They looked into the distance and spotted a huge Black Panther statue.
