The Tournament Part Three

"Good morning everyone, today we'll be getting the semi-finals underway!" Dave shouted out as the crowd began to roar out in celebration. "First off will be Ash Ketchum, coming all the way from Pallet Town in the Kanto region! And on the other corner stands Paul from Veilstone City!"

Ash walked out and gave Paul a friendly wave. "Let's give it all our best, eh Paul?"

Paul merely scoffed. "Don't worry about me, you should be worrying about yourself. Ursaring, stand by for battle!"

Ursaring burst onto the field, letting out a loud roar before slamming his feet into the ground.

"You ready for this, Pikachu?!"

"Pika!" Pikachu sprang forward, cheeks sparking with electricity as Ursaring lumbered over him.

Ash clenched his fists in wait, knowing that Ursaring was sure to start off with Hyper Beam or Bulldoze as that is how most of Paul's matches started and quickly ended when he used the bear Pokemon. However Paul's command surprised him greatly!

"Bulldoze!" Ursaring slammed his foot down as the ground began shaking, a powerful shock wave overwhelming poor Pikachu as he let out a cry of pain. Pikachu looked quite bruised up already which didn't look good, he wondered just how many badges Paul had under his belt as of that point.

"Volt Tackle!" Pikachu raced forward, chanting out as he charged towards Ursaring before ramming hard up against him! The bear Pokemon was pushed back, looking a bit worn out but it was going to take a lot to take him down!

"Hyper Beam!" Ursaring began charging up the yellow-orange energy beam before firing it straight down at Pikachu, an explosion resulted in dust and dirt raising up from the field before revealing Pikachu laying on his side in defeat as the crowd gasped, surprised that Pikachu was taken out so quickly!

"And in a surprising twist it turns out that Ursaring has managed to defeat Ash's strongest Pokemon while hardly lifting a finger! This doesn't bode well for Ash folks, can he manage a turn around?!"

"Dratini, I choose you!" The tiny serpent Pokemon appeared resulting in Paul raising his eyebrow.

"Maybe I was wrong about you, for a moment I actually thought you were worth my time but it looks like you just got lucky so far. Pathetic that you'd send a Pokemon like that against my Ursaring, why don't you forfeit to save us both the time?" Paul scoffed, resulting in Ash clenching his fists.

"Don't dis Dratini!" He growled out. "Dratini, Thunder Wave!"

Dratini fired off a wave of electricity at her opponent, resulting in Ursaring falling to his knees as his body sparked with electricity.

"Enough, finish this pest with another Hyper Beam!" Ursaring opened his mouth before gritting in pain as the Paralyze status was currently holding him back.

Dratini's tail glowed light blue before striking Ursaring, returning him to his ball as the orange monkey Pokemon that Paul often had appeared before Ash.

"Chim, Chimchar!"

"Hmp, consider yourself lucky that luck chose you to come out here. You better not fail me!" Paul threatened Chimchar who looked saddened at Paul's words before giving a determined expression as he looked towards Ash.

"Chimchar, the monkey Pokemon. Chimchar easily climbs the sheerest of walls and lives on mountain tops!"

Ash put away his Rotom Phone before looking towards Dratini.

"Agility, then follow up with Slam!"

"Flame Wheel, don't let it get you!"

Chimchar cast itself in flames before spinning towards Dratini, both Pokemon's blow met as Dratini cried out as the fiery flames touched his body. The serpent Pokemon pulling back while Chimchar was knocked to the ground due to Dratini slamming against him, the chimp Pokemon letting out a cry of distress but Paul ignored him.

"Flame Wheel again, show me your true power!" He threw out his arm as Chimchar ignited itself in flames and began racing towards Dratini, crashing into the serpent and pushing him back once more.

"Aqua Tail!" Dratini's tail became surrounded by swirling water as he lashed it out at Chimchar, the monkey Pokemon crying out in pain before coming to a collapse. Paul shook his head and returned Chimchar before growling at the ball.

"That was pathetic," He put the ball back onto his belt. "But a minor nuisance, I still have the advantage here. Drapion, stand by for battle-"

His attention was briefly diverted as a blue glow surrounded Dratini, his body growing longer and even more serpent-like while his skin became a darker blue coloring compared to his former baby blue color!

"Dragooo!" Dragonair cooed out, turning away from the battlefield before wrapping herself around Ash and squeezing him as if she were attempting to hug him!

Ash laughed before letting out a light hack as Dragonair began squeezing a bit too hard. "D-Dragonair... I-I can't breathe..." Dragonair let go and nuzzled him affectionately before diverting her attention back to Paul.

Paul seemed to change his mind, Drapion not having been sent out yet he was still allowed to use a different Pokemon for his third. "Froslass, stand by for battle!"

Ash got out his Rotom Phone in order to scan the new Pokemon.

"Frosslass, the snow land Pokemon. Legends in snowy regions say that a woman who was lost on an icy mountain was reborn as Froslass!"

"Well this got tricky," Ash gritted his teeth before returning Dragonair. Paul smirked and waited for Ash's move.

"Charmeleon, I choose you!"

"Chaaar!" The fire lizard burst out onto the field, looking quite upset that they took Pikachu out!

"Flamethrower!"

"Destiny Bond!" Froslass' eyes glowed purple before Froslass almost immediately collapsed to the ground as a result of the attack. A purple aura soon shined around Charmeleon before he fell over in defeat as well.

"I heard about your Charmeleon's power, I saw it first hand! I knew Froslass wouldn't last so I did what I had to do in order to set things up for my victory." Paul returned Froslass and spoke rather casually as if sacrificing his Pokemon for the greater good was something he did everyday.

"Y-You shouldn't do that, you should have faith in your Pokemon! That they can overcome whatever life throws at them-"

"Yet you returned Dragonair when I unleashed Froslass," Paul interrupted him.

"That's different!" Ash growled out as the two glared at one another.

"Um, gentlemen?" Dave spoke up nervously. "Care to continue?"

Paul and Ash gave each other a look that seemed to say 'This isn't over' before grabbing a hold of the Pokeball's containing their final Pokemon.

"Ursaring, stand by for battle!"

"Dragonair, I choose you!"

Ursaring burst out and roared while Dragonair calmly gazed back at the bear Pokemon.

"Hammer Arm!" Ursaring's arm glowed before the bear charged at Dragonair, lunging at Dragonair!

"Dodge and Wrap around him!" Dragonair cooed out, wrapping herself around Ursaring and squeezing him tightly as the bear choked out.

Paul clenched his fists before pointing downwards.

"Hyper Beam the ground!"

"Wait, what are you doing?" Ash asked though Paul didn't answer. Ursaring became blasting off into the sky like a rocket, taking Dragonair with him. Her grip on the bear Pokemon slipping as they rose further and further up into the air.

"Incredible, Paul's Ursaring is literally blasting off! It doesn't look like Dragonair can hold on for much longer folks but can Ursaring keep going?!"

Dragonair's grip soon slip, the serpent falling towards the ground before Ursaring stopped his attack and switching it midair as his arm glowed white, utilizing Hammer Arm as he slammed down atop of Dragonair, using the serpent to break his fall as they crashed to the ground, dust and dirt flying everywhere. For a moment it looked like it ended in a draw as both laid sprawled out on the dirt but eventually Ursaring slowly rose while Dave walked to inspect Dragonair before waving his flag.

"Dragonair is unable to battle, Paul and his Ursaring win!"

Paul returned Ursaring before turning and walking off the field without a word. Ash walked towards Dragonair before stroking her head with a calm look as a smile slowly crossed his face. "You did great, Dragonair. Return!"

Zach soon walked onto the field to take Ash's place, giving his friend a look of concern before Ash gave him a thumbs up. "I'll be fine, don't worry about me!" Ash reassured him, though he did feel a tinge of jealousy that Zach was getting to fight Benga and not him.

Benga grinned. "Oh yes, grandfather is gonna be so proud of me when I win this! I'll be just like him!" Benga grabbed a hold of the ball containing Bouffalant.

"Bouffalant, let's go!"

"Lucario, you're up!" Zach shouted for his best friend to take the field. Lucario jumped out and growled, glaring at Bouffalant as the buffalo began brushing his hooves against the dirt.

"Head Charge!"

"Block with Bone Rush!"

"Caaar!" Lucario retrieved his aura charged bone club, clashing it against Bouffalant's head as he charged at him, the two attacks clashing with Lucario being pushed back for a bit before eventually returning the favor as Bouffalant was now being pushed away instead! Eventually Bouffalant grew tired of pushing on and began breathing heavily.

"W-What?!" Benga stuttered before pointing forward. "How do you know his weakness?!"

Zach shook his head, rolling his eyes lightly. "I used to be exactly like you, you know. I was this huge Lance fanboy and insisted on copying his every training technique... then I realized that I had to be my own trainer, to do things different... that, and I've seen every match Cynthia's ever faced in. I know Alder's weakness as I've seen her beat him countless times! Now Lucario, Aura Sphere!"

The jackal clamped his paws together before blasting Bouffalant with the powerful sphere of aura energy, sending him flying before the buffalo landed on his side and uttered out a groan in defeat.

"Unbelievable, Lucario just beat Bouffalant by letting it wear itself out then finishing it with a singular attack! No doubt Benga will think twice about using him in the next round if he advances!" Dave shouted out.

"This isn't over, Latios let's go!" Benga shouted, tossing the ball containing Latios forward.

"Lucario, return." The jackal ran back to his trainers side while Zach calmly grabbed at a Pokeball at his belt, firmly gripping it. "I wanted this to be a fair competition so I originally had no intention of using her here but I thought I'd keep her around just in case. Let's go, Zeraora!"

A Pokeball was flung forward before bursting open as a yellow and black feline Pokemon stood in front of Zach, letting out a loud hiss as she stretched out her arms and leered at her opponent!

"What is that?!" Ash had heard of Latios before but never a Zeraora, it didn't even look familiar at all!

"Zeraora, the thunder clap Pokemon and a mythical Pokemon! It approaches its enemies at the speed of lightning, then tears them limb from limb with its sharp claws!"

Benga tapped his Mega Ring as Latios became engulfed in a pink light, the light soon fading to reveal Mega Latios once more as the Pokemon hovered in front of him.

"Agility!" Zach shouted out.

"Psychic!" Mega Latios' eyes lit up bright blue as he lifted up Zeraora, the feline letting out an annoyed hiss as she began being lifted up.

"Plasma Fists!" Zeraora let out a roar, breaking through the attack as her fists became surrounded in light blue electricity before slamming into the ground, sending a stream of blue electricity through the ground as Latios let out a cry of pain upon the electricity meeting his body and giving him quite the shock!

"Latios!" Benga shouted out, looking worried as he certainly wasn't expecting another legendary level Pokemon to be competing! "Dragon Pulse!"

Latios opened his mouth and began charging up the blue-green energy pulse before firing it off at Zeraora, though Zeraora was quite quick to dodge which was when Benga gulped as Zach pulled up his sleeve to reveal a Z-Power Ring! Zach activated the yellow crystal before moving in sync with his Pokemon as he let out a shout.

"Gigavolt Havoc!" Zeraora began gathering a large blue of light blue electricity in front of his fists before launching it at Latios with a punch! The move exploding upon impact and sent Latios flying before the Mega Evolution collapsed, the pink light fading to reveal Latios having reverted back to his normal form as the crowd cheered loudly upon seeing Benga being put into a corner.

Zach returned Zeraora however rather than keep using it. "I'll fight you fair for the next part, unless you've got another...?"

Benga shook his head before grabbing a ball and unleashing the contents within, causing Zach to tense up for a moment as a Dragonite stood across the field. He took a deep breath, his hand shaking as he grabbed at the ball containing his own Dragon.

"G-Goodra!" The slime dragon appeared and let out a cry.

"Hyper Beam!" Benga's Dragonite began charging up an orange-yellow energy beam, causing Zach to flashback to Lucario being horribly beaten before shaking his head as he clenched his fists.

"Bide!" Goodra stood firm, allowing itself to be pushed back as his body started glowing bright red. Benga clenched his fists as they both waited for Dragonite to recharge.

"Dragon Rush!" A blue dragon shaped energy surrounded Dragonite as he rushed towards Goodra before slamming against his body, shortly after that Goodra retaliated and unleashed the charged up attack from his Bide, blasting Dragonite and dishing out double the damage, leaving Goodra looking quite bruised and worn out from enduring those heavy attacks but Dragonite laid on the ground in defeat, eyes reduced to mere swirls now.

Zach returned Goodra before stepping forward and holding out his hand. "You did great, Benga. But you should train your Dragonite some more and not rely on legendary Pokemon, just because they're powerful doesn't mean they're unbeatable."

Benga let out a soft sigh before reaching out and shaking Zach's hand. "Just you wait, someday I'll beat my grandfather and we'll see each other at the real Pokemon World Tournament!"

"I look forward to it!" Zach smiled. Chloe looked at the defeated Dragonite's picture and smiled, knowing that Zach was completely over his losing to Claire now that he'd gotten to beat a Dragonite of some sort!

"Caaar!" Lucario fired off an Aura Sphere at Ursaring, resulting in the bear Pokemon to collapse as the screen showed Ursaring's picture darken alongside Drapion, Froslass, and Chimchar's as Paul was revealed to have lost the finals.

"We have a winner here folks," The crowd cheered loudly as Cynthia walked down onto the field with the tournament trophy in hand, the blonde smiled before handing it to Zach.

"You did a great job, I have no doubt you'll go far." She smiled warmly at him as he began to shake before a smile crossed his face as he was relieved at least one of his idols didn't think him a waste of space! Zach stared at the trophy for a moment before looking towards Cynthia's arms.

"D-Do you mind...? I-I'm a huge fan..." He laughed nervously as Cynthia giggled.

"I heard you, we all did." She placed the trophy down before allowing him to give her a hug, the blonde champion soon returning it as the crowd continued cheering. Cynthia then got out a marker and wrote on the trophy before smiling at him, kissing his forehead before walking off with him staring after all.

"Wow..."

"Caaar!" Lucario let out a teasing sounding coo before a smirk crossed the jackal's face.

"Y-Yes, if I see her again I'll be sure to introduce you to her Lucario if she allows it!" Lucario pumped his fist while letting out a happy growl.

Diantha soon walked onto the field before tapping the microphone.

"Excuse me everyone, but the sponsors have all decided who they want to pick as their newest representation. First up is Zach, whose swooped up as Aether Foundation's first and currently only representative!" Zach raised an eyebrow, surprised that nobody seemed to be fighting over the winner. He wondered what was up with that before shrugging it off as Lusamine walked out onto the field to greet him, the two soon walking off together while Lance continued.

He named off Cross and Paul, stating that the Devon Corp and Macro Cosmos took both of them. Paul looked up in surprise before shrugging.

"And last but not least... Silph and Lysandre seemed too damn stubborn to actually come to an agreement so this is the first time in history that anyone ever has more than one major sponsor as their sponsor!" Lance shouted out.

Ash looked confused. "But I came in fourth..? Why...?" He honestly hoped at least one major company would sponsor him yet here both Lysandre and Giovanni were, wanting to talk to him.

The two older men glared at each other.

"So..." Ash started, looking between them with a confused look. "Why is it that you two chose me and not Paul or Zach?"

Lysandre and Giovanni both turned pale as they looked at each other nervously.

"Er... your battling prowess is incredible!" Lysandre stated while Giovanni put up the better cover story.

"You got far with hardly any fully evolved Pokemon, not a single legendary or mythical, no Mega Evolution or Z-moves... you were incredible, my boy!" Giovanni clasped his hands together.

"Indeed," Lysandre nodded.

"But Silph Co wants to extend to you an offer," Giovanni began, hoping to get further in Ash's good graces. "We're giving you a ship and a crew to adventure the Orange Islands with during your summer vacation! You can choose to either relax or compete in the Orange League there, it's completely up to you!"

"Or you could come back to Kalos and I'll get you a Mega Ring..."

"He'll take the vacation!" Misty quickly shouted. Ash nodded.

"Sorry Mr. Lysandre, sir but like I told Giovanni, I don't take handouts. I want to earn my Mega Ring!" He turned to Giovanni and smiled. "That does sound lovely though, I look forward to competing in the Orange League!" And some time to relax would do both him and the girls some wonders, perhaps he should invite Brock and Alexa along too since the ship was big enough for it's own crew!

The TRio then let out a gasp as they received a text message.

"It's from da boss, open it!" Meowth shouted out before Jessie opened the Rotom Phone.

"He says we're to ferry the twerp around the Orange Island and do whatever he says for the next two months." Jessie stated.

"Seriously?!" James hung his head while Jessie merely shrugged.

"Think of it as a vacation, James!"

"That's right, we could use another one of those! Besides we sold out our entire inventory of snack and drinks, we can well afford one!" Meowth purred.

James looked away nervously before muttering. "How are they going to react if we find my fiancee there...?"

Lysandre narrowed his eyes at Giovanni before giving Ash a slip of paper. "Call me if you ever need any assistance, I'll send a new jacket with both our company logos on them soon for you to wear."

"Oh no you don't! I'm sending it!" Giovanni retorted. "Red is not Ash's color!"

"Nor is black!" Lysandre retaliated, referring to Giovanni's favorite color.

"Er... I'd like a blue and white jacket, if it's okay." Ash interrupted them, causing both to calm down before smiling at Ash as they tried to mask their inner personalities.

"Sure," They both nodded in agreement.

Lusamine had sat Zach down in her hotel room or rather temporary office. "Well then, I suppose you know why I picked you, right? Mr. Future Galar champion...?" As she said that, she ripped a hole into her tights where her lower lips were, before climbing on top of his lap to quickly sit down. "Thank you, everyone!" Zach smiled at all his friends while Scorbunny rushed forward and began eagerly eating away at a slice of cake while Lucario shook his head before walking forward alongside his trainer. "You all didn't have to do this,"

"Nonsense, you're our friend!" Raihan smiled at his rival before stuffing a plate full of cake and icecream into his hand. "Though you should consider yourself lucky that that Trip guy managed to outsmart me!"

"That's not hard..." Bea muttered before Raihan grew an annoyed tick mark, huffing before looking away. Bea then flashed Ash a wave as she noticed him though frowned when she noticed Lana approaching Ash.

"Hey,"

"Hey yourself," Ash turned to Lana before smiling. "I saw you during the tournament but you sort of disappeared after Cross beat you."

"Well I needed some time to think is all," Lana took a deep breath before revealing what was on her mind. "I'm... I'm transferring to Vermilion!"

"You are?!" Ash looked at her from shock as the girl nodded her head.

"Mhm, though seeing how it's practically the final day we won't see each other until the beginning of next school year." Lana frowned before Misty nudged Ash's arm and nodded her head.

"Er... would you like to travel the Orange Islands with me?" Ash offered, causing Lana's eyes to light up.

"Would I?!"

Misty smirked, knowing that Lana would make a great lover for Ash and that she practically guaranteed they'd hook up!

Ash looked around the room before spotting Cross already having his things packed up. "Cross, you're leaving already?" Cross nodded before giving Ash a light smile. "I'm going on my own little journey, see some places outside of Alola... but I'll see you in a few months." He waved before walking off.

"...wait, a few months? What did he mean?!" Though his attention was soon diverted as Bea dragged him out the door.

"Forget the party, forget Cross... let's just focus on you and me..." Bea wrapped her arms around Ash before pulling him in for an embrace as she locked lips with him, moaning excitedly against him before she eventually forced him to the ground as their clothes began flying off, Bea now naked and fully atop of Ash before slowly rising up and down upon him while uttering out a moan. Marnie followed them outside and followed their footprints before gasping at the sight, quickly hiding behind a tree and peeping as she wished that were her under there... she had to get Ash to invite her to the Orange Islands, that'd be the perfect opportunity to win him over to her!

And so the tournament ends, Lysandre and Giovanni are both Ash's sponsors. Cross and Lana revealed they'll be Ash's classmates soon and Ash is heading for the Orange Islands! Meaning that the Power of One will be adapted soon, and Ash will be participating in the Orange League, the place of his first major victory in the official canon! I wanted to remain faithful to that as I always loved the Orange League, what Pokemon will he and his friends catch there?

Lusamine and Cynthia are the final additions to Zach's harem, I don't plan on adding to it further. He's done; And yeah, Zach has a weakness for older women and especially blondes.. they're his kryptonite. :P

Bea is officially part of Ash's harem now and Marnie is getting eager
