So as always Read&Relax.
Chapter 18
~Robin's POV~
Ramero was insane from the beginning if he truly was going to hurt Robin he might have torn down the De Noir family piece by piece then go after Maria as a climax, the madman had been twisted to long to be logical. Maria forgetting him was the worst moments he'd felt
Pain was flaring in my leg and my left eye was still swollen shut but I was still memorizing every turn we made, I was starting to recognize where we were in Ramero's castle. Desperately searching for an escape route.
Even disoriented, being dragged on a hard rock floor, I saw that we were nearing Imala's cell.
If I could get a hold of her door I might be able to get a hold of her door to get the right angle on the monster, a hard kick to its eye could be all I can get in but if it works it could be worth it.
"Imala!"I shout. I need to get Imala's attention and get her to draw attention to her door, so I can get a hold of her door.
"Robin?"I could hear through the window.
"Imala, hit your door as hard as you can as much as you can." I was almost to her door and I was running out of time. "Now!"
A loud bang proved she heard me. The beast hesitated but kept walking. Imala hit the door which brought the beasts attention a little closer to it. Observing it closer and slowing down.
With aching muscles I pushed up, reaching for the door handle, my finger tips barely held on holding my body weight up. The monster now started growling and I looked directly in its eye, freezing me for a split second, it looked like Ramero's eye with red tinted on the outside.
I only had one chance for this to work. I didn't know if the monster would even be affected by it. Another bang jogged my arm that held the door. The beast looked away for a single moment but that was all I needed. I pulled up my free leg and kicked as hard as I could at the eye.
The beast dropped my other leg howling in pain. To the left of the door a loose stone had fallen out of the wall and I grabbed it and chucked it at the monster that had begun to growl ferociously at me.
My adrenaline had kicked in long before now while I dove for the rock to throw at the animal again, haphazardly; this time it hit its mass rather than the eye I was aiming for.
With another kick the beast shut it's eye, whimpered, and lay down as though it were hiding. I waited a few more moments unsure if this were a trick compared the mean-spirited monster that had dragged me from the woods to Ramero's castle.
With the same stone I used what was left of my adrenaline to break the lock of Imala's cell door.
"Get away from the door."I told her.
"Alright, I'm ready."Imala replied after a moment of shuffling.
With my shoulder I made one last hit against the door, bursting it open.
Heaving only a little Imala rushed me and we embraced each other like the long-lost friends that we were. I could feel her shaking as she whispered how scared that she would never leave this place.
Holding her tighter I told her. "We are going to get out of here."
She pulled back still holding on my arms. "Maria, we need to go now."
I nodded. Swallowing my breath, we ran out the door away from the mysterious beast. Taking every turn I remembered for escape.
I'm coming Maria.
~Maria's POV~
"We're fortunate the full moon is on this night otherwise I'd have to wait, and I do not feel like waiting anymore."Ramero's voice had changed from the charming dignified man she had seen earlier that evening to more of a slimy snake, muttering to himself rather than her. "This spell will only work here."
Her stomach coiled as she watched Ramero creating the spell with evil joy. They were someplace that grew more familiar by the moment but she wasn't seeing any flashes of memories from the past. Simply a familiar unease.
They were in a stone auditorium that overlooked the wild blue sea, the moon was still rising to it's full potential.
She was still wrapped up in the plants that were coiled around her from head to toe. No movement was possible and all she had was to watch Ramero combine his plan of turning her mind to hatred and then killing her. He was mumbling about magic presence.
Despite the hopeless situation Maria's mind still searched for a way out even as her body wanted to give up.
"Ah Ha!" Ramero shamelessly exclaimed in happiness with something working in the ingredients.
Is there anyone who would think to look for me here? In the middle of nowhere.
That's when she heard it, her only chance at hope letting out a deep throated bark far out in the woods.
Wrolf! I'm here!
Yes, this one was short but we are also very near the climax and i want to make sure i can get it all out.
