EMILIA

WE ran through the Ministry with Harry leading and me at the back making sure no one would attack us from behind. We entered an elevator and Harry pushed a button making the elevator move.

"Department of Mysteries," a voice called out once the elevator stopped.

Harry led us to a small hallway with an ominous black door at the end. "This is it," Harry spoke before he continued leading us towards the door.

We opened the door to see a dark large room with large shelves in rows with small spaces to walk through. Pulling out my wand from inside my right boot, my wrist flicked, and the tip lit up; allowing me to see through the almost pitch-black room. I heard a noise behind me which caused me to turn around to see the door moving to reveal more shelves behind it.

"Ninety-two. Ninety-three. Ninety-four. Ninety-five," Harry spoke out loud as he read the numbers on the side of the shelves.

He stopped at 95 before looking around in confusion. "He should be here," he yelled back to us which made my brows frown in confusion.

"Harry. It's got your name on it," Neville spoke as he looked at a name tag hanging off an orb.

Harry walked back over the rest of us and he grabbed the orb. He stared at it almost like he was listening to something…something that we couldn't hear.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps surround us which made me look at all sides of us to see a Death Eaters were now walking towards us.

"Harry," Hermione cried out making Harry rush to stand in front of the group which I followed with my wand raised towards the Death Eater and my other hand on my seraph blade.

"Where's Sirius?" Harry asked and a familiar but distorted voice spoke; "You know, you really should learn to tell the difference between dreams."

The Death Eater paused to remove his mask, reveal it was Lucius Malfoy before he continued; "And reality. You saw only what the Dark Lord wanted you to see. Now, hand me the prophecy."

"If you do anything to us, I'll break it," Harry threatened before an evil cackle echoed through the room.

"He knows how to play. Itty, bitty baby. Potter," Bellatrix Lestrange mocked as she walked to stand beside Lucius.

"Bellatrix Lestrange," Neville spoke in shock at seeing the woman who drove his parent to insanity.

"Neville Longbottom, is it? How's Mum and Dad?" Bellatrix asked with a large smirk which Neville snapped back; "Better, now they're about to be avenged."

I pushed Neville's raised arm down and stood in front of him; my eyes narrow at the two in front of us.

"Now, let's everybody just calm down... shall we? All we want is that prophecy," Lucius explained with his wand pointing towards the orb in Harry's hand.

"Why did Voldemort need me to come and get this?" Harry questioned which didn't sit well with Bellatrix.

"You dare speak his name? You filthy half-blood!" Bellatrix yelled; the crazy in her eyes growing.

"It's all right. He's just a curious lad, aren't you? Prophecies can only be retrieved by those about whom they are made. Which is lucky for you, really," as Lucius spoke, more Death Eaters appeared on all sides of us.

"Haven't you always wondered... what was the reason for the connection between you and the Dark Lord? Why he was unable to kill you... when you were just an infant? Don't you want to know the secret of your scar? All the answers are there, Potter, in your hand. All you have to do... is give it to me. Then I can show you everything," he now stood in front of Harry with his hand reached out to grab the orb.

"I've waited 14 years," Harry spoke making Lucius click his tongue before he spoke; "I know."

A smirk grew on my face when I realised Harry's plan; my wand pointing to Bellatrix and waiting for Harry's signal. "I guess I can wait a little longer. Now," Harry cried out and we all cried out; "Stupefy."

Although our spells were deflected, it gave us enough time to run. While the others went one way, I went another. My path was blocked by Bellatrix appear from black smoke. "Little baby cousin," she mocked as she raised her wand.

However, before she could cast her spell, my whip slid down from my wrist and I flicked it towards her, wrapped the coil around her neck. I gave her a sly smirk before pulling the whip down; knocking her head against the metal shelf. Bellatrix laid on the ground in a daze which allowed me to continue down the path, following the sounds of everyone else. They almost crash into me as our paths all lead to the same place. A trail of black smoke appeared down the end of the aisle. "Reducto!" Ginny cried out; sending the powerful spell towards the smoke.

The blast sent a gush of wind towards us before orbs began following off the shelves. "Get back to the door," Harry yelled as we began running away from the orbs.

We ran as fast as we could; turning a corner to see the door at the end of the aisle. We sprinted through the door; only to drop as there was no ground behind the door. We only fell for a few moments before we stopped several inches above the ground then lightly dropping with a small thud. I quickly rose to my feet and grabbed Ginny's hand to help her back onto hers.

"Department of Mysteries. They got that bit right, didn't they?" Ron commented once we were all back onto our feet.

I looked around the room and saw an arch which had a mist surrounding it. Voices were also coming from the arch. "The voices. Can you tell what they're saying?" Harry asked as he also looked up at the arch.

"There aren't any voices, Harry. Let's get out of here," Hermione urged while Luna and I stepped forward.

"I hear them too," we spoke in unison which led me to believe that only those who had seen death could hear them.

"Harry, it's just an empty archway. Please, Harry," Hermione argued when she noticed Harry wasn't moving.

"Get behind me," Harry demanded as he spun on his heels and pointed his wand towards the door that was high above us.

We all complied except for me who stood beside me. Trails of black smoke came towards us before knocking us off our feet. The smoke forced us down and I felt hands grab me and pull me away from the others.

The Death Eater that had grabbed me held both my arms behind my back so tightly that if I moved too much, the force would break my arms. Harry rose to his feet when the smoke disappeared as he now stood alone in the centre with Lucius walking towards him, laughing.

"Did you actually believe...or were you truly naive enough to think...that children stood a chance against us? I'll make this simple for you, Potter. Give me the prophecy now...or watch your friends die," Lucius threatened; his hand outreached to take the orb.

"Don't give it to him, Harry," Neville cried out making Bellatrix, who was holding him, shush and tap her wand against his neck.

Harry looked over to me as I shook my head; knowing that the Death Eaters will kill us either way. He looked down at the orb before looking back at Lucius and slowly reaching up and placing the orb into Lucius' outstretched hand.

Lucius looked at the orb in victory before a white light appeared behind him. He slowly spun on his heels to see my Dad now standing behind. "Get away from my godson," Dad snarled before punching Lucius across the face and sending him to the ground.

I felt almost proud because I was the one who taught Dad how to punch properly. Dad disappeared into white smoke as more trails of smoke appeared as well; knocking down those holding us. I felt arms wrapped around me and I was dragged behind a rock. My head turned to see Jonathon was the one who grabbed me. "I'm glad to see you," I spoke as we smiled towards each other.

He unsheathed his seraph blade before asking me; "Ready?"

I nodded; feeling my whip slid off my wrist before flicking out to the side for it to form into a staff. We rose to our feet and began attacking the Death Eaters when they weren't black smoke. "Expelliarmus!" I heard Harry cried out making me look towards the centre to see Dad and Harry fighting Lucius.

"Nice one, James," Dad cried out causing Harry to freeze as he watched Dad and Lucius continue to fight each other.

Dad disarmed Lucius before blasting him off his feet.

"Avada Kedavra," the familiar voice of Bellatrix cried out before a blast of green flew through the air.

"DAD!" I screamed when the flash green hit Dad in the chest.

He looked over at me and smiled fondly before falling back into the archway and disappearing into the mist. As I felt myself scream and my heart began to ache, another pain rushed through between the back of my shoulders as a Death Eater stabbed me.

Loud sobs echoed out of my mouth as I fell to my knees; having no strength to keep me standing. Arms wrapped around my shoulders before a stele ran over my healing rune, activating it and allowing the wound in my back to heal. "You're going to be ok," Jonathon's voice spoke as he held me.

Slowly, everything grew silent and my vision began to blur. My body began to feel numb. Dad was gone…killed by his own cousin. I was now an orphan.
