They left quickly. There was no warning to anyone, they just left two letters to their respective bosses stating that they had to leave suddenly. The chaos of the house was testament to that. Four days later Anna stayed the night at a Battered Women's shelter while Greg/Grant tried to get some answers as to who tried to kill them.

The next week was a blur. Sleeping, eating, getting new clothes, switching vehicles, but mostly driving. The monotony of staying ahead of their enemies was ongoing. At least they weren't tracked, because all was quiet.

Anna does not have the same healing abilities as her husband, but she still heals quicker than a regular human. Before the week was over she was completely healed. No one noticed this couple, they were completely ordinary.

However, the monotony was broken. When they got to San Francisco, there was a message for them. It gave a place and time. They did not know that it was a setup for their assasination. Which is how they got into the situation with Deathstroke.

And how I got here reflected Anna. How is this all going to end? Just waking up from the couch, she found that Kory had come back. Anna spoke, "I'm sorry, I guess I fell asleep."

Kory sat next to her, "It's alright. How are you feeling."

"I just relieved the events of how I got into this situation. Which makes it not so great." Nodding towards the rooms, "How are the kids?"

Shaking her head Kory responded, "They'll be alright. But I can't understand how they are always able to take the next thing."

"They can't." Anna responded. Then with a shrug of her shoulders, "They just want you to believe that they can." Looking out the window, "I can identify with that."

There was a silence as Anna looked out the window, as if seeing something beyond it. Something that only she could see. When the silence was clearly not going to be breached by Anna Kory asked, "What happened?"

Looking at the other woman, "I should go talk to Jason." Then Anna left the room. Kory nodded, of course she wouldn't be ready.

When Anna had gone down the hallway she realized that she could have answered the question. But the events were still too fresh for either her or Greg to speak freely. Shaking her head she continued down the hallway to silence.
