Chapter 21: The Frozen Palace.
Amber's POV:
"Amber!" A faint voice of someone calling my name woke me up.
"Ugh… my head hurts," I groaned slowly opening my eyes. A startled gasp escapes my mouth when I see Bloom hovering above me with a concerned look.
"Are you okay?" She asked holding out her hand for me. Taking her hand gratefully and lifting myself up, I nod at her. Except for a little headache nothing hurts.
"Thanks to the padded outfit," I grinned at her. "Are you fine?"
"Saved by fashion! Stella will love it," She added smiling herself. We giggled as we dusted sow off our clothes.
"We have to find them," I said looking around. There were walls covered with snow all around. It looked like a cave. "I think we should walk in," I suggested and Bloom nodded in agreement still looking at the place.
As we walked further, Bloom called out for someone. "Hello! Anybody here?" He voice echoed.
There was no reply so we continued walking. Suddenly, Bloom jumped and I looked at her confused. "Did you hear that?" She asked.
"Hear what?" I questioned looking around confused. I strained my ears to hear something but there was nothing. You won't be able to hear it. The voice which had irritated the hell out of me stated. But why? Because it not in your destiny to hear it!
"I know that voice!" Bloom murmured and walked further into the cave which didn't look so much like a cave. It had kind of walls with dusty wallpapers of some kind. What was weird was, I could sense a presence. But of whom? "I think I have been here before." She said touching a brown table like thing. It looked like a dining table, with candles and dirty cutlery on the it. What? Is she going insane?
"I think you hit your head hard Bloom. I-"
Bloom cut me off looking at me shocked. "Its so weird I remember this place! This was my… home!" Whaaaat? Now she is… wait! This can be her home. This is her home. The voice growled and I scowled. Did I ask you? "This is so amazing!" Bloom exclaimed a smile adorning her face. Now I understand why Bloom fell in the pit, because it was her destiny. But why did I? Because your destinies are connected to some point. Sure you both will have to go different ways in future but you both are connected. I just don't know what this stupid voice is speaking in my head and its giving me a headache. This voice was the reason Bloom lost her powers and I hate it for doing that. "This is Domino Royal Palace," Bloom snapped me out of my thoughts. "Too bad it's wrecked." She sighed sadly. I looked at her sadly and Pulled her in a hug.
Suddenly the place started vibrating really bad, as if an earthquake had occurred. Sharp shards of ice were falling from the roof. We quickly pulled away and dodged the sharp ice shards. A sudden gasp escaped my lips as a huge ice log fell infront of us cracking the ground. White snow particle covered the air and I quickly moved back but Bloom fell in a pit again. Why does she keep falling? I run towards her and sigh in relief when I see that she held on this time. I gave her a hand and pulled her up. "Thanks," She said as she dusted off the snow off her clothes.
"I think we should climb on further," I suggested pointing up to the crack through which light shone in.
"Yeah," Bloom replied.
Holding on to the rocky snowy wall and maintaining our balance, we climbed a little as we neared little light peeking down on us, we could now see the blue sky. As soon as we reached the top a smile took over my features as I saw my friends. Stella was transformed into her fairy form. "Look! It's them!" Flora pointed at us. "Hey Amber, Bloom."
"Hi," Stella greeted flying over us.
"I am so glad to see you," I smiled waving my hands at her, grinning brightly.
"Hey guys! Come down and check out my palace." Bloom said excitedly and all of them grinned agreeing to her.
"Let's try and melt the rest of the castle." Stella suggested once we reached at its entrance.
"I'll help you too." I joined. "I might not be much help but I can control a little bit of this cold weather." Summoning all the energy I could, I tried to make the atmosphere as warm as possible.
"Let me help too," Tecna added. Extending her hands she created a spell. "This power square function will multiply you power by itself," She explained as a vibrant green half circle net formed above Stella.
"Cool," We breathed as the intensity of Stella's heat increased.
"Now aren't you glad we took that mathematics in magic honors workshop together," Tecna smiled a half smile, still concentrating on her spell.
Stella continued to spread heat, and the snow continued to melt. "Uh… I took that?" She asked, confused, as she placed her hands on her hips.
Tecna laughed and placed her hands on her hips. "Yeah you did, but it was early and you slept a lot in class."
Once most of the snow was melted, Stella smiled happily and flew back to us, landing down in a crouch. Tecna followed. "You did it you guys!" Flora smiled happily.
"They really wrecked this place didn't they?" Bloom mumbled looking around sadly. I looked around the place my heart growing with sadness.
I shook my head and walked to her. "The Dragon Fire is not destroyed. I have a feeling and I know in your heart you have that too."
"You really think it's not destroyed?" Bloom asked tears of hope shining in her eyes and I gave her a soft smile.
"I know it is there waiting for you." I smiled at her.
"Look at this! It's a totally undamaged area." Tecna said shocked as she loomed over a large gap. Flora stood beside her, not too far away.
"It must have been protected by some very powerful magic." Flora assumed as we all joined them looking to the larger hole in the floor. True to Tecna's words not even a single thing was damaged.
"Like the Dragon Fire." Musa said a light going on in her head.
"Maybe you were right Amber, and it's still here." Bloom smiled hope blooming on her face.
"Let's hope nothing's lurking down here." Musa commented jumping down and I followed her suit and landed in a crouched position.
"Nothing looks out of place," I shrugged as I stood up and signaled for the other girls to join us and they too, one by one, jumped down.
"I don't detect any life forms in the area." Tecna informed, producing a green hologram of the area on her palms.
"I heard voices before." Bloom said as we started walking. Well there is always an annoying voice in my head. Hey I am not annoying! I am helping you! Yeah whatever.
Stella lightened up her scepter to give us some light, "They were probably trapped voices from the past," Stella guessed.
"Blooom… " Suddenly a soft familiar voice echoed through the walls.
A gasp escaped us and we started finding the source of the voice. "That doesn't sound like a trapped voice," I said.
"Ye…yeah," Stella shivered in fright. But somehow I knew this voice was not gonna hurt us.
"I know that voice…" Bloom said turning to us. "I think…" She added hesitantly.
"What's going on here Tecna?" Flora asked still looking around.
"We have got a visitor but it's not someone like us." Tecna stated as she held out her hand and recreated the hologram of castle.
"Welcome Bloom," We gasped as a bright light shone infront of our eyes. Bloom turned around to face the light too. "I've been waiting for you." From the bright light I could make out a light outline of a figure. The light slowly dimmed and a familiar figure stood or rather floated nfront of us.
"Daphne, my sister!" Bloom recognized her with amazement in her voice. I looked at her in shock, my mouth agape. Sister! SISTER! Bloom had a sister! And she didn't tell me! But- let's discuss this later.
"What a great outfit." Stella admired. Daphne wore an orange mask, and her hair was pulled up. She wore a long, flowing dress. She was almost transparent,
"Please," She disappeared, "we must hurry." Appearing again she turned around and gestured towards a hall. "Follow me," She requested and started moving forward in the hallway. She kept on fading and reappearing.
"She is the one from my dreams," Bloom whispered.
"Maybe she is like your fairy god mother." Stella suggested back in a whisper. Finally when we got over our shock started following Daphne. We followed her wordlessly as she kept on disappearing and then reappearing. I gasped in surprise and halted to a stop as she suddenly reappeared infront of us.
"Bloom," Daphne called as she turned around to face, "I know the Dragon Fire was stolen and you were right to come here to look for it." She finished and started floating forwards again.
"Will you show me where it is?" Bloom asked hopefully.
"Yes," She nodded, "But, understand that the flame is not hidden here in Domino." Daphne informed, her voice echoing slightly. What? Then why are we here? Just listen to her will you? The voice ordered. Why can't you tell me what she is going to say? That's because, it was decided that way. It growled back making me scowl.
"It is not?" Bloom's confused question snapped me back to the situation.
"No. But I have something to show you, it will help you," She said halting infront of two large fancy doors designed intricately. She swept her hands infront of the handles and the doors glowed before swinging open. "This is the royal treasure room. Everything in this room is yours Bloom, take a look." We walked to its entrance and a shocked gasp escaped us. The whole room was shining and there were so many royal things. It was absolutely beautiful! There were beautiful jewelries, like necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets and what not. This was almost every girl's dream room.
"This, is all mine?" Bloom asked still not coming in terms with reality.
"All yours…" Daphne replied floating above us in the air.
"Coool…" All of looked around still amazed by all the glory.
"This is quite astonishing!" Tecna gasped.
"Bloom can live large. This is what I call bling-bling." Musa grinned.
Stella grinned, joining Musa. "It's my kind of room," They laughed and I joined in.
"You really are a princess," I said as my laughter died down.
"Come here, Bloom." Daphne called as she floated over a set of stairs. She was pointing towards a glass case kept on a stand which stood in the middle of the room.
"What is it?" Bloom questioned curiously as she followed Daphne.
"This belongs to you as well." Daphne pointed at a very beautiful silver gold crown. Bloom's hand hovered over it looking at in amazement.
"I actually get a real crown?" Bloom asked turning towards Daphne.
"Yes," Daphne smiled. She glanced at me and I smiled at her. She floated towards me and gestured with her hands asking me to join Bloom, and I followed immediately. "Pick it up," Daphne said turning to Bloom again. "It will show you your story." Carefully lifting the glass dome, Bloom held up the crown in her hands. I looked at Daphne who gave me an encouraging smile.
Suddenly I felt different. It was if I was in Bloom's head. What the hell is happening? Just listen to what Daphne has to say. Humph! Why do I listen to YOU? "When you were born," Daphne started grabbing my attention, "Domino was still filled with pure magic." I smiled as I saw a tall castle surrounded with lush green grass and greenery looking as beautiful as anything could be. "But then the coven launched a sneak attack and destroyed the planet to take over it." But then everything started becoming dark, and three old wicked looking witches were floating in air. "They destroyed everything." Horror filled my nerves as I watched people run away from their attackers. "What was one of the most magical places in the universe became lifeless." The roof of the castle crumpled down. "The king called on me to save you and guard the Dragon Fire." Then I saw small crying child red fire circling around her protectively. Bloom! "I took you and the flame," Daphne was now holding Bloom and running away, escaping the witches, "And I brought you to the place where anyone would look last for a magical creature." She formed a small purple portal, obviously sending her to Earth. "I delivered you to Earth." She carefully put Bloom through the portal retracting her hands quickly and checking that no one saw her. "It was the place where your destiny was waiting. A destiny which would prepare and nurture you and one day return you to Domino, to reclaim your throne."
The vision ended, and I looked at Bloom who was holding her crown, tears flowing down her cheeks. "When Domino got destroyed," Daphne continued in a sad voice, "Eidolon, the planet connected to it and the most magical and powerful planet, got destroyed too. The dragon protecting the planet took place in the heart of the princess of the planet. But it is believed that the princess died in the chaos and so did the people on the planet. It is believed the second, and the most powerful Dragon disappeared taking all its power with itself as he had nowhere he could go now. It trusted only the newborn princess but she was dead. No one knows if the dragon is still alive or if his flame is still burning. And if it is, then the Dragon will do anything in his power to hide it, because if evil people come to know of it, the universe will be in danger. And if that power is used on Domino then…" She trailed off. Then what? "Anyway that is something we don't have to worry about now. One more thing Bloom, you were connected to the dead princess of Eidolon. You were lucky you didn't bond with her. Or else her death would have left a void in your heart. She was like your sister." Daphne added. And what does this all mean? The second Dragon disappearing! Ugh this is giving me a headache! I should focus on matters in hand.
"I can't believe this!" Bloom sobbed. "I was supposed to save the Dragon Fire but I couldn't. My sister my family everyone did so much to save it and I messed everything up." She crouched down on the floor tears flowing continuously. Immediately I moved to her and quickly wrapped her in a comforting hug. She clung to me as she cried on my shoulder.
Daphne's gaze softened and she moved towards Bloom, "Don't cry," She kept a hand on Bloom's shoulder. "It's not your fault. You did what you could." Bloom looked up to her and I freed her from the hug.
"Yeah?" Bloom asked sniffling.
"Yeah," I smiled.
"But all this happened so that I could protect the Dragon fire," Bloom wiped her tears with her arm, "It was my responsibility," She stood up, "And I so failed!" She took a step downwards and her eyes filled with tears again. "I let the witches take it. I didn't protect it at all!"
"It's not all you, I was useless to, but didn't you say we are going to find the Dragon Flame soon?" I questioned smiling at her, pushing the guilt down. This is not the time to feel guilty! Its time to cheer Bloom!
"You are right Ambs," Bloom agreed and turned to Daphne. "Tell me what to do Daphne! I will do anything to get the Dragon Fire back from the witches," Bloom declared a look of determination painting her face.
"You will get the Dragon Fire back. It belongs to you. It is your destiny. Look for it and you will find it." She brought her hands together, giving us a parting grin, and disappeared.
We sighed and started walking out of the Palace. "So, where are you supposed to look for it?" Stella asked totally confused, as we exited the palace.
"I don't know but I will look for it. I know I will find it." Bloom replied determined on her mission. "I know I will!" She turned to us, and I smiled. This Bloom is so much better!
"Off topic," Stella smiled, "But what about all the fabulous jewelry?" She asked biting her lips.
"I think Stella has an eye on one or two of them." Musa chuckled.
"Are you sure it's only one or two?" I asked winking at her and she chuckled along with me, whilst Stella huffed.
Bloom giggled, "Okay, after I reclaim the throne you can take your pick." She turned around and pumped her fists, "But for now, let's go and pay visit to those witches."
I was about to take a step when a loud thundering roar made me almost jump out of my skin! Oh please not again! I am tired of this. All of those mystery revelation and now we have to deal with this monster. I am surely ending up with a headache. "Uh oh! Our furry friend is back!" Stella sighed.
"And this time he brought company," Musa said referring to the blue and white creatures, with sharp claws and narrow blue eyes.
"Why? Doesn't he think he is big enough?" Tecna groaned.
"Those are Ice crabs." Bloom pointed.
"They can freeze fairies!" Flora informed and we all gulped. This is bad! "Then lets make crab cakes. I know a great recipe." Stella shouted.
"Let's get cooking girls." I smirked, gaining a little confidence, and we all transformed. I rose in the sky and I closed my eyes as my hair came together and a dark blue tube tie tied them. A blue-purple hair-band formed on my head parting my bangs. My eyes opened as I did a back flip, a shiny dark blue halter neck crop top covering my torso and a shiny blue pleated skirt forming below it, reaching my mid thigh. As I spread out my arms a string of magic sprinkles flew over to my arms and formed two blue forearm-length bands. Some of the magic sprinkle dropped on my legs and it formed my two red ankle-length heeled boots. I twirled as a small red heart formed in the center of my top and a red heart belt wrapped around my waist. Three small red beads formed on my forehead. And finally glittery blue and light purple wings fluttered out of my back completing my transformation.
"So what's the recipe?" I asked flying up in the air and looking at the army of ice crabs.
"You can either deep boil or fry them. But first you have to crush them." Stella stated.
"I can handle that with a sonic blast!" Musa declared. Spreading out her arms and bringing her legs up to her chest she blasted the crabs with her powerful sonic blast. The crabs lifted off the ground ready to be crushed.
"I can take care of the rest." Flora said confidently. She held out her palm and blew green seeds towards the ground. "Pterodactyl vines, Pulverize them." The vines grew out from the snow surface and grasped the crabs in a thigh hold. The vines tightened their grasp and crushed them. "They are ready Stella, turn on the heat."
Stella immediately got to work, spinning her scepter above her head and hitting it on the surface, spreading extreme heat and 'frying' the crabs. "One order of crab cakes coming right up." She grinned and laughed as the crabs destroyed. I smiled but it soon disappeared when I saw more of them coming.
"No way! There are more of them?" I gasped. "Let's try ice for ice and then shake them a little with some storm." I suggested. I flew up to a giant lot and got ready to attack. "Ice Darts!" Sharp darts of ice shot out of my palms one bay one piercing through many ice crabs. "Thunder Tornado," I spun around in the air as fast as I could, creating a huge tornado. I smiled in triumph as I watched the crabs getting carried away by the powerful tornado and getting destroyed. But there was little to celebrate, because these things just didn't end!
"I'll try digital deletion." Tecna piped in. She closed her fists, a green light surrounding it, and when she opened it, there was a small microchip kind of device in there. She flew over the crabs and dropped the chips on the. "Just attach the chips," And press delete!" She flew towards us as she blasted the creatures. "And off they go, to the great recycling bin in the sky!" She finished, flying back to my side. But the waves of them were never ending.
"Look there's more!" Flora gasped.
"There's far too many of them." Bloom said.
"Let's see if we can find cover in the castle." I said as I started flying towards the castle. "Come on girls, follow me," I said and the girls followed me. Bloom was running on her feet surprisingly keeping up with us.
"Those claws are nasty!" Stella commented. "They could really do some wardrobe damage."
"This is no time to worry about that," Bloom panted as she ran.
"One nip and you disappear," I added as I quickly flew through the doors of the castle.
"Close the gates!" Stella shouted once everyone was in, and I quickly pulled the heavy gates close, with the help of Flora.
"Let's attack them from above. They won't be able to reach us." I suggested. All of them nodded and we took off. Before continuing, I created a small protective shield around Bloom.
"Musa try a sound barrier." Bloom suggested from below us.
"Good idea." Musa replied, and lifted her flute playing a beautiful piece and successfully creating a purple barrier infront of the deadly creatures. I smiled as the ice crabs touched the barriers and screeched in pain.
Letting the others fight and I got on my own. I created a large tornado which took in ample amount of crabs and sent them to oblivion. "Never mess with Amber." I smirked. I watched in horror as one of the crabs was about to hit me but my reflexes worked on time. Dodging the creature on time I sent a ray of light burning it up. Others were doing well in keeping the crabs back until the huge beast suddenly appeared infront of Stella and Musa throwing them off guard. I watched in horror as the Monster attacked them with a ice spell throwing them back on the ground.
"Flora and Tecna quick, add your winx to mine." I ordered and we created a shield infront of us. But the monster was more powerful as it wiped us out. I groaned in pain as the impact of ground ran through my veins.
"Let's try plan B." Bloom suggested.
"What's plan B?" Tecna asked still panting.
Bloom stood up, us following her actions. "For you fly for me run." She said and the monster roared loudly.
"Let's go before he crushes us," I squealed and we took off in the hallways. I beat my wings, flying as fast I could. I gasped as I heard a loud noise of the door breaking. The monsters were in! I flew faster, but unfortunately we all separated. Bloom and I were together, Flora, Tecna and Stella went together and Musa was alone. "Thunder bolts," I smiled as two zigzag thunder bolts flew from my palm and attacked the monsters, crushing them. I turned to Bloom to help her but she was already kicking their butts. "Earth powers rock too," I smiled as I watched Bloom smack a crab with a stick.
We turned around and Bloom started to run, and well I flew. I still kept an eye on Bloom just in case. We glanced back, gasping at the amount of crabs following us. "I don't think Earth powers gonna get us outta this one!" We entered another room. "HERE THEY COME!" She shouted.
"Flora!" I smiled as Flora flew out of another hallway.
"I got it," Flora reassured turning around and casting a spell. "Pterodactyl Vine Barrier," Vines grew out of the ground and formed like a net, preventing the crabs from coming in. Musa, Stella and Tecna joined us and I smiled at them. We gasped as the crabs began to chew on the vines!
"They are eating it, maybe they are vegetarians," Musa offered as the crabs snapped the vines and started advancing towards us.
"Somehow I don't think so," Stella said her voice queering in nervousness. We backed up as the crabs started to surround us.
"I got it girls!" Flora furrowed her brows as she flew higher as she shot yellow-orange orbs at the ground infront of them. "These extractors' seeds will take 'em out like a bad blackhead." I watched with a smile as yellow giant flowers grew up from the ground and popped the crabs into their buds, destroying them and disappearing into the ground.
"Very efficient," Tecna praised very impressed.
"Thanks Tech." Flora grinned shyly.
"My turn." Tecna said creating a green web net around a beast and controlled it taking others too. Lifting it up, she passed it to Musa, who gave it a purple sparkly shot, which circled around the net, which explode in fireworks.
"Hey Stel, how about we combine our powers?" I asked Stella who shot another beam of light at a crab, and then nodded.
"Sure," She replied, as she flew high up. I flew next to her and she grunted as she shot her light beam at the crabs.
"Arrow of light," I combined my light power with hers, and the beam crashed into a large pile of crabs, making the crabs melt and die.
"Good team work guys!" I turned around to see Bloom giving us thumbs up. My smile dropped as I saw crab jumping towards her. I was ready to fly but before I could do anything, Prince Sky jumped in between and smashed the crabs with his sword.
"Oh Hey!" Bloom greeted.
"Hi Bloom," He smiled.
One by one all of the guys jumped in and greeted us. Seeing Dylan still made my heart twist painfully. There were so many emotions running through my veins. Anger, hurt, betrayal, sadness. I couldn't tell what emotion overpowered. What angered me the most was, I felt these emotions ad we weren't even dating! "Don't worry girls." I heard Brandon reassure. "We're here!"
"We will get ya out of here." Dylan glanced at me and ran off to fight the crabs. We watched as Brandon, Sky, Timmy and Dylan slaughtered the monsters. Well even though I hate Dylan, his help can be used. I was a little impressed as Dylan jumped towards a crab and swung his golden sword slaughtering the crab. Don't be impressed! He is a jerk!
Suddenly there was a loud rumbling sound. "Did anyone hear that?" Tecna asked looking around.
"What?" Brando asked stopping to fight, and looking confused.
A shadow loomed over us, and we gasped looking upwards at the ceiling. I shivered a little in fright as I looked at the monster blinking angrily through a hole. Rumbling with fury, he smashed the glass with his large hands, which descended towards us. I gasped as I flew away right in time, before it could crush me. Brandon reacted on time and started attacking his hands with his sword. Dylan joined in and the attacked his hands until he pulled it out. The monster roared even more loudly, his anger doubling.
"Oh no! How are we gonna defeat this?" Timmy asked mortified.
"Don't worry guys, we will save you," Stella reassured. She flew upwards and the winx started following her, well except for Bloom.
"Yeah, we will get you out of here," I smirked towards the guys and flew up towards the beast. We started attacking it with all our powers as he tried to attack us with his large hands.
"Hey, Tecna, why don't you use our world wide web to limit his movement." Bloom suggested from down.
"Great idea, I will trap him," Tecna said and created a huge green web around the creature successfully trapping it.
"I'll plant some blast bugs," Flora added planting some on the web. "Can you give those buds a little sunshine Stella?"
Stella was already working her magic. "I am already on it," Stella replied as she showered light onto the buds. They bloomed into beautiful orange flowers and settled themselves on the web.
"Let me give it a spin." I smirked. "Wind of fury," I attacked the web with strongest gust of wind making it spin in full force. "Musa, finish it off."
Musa happily complied and blast the web with her sonic blast. The monsters eyes widened as the web around it blasted and the monster fell on the ground with a loud rumbling thud. It groaned in pain and anger, as snow showered around us, due to it falling on the ground. We all cheered as we the monster started to disappear from head to toe. "Monster booty has been kicked!" Stella cheered.
"Yay!" We pumped our fists up laughing on our victory.
After our work was done we met the guys near their spaceship. "So whaddya say Stella? Friends?" Brandon asked opening his arms for her.
"Okay!" Stella agreed smiling and quickly hugging Brandon. I stood a little distance away from Dylan, not looking at him.
They smiled wider. "You look good," Brandon complimented awkwardly scratching the back of is head.
Tecna cleared her throat and asked the question which was bugging us for a long time. "So how did you manage to get to Domino?"
Sky explained us how they did some technological thing which I totally tuned out. All I could think about was the weird voice in my head. "I am just glad we were able to find you," Dylan smiled at me, snapping me out of my thoughts. I frowned at him and looked away.
"My boys here wouldn't stop," Brandon smiled clapping Sky and Dylan on their backs. "All they wanted to do was help Bloom and Amber." As if that will solve anything for me.
"That's so nice," Flora gushed. "And romantic," I held back the urge to scowl.
"Hold your horses Miss Cheery, no one said they are off the hook," Stella interrupted. Totally agreed. "Yet." I sighed as I began boarding the ship, others following me. I took a seat in the end away from everyone, and gazed out the window. I smiled as the ship slowly lifted in air and then took off. I always liked flying. Stella was happily napping in the front. Flora was napping too, her head resting on Musa's shoulder, who was playing a beautiful calming piece on her flute. Tecna was gazing out the window. I looked towards Bloom and a slow smile graced my face as I saw her and Sky reconcile. Now I can think about what Daphne said. The voice in my head hasn't returned after Daphne disappeared. It is as if it's there but refusing to speak. It did say that I can't use my actual powers on Domino. So does that mean… no that can't be possible…? It is the strongest and most powerful power in magical universe and I cannot own it. And the powers went to Princess of Eidolon who is dead! It's just my mind playing tricks. Daphne said it for just extra info and nothing else. Not everything can be about me!
"Hey what are you thinking?" I heard the voice, I didn't want to hear right now, speak behind me.
"None of your business," I snapped. Guilt over flowed me when I saw the hurt on Dylan's face. But it vanished as soon as it came.
"Will you let me explain, please?" He asked his violet eyes shining with hope. After a little thought I nodded. I just hope this is not the worst decision of my life! "Look what happened with Celeste, it's not her fault," I scowled at him. Looks like it is the worst decision.
"You know what, let it be. You are supporting her! I can't believe it!" I said exasperated. I was about to get up and walk away when he held my hand and pulled me back down. "Leave me, you…" I growled annoyed by him.
"Not until you hear me out," He said stubbornly. I tried to get away from his hold but it was tight. Ugh! He smirked when he saw my defeated expression. "Look Amber I can't let you blame someone innocent because I didn't tell you the truth. Celeste had no play n it. She doesn't even want to marry me. It's all set up by our parents." To say I was shocked was an understatement.
"Wh-at? But then you didn't even tell me you were a prince," I said folding my hands infront of my chest.
"I tried doing it, you know? Remember the day you called us for cleaning but I was interrupted by the Minotaur. Other times too we were interrupted and I never got the chance. I am really sorry Amber; I didn't mean to hurt you!" I looked in his guilty eyes as he left my wrist from his hold. Tears trailed down my cheeks as guilt stabbed my heart. "Hey, why are you crying?" Dylan asked titling my chin and wiping my tears away. Butterflies swarmed in my stomach as he did this sweet gesture.
"I just feel so bad for being so bad to Celeste. She is our roommate and we isolated her. I was just so jealous that the guy I like was going to marry her." My eyes widened when I realized what I said. A deep blush painted my cheeks as I saw his humor filled eyes.
"So you like me huh?" Dylan smirked going back to his arrogant self. I huffed and looked away still blushing about my slip. "Well that's good since I don't have to worry about my feelings not getting reciprocated. For a second I didn't understand what he said but when the words processed through my slow brain I grinned. I looked at him with wide eyes and a smile.
"Really?" I asked still not trusting my luck.
"Hmmm." He hummed pulling my cheeks. I swatted his hands away and hugged him. I am soo happy! I just hope that we defeat those horrible witches and our life goes back to normal!
