Chapter 17

Once his one eye opened, he observed his surroundings. Then the memories from last night resurfaced and his expression gained a frown. Happy was almost harmed because of his recklessness and he even chastised the poor feline out of anger. He remembered that he told Happy to return to their lodging while he would take a stroll. He ended up in the forest and reflected upon his actions as sleep overtook him. His ears then picked up movements. Once his attention was caught, he focused on the sound. It was coming from farther ahead to his left. He stood up from the tree he leaned on and dragged his feet towards the cause of the noise.
As he moved, he channeled magic through his ears to make the noise a little more clear. He then figured that noises of a solid object being hit and something being swung in the air. When he neared the location, he pulled out a stick from his pack and lit it. He walked into an area of the forest where a bunch of destroyed trees and branches surrounded a woman. She was holding a white-sheathed blade in her right hand. She was panting and contained a determined face.
"Wait isn't that-" his thought train was interrupted by the woman.
"How long are you going to stand there for?" the woman opened her mouth, catching the man off guard.
"Hmm, good morning to you as well," he replied. The woman turned and discovered the owner of the voice. Her eyes slightly widened and her cheeks scarcely reddened.
"You are the newbie from Fairy Tail," she questioned without any emotions in her voice.
"That is correct. And you are the woman who fought Yukino yesterday," he answered.
"I am Kagura Mikazuchi," she introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you, Kagura. I am Najotsu Joestar, also known as JoJo by some," he gave her a smile.
"If you don't mind, I have a request for you," she calmly spoke.
"And what may that be?" he requested with raised eyebrows.
"Would you like to spar with me? I see that you have a blade," she gestured towards his black rapier.
"Of course, I'd be glad to," he agreed before making his way over to the purple-haired female. He then unsheathed his blade and got into a stance. Kagura did the same thing except unsheathing her own katana.
"Why do you not take out blade?" JoJo inquired.
"If I do that, your life will cease by my sword. I will only unsheathe it when the right time comes," she explained to Najotsu, who gave a nod to her.
"Alright then, let's get started," he smiled and both of them began.
He swung from left to right in a vertical angle with the blade in his right hand, which Kagura dodged by hopping back. JoJo slashed again, this time being blocked by Kagura. Kagura initiated an attack after the block. Najotsu ducked underneath and spun 180 degrees to slash at Kagura's back. Kagura blocked again effortlessly. The spar continued like this for about half an hour until Kagura managed to knock JoJo's rapier off of his hand, leaving him defenseless. He just chuckled at his loss.
"You are very skilled, Kagura," grinned the artificial Joestar.
"T-Thank you," mumbled the female shyly.
"Huh? What's up with her?" pondered JoJo.
"You're also very proficient. I had to put in a ton of effort to best you," stated the Mermaid Heel mage.
"So mind telling me why you won't unsheathe your blade?" inquired Najotsu. Kagura's eyes hardened at his question, which JoJo took notice of.
"I will take it out when it is the right time," she answered but he just shook his head.
"I was asking when it would be the right time for you," he reiterated. She seemed a little hesitant but complied nonetheless.
"The only time Archenemy will be drawn from its scabbard is when I kill Jellal Fernandes," she revealed with nothing but rage. Najotsu's eyes widened at her reason but remembered that Jellal is a fugitive despite trying to atone for his sins.
"Jellal Fernandes, huh? Why?" Najotsu obtruded.
"You don't need to know. Our spar is over. Thank you for your assistance," Kagura coldly told him while beginning to leave, but her hand was grabbed by him.
"You know, I have encountered Jellal on my journey recently," JoJo informed the swordswoman, who widened her eyes at the statement. She turned her whole head to face him with a glare.
"Tell me where he is!" she demanded.
"I am sorry but as of now I have no whereabouts of hi-" he had to step back as Kagura swung her blade at him, although sheathed but with much greater force than before.
"Stop lying! I know you have clues!" she yelled while trying to land hits on him as he dodged.
"This is different. She is not focusing on her attacks like in our spar previously. This concludes that she is relying on her emotions instead of strategies this time." he mused while putting in the slight effort to dodge or block her attacks. When he decided that it was enough, he caught her blade with his right hand, halting her assaults. She tried to move her sword but JoJo's grip was too strong.
"It is best to let your emotions out before they keep stacking and explode at once," he suggested to the furious female.
"Don't tell me what to do! You don't know what happened! Do you know how much pain that man brought to my life!?" she screamed at him as tears were threatening to spill out of her ears. Her physical and emotional exhaustion finally gave in and she let go of her weapon. She was about to fall but JoJo quickly caught her in his arms. She struggled for a bit before she completely broke down.
"You can tell me what he did. I promise I won't tell a soul," he softly spoke to the sobbing woman.
"D-Do you know about his involvement in the T-Tower of Heaven seven years ago?" she asked him through her sobs. JoJo knew what she was talking about. Jellal himself shared his actions to him when they traveled together. He showed nothing but regret at what he did. Erza and Gray also gave their stories from their perspective. They articulated how he achieved Dragon Force, the ability to transform into a humanoid dragon, to defeat Jellal.
"Yes," he answered quietly.
"Did you know that he killed a man named S-Simon before he was defeated by Natsu D-Dragneel?" she questioned through her tears.
"Yes," he replied to the woman.
"S-Simon was my b-brother! He k-killed my brother with no remorse! W-When we were children, my brother was c-captured by Zeref cultists. I-I kept searching for him all those years u-until I found o-out that he-he..." she couldn't finish due to her deep anguish over losing her brother. JoJo also learned about this incident. He was surprised that Simon's sister was Kagura. He could understand why the woman wanted to end Jellal's life.
"Hey, look at me," he gently requested to her, which she complied with.
"I am deeply sorry for your loss. I will just tell you all of the facts regarding that event. Jellal was actually being manipulated by Ultear Milkovich when he committed those crimes. So I wouldn't say that he is not guilty but he wasn't the only one either. As of now, Jellal, Ultear, and another former dark mage named Meredy formed an independent guild called Crime Sorciere. They have been eliminating dark guild over the last couple of years. They have realized their mistakes and are trying to redeem themselves. I am not telling you not to avenge your brother, but I am just giving you the whole story before you continue on your quest," JoJo explained to Kagura, who was shocked at some of the facts.
"Since you told me something you wouldn't tell a stranger, I will do the same. If you have any questions, please ask me after I am done," Najotsu stated as Kagura was surprised by his claim. Najotsu didn't know why but he felt as if he could trust the woman with his life so he decided to follow his gut.
"My previous name was Natsu Dragneel. I lost my memories seven years ago right before Fairy Tail was attacked by Acnologia at Tenrou Island. Through a bizarre adventure, I made my way back to my guild as Najotsu Joestar about a week ago even though I still have not retained my memories," he dropped the bomb. To prove himself further, he turned his attention towards a tree and inhaled a deep breath.
"FIRE DRAGON'S ROAR!" a massive stream of flame escaped his mouth and incinerated the targeted tree. Kagura gaped at first but then realized that the man's words held no deceit. She began letting her tears out again before pulling the man into a tight embrace.
"I-I've always wanted to meet you! I wanted to thank you for bringing down Jellal, but I learned that you perished along with your comrades at Tenrou Island. T-Three months ago, I was excited that Fairy Tail's members returned but I was so joyless w-when I learned that you died. T-Thank you for what you did at the Tower of Heaven!" she cried into the crook of his neck. Najotsu just patted her back while his face held a smile.
"Alright, I think that's enough with the waterworks," he chuckled as they escaped each other's arms. Kagura's cheeks were the same color as Erza's hair.
"I-I promise I won't tell anyone about your identity. And I am grateful that I ran into you," she smiled at him.
"Thank you! Besides you, only the people at my guild and Crime Sorciere know about my identity," when her expression showed confusion, he opened his mouth again.
"They helped me reach Fairy Tail when I was looking for any connections that I had before...you know," he explained as Kagura gave an understanding nod.
"Thank you for everything, Natsu," she showed her appreciation.
"JoJo," he corrected.
"I am sorry. I have to get going for the Grand Magic Games. Please contact me after the tournament ends. I'd love to keep in touch," she gave him a bright smile.
"See ya! And good luck!" he called out as he walked back to his lodging.
When he entered the lodging, he discovered that a very furious woman was standing in front of him while she tapped her foot. She looked like she was ready to murder someone.
"Where were you?" Erza demanded.
"I just wanted some time to myself. Sorry if I worried you," he apologized to the redhead. She still had her glare but soon it transformed into a softer concerning look. She then hugged the man before speaking.
"You just came back to us. I was so worried! What if something happened to you?" she expressed her concern to the Joestar. He just chuckled before opening his mouth.
"I am capable of defending myself, ya know?" he patted her head. When she let go, her cheeks were crimson while she held a shy look. It soon changed into a frown when she noticed something. She picked something out of his bare shoulder and it turned out to be a strand of purple hair.
"What is this?" she held it out while pressing for the answer. JoJo began sweating bullets at her discovery.
"OH NO! What do I tell her?" he was trying to figure out an answer but luckily the topic was dodged since the other members of Team A plus the two Exceeds made their presence known.
"Good morning!" Lucy happily said to him.
"Good morning Big Brother JoJo!" Wendy gave him a bright smile.
"Good morning to you as well," he smiled back at them.
"Why did you follow Yukino last night?" asked Lucy. Erza's eyes widened at her question. JoJo cringed and before he could answer, someone already did it for him.
"Oh, he noticed that Yukino was really sad. Then he followed her to make her feel happy! Then he took her to a diner and fed her before attacking Sabertooth!" Happy spilled the beans. Najotsu was internally horrified at the cat's reply.
"You stupid feline!" he mentally shouted at the blue Exceed. When he observed his teammates, everyone held a stupefied look except Erza. Her face showed no emotions.
"What does he mean when he said that you "made her feel happy"?" she questioned with no emotions.
"O-Oh, Yukino was exiled from her guild. I just gave her some encouraging words and when she said she didn't have dinner yet, I figured that I should pay for her meal as a sorry for my rude behavior towards her. You can ask the cats and your fellow females in the room for confirmation," he nervously chuckled.
"We're not cats!" shouted Carla and Happy. When Erza turned to look at Lucy and Wendy, they nodded their heads while being surprised that Yukino was actually kicked out. She then faced JoJo again.
"Are you sure there was nothing else that happened?" Erza asked with a quiet voice.
"Yes," he answered without any hesitation. Erza seemed satisfied and gave him a small smile.
"Man, you still are reckless like you used to be, attacking a guild's master and giving him an injury" Gray sighed. Lucy and Wendy nervously giggled at his remark.
"Najotsu, why did you attack Sabertooth?" demanded the redheaded knight.
"Good grief…" groaned the Joestar.
After getting a whole lecture from Erza, the team was ready to participate in day three of the event. Najotsu was exhausted from Erza's speech. He couldn't blame her though, his actions from the previous night were pretty irresponsible. Erza volunteered to represent Fairy Tail Team A. For Team B, Cana was chosen to participate. JoJo noticed that she took the place of Mystogan, who was not present. When he asked about it, Wendy told him that a Magic Council member was a guest judge for today's events.
"Big Sis Erza, Good Luck!" a woman from Mermaid Heel called out to Erza, to which returned the smile.
"Who is that?" JoJo inquired.
"That's Millianna! She was rescued from false beliefs during the Tower of Heaven incident in the past. She is very close to Erza," Lucy answered him. It reminded him of the meeting with Kagura and then he looked at the swordswoman from Mermaid Heel. When she caught his gaze, her face reddened slightly and she gave him a smile, which he returned. When he looked back at Erza, she was frowning. JoJo didn't know why but he hoped that the reason would not be in the way of her concentration.
The challenge turned out to be Pandemonium. In a temple, a hundred monsters resided. They were ranked from rank D to rank S. There were 50 D-class, 30 C-class, 15 B-class, 4 A-class, and 1 S-class monster in the temple. The S-class monster was on par with the 10 Wizard Saints, slightly shocking JoJo. Each participant could choose the number of monsters they wanted to battle. If the player can defeat the number of monsters they chose to fight, then they will get the same amount of points as the number of monsters they chose. Once the first competitor was done, then the next one will be able to choose however many they wanted to battle from the remaining monsters.
The contest would end when there were no monsters left or when all of the players' magic level reached 0. JoJo was excited about the upcoming challenge. It would help him observe the other participants and take notes in their abilities. The players then drew a lot to choose who would go first. Luckily, Erza ended up with the first spot. What she stated next though left everyone speechless.
"I will go up against all of the hundred monsters," she declared.
"Is she out of her mind!? And she calls me reckless? Even I wouldn't do that unless we were in the last place!" Team A was ranked 6th in terms of points so Najotsu had no idea why Erza wanted to face all of them at once.
The pumpkin-headed host warned her about taking on all of them might be too much for her, but she was stubborn enough to stick with her choice. When the monsters appeared after Erza entered the temple, she began her slaughter. She was taking down the monsters from left to right effortlessly. As the skill level of the monsters increased, she showed some fatigue but kept fighting on no matter what. She struggled her way to defeat the S-class monster and defeated all of the monsters for the challenge.
Nobody said a word. It was so silent that the sound of a pin dropping could be heard by everyone present in Domas Flau. The silence was soon broken by a Fairy Tail mage.
"OHHHH MY GOOOODDDDD!" yelled the gaping Joestar while both of his hands were at his head. The people nearby him held onto their ears, feeling as if their eardrums were demolished by Najotsu's shout.
"UNREAL! Fairy Tail Team A's Erza Scarlet dominates and takes a massive victory! She gets 10 points for her team!" the announcer shouted through the loudspeaker. Then everyone in the crowd and some of the other participants began applauding and cheering for the female knight. Najotsu and the rest of the team went down to congratulate her.
"Oi, fight me afterward!" Gray demanded but the joy in his face was evident.
"I was so moved!" Lucy smiled brightly.
"You're so strong…" Wendy stated.
"Calm down, we haven't won yet," Erza replied with a smile. She was caught off guard when two hands grabbed her shoulders. When she turned around, it turned out to be Najotsu. She was blushing but soon was baffled when a golden aura surrounded her body and all of her bruises and wounds started to vanish. After a moment, all of her mini injuries were gone.
"Even I wouldn't have been crazy enough to do what you did. You are amazing," he grinned at her.
"T-Thank you," she mumbled as her cheeks took on a red hue.
To rank the rest of the players, the pumpkin man brought out a device called Magic Power Finder. The rank of the other teams would depend on the score that the players get after hitting the device. Team A was about to leave but JoJo's hand was grabbed from behind. He rotated his head to see Cana holding it.
"If I win this, we're going on a date!" she grinned at him. JoJo groaned inwardly since he didn't want to be in the same situation as the previous night. His thoughts were interrupted as his other hand was grabbed by someone else.
"No! We've already planned to have dinner together! Right, JoJo?" Erza glared at Cana while holding onto his other hand.
"I didn't ask for this!" he mused as his cheeks were bright crimson.
"Umm, we can worry about your dates later after we finish this," the host declared. This caused both of the females to let him go but their glares never went away.
When the new contest began, Millianna from Mermaid Heel went first. She got a score of 365. Next was the Quatro Puppies mage and then the Blue Pegasus mage. They got 124 and 95 respectively. And then was the Raven Tail mage's turn. He only got a score of 4. JoJo was confused as to why it was so low. He concluded that they wanted to hide their strength of something akin to that. And then came Orga from Sabertooth. He managed to get a score of 3825. Everyone was caught off guard with such a high score. They were even more shocked when Jura from the Lamia scale got a score over the double of Orga's, an 8544.
Najotsu let out a sigh of relief. He hoped that Cana got a high score but to him, it was clear that Jura would be the winner. It wasn't as if he didn't like spending time with her. He just didn't want to sit through her speech of misery again. Maybe if she didn't drink so much then it would be more enjoyable. He then noticed Cana taking off her shirt. He then noticed a mark on her right arm that he never remembered her having. She then prepared to attack the device.
"GATHER! FAIRY GUIDING RIVER OF LIGHT! SHINE! TO DESTROY THE FANGS OF EVIL! FAIRY GLITTER!" a massive bright beam exploded from Cana's tattooed arm into the device. After the dust cleared, the machine was busted, with the scoreboard showing a score of 9999. Everybody's jaw dropped at the scene.
Najotsu was amazed at Cana's performance. He never thought that she would be able to get a higher score than one of Ten Wizard Saints. He then paled when he remembered her promise before the challenge. When he looked at Erza, she seemed joyous but there was a slight twitch in her eye. He just sighed at the female's antics. Now Fairy Tail Team A was in third place with 24 points in total with Sabertooth taking the spot behind them with the same amount of points. Fairy Tail Team B managed to go from last place to the sixth rank.
The one on one battles began a little after the contests. The first match was Millianna against Quatro Puppies' Semas, a huge man. The battle came to an end quickly when Millianna used her tubes to tie him up and leave him defenseless. Then the clash between Rufus from Sabertooth and Eve from Blue Pegasus started. Eve began with his Snow Magic attacks. Rufus played around for a bit until he used his Memory Magic to set the whole ground on fire, thus winning the battle. JoJo narrowed his eyes at the mage. So far, this guy would be the most troublesome due to the versatility his expertise contains.
Next up was the B team's Laxus against Alexei from Raven Tail. He enhanced his hearing in order to listen to their conversation. Right from the start of the battle, Laxus was being thrown around like a ragdoll. Everyone was stunned at Alexei's strength. Laxus couldn't even lift a finger before getting hit. What was more confusing for JoJo was that he couldn't even hear a sound. Not even the sound of Laxus getting slammed into the ground. His suspicions grew right from that moment.
He then looked at the rest of the team members from Raven Tail. They were also located in the waiting area. He couldn't figure out what was happening. Suddenly, he noticed that the rest of the team members were not moving or talking. In fact, they had the same expressions as the ones he saw in the beginning. It took him a moment to realize what may be happening. Maybe some sort of illusion was cast.
Before he could inform the officials about his observations, the air began to distort around the battlefield. When it stopped, Laxus was shown standing while crossing his arm. In front of him were all of the mages from Raven Tail sprawled around. Alexei's mask was off and it turned out to be the master of Raven Tail.
"So that's what happened, huh?" thought the Joestar as Raven Tail's guild members were being escorted by the soldiers of the Crocus.
"Raven Tail has been disqualified. Their entrance to the Grand Magic Games has been annulled for the next three years!" Lola announced to the crowd. When Laxus was making his way back to his teammate, JoJo stopped him.
"I am impressed! You took out their whole guild by yourself," he grinned at him.
"That's right. Better watch out when I come for you," Laxus smirked at him before continuing on his way.
The fourth match for the third day was going to be between Wendy and Sherria from Lamia Scale. Najotsu gave the girl a pat in her head and wished her good luck before she left. When both of the girls tripped on their way to the battlefield, it was evident that they were really clumsy. Najotsu just sweatdropped at that fact.
Wendy initiated the battle when she sent a torrent of wind at Sherria. Sherria responded by doing the same thing, canceling out each other's attacks. The only difference was that Sherria's wind attack was dark compared to Wendy's transparent one. She then used her black wind to send Wendy into the air but Wendy retaliated with her own wind enhanced hook. Wendy then let out a Sky Dragon's Roar but it was met with Sherria's own Sky God's Bellow. Wendy's attack was outmatched against Sherria's and now she was barely standing while panting heavily. JoJo noticed that his fellow guild members and teammates were astonished at Sherria's ability.
"Umm, guys, what's going on?" a baffled JoJo inquired to his teammates.
"That girl from Lamia Scale, she is using God Slayer Magic, Magic that kills Gods. That's an Ancient Spell and a type of Lost Magic, which is rare nowadays. Generally, God Slayer's magic is superior to a Dragon Slayer's. Specifically, she seems to be a Sky God Slayer, being the perfect opponent for Wendy," explained Mira as the rest of Team B joined Team A to view the battle between the slayers.
"Ability to kill Gods!? That's neat!" JoJo was impressed at Sherria's abilities. He still believed in Wendy even if she was at a disadvantage. Wendy was now inhaling a huge amount of air for her next attack. Sherria followed the same course of action as well.
"SECRET DRAGON TECHNIQUE! SHATTERING LIGHT: SKY DRILL!" a barrier of wind surrounded both of the girls. Then it targetted the Lamia Scale mage and once the attack was through, she sported injuries. Some of her clothing was torn and she too was panting. However, she stood up, visibly fine and unharmed a little bit later. Worry for Wendy's wellbeing grew withing Fairy Tail. Najotsu was clenching both of his fists as he watched his fellow Dragon Slayer fight.
"You know it's ok to give up sometimes, right?" Sherria told the bluenette.
"No! I'm here to fight for my guild and my friends, so I am not giving up! Unless I'm no longer moving, please come at me with everything you've got!" Wendy demanded with nothing but determination on her face. JoJo smiled at her resolve and so did the rest of the Fairy Tail members.
"Alright then, I'll defeat you with the power of love!" black winds began to take the form of wings around Sheria. She then sent the attack at Wendy with full speed. However, Wendy was not hit by it. She was in the same positions as before, so she didn't dodge it either.
"She...missed?" Najotsu whispered with bafflement.
"Wendy can't heal herself like the God Slayer. She can, however, energize anyone she wanted with her magic. Since that God Slayer could only heal her injuries but not recover from her fatigue," Carla explained to the confused mages around her. Then the truth became clear to them.
"She cured her opponent's physical strength! This way, the momentum of her attack was effected! Amazing strategy, Wendy!" Najotsu was really impressed with Wendy's tactics. Not many would be able to come up with that plan in such a short time or under this heavy pressure.
After that moment, the two girls began trading blows. If one kicked her opponent at her side, the other would return the attack. There was no magic involved this time. It was pure physical clash between the Sky Magic users. They continued their clash until the announcer informed that time was out. This resulted in a tie between Sherria and Wendy. Each of them was rewarded with 5 points for their respective teams. JoJo couldn't help but smile at Wendy's strong will. The two girls even became friends in the end. Everyone in the audience had to smile at their actions.
"I'm proud of you!" he grinned at her and patted her head once she reached her teammates.
"Thank you, Big Brother JoJo!" she gave him a bright smile. This concluded day three for the tournament. Fairy Tail Team A was in 5th place with 29 points. Team B was a spot above them with 30 points. Sabertooth now had the lead with 34 points.
Tonight, the guild partied harder than ever. With Erza, Cana, Laxus, and Wendy's astounding performances, they couldn't help have a good time. Gajeel was rolling on the barrels with Gray and Romeo joining him. Cana, Erza, Mira, and Lisanna were having a glaring contest with each other. To satisfy both of the women, JoJo agreed to spend time with both Cana and Erza. They still weren't happy with his decision. To make the matters worse, Mira and Lisanna joined them, much to the other two women's frustration. Some of the males sent looks of envy and jealousy at the Joestar while many just sweatdropped at the females' actions.
JoJo was still waiting for the news about the dark magic. Jellal hasn't shown up yet. He then thought about Raven Tail. They were detained by the officials but would be released in a few hours. While pondering about today's events, his right arm suddenly began to feel weird. It was as if his arm was trying to move on its own but wasn't able to. Out of nowhere, breathing became difficult for him. The girls stopped their argument and looked at the man in concern. As soon as Najotsu got up, he collapsed and began wheezing while grabbing onto his chest. This alerted the rest of the occupants in the bar. Many rushed at him to figure out what was wrong. His world soon became dark as his eyelids closed.
When he opened his eyes, observed his surroundings. He had no idea where he was until he saw Elfman on a bed next to his and Evergreen with her head laid on the resting man's chest, sleeping like Elfman.
"Najotsu!" he was soon pulled into a hug by someone. It took him a moment to realize where he was.
"L-Lisanna?" he quietly uttered.
"We were so worried! What happened?" she cried into his chest. He just patted her head, trying to calm her down.
"It's ok, I'm completely fine now. I don't know what happened either," he answered with a small smile. After she let go of him, although with tears left in her eyes. He soon felt tiny arms pull him into an embrace.
"Big Brother JoJo! I'm so glad! I-I thought that you...you…" Wendy couldn't finish due to her breaking down.
"Hey, enough with the waterworks today!" he demanded. Her tears stopped a little later but she still sniffled.
"Thanks, guys. I'm Najotsu Joestar and I can't die that easily!" he grinned at them, drawing small smiles from both of the females. He then noticed Happy sleeping on his lap.
"Oh, he was here the whole time with you as well. The others left because they had to get ready for tomorrow's events. I was going to sub in for you in the Grand Magic Games. And before you ask, you were out for a little over two hours," Lisanna informed him. JoJo nodded and began getting off of his bed. They two females were confused before he opened his mouth again.
"No need," he spoke before lighting a cigarette and putting it in his mouth, " I am gonna go out for a walk," he stated.
"Wait, you need to rest!" Lisanna pleaded.
"No worries, I'm completely fine now, can't you see?" the girls noticed that he didn't really want to wait anymore.
"Alright," Wendy hesitantly said. JoJo nodded and left the infirmary. He got out on the streets and began thinking.
"What the hell was that? Why did my arm feel like that? It was as if someone else had control over it. Wait, this is Jonathan Joestar's arm. Don't tell me…" he paled at some of his theories. He soon put them in the back of his mind and continued on his way. He went to the lodging of Raven Tail and asked the guard when they left. He replied that they left just moments ago. JoJo thanked him and immediately enhanced his senses of hearing and smell. His nose caught the scent of salt and noises of whimpering and he quickly followed that route. He finally discovered his target.
Flare was on the ground, tears flowing freely through her eyes and her body shaking. She sported many bruises and cuts. Surrounding her were Ivan, Nalpudding, and Kurohebi. The three men stared her down while crossing their arms.
"P-Pease...N-No more," she begged them. Before she could get a response, a golden gust of wind caught the men off guard and sent them flying. When she looked to where the attack came from, her eyes widened.
"I would've had to wait two more days for this but God listened to my prayers I guess," Najotsu stated emotionlessly with his rapier out. He then approached the three males of Raven Tail. Nalpudding and Kurohebi quickly got in front of Ivan. Nalpudding quickly assembled spikes around his arms while Kurohebi gathered sand.
"Where is the other member of your team?" JoJo demanded but they attacked him in response. JoJo hopped back before taking out his gun.
"HAMON PRISON!" a massive golden bubble engulfed Kurohebi's sand attack and stopped its motion, making in ineffective. Kurohebi was shocked at the counter and before he knew it, a slash in his chest caused his blood to spray out, knocking him out of the fight. Nalpudding couldn't believe it either. He then glared at the Joestar and rushed at him.
"NEEDLE BLAST!" Nalpudding extended both of his spiked arms and flew at Najotsu. Najotsu then manifested Hamon in his right hand while enveloping fire with his left hand. He then brought both of his hands together. The fire and Hamon combined to make bright golden flames with specks of orange flames in there. Nalpudding got close right when Najotsu combined his powers.
"FIRE DRAGON'S HAMMER OVERDRIVE!" he brought his arms upwards and brought his attack down on Nalpudding's head, crushing it and putting him out of the clash as well. He then glared at Ivan, who prepared for his own attack.
"SHIKIGAMI TORRENT!" a torrent of paper dolls shot towards JoJo. The huge torrent then transformed into many mini torrents and some of them changed their directions and targetted him from either side. JoJo took out his gun and pointed it upwards.
"HAMON BARRIER!" another huge golden bubble was shot upwards and then it exploded into several bubbles, which surrounded every part of his body, thus leaving him unscathed from Ivan's attack. Ivan's eyes widened and fear got into him as the Joestar walked towards the guild master.
"You have caused our guild much trouble and you are going to get your punishment for it. Right at this moment!" he stopped right before Ivan and DNA appeared beside the Fire Dragon Slayer. Flare was the only one who saw the Stand materialize, which caused her to gape and widen her eyes.
"BURO!BUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBUROBURO!" the humanoid figure yelled out as it sent a barrage of fists in lightspeed at the unaware mage. Ivan's whole body was mangled and broken with blood surrounding it.
"Your internal organs have been aged rapidly. Your lifespan decreased by at least 70%. This is your punishment for trying to harm my family." Najotsu glared at the man, who couldn't even respond. He then switched his gaze towards the female of the guild. Fear took over her face once her eyes made contact with his and she began crawling back. JoJo reached her anyways and she was whimpering again.
"D-Don't hurt m-me, p-please. I-I won't tell anyone!" she pleaded. When he grabbed her shoulders, she prepared for the attack and closed her eyes. To her surprise, however, she felt as if some of her physical pain were vanishing. When she opened her eyes, she was shocked at the fact that almost all of her injuries were gone.
"R-Rainbow hair…" she whispered.
"After the Grand Magic Games end, I want you to go to Magnolia and look for Fairy Tail's guild. Once you reach it, look for Lucy Heartfilia and apologize to her. And then do whatever you want, I don't care. Got it?" Najotsu demanded and she just nodded her head.
"T-Thank you," she mumbled. JoJo just grunted and started making his way back to his team's lodging. Ever since he got to Crocus, tonight was the only time that he felt satisfied.
