Mandie, Celia, Joe, and Johnathan walked down the attic stairs and through all the hallways and other staircases in the
house until they reached the parlor.
"Oh, I almost forgot! I need to get something from my room upstairs," Celia suddenly exclaimed. "Will you help me, Johnathan?"
"Alright," Johnathan replied with surprise.
"We'll meeet y'all there in a few minutes," Celia said, as her and Johnathan began to make their way back up the stairs.
"Alright," Joe called out after them, then he turned back to look at Mandie.
"It's right across the street," Mandie said quietly.
Then Joe nodded and opened the front door. Mandie walked out and Joe followed down the walkway to the gate.
They walked across the street to the graveyard there and made their way through the numerous gravestones to a certain one
situated around the back.
Mandie knelt softly down on the green grass and tears filled her eyes.
"I... I am so sorry. I miss you," Mandie's voice cracked. Joe looked down at her and then knelt down beside her and wrapped
both his arms around her. Mandie laid her head against Joe's chest and let the tears flow.
After a few minutes Mandie pulled away and wiped her tears. Joe let her go and gazed deeply into her face. Mandie cleared her
throat and said, "I am sorry. I guess I... lost it."
Joe grinned and replied, "There's nothing to be sorry about, you have every right to cry."
Mandie smiled back softly and said, "Well, where could it be?"
"We could just... look all around the stone and feel of it?" Joe suggested.
"Alright," Mandie agreed.
Mandie and Joe began to feel all around and on the gravestone. Mandie suddenly felt a little click when she felt of
a certain part on the stone. She gasped softly and tapped Joe's arm.
"Joe! I think I found something!" She exclaimed. Joe turned around and looked at her for a moment before placing his hand
where hers was and pressing down. They heard another click.
Joe looked at Mandie and grinned, "I think you're right!"
Mandie smiled and Joe began to press harder until the stone fell through, revealing that the gravestone was hollow.
Mandie's eyes opened wide. Joe reached his hand inside and felt around. He pulled out an envelope and a paper.
He handed them to Mandie who took them eagerly. First she looked at the paper.
"It's.. it's a hymn," Mandie said in surprise. Joe took the paper from her and looked at it.
"It is," Joe replied.
Next Mandie opened the envelope and read out loud what the paper inside said:

Clue Seven:

Ding dong.
Ding dong.
Bells ringing.
Early in the morning.
Gather to.
The holy place.
Singing songs.
Hearing about.
His love and grace
Ding dong.
Ding dong.
Read the song.
Where are you?

"I think it's the church," Mandie said. Joe nodded his head and helped Mandie stand up.
"Let's regroup with Celia and Johnathan back at the house. We can discuss it then," Mandie said, leaning on her crutch.
"Alright. It's strange that they never came and joined us," Joe agreed, scrunching his brown eyes.
"They just probably forgot or something," Mandie concluded.
Joe nodded his head and opened the gate which led to the walkway up to the house.
They walked up the porch steps and Joe opened the front door for Mandie. Mandie walked in with Joe right at her heels.
They made their way up the stairs and stopped outside Celia's room door. Joe knocked lightly.
Celia immediately opened it and said, "Back so soon?"
"Yes, we found it," Mandie replied. Then she thought of something, "Celia, I thought you had to get something?"
Celia shuffled her feet nervously and looked at Johnathan, who had walked over to them from the other side of the room.
"Oh, ummmm. Apparently Celia forgot she really had nothing to get at all. Soo, yeah," Johanthan said.
"Yeah, that," Celia put in, giggling nervously.
Mandie rolled her eyes, she sensed something else was afoot, but she decided it was best to let it go for now.
"So, what did the clue say? Where did you all find it?" Johnathan asked.
Mandie handed him the clue, "It was inside my brother's gravestone."
Celia raised her eyebrows and peeked over at the clue Johanthan was holding.
"So, the church?" Johnathan concluded, handing the clue back to Mandie.
Mandie nodded her head, "I think so."
"We will have to wait until church this Sunday to look," Celia said dejectedly.
"Yeah, but I suppose it will be good to take a break," Mandie mumbled, even though she didn't really mean it.
"We better head downstairs," Joe said.
The others nodded and the four of them walked down the stairs...

That night Mandie woke up with a start. She'd had the same dream. Someone was dragging her to a lake and there was someone
in the middle. Mandie took in deep breaths and blew them out.
'Calm down Mandie. Calm down,' she said to herself.
Suddenly Mandie heard something from the other side of her room. Mandie held her breath and listened. She cocked her head
to the side and tried to peer into the darkness. Then she saw something, or someone.
She tried to look a little harder and then she saw two dark eyes looking at her next to her wardrobe.
Mandie's breath caught in her throat. 'Someone's in my room!'

What do y'all think of this chapter? I hope it's not too boring and short, sort of like the one yesterday:(

It seems like my chapters have been getting shorter and shorter as time goes on. Or sometimes a little longer, and then short:(

Oh well, I suppose whatever comes out of my head;p
