"Wow," Piper said. She stared up at the mansion in front of her. Piper was no stranger to huge houses. Her father lived in one, and he had taken her to a few of his fancy parties. None of those house owners had anything on the Avenicci family. The mansion itself looked as long and wide as Camp Half-Blood was.

"It looked a lot smaller in the blueprints," Reyna began. Piper glanced at Reyna. The pirate was staring out the window of the limousine. Piper gently wiped away some of the blood that had trickled out of Reyna's nose. "Thanks."

"No problem," Piper said. She still couldn't get the image of Reyna just collapsing out of her head. It had been so sudden and unexpected, and then, blood starting falling from her nose and mouth. Thankfully, none of the blood had gotten on her dress shirt. "Are you sure that you'll be fine?"

"I am," Reyna said tensely. Piper frowned, and the limousine door opened. She slowly got out and stared at the entrance to the mansion. The stairs seemed to be made of marble and lead ten feet up towards the kind of doors she would expect to see on Mount Olympus. They were fifteen feet tall and impossible for any mortal to open.

Reyna got out behind Piper and wrapped an arm around her. She pulled Piper close. Piper felt how tense the pirate was, and she wrapped one arm around Reyna's waist. Two men were waiting for them. The larger of the men spoke, "Invitations."

Hylla had gotten out behind them. She tossed two invitations at the men's feet and spoke, "The Avenicci family better be grateful that we took the time out of our day to visit this shit hole."

"Captain Hylla Ramirez-Arellano," a woman greeted. She walked down the steps and smiled at them. The dress she wore was much larger than her and looked like it was going to consume her. It was covered in feathers and was completely white. "And Quartermaster Reyna Ramirez-Arellano. We are honored to have the two of you here."

"I thought this was suppose to be a mansion," Reyna commented. She pulled Piper closer to herself. Piper rested her head on Reyna's chest and felt how fast Reyna's heart was beating.

"It's cute," Piper said softly. "Like a dollhouse."

The woman frowned and spoke, "I did not realize that pirates knew what a true mansion looked like."

"They're our favorite place to raid," Hylla commented. She looked around. "There isn't too far from the water."

"Babe, you said that we wouldn't talk of stealing tonight," Isabella said. She turned and kissed Hylla. "Besides, I can't wait to have local alcohol. The foreign stuff gives me a headache."

"Allow me to lead you inside," the woman said. She turned sharply and started to walk up the stairs. Reyna led Piper up the stairs.

"Just stay by my side okay. These people are crazy," Reyna whispered.

"I trust you," Piper whispered back, and she looked up at Reyna. There was a look of concern in Reyna's eyes. "It's going to be fine."

Reyna nodded slightly, and they stepped into a large room. Piper's jaw almost dropped. She was suppose to act unimpressed, but this place was gigantic. The walls were fifty feet tall and covered in all kinds of paintings. Vases dotted the floors making a maze that one had to carefully walk through. There was a few spots where it looked like a vase should be, but there was just blood stains.

They left the main foyer behind and walked down a long hallway. This hallway was full of portraits of the Avenicci family members. The woman gave a small speech about each person, and Isabella made crass comments about each and every one. Hylla chimed in as well. Reyna was silent though and kept glancing at Piper.

When they made it into another hall, Piper couldn't hold back her gasp. It was one gigantic room with glass stained windows and banners hanging from everywhere. Well dressed men and women lingered about. All of them gave off an evil vibe that Piper didn't quite like.

One side of the room had a fifty foot long table with every inch covered with food. Another table near it held every kind of drink. Servers darted in between the party goers. Piper had no clue how Jason and Nico were going to handle sneaking inside. They had been dropped off a couple of blocks away. Nico thought they could sneak in as servers, and Jason thought they could fly in. They would have to make some kind of compromise.

"Enjoy the party," the woman said, and she walked away. Hylla let out a sigh and looked at them.

"Be safe," Hylla whispered. Then, she pulled Isabella away.

"Come on," Reyna muttered. She led Piper towards the table of food. "You're the prettiest woman here, so it won't take long for Trevor to find you and start flirting. I'm going to need some alcohol for that. You will too."

"I don't drink," Piper began.

"You're going to want to," Reyna said. She grabbed a bottle of scotch and poured some for herself. Reyna took a sip and then winced. She downed the rest of it before pouring herself another.

"Maybe you should go easy on the alcohol," Piper said. She grabbed Reyna's arm. "We have a long way to go."

"I'm going to get the shit beaten out of me," Reyna muttered. She downed another glass. "I'd rather be buzzed for that."

"I just don't think you should drink so much," Piper said. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a man walking towards them. He looked to be about a few years older than her. He also wore a suit jacket, but his looked like it was made of leopard skin. Piper almost scowled. "Especially since we have big plans tonight."

Piper gently grabbed Reyna's face and motioned with her eyes. Reyna glanced to her side and blinked in acknowledgment. Then, she rested her head against Piper's and spoke, "That's the middle brother. I have a bad history with him. I didn't even think he would be here, or we would have mentioned him."

"What kind of history," Piper asked, but she wouldn't receive an answer as the man made his way towards them and bowed mockingly. The man had a mess of black hair on his head that had fading green dye in it. The green in his eyes looked like something that came out of the sewer.

Reyna roughly grabbed Piper's arm and pulled her closer. She spoke, "Jerry, what do we owe the displeasure?"

"Quartermaster Ramirez-Arellano, I just wanted to say hello to an old friend," Jerry said. Now that he was closer, Piper saw that he only wore a leopard skin jacket and no dress shirt, showing off his hairy and exposed chest. Piper wanted nothing more than to recoil.

"Old friend? When we last spoke, you promised to have daddy come and clean up your messes," Reyna said. Jerry waved a dismissive hand.

"What's a destroyed million dollar car between friends?" Jerry asked. He snapped his fingers. A server walked towards them holding a tray. It held two shot glasses full of a black liquid. "I got a peace offering. The finest alcohol in the world. Even the gods cannot resist it."

Reyna remained silent for a few moments before finally taking the shot glass. Piper gripped Reyna's arm. The pirates had told her that the Avenicci family wouldn't do anything to harm them outright until after they were caught attempting to steal. Poisoning someone was off limits as well. That still didn't make Piper feel any better as Reyna downed the glass in one gulp.

Reyna instantly stumbled. Piper grabbed onto her arm. Jerry smiled and spoke, "Can't hold your liquor?"

It took a moment for Reyna to laugh, but Piper could feel how tense she was. Reyna spoke, "I can hold my liquor."

"Why don't we go get some food in you?" Piper asked. It was easy to play the role of concerned girlfriend. Reyna's words were already extremely slurred.

"I think the quartermaster wants one more," Jerry said offering the tray.

I would never turn down such a kind offering," Reyna said. She took the shot glass and downed it without hesitation. She looked at Piper. "You worry too much."

Reyna kissed Piper gently. Piper almost recoiled at the taste of alcohol on Reyna's lip. Reyna kept her close and spoke against her lips. "It's all you from here. I'll be out of it soon."

Piper wanted to tell Reyna this was a bad idea, but all she could do was return the kiss and pull away. The way that Jerry was studying them was beyond creepy, and Piper didn't have a good feeling about the entire thing.

"Quartermaster, did I ever show you my replacement car?" Jerry asked. He wrapped his arms around Reyna and Piper. "Come on. You both should see it."

"We would love to," Piper said She allowed Jerry to lead her and Reyna away from the party. Reyna was clearly almost out on her feet. Piper had no clue what was in the drink, but something told her it was more than just alcohol. It seemed like Jerry wasn't playing by the rules

They left the party behind and made it down another hallway. They stepped into a large garage that was full of sports cars and super cars. Jerry led them toward a Lamborghini that was completely destroyed. All the tires were popped, and the all of the glass was shattered. Scratches covered the entire car, along with something brown that Piper assumed wasn't paint.

"Do you remember when you did this to my car," Jerry asked. He pulled away from them. Piper quickly grabbed Reyna's arm to keep her steady.

"I remember you crying," Reyna said. Jerry sneered and then turned on her. He punched Reyna right in the nose. Piper barely caught the pirate and kept her standing.

"Let her go, whore. This is between the two of us," Jerry snapped. Piper turned on him and glared. Reyna grabbed Piper and pulled her backwards.

"Can't even fight fairly?" Reyna asked. She stumbled forward, and her words were slurred. Jerry grinned. "Since you threw the first punch, don't cry when I break your arm."

Jerry swore and rushed forward. He swung wildly. As the last second, Reyna dodged him and knocked his feet out. Jerry collapsed to the ground. Reyna leaned on a car and spoke, "That all?"

Jerry yelled and jumped to his feet. He threw another punch that Reyna sidestepped. His fist slammed into the window, setting off the car alarm. Reyna grabbed Jerry's head and slammed his face into the car window. His skull bounced off, and he crumpled against the car.

"Still can't fight," Reyna said. She stumbled back into car. "Can't even cheat to win."

"Reyna stop," Piper said. She rushed forward and pulled Reyna away. Reyna practically collapsed against her. Piper moved her lips to the pirate's ear. "What should I do?"

No answer was given. Piper frowned and heard more footsteps. She turned and saw another man walking towards them. He wore a suit and tie. His hair was neatly trimmed, and his green were were behind glasses.

"Jerry, what is going on here?" the man asked. He crossed his arms. "Ladies. Wait. Is that Quartermaster Ramirez-Arellano? I have heard so much about you from my brother. He's just upset about the car."

"Trevor," Reyna slurred. She tried to push off of Piper but somehow collapsed more against her. Piper was practically holding Reyna up.

"We should get you sobered up," Trevor said. He seemed like he was a charming man, but Piper could see past his demeanor. "You can hardly stand."

"I'm fine," Reyna slurred. Trevor looked at Piper, and his smile widened.

"This fine specimen must be your girlfriend," Trevor said. He kissed Piper's hand. "What a lovely lady."

"Why don't you get away from her?" Reyna demanded. She shoved Trevor away. Trevor held his hands up.

"I was just complimenting your amazing girlfriend. Don't tell me that you are that afraid of losing her," Trevor said. Piper let go of Reyna and studied Trevor. She forced a shy smile to her face.

"Don't look at him," Reyna hissed. She faced Piper and winked at her. Then, she stumbled back towards Trevor and punched him right across the nose. Piper winced as Trevor's nose broke. Reyna's second punch was caught by Trevor, and Jerry tackled her from the side.

Jerry grabbed Reyna by her tie with one hand and punched her repeatedly with the other. Piper swallowed painfully before rushing to Jerry's side. She pulled him off and shoved him away. Piper spoke, "Stop! She's drunk."

"The lady is right," Trevor said. He pulled Jerry backwards. "Go get some guards to help our guest get cleaned up."

Jerry swore again but stalked away. Trevor knelt by Reyna and spoke, "We'll get her some medical help and a place to sober up. You shouldn't let this keep you from enjoying the party."

Trevor stood and turned towards the car with the ongoing alarm. He turned it off. Piper quickly knelt by Reyna and grabbed the two coins from her pocket. She placed them in Reyna's hand. Piper quickly stood as Trevor turned back towards her.

"I don't know," Piper began. She looked at Trevor and gently wiped the blood from his nose. "I'm sorry about Reyna. She has a bad temper."

"I've heard rumors. It is quite all right through," Trevor said. Piper spared a glance down at Reyna. The pirate was curled up on her side and almost seemed like she was asleep.

"Are you sure the guards will take care of her?" Piper asked, even though she knew the answer. Piper had no doubt Jerry would wait till they were gone and then take a few more shots at a defenseless Reyna. It hurt Piper to even think about leaving, but she had to play her part.

"Of course," Trevor said. He smiled at her.

"Let's get you cleaned up then," Piper said. Trevor smiled, and the two walked away. It took all of Piper's willpower to not look back at Reyna. Piper focused ahead. She was going to use her charmspeak on Trevor, and she was going to get the wings. Then, they could rescue Leo.
