Chapter Seventeen – Lil Miss Fix It
Harvard University, Cambridge, MA
Miss Alexander called Hunter and told him she had been invited to the Pentagon to present her case to the Department for Special Weapons and Tactics for using her pet spiders in military combat and espionage. Hunter was still in Orlando but he said that he would come with her in the morning as long as she could promise him that nothing bad would happen to Blinky, Summer and Justice when he handed them over to her. Roman and Sasha were skeptical about her intentions after Alexa Bliss expressed no trust in Hayworth's girlfriend but Hunter had more faith in his son's taste in women and he was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Monday Night RAW, New York City, New York, 7pm
"I hope you're right Ambrose," Alexa said. "Seth and Sasha's night has to be perfect, or things are really going to get Blissed up around here,"
Dean Ambrose nodded while combing Alexa's hair trying his best to get all of the tension out of it. The Shield were out in support of Alexa while Seth introduced everyone to the newest addition to the main roster Bianca Belair. Dean and Roman stayed vigilant while Seth was out of sight, somewhere Bliss was not comfortable being as long as they were in New York City. She knew that Black Heart and Stephanie had something big planned to spoil Sasha's return from Hollywood yet again. The anxiety level was threatening to go up especially since John Cena and the Rock were coming to RAW tonight to promote Sasha's movie. It was going to be a big night and a major spotlight was going to be shining on the wrestling world. Bliss just wanted to make sure it wasn't shining on them for the wrong reasons. Dean and Roman understood exactly how Bliss felt and they brought something with them to make her feel a lot better and to also clue her into how they planned to help protect Seth and Sasha from another Black Heart attack tonight.
"This is for you little lady," Roman said handing Bliss a package.
"What is this?" Bliss said furrowing her brow, "Thanks guys but my birthday was two months ago,"
"Its not a birthday present," Roman said and Alexa opened the package and pulled out a custom made Shield suit.
"OMG!" Alexa said ecstatically and she ran into the bathroom and got changed into it immediately. She came out a few minutes later with it on and with a big smile on her face. "It fits like a dream just like I always dreamt that it would!"
"Congratulations Alexa Bliss you are now an official female member of the greatest faction of all time!" Roman Reigns said and he extended his fist with Ambrose and they waited for Bliss to put her fist in with theirs.
"Come on Lexi, let's make it official and send Seth the tweet saying that you're in," Dean said.
"This was Seth's idea?" Alexa asked still in shook at the iconic gear that she was now wearing.
"Yeah, he said you were the only person worthy of wearing our colours. Put it in Bliss," Roman said and Alexa choked up as she added her fist to the ones extended waiting for hers, "Alexa the Great, welcome to the Shield,"
After Ambrose took their selfie and sent it to Seth who gave it the thumbs up, #AlexajoinstheShield started to trend almost instantly sending a clear message to Bayley Black Heart. "Now we war," Roman Reigns said shaking Alexa's now gloved hand. "Bayley might have Steph and Jeff Hardy in her corner but we've got you in ours, you ready to go tonight Alexa?"
"Oh I'm ready, I've never been more ready for anything in my life," Alexa Bliss said wiping tears away from her eyes and Roman laughed.
"Get this girl a tissue," he said to Ambrose who comforted Bliss while Roman broke down their strategy for the night in preparation for the attack was that due to come later on tonight.
"Thanks Ambrose, now finish my hair," she said.
"With pleasure," Dean said and he went back to her hair while Roman explained exactly what they were going to do tonight.
Outside on Times Square Seth and Sasha were walking the red carpet trying not to let the fact that Stephanie and Bayley were in New York City distract them. Because it was Sasha's appearance that mattered the most Trish and Randy couldn't be out with them to support them and encourage them that everything was going to be alright, mostly because they knew that it wasn't. A retaliatory attack was coming due to Bayley being thrown out of the NXT pool party by Bianca Belair. Plus they were already planning an attack and it was going to be in broad daylight in front of the world.
Seth was trying his best to focus on his wife's movie but it was really hard to do that knowing that Bayley and Stephanie could show up in any minute. Reporters were asking Sasha about a million questions and she answered them all as quickly as she could not wanting to be professional anymore. She wanted to fight. Seth loosened his collar, trying to ease the pressure on his neck from all the problems Bayley was causing right now. He had a plan and the Shield were going to carry it out. Being a man of God he couldn't join in and fight with them. The old Seth would have taken them all out with a Stomp straight to the head but even that made him uneasy. It had come to this, an actual fight was going to happen and it was all because of Bayley Black Heart.
One of the reporters noticed the tense look on Seth's face and asked him if he was happy for his wife.
"Yes I am I'm very proud of her," Seth replied.
"Is it easy having a wife that is the first female wrestler to have a movie featuring both John Cena and the Rock?" the reporter added.
There was nothing easy about their lives right now Seth thought but he smiled at the reporter and tried to put on a brave face, "Nothing could make me happier," Seth replied.
The Rock and John Cena showed up and suddenly all eyes were on them which took a lot of the pressure off of Sasha and Seth who used their arrival as an opportunity to find Trish and Randy Orton.
The Ortons were on the far side of the barricade trying to be inconspicuous which was not easy amidst a sea of wrestling fans and general New York public. Trish was still doing reps and her arms were like coconuts much to Seth's delight. It looked like she was ready for a fight.
"Man are we glad to finally see you guys, is Bayley here yet? When are they gonna show up?" Seth asked the Truth Couple.
"Relax Seth you should be enjoying your time with Sasha, don't spend it worrying about Bayley Black Heart," Randy Orton said admiring his wife's arms. "She hasn't stopped she's been doing reps all morning,"
"Looks like you wanna fight someone Trish," Sasha said impressed.
"She can't fight she's a Christian its not allowed," Seth said.
"I might have to fight tonight Seth, there's a chance Stephanie could be getting physically involved in this situation with you and Bayley. I told God that if she puts a hand on any of you, I would have to take matters into my own hands," Trish told Seth and Sasha's face lit up in delight.
"And what did God say?" Seth asked Trish concerned. He didn't want Trish to get in trouble with God and lose her Truth-telling abilities.
"He said I can get physical if I feel that you are being mortally threatened," Trish said and Sasha clapped her hands together ecstatically over the idea of Trish getting physical with Bayley and Stephanie.
"So can Seth use the Stomp if Jeff Hardy gets involved?" Sasha asked hopefully.
"I will not be using the Stomp, this is not a physical battle my love. This is about friendship and doing whatever we can to make sure things don't get out of control," Seth said to his wife.
"Seth, we're in Times Square on the red carpet for my first movie with the Rock and John Cena and we're worried about Bayley showing up and ruining everything. Things are already out of control, you might as-well get physical and make this into a match," Sasha said.
"You cannot wrestle Bayley, Stephanie and Jeff Hardy. They are not messing around, they really wanna take over NXT and put us all out of work. Getting physical with them is not going to make them change their minds about that," Seth said.
"Maybe not but it'll sure make me feel a lot better about them ruining my return from Hollywood," Sasha said and Seth sighed.
"Babe you don't understand we can't wrestle our way out of this one, we have to pray out of this," Seth said.
"What do you think I've been doing in L.A, practicing voodoo? I've been on my knees over this whole thing, I'm praying just as hard as you are for this thing to come to an end," Sasha said.
"No you haven't. You've been shooting action sequences with those two jerks," Seth said and Sasha laughed at Seth's reference to the Rock and John Cena.
"Don't get competitive just because Rocky and Cena are around, I'm still the best wrestler standing here so why don't you redirect all that competitive attitude toward me," Sasha said and Seth smiled before kissing his wife indulgently while Randy and Trish remained stealth knowing that Bayley's next attack was imminent.
RAW was going to start in a couple of hours and Bayley and Stephanie had not shown up yet. Seth and Sasha were still kissing and Rocky and Cena were still entertaining everyone on the red carpet as fans started to file into Madison Square Garden for tonight's show. The sun was starting to set over the city and DX arrived ready to produce tonight's episode of RAW. Chyna and Amy accompanied Hunter and Shawn to MSG but they decided to stay on the red carpet with Trish and Randy who were standing guard by Seth and Sasha. As the two lovebirds kissed the night closed in over Times Square as the legendry light board lit up the night, shining a spotlight on the retaliation of Bayley Black Heart.
The familiar sound of "Baby Hit Me One More Time" by Britney Spears echoed throughout Times Square only it wasn't Britney Spears in the video, it was Bayley Black Heart. The song had undergone somekind of remix and the chorus had been changed to "Kiss me Rollins one more time!" instead of "Hit me baby one more time!" It didn't take long for the people watching who knew who Bayley was to get the joke and before long everyone watching started singing "Kiss me Rollins one more time!"
"I did not see this coming," Trish said to Randy who looked at Seth, he was humiliated. Sasha turned to him with volcanic eyes.
"You sure you don't wanna fight God boy? I sure do!" Sasha said clenching her fists as the video ended with a shot of Bayley Black Heart kissing Seth underwater. "Stephanie must have been in that pool too,"
Seth was so mad he was frozen with rage, he hadn't felt this angry since he was in the Shield back in the day. Now the fans were serenading him with the famous now augmented version of the classic Britney Spears song and it was a long way from "Burn it Down!" Bayley had successfully executed her plan to make herself the talk of the town at DX Inc's expense by making fun of their golden boy and girl, Seth and Sasha. It was Sasha's night and Bayley had completely spoiled it.
Sasha couldn't take it anymore and she walked over to where Cena and Rocky were being interviewed by E!
Seth knew what she was going to do and part of him really wanted her to do it but another part of him knew it would be playing right into Bayley's Black Hearted hands.
"Don't do it," Seth said to his wife snatching the microphone out of her hand.
"Give me that back, I have to do something I can't just stand here on my red carpet and let her get the upper hand on us like that!" Sasha said.
"That's exactly what she wants you to do, don't play into her hands!" Seth said.
"Kiss me Rollins one more time!" rang out in the background and it sounded like the entire city was singing it.
Randy and Trish looked at Chyna and Amy thinking the same thing, "This is a disaster," Trish said and they all nodded in agreement. "And RAW hasn't even started yet,"
"Let's all pray that Seth and Sasha will get through this guys," Randy said and they all prayed for strength for Seth Rollins who really needed his Maid of Armour right now.
And just like that Alexa the Great showed up, only she wasn't alone. She was on the screen that was just showing the video of Bayley singing Britney and she was with the Shield decked out in uniform.
The sight of Alexa with Roman and Dean brought a smile to Seth's face and a sigh of relief to Trish, Randy, Amy and Chyna.
"Hello New York," Alexa said and everyone broke out in applause and started cheering for Alexa. "Sorry you had to see that lower class reject try to make herself feel better by ripping off a song nobody knows. You see the problem is and has always been the fact that Bayley cannot accept the fact that she is and will always be a loser,"
Roman spoke next, "But us, we're winners and we don't play with broken toys and that's all you are Bayley. You're broken, that's why you're hanging out with the Hardys now and they've been broken for years,"
Dean added his two cents in next, "There comes a point when something becomes so broken you have no choice but to throw it away. It can't be fixed no matter how many times you try to superglue it, some things just can't be repaired. So tonight, we're going to throw out a challenge. Bayley, Jeff and Stephanie versus the Shield,"
Massive cheers broke out and chants of "Yes!" rained out in Times Square much to DX's pleasure.
"You wanna ruin friendships Bayley, you wanna step on the people that care about you and make their lives miserable? Well allow us to return the favour and give Seth Rollins and Sasha Banks the justice that they deserve for all the s*** that you've put them through you cold, pathetic black hearted b***!" Alexa Bliss screamed. "Beware of Bliss!"
"And believe in the Shield," Roman said bringing the video to a dramatic close with a Shield bump and a promo for Monday Night RAW.
Seth and Sasha felt much better and the people around them suddenly realised how vindictive Bayley Black Heart truly was and they cheered them on seeing that the ordeal was very real.
"This is only going to make thing worse you know," Seth told his wife and Rocky and Cena came over to them.
"But it sure ain't going to feel like it, you guys are going to have a great time tonight," Rocky assured them.
"How do you know?" Seth asked Rocky.
"I already spoke to Hunter and asked him to put me on the show. I'm about to cut a promo so bad Stephanie will have no choice but to show up and get in the ring and take the new Shield up on their challenge," Rocky said.
"There is no new Shield, there's only one. The role of Seth Rollins is temporarily being played by the great Alexa Bliss," Seth said.
"So you're not going to get in the ring tonight?" Sasha asked her husband.
"No I'm going to sit this one out," Seth said and Sasha looked disappointed.
"Seth Bayley just punked us out in front of the whole world, don't you think you should get in the ring and fight with the Shield if she shows up tonight?" Sasha said and Seth looked at her in shock.
"Are you serious right now? This is not a match Sasha, this is a war and you don't win a war with your hands, you win it on your knees and then you watch your enemies fall, one-by-one," Seth said and Sasha realised he was going to fight tonight but not in the way that the fans would expect him to.
"You pray baby, I'll be ringside watching Alexa's back," Sasha said and she kissed her husband respectfully before making their way into the MSG building ready for yet another historic episode of Monday Night RAW.
