Staketzi and his teammates stared up at Alex as he had an overwhelming aura of confidence.
Kentzu immediately fired out his flames towards Alex.
Alex pointed his hands down as streams of air fired as he catapulted into the air.
His movements were hard to keep up with as Alex then blasted himself off towards the ground.
In an instant, he landed infront of Vanessa blasting her in the stomach with his air wave, as she tumbled back.
Staketzi turned, activating his Spirit in his legs as he plunged foward towards Alex.
Alex's eyes widened as his speed was unexpected. Staketzi successfully landed a punch across Alex's face.
However, Staketzi was still limited into how much he could use his spirit.
Without it, the punch didn't pack much as Alex's face stung a miniscule amount as Staketzi's speed barely helped with the impact. He easily recovered from the punch as he slid a few feet back.
Alex was quite impressed with Staketzi's movements himself but retaliated with,
"Heh, not bad.. don't think you can beat me with your inexperience."
Suddenly, Alex heard the sounds of humming as his vision began to get blurry.
Kentzu held one held out as a ball of fire appeared in his hand.
Alex let out a yelp as he got onto one knee holding his head. He placed his hand on the ground. His hand began to vibrate as he gritted his teeth, pressing onto the ground. A loud rumble erupted as the ground began to vibrate and the rocks and dirt cracked. He placed his second hand on the ground as the tremor had intensified.
Everyone around him stumbled trying to get their barrings. Staketzi felll as he felt like his whole body was shattering from the inside.
"W-wha- why...what's going on?!?!"
He thought to himself.
He then heard Ash's voice in his ear piece.
"I can hear the tremor from here! That's one of his special moves. He's able to manipulate high pressurized airways into pulses as well, and transfer them into objects or people. The only way to get it to stop his physically stopping him!"
Staketzi knew he and his teammates couldn't bare this much longer as even liftint his head took all his effort.
He noticed all his teammates were holding there bodies, either crouched or slumped over in pain too.
Staketzi was able to get one leg up, as he had put spirit into it. He closed his eyes, taking a big breath in as he activated his spirit fully.
A thin, blue line of his spirit outlined his whole body. His eyes had a darker tint to them. Staketzi had never used this much spirit before. He could already feel his heart racing.
Managing to stand up, he took a couple, strugglesome steps foward before leaping off.
"I j-just need to grab his bandana. He's got both hands on the ground, a clear opening..."Flying foward he prepared to bring his hand up, approaching Alex at a speed he had never gone before.
Staketzi's eyes widened...
Alex had tilted his head up with a smirk, lifting his right hand up, open towards Staketzi.
Staketzi however, wasn't filled with fear. Excitement had overtaken him now. He gritted his teeth as his fist was now cocked back, swamped in a thick aura of spirit.
He thrusted his right arm out as his fist slammed into Alex's open hand.
A low pitched,
"BOOM!" rang throughout the forest, as pulses lingered through the area.
Even all the chaperones could heard the sonic boom as everyone looked at the cameras in awe. Of course Sensei Cora still had her idle expression with her arms crossed.
Alex had caught Staketzi' punch. He hadn't even moved from his spot he was kneeled down at.
Staketzi grunted.. now with a look of aggrovation and pain. His right fist was on fire, along with the rest of his body as his heart was racing.
He tried to get his breathing undercontrol.
"H-how did Alex effortlessly catch Nikuru's punch like that?!?!"
Cora scoffed as she said,
"Alex's air pulse countered Nik's punch basically. Alex's right hand is mostly in an immense amount of pain too, but nowhere near the amount of pain Nik will be. . ."
Staketzi was still in the air, as his body had basically locked up.
Alex let go of Staketzi has he felt flat onto his stomach. He tried lifting his head. But even that was nearly impossible.
"Damn, even my hand is on fire from that. You somehow were able to fight through my pulse wave there. . but. . it wasn't enough."
He turned, walking over to Vanessa. Everyone was still aching from Alex's pulse wave. Approaching her as he pulled her headband off, putting it into his pocket.
"Now thats she's gone. . I can take on the rest."
He began to walk back over to Staketzi.
"Man! My body, it's- it's all burning up in pain. I-I can't do anything, come onnnnn. . I've got to get up!" He grunted even more, trying to bring his legs and arms up. The pain kept shooting throughout his body.
He even used whatever bit of spirit he could to get himself on his hands and knees. Staketzi couldn't get his breathing under control either as his heart felt like it was being squeezed as he grabbed his chest.
Yasmin struggled to get up as she was sitting now, leaning on her hands.
She was filled with anxiousness as she immediately noticed Alex walking over to a downed Staketzi. She lifted her hands as the dead and dried leafs around her flew towards him.
A couple leafs flew past Alex as they scratched him. Then the rest of the bunch twirled around him, like it was a leaf tornado.
"Kentzu, hurry!" She screamed. Just like Yasmin's, Kentzu's body also ached.
"Good thinking!" he screamed back.
"These dried leafs should create a nice. ." she thought to herself.
Sure enough, the leafs ignited as streams of flames surrounded Alex.
They all heard the screams of Alex as this could be another opportunity for them. But the flames suddenly dissipated as Alex had both his hands out breathing heavily.
"He even managed to cancel out Kentzu's flames with his air blast!?!?!" Staketzi remarked.
He tried to get up but his body ached even more.
"D-Dammit, I'm completely useless like this! I-I. . h-have to. ."
This was one of the worst feelings for Staketzi, not being to help when it was needed. His legs and arms trembled. It was also getting harder for him to breathe. His heart was racing, numbness in his whole body became apparent.
As the chaperones continued to watch,
"Dammit kid, just stay down and rest!"Cora thought to herself.
She continued to watch as Staketzi struggled to get up, his face filled with pain.
"Sir!" she yelled out.
She quickly covered her mouth. Wondering why she got Mr.Miller's attention. Yes she was concerned for Staketzi, but she also wanted him to push on and make his own decisions.
"Yes?" Mr.Miller said as he looked back as all the other chaperones stared at her.
She uncovered her mouth as she cleared her throat,
"U-umm. . nothing sir sorry."
He continued to stare at her with a puzzling look before turning back to the screens.
She looked back at the screen, her eyes widened as Staketzi was up and standing.
Staketzi's body language obviously spoke out in terms of him being able to barely stand.
With a crooked posture, he held his hand to his chest as he tried to get his breathing back to normal.
Alex's body was in immense pain as well as some of his skin had been mildly burned and he was getting fatigued from using his quirk over and over.
Suddenly,
A blinding light had filled the forest.
"Shina!" Staketzi thought.
Ash and Shina both dropped down from the tree that was hanging above Staketzi.
"NIK!" Ash yelled out to him.
Staketzi slowly turned to his right relieved to see the cheerful girl and Shina as well.
"You okay?" Ash asked out to him.
Staketzi chuckled a bit as he said, "Heh, n-no, not really.
Ash smiled as she said, "Well just relax, we'll try and handle this."
Alex had now recovered from the flash he directly recieved unlike the others.
"Shina ! You ready?!?!" Ash asked her, full of determination.
"Yes!" She firmly replied.
Ash began to sprint towards Alex as Shina let out another quick flash. It wasn't as bright but enough to make Alex flinch.
Ash immediately reached out for Alex's bandana, but he shoved her to the side with a small air blast.
Ash quickly recovered as she then went for a side kick but her leg was caught by Alex. Ash twisted as Alex let go. Ash hopped back a few feet trying to get her momentum back.
"H-hey Shina.' Staketzi called out to her. "What happened to the other people on his team?"
"Bobby was able to eliminate the twins, but Jose managed to snag his bandana when he was initially going for mine. He shoved me out the way and yea. . . We heard what was happening so we left Jose, he should be here any second. Kentzu and the others will most likely take him on. By the way, what's up with you.?"
Staketzi replied while wiping away his sweat,
"W-well, probably would have been good to tell you my downside of my quirk." He said as he chuckled again.
"But-but when I use too much, it takes a toll on my body. My muscles begin to ache and my heart feels like it's going to burst out my chest. Making it difficult to breath properly and move. Hehe, I can barely stand as of now."
Shina sighed as she said,
"I hate how you are laughing when you're like that."
"T-trust me, it sucks." he said back with a half smile.
The little skirmish between Ash and Alex had continued as Shina found an opening to flash.
Ash had finally had an opportunity to grab his bandana but was jabbed in the side by a high pressured water stream. . She flew back onto the ground.
Jose had come from behind the treeline . Perhaps he waited for the flash as he had his arms held over his eyes. Kentzu quickly blasted himself up with his flames, extending his hands out towards Jose to fire more flames. Water jets propelled out of Jose's feet as he side swiped out of the way.
They both landed in front of each other.
"Come on Kentzu, you know water beats fire." He said with a light chuckle and smirk.
"We'll see.." Kentzu replied back in a calm manner.
"I have no idea how much longer I can keep using my flames. But I've gotta assume he's used his water jets quite a bit too." Kentzu thought to himself.
Ash noticed Kentzu had begun is battle with Jose. In which Jose immediately gained the upper hand in their clash of water and fire. Kentzu had let go of his flame power as it dimmed. Her eyes glowed as she activated her Luck as the water jet veered off to the right.
Although helping Kentzu, her eyes widened as the water jet had managed to curve substantially as it blasted Shina in the face.
Jose was caught off guard as he even wondered if he managed to somehow curve his attack.
"Oh my- I-I'm so sorry!" Ash cried out.
Alex chuckled as he blasted Ash with a compressed air blast as it smashed into her cheek.
She fell back,
"Ash!" Staketzi yelled out. He tried to take a step foward but fell to his knees.
Alex began to slowly walk towards Ash but Yasmin had sprung the tree roots up from the ground, wrapping him in them.
"Quick, someone grab his bandana!" She yelled out. Yasmin squeezed her hand as the roots tightened.
Shina began to sprint towards Alex.
"Thirty seconds have passed, this is perfect, if Jose tries to attack Shina I can make his attack miss for sure."
As Shina sprinted, Jose stuck his hand out at Shina as Ash had predicted. Kentzu tried to get up and shoot flames but wasn't in time as Jose had already fired his water jet.
Ash's eyes glowed again as the Water Jet missed.
"Yes I got it!" She cheered to herself.
However, it wasn't completely lucky. The jet ran into Yasmin's face as the immense pressure forced her to lose concentration. The roots eased up as Alex managed to open both his hands, blasting the roots into pieces.
"RGUAGHH!" He yelled as he sent himself flying towards Shina. The pulse from him blasting the roots apart caused Shina to stumble as she looked up to see Alex flying towards her. In the blink of an eye Alex had snagged Shina's bandana.
Everyone's jaws basically dropped in shock of what had happened.
"Well well. . That wasn't very lucky for you guys was it?"
A pit of sorrow had dropped into Ash. She couldn't believe that she caused this.
"I-I'm s-so-" Ash couldn't even finish her sentence as she was filled with guilt as well.
"Staketzi! You're next!" Alex again blasted himself off.
Nothing but adrenaline had flowed into Staketzi. Everything had gone dark, literally pitch black. All of his surroundings were gone.
then. . .
A spark of blue appeared infront of him, as if he could reach out for it.
He did, feeling as if he lifted his hands. But then he was staring back at the ground as he was now on his hands and knees, breathing heavily.
He looked up, and back to see Alex's, and along with everyone else's puzzled looks.
Staketzi didn't even know how he escaped from Alex. How fast did he just move to where he was.
Jose was in awe as his mouth hung open. Yasmin had snuck up behind him, locking his body from behind him, in a full-nelson basically.
"Kentzu! Now!' She screamed hoping he would be able to grab onto his bandana in time.
Even tho she had a good grip on him, Jose's hands were still free. He shot a water jet into Yasmin's face trying to get her off, but she didn't let go. He shot at her again so he could sufficiently take on Kentzu.
"L-LET. ." Jose charged both his hands as he put even more pressure into his attack. "GOOO!" he screamed as the jets forced Yasmin to let go as she slammed into the ground. Jose easily reached down as he ripped her bandana off.
He heard the sounds of flames crackling as he looked up to fend off Kentzu but was too late. Kentzu flew at him with flames coming out his hands as he successfully pulled Jose's bandana off his head. Sliding across the dirt behind Jose and landing next to Yasmin.
He looked down saying with full gratitude,
"T-thank you. ."
Yasmin had been knocked out from Jose's attack.
Jose walked up to Kentzu,
"S-sorry for hitting her that hard, I was just really trying to win."
"It's okay, just get her back. Besides it's not against the rules to knock someone out, it's why this Section is the toughest." Kentzu spoke out in full pride.
"You did good Yasmin!" Staketzi thought to himself.
His face changed from a light smile as he watched Jose carry her away as Shina walked with him as they had been eliminated.
It was now him, Ash, Kentzu and Alex left.
"By the way. . I know your quirk. It's the same as Sensei Cora's. That's right, she use to be my chaperone here at this camp couple years prior."
Staketzi was shocked but at the same wasn't. He noticed the way he fought and in similariry to a way a martial artist did too.
"I don't even know how or why you can be an abiding acquaintance to her. She's a liar. ."
Staketzi couldn't believe what he had just said as he stumbled out, "W-what!?!?"
"You heard me." Alex said back with a smirk.
"W-what are you talking about!?!" Staketzi yelled.
"D- Don't listen to him Nik!" Ash yelled out.
All the other chaperones turned to Cora with puzzled looks.
"Ugh, why does he have to act like a stupid villain. ." she said with a hand in her face embarrassed by his act.
"Hmph, guess I'll just have to show you how usless training with her." Alex spoke with a cocky tone as he opened his hand out towards Staketzi as he air blasted towards him.
Stakstzi was filled with annoyance and anger as he filled his legs with spirit, dodging his attack. His anger had managed to make him forget about his pain as he was given an opportunity to use his spirit.
"I don't think so!" Alex yelled as he prepared to let out an attack at Kentzu.
Ash tried again with her Luck as her eyes glowed, but the Air Blast smacked into a tree forcing Kentzu to move as the branches crumbled down.
". . and Ash! I thought it was luck! Not get your teammates eliminated luck!" he said as he laughed.
"Gosh this guy really couldn't be funny if he tried!" Staketzi jokingly thought.
Ash's face reddened as she was embarrassed. She felt like her quirk was usless often times in her life, but she always smiled and tried to make the best of it growing up. She dropped to her knees with her head hanging.
Alex scoffed, "I see, that's how you wanna take it."
He let out another attack. Staketzi grunted as his spirit boosted himself towards her. He wrapped his arms around her carrying her behind a rock.
Kentzu fired a few flames off at Alex, trying to allow time for Staketzi and Ash to recover.
"Hey!" Staketzi yelled trying to get her attention. She continued to stare at the ground. .
"ASH!" he yelled even louder. She slowly tilted her head up.
"Come on! Let's win this!" He said with a light smile.
"T-Then go. Win. ." she quietly said.
"No! Not without you!"
"Why do you need me?" she asked.
A crooked look soon faded on Staketzi's face as it turned into a smile.
"Because, we're a team. . and friends despite just meeting. We help each other. No matter what this comes out to, we have each other's back. Hope. . sometimes it's all we need. Now, let's go."
Ash was always one to be smiling and hopeful. It was nice for her to see that expression thrown back at her. Especially the way Staketzi expressed it to her.
"Come on! Come on! My last chance!" Staketzi thought.
He charged spirit into his legs, running and jumping to Alex.
Alex had blasted Kentzu off and away from him. Staketzi noticed the white bandana in his hand.
He was in the air, at least above head level with Alex. Preparing for his arm launched back, going to go for a punch.
His fist now swarmed with spirit. Hints of steam grazed out of his fist as well. But he didn't notice.
Getting even closer, Staketzi's threw the punch but. .
It was way to early. He had already followed through the entire punch as his body was twisted, fist facing away from Alex. He was confused, as if his body moved on his own. But he knew it, he looked down towards Ash. .
. . her eyes were glowing.
"H-How did I mess this up?!?! No!" Ash yelled to herself internally.
Staketzi was just as suprised as Alex and everyone else watching. Alex didn't know how to react.
. . but then. .
The steam from Staketzi's fist dissipated, a small explosion erupted on his own fist. The force sent him flying straight down towards Alex and in an instant. .
Staketzi had flown past Alex, his bandana slowly sliding off his head as everything had seemed to be in slow motion for him.
Staketzi finished his way in the air as he tumbled onto the ground about 10 meters or so past him. Alex didn't know what had just happaned as he was shocked. Not feeling his bandana.
Staketzi was planted face first into the dirt, with the black bandana in his left hand.
"THE WHITE BANDANA'S WINNNNN!"
Mr. Miller screamed into the speaker.
Staketzi rolled over onto his back, feeling absolutely nothing. Even his vision was blurry.
He chuckled as he said to himself,
"I-I have no idea. . w-what just happened. But I'm pretty sure I've crapped my pants."
Kentzu got up recovering from Alex's attacked as he walked over to Staketzi saying,
"You're an idiot."
Ash was still dropped to her knees as she didn't know what just happened, as the corners of her mouth pried up. .
