Hazel POV
The moment Nyx brings up that we are being watched both guy's tense and their eyes go blacker than I have ever seen before.
Jasper addresses Peter calling him the captain though I have no idea why.
"Captain we have to get the girls out of here it's dangerous." Peter just nods to Jasper. When our trolly reaches the ground the attendant reaches to help Nyx and I out but Peter and Jasper just growls at the poor guy. Apparently when their mates are in danger no man can touch us.
Jasper grabs my hand while Peter grabs Nyx's and they are rushing us back to Jasper's truck. I can tell something is wrong so I don't even argue when Peter jumps in the front seat this time. I just look to Nyx who shrugs back. Peter and Jasper are just talking to each other at vampire speed so neither Nyx and I can catch what is being said so instead of trying to talk to them about what is going on I just turn to her and we start talking among ourselves.
"Nyx what do you think happened?"
"I don't know Haze all I know is apparently we are in danger."
"Nyx that is not Jasper up there." As I say this both Peter and Jasper look back at us.
"Ladies I know you are both confused but if you could just wait til we get back to the ranch the captain and I will explain." All I can do is raise my eyebrow. Yeah I was right it's not Jasper that voice was rougher, sexier. I knew he felt it by the way he looked back at me with his raised eyebrow. Damn empath.
No matter what was going on and who this was I knew I didn't have to be scared of him I felt safe in his presence.
When I looked at Nyx she was smirking at me. Damn she knew he turned me on.
We pull up to the ranch and Jasper helped me out the truck while Peter helped Nyx out the truck and into the house.
Jasper was the one to address us once we were seated in the living room.
"As I am sure you both have figured out with how observant you both are I am not Jasper currently and that currently is not Peter."
"What do you mean by currently?" I couldn't help but have questions though I had a feeling this was a man that was not used to being interrupted.
"In the vampire world every vampire has what we call a beast, a human would call it a alter ego, I am the Major and that there.." he points to Peter "is the Captain."
"Does that mean we are also your mates?"
"Yes darlin you are also our mates don't worry." He smirks at me. The Major is a bit cocky. I like it.
"What is happening Major?" I can't help but be a little scared. I mean is someone or something after us?
"After you felt someone watching you, Jasper felt out for everyone's emotions and he felt anger and resentment directed at you specifically that is when I took over as well as the captain, we could sense that our mates were in danger and that we had to get ya'll out of there and back here. Ya'll are going to have to stay here for a few days while we scout around and see if there is still a danger to your well being or if it is safe to go home."
I just look to Nyx who nods. "Alright Major we will stay here, but we don't have any clothes so you'll have to lend us some." I can't help but smirk when they both purr in response.
After a few moments Jasper and Peter return to us and take both of us into their arms reassuring us that they will keep us safe and no harm will come to us. I can see how warn out Nyx is from tonight's activities so we decide to steal some clothes from our men and snuggle in for a movie.
When we come downstairs in a pair of their t-shirts and boxers it is clear as day the effect it has on them Jasper is accidently projecting some of his lust to everyone.
"Wanna real that in there major." I wink at him as I walk into his arms hugging him around the waist whispering in his ear "Save that for later." I kiss him then make my way to the couch passing Peter as he gives me a high five. Jasper takes a couple of minutes to compose himself then he joins me and wraps his arm around me.
Apparently Nyx and I fell asleep to the movie last night because next thing I know its morning and I can smell pancakes Nyx smelt it too because she's waking up at the same time as me. We walk into the kitchen together to see our men with batter all over them and a stack of pancakes waiting for us.
"Well isn't this sweet." I kiss Jasper on the cheek as I take a seat at the bar. Nyx greets Peter the same way before she joins me.
"So how did you guys get the names Major and Captain?" I can't help but get straight to the point. Nyx has rubbed off on me a bit over the years.
Both Peter and Jasper freeze, I guess they weren't expecting me to ask that after last night but how can I not.
Peter looks at Jasper and speaks "They need to know Jasper, and they are our mates. I want them to know."
Jasper nods his head and looks at us. "I'm not gonna lie ladies. It's not a pretty story."
Nyx and I look at each other but I know we both agree, we need to know our mates fully. Both sides of our mates.
"Tell me Jasper. Tell us. We want to know everything there is to know about our mates."
Jasper and Peter both sit down across from us and grab our hands. I think its more for their own comfort than ours. No matter what I know there is nothing that will change my mind about Jasper and I know Nyx feels the same about Peter. Jasper begins and as he tells us everything I occasionally see him and Peter flinch. I can't believe what they went through. These have to be the strongest men we have ever met. I know Nyx feels the same, she's looking at Peter with so much love and acceptance but every time they mention Maria I can tell both of us want to rip her head off. How can such a cold-hearted bitch exist. I can't believe she convinced Jasper he was in love with her just so she could use his power and control him to make him do all these awful things and then poor Peter get pulled into it. I don't blame Jasper or Peter in the least. She forced them to kill all those people and turn them into vampires. Than used sex and love against him. It's too cruel. When he finishes I don't know what to say. I mean what can I say, but of course Nyx comes to the rescue to end the awkward silence. Sigh.
"That damn WHORE!" Nyx shouts throwing her hands up in the air. "I'm gonna take my zippo and a can of hairspray and roast her ass." She looks right at me with so much anger in her eyes. "Haze you bring the marshmallows for after but we are torching her ass." Nyx jumps up so fast her chair falls over and she storms up the stairs and we hear a door slam somewhere.
Both mean have their mouths open and looked shock but Peter also looks a little turned on and I can't help but giggle at both of them. "She's right ya know. We blame Maria completely, you two did nothing wrong, and Nyx will burn her is she ever sees her."
Jasper chuckles and looks at me "Well neither of you will ever meet her because we wont let her any where near the two of you and she's all the way in Mexico anyways."
Peter purrs but tries to cover it up with a cough before he speaks "Um, I should probably go check on her."
"I wouldn't if I was you Petey. Let her cool down first, she's got a nasty temper. NEVER and I mean NEVER piss her off." I tell him.
"It's not that bad right?" Poor Peter looks nervous and Jasper is covering his mouth laughing.
"Ever since you told us you were vampire's she really has carried a zippo and hairspray. Go look in her purse if you don't believe me."
"Fuck." He groans and purrs.
Jasper and I are both laughing at him now. "Don't worry Petey she will come down on her own in a few when she calms down and act completely normal. I high suggest you never mention the name Maria again. Hell if we are out in public and meet a human named Maria. RUN"
We all start laughing and go into the living room. After chatting for a few minutes, Peter turns on vampire diaries. Jasper groans "seriously peter?"
"No this is great." I say. "NYX VAMPIRE DIARIES IS ON!." Less than a second later we are running coming down than the stair than a, fuck and a thump.
"I'M OKAY." Nyx shouts. We all laugh at her but she comes running into the living room and jumps straight into Peters lap. "Mmm Damon Salvatore is so yummy."
Peter tightens his arms around Nyx and places a kiss on her head. "Yea he's a bad ass baby."
We spend the rest of the day watching vampire diaries and I love it this time. It truly feels like home here with the four of us together. I look over at Jasper and he smiles at me, I know he can feel how happy I am. There's nowhere else I want to be. It starts getting late and Nyx stands up yawning but grabs Peters hand. "Hold me while I sleep?" He doesn't hesitate to pick her up and in a flash they are gone.
I turn to face Jasper "How about it cowboy? Come hold me in bed too."
"Yes ma'am." He smirks and carries me like a princess all the way upstairs but he takes his time and goes at a human pace. I love it. He's lays us down and holds me against him, I feel so safe that it doesn't take long for me to fall asleep.
In the morning I wake up and I can hear talking outside. It's the boys and a female's voice I don't recognize. I walk out of my room and almost run right into Nyx. "Who is that?" I ask her.
"I don't know Haze. I just woke up too. Let's go find out. I'm a nosey bitch after all." She smirks and walks downstairs. I'm close behind her. We walk outside and there's two females obviously vampires and they are chatting happily with Jasper and Peter. I immediately do not trust them and am on guard, I notice Nyx tense up to. We are always on the same wavelength. We both know to trust the others instincts and if both of our instincts are saying the same thing than we know something is really wrong. We each walk up behind our men. I put my arms around Jaspers waist. Nyx grabs Peters hand and winks at him. Jasper tenses but I let it go for the moment, I know its not because of me and I trust him. He smiles at me obviously feeling what I am before he speaks up to the two strangers.
"Alice, Char I want ya'll to meet mine and Peter's mates. This is Hazel.." He kisses my head than points to Nyx. "and that there is Nyx, Peter's mate."
As soon as the words leave his mouth he jumps in front of us, separating us from Alice and Char. He starts growling.
Char starts laughing and Alice speaks up "Jazzy how can those humans be your mates when you know that we are."
Did… Did she just say Jazzy… I look over to Nyx who his eyes go wide than she looks at me. It starts with a giggle. That I soon return. And before long we are in hysterics. Gripping our stomachs laughing so hard. Nyx of course speaks up first "Did she just call you Jazzy? Seriously? What is he five? That's the most ridiculous nickname I've ever heard." Even Peter chuckles. Soon all three of us are laughing hard. I look at Jasper who just pouts at me. Aww. I walk up behind him and put my hand on his shoulder.
"Aww Jazzy." I say but snicker at the same time. "It's okay Jazzy baby." Nyx literally falls to the ground laughing and gasping for air. I see the girl named Alice though and her eyes go black before she opens her mouth and the most high-pitched whining voice comes out.
"How dare you! You are nothing you worthless human. Get your hands off my Jazzy you whore."
I can't help but feel hurt at her words. I've never even met this girl before. Jasper stands up straight with his feet together and a deeper growl than usual and I know it's not Jasper anymore. The Major is out and everyone can feel the anger he's radiating. Alice takes a step back but the Major takes a step forward. "Listen here you prepubescent boy. You will never be my mate. This gorgeous woman behind me is. She is MINE. I love her and if you say one more bad thing about her I will rip out your damn tongue and burn it."
I don't know what I feel more of, love or lust. I'm so turned on by his protectiveness but also he just said he loves me. This wonderful man loves me. Oh god I love him so much, I feel it bursting from me and I try to send it his way and it obviously works. He looks at me and winks. Yes he can feel it. I love you to Jasper. He relaxes a little, and his eyes start to fade back to normal but before they do he says one last thing to Alice.
"Leave, now. While I still allow it. If you ever come back or speak about my mate again I'll kill you."
With that Alice is out the door. Jasper turns to me taking me in his arms kissing deeply. I get lost in him until someone clears their throat when I look up Peter and Nyx are both just smirking at us. I can't even find it in me to blush this time. Jasper loves me and I love him.
I look at Char who is just standing there staring at Peter. I still have a bad feeling about her. She may not have made an ass out of herself like Alice did but you can see she has feelings for Peter. I look up at Jasper quirking my eyebrow and he just nods his head. He knew what I was asking without me having to say anything.
Ignoring everyone in the room Char walks up to Peter hugging him "Hey Pete its good to see you and your.. friend here" Char is clearly glaring at Nyx. Nyx looks at me I just shake my head. She seriously did not just do that I expect Peter to say something but he just completely ignores Char's friend comment.
"Hey Char its so good to see you squirt."
"Pete it's been so long why haven't you come to see me." She's batting her eyelashes at him.
Nyx finally speaks up "Ummmm excuse me Peter, but who is this?" She's glaring at him but he clearly is too oblivious to everything that is going on around him right now.
"Nyx this is Char, Char this is Nyx and you know Jasper and his mate Hazel." Jasper is glaring at Peter too now. Nyx has clearly had enough and I don't blame her I would too if the roles were reversed.
"Well this has been something that's for sure, but I am going to head home now bye Peter." Before anyone can say anything Nyx has run out the door. I am just glaring daggers at Peter who is just looking at me like a deer caught in headlight.
"Umm did I miss something?"
"Seriously Peter you fucked up and you fucked up bad. Have fun with Char here, you two deserve each other." Char just smirks at me. "I'll see you later Jasper." I kiss him on the cheek and run out after Nyx. God I hope she's okay.
