My sick Striped Kitten

A/N: This chapter we seeing lots of bonding between Shadow and Tigeress and learn about Shadow's favorite hobby.

Also, this is a pretty long chapter!

Anyway onto the chapter!

Third person's POV

Tigeress wokeup with a major headache.

'Why does my head hurt so bad,' she thought rubbing her head as she sat up at the edge of the bed.

Then, a faint but noticeable itch appeared in her nose, so she sniffled. This sniffle sounded rather wet and didn't do much to satisfy the itching sensation in her nose. She brought her hand up to rub her nose, but it became clear that this wasn't working, either. Her nose just kept itching, and her nostrils flared up. Quickly, her breath started to hitch as well. She was going to sneeze.

"Aaaah..." Tigeress moved her arm up to her mouth as she tilted her neck back. "Aaaaaaaah... AaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAH..."

By the final inhale, Tigeress had tilted her neck as far back as was possible for her too. Her nostrils were quivering and flaring like crazy.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH-CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

Tigeress shot her neck forwards as she released a huge, loud sneeze that could be probably be heard throughout the entire house. A huge amount of saliva came spraying out of her mouth, and two massive streams of green mucus came firing out of her nostrils. The sneeze was extremely painful to release.

Tigeress recovered from her sneeze, but her nostrils had turned a bright red, and mucus was constantly oozing out of them. She sniffled and rubbed her nose gently with her forefinger.

'Why is my nose so clogged,' she thought walking outside of her room after cleaning the mucus off her nose with a tissue.

'I can't be sick right. I don't get sick that for the weak. It probably clogged from my crying last night,' she thought heading downstairs to see if anyone was up yet.

Meanwhile in the kitchen...

Shadow was just about to finish cooking a pot of breakfast stew for everyone to eat once there all awake. When he suddenly heard the sound of someone about to sneeze.

"Aaaaaah... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh..." Shadow turned to see Tigeress on the stairs with a pre sneeze expression on her face.

'So that loud sneeze earlier was her,' Shadow thought while still looking at Tigeress and turned the stove off once the stew was done.

"AaaaaaAAAAHHHH-CHOOOOO!!" Tigeress doubled over and released a quieter sneeze compare to her one earlier but lost her balance and fell down the stairs.

"Bless you, Shadow said walking over to her to help her out. Tigeress didn't respond she was still rubbing her nose.

Once he reached her he put his hand out to help her up.

"Thank you," she said grabbing his hand as he helped her up.

"Are you okay?" He asked once she was standing back up.

She was unable to respond because another sneeze was coming.

"Aaaah..." Tigeress breath hitched as she tilted her neck back. "Aaaaaaaah... AaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAH..."

"AaaaaaaAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH-CHEEEWWWW!" Tigeress shot forward and released a loud sneeze, and a small amountof saliva shot out of her mouth and a small amount of mucus shot out her nose, but she forgot to cover so sneezed. By the time she recovered from the sneeze, she saw a thin layer of mucus on Shadow's face. Tigeress face flush of embarrassment and hope he wasn't upset.

"Sorry I forgot to cover my sneeze, " she said rubbing her nose with her forefinger and blushing.

"Bless you and it okay it was an accident, "Shadow said wiping the mucus off his face.

'He not mad that I just sneeze on him,' Tigeress thought.

"Thank you, " she said rubbing her nose.

"You're welcome, but are you feeling okay?" He asked noticing her nose was red.

"Yeah, something just tickling my nose, " she replied sounding congestion.

'She really doesn't seem okay. She sounds very congested. I should have her go back upstairs to rest,' Shadow thought.

"You should lay down you really don't look so good. Come on let's get you upstairs, " Shadow said putting an arm around her shoulder and helping her walk upstairs.

"I *cough* don't *cough* need to *cough* rest I'm fine, " she said while Shadow helps her upstairs.

Shadow just annoyed her comment and continue walking upstairs. While she coughed a few times.

"Come on you can lay down in my room, " Shadow said stopping right in front of his bedroom door.

Tigeress was about to respond but her nose started twitching and her nostrils were flaring up again. She was going to sneeze again. So she turned her head away from Shadow's face so she wouldn't sneeze on him and was now facing the door.

"Aaaaaah... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh..." Tigeress breath hitched as she tilted her neck back. "AaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..."

By the final inhale, Tigeress had tilted her neck as far back as possible for her too. Her nostrils were quivering and flaring like crazy.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

Tigeress shot her neck forwards as she released a massive, and powerful loud sneeze firing a good amount of mucus from her nose. The sneeze was strong enough to blow the door right open. Tigeress sniffed and rubbed her nose with her forefinger.

"Wow, bless you, " Shadow said shocked on how loud and powerful that sneeze was.

"Thank you, " She replied.

"You're welcome. I will be surprised if the others haven't heard that sneeze. Anyway let's get you in bed, " Shadow said walking her into the room and closing the door.

Tigeress looked around the room and saw he had paintings hanging on his wall. She then saw the canvas with dry paint on it. She then realizes that he painted them himself and that they were well detailed.

'Wow he a great artist. Also, look at me letting him drag me to bed. Why do I still have to love him so much that I'm not annoyed at him treating me weak just cause I'm sneezing. I shouldn't still love him he choose Lin and will leave once he puts me in bed to rest,' Tigeress thought still thinking he said yes to Lin.

"Alright rest. I let the others know you're sick. Then bring you some breakfast. There a box of tissues on the table next to you. I will also take your temperature also when I get back."

"Okay, so you are not going anywhere today?" Tigeress asked.

"No, I just see my uncle as soon as your better. Did you really think that I would leave when you're sick?" Shadow asked.

"No of course not, " Tigeress replied before coughing.

'Yes, I did. You sure didn't check to see how I was last night,' Tigeress thought grabbing a tissue.

"Good well I will be right back, " Shadow said leaving the room.

Shadow walked out of the room and saw the others in the hall leaving there room.

"Good morning, " he greeted.

"Good morning Shadow, " Shifu said.

"Morning Shadow, " Viper said.

"Yeah morning dude, " Po said waving at Shadow.

"Morning, " Monkey and Mantis both said.

"Good morning Shadow, " Crane said.

"Where Tigeress is she still sleeping?" Viper asked.

"She is in my room laying down. She came down with a cold. I take care of her, so you all can into the village and do whatever you want. She will be in hands with me, " Shadow said.

"Okay we might just explore the village some more, " Viper said.

"So that who being sneezing so loud," Monkey and Mantis said.

"Sounds great. You should try out some of the restaurants. Also yes that was her. Anyway, I'm going to get Tigeress to something to eat, " Shadow said walking downstairs.

Meanwhile back in Shadow's room...

Tigeress was laying in bed waiting for Shadow to come back with breakfast. After a couple more minutes of waiting, he was finally back with a bowl of stew.

"Alright, here breakfast, " he said heading her the bowl.

"Thank you, " she said sitting up and taking the bowl. "So did you tell the others that I was sick."

"Yeah, there going to explore the village. So it just be me and you, " he replied sitting on the floor. "Just put the bowl on the table when you are done."

Tigeress nodded and began eating her bowl of stew. Once she was done she put the bowl on the table next to the box of tissues. When Shadow saw she was done eating he went to grab the thermometer from the bathroom to check her temperature.

"Let's check your temperature," he said opening her mouth and putting the thermometer under her tongue. Once it beeped he removed it from her mouth.

"Your temperature is 102. Just like I thought you have a cold," he said. "You're staying in bed for a while."

Tigeress sniffed and grabbed a tissue to blow her nose. "Okay," she said with a sigh.

"I will be over here working on my painting. Let me know if you need anything. Also, let me know if the paint smell bothers you. If it does I will take this somewhere else." Shadow said sitting down in the chair by his canvas.

"Okay, " she said before blowing her nose. "You know you are a really nice painter," she said throwing her tissue away.

"Thanks. Painting helps me to relax. Before my parents died. I would paint all the time when I ever had a nightmare. It got me to calm back down. Also just did it because it was fun, " Shadow said while painting his picture.

"Nice. What *cough* is it *cough* an painting of can't tell since it looks like you just started painting it?" She asked.

"Once it finished it will be a painting of the women I love, " he replied.

'So he is painting a picture of Lin,' Tigeress thought.

Tigeress nose started to twitch, and her nostrils started to flare up. She sniffled sharply and rubbed her nostrils with her hand, but that didn't seem to help.

"Aaaaaaah..." Tigeress's breath hitched as she tilted her neck slightly back. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh..." She tilted her neck further back and then raised her forefinger to her nostrils. She hoped that that would stop the sneeze, but it wasn't working. She really didn't want to sneeze and cause Shadow to accidentally mess up his painting. "AaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAH... AaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH..."

"Tigeress, you shouldn't try to hold your sneezes back," Shadow warned putting his paintbrush down. "It just won't work, plus it not good for you. So you have to let them out.

"I-don't want... AaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... T-to... M-make...y-you... R-ruin...your...pai- painting... AaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH...!" Tigeress continued to hold his forefinger under her nose.

"Don't worry about it. I put the paintbrush down. Besides I could just start over. Plus this woman will be beautiful no matter what. She already is no matter what. Now just sneeze, " Shadow said.

Since her nose was so irritated, Tigeress had no choice but to obey his command. Besides, this sneeze was going to be one of her biggest ones ever. Tigeress tilted her neck as far back as she could, giving a final inhale.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

Tigeress shot her neck forwards as the sneeze finally escaped from her body, firing a huge amount of saliva and mucus from her mouth and nose. Shadow cringed when he heard the sneeze. He was completely shocked at how loud that was compared to her other sneezes.

After several seconds had gone by, Tigeress recovered from the sneeze, but a huge amount of mucus was pouring out of her nose. She sniffled wetly and rubbed her nose on her forefinger repeatedly.

"My goodness bless you, " he said grabbing her a tissue so she could blow her nose.

"Thanks, " She said congested and taking the tissue to blow her nose. The mucus was cleared from her nose but it was still was stuffy and itchy.

"You're welcome, " Shadow said as he went to continue his painting.

"Can I have some tea?" Tigeress asked.

"Of course. Also, let me know when you're ready for lunch, " Shadow said standing up to leave and make Tigeress some tea.

"Ok but that won't be for a while. I just ate ten minutes ago, " she said before blowing her nose again.

"I know just reminding you to let me know if you need anything. Anyway be right back, " Shadow said leaving the room and taking the empty bowl with him.

Shadow was now in the kitchen about to make Tigeress until he heard a knock on his door. So he quickly went to see who it was. When she opened it she saw Lin carrying a basket of herbs.

"Hey, Lin what brings. You here?" He asked.

"I was finishing my morning walk and heard sneezing. So I brought some herbs to make tea to help make whoever is sick feel a little better. I know it not you since you barely get sick, " Lin said giving Shadow the basket.

"Thanks this should help Tigeress feel better. The herbs. I guess the herbs help to reduce a fever and congestion."

"Yeah they do, " she said. "Tell Tigeress I said bless you and to feel better soon. Also, guess you're going to see you, uncle, once she better."

"Yeah, we still have time. He most likely still in a lot of pain after using that orb, " he said. "Also I will tell her what you said. Also glad you're not still sore after yesterday."

"Yeah well goodbye, " she said waving bye.

"Bye."

Once she was gone. Shadow closed the door and went to make the herb tea. Once it was finished he went back upstairs and took it Tigeress.

"Thanks," she said accepting the cup of tea.

"Your welcome, " Shadow said walking over to finish his painting. "Lin brought some herbs over since she heard sneezing. I put them in the tea. It should help bring your fever down and with the congestion. You still need pretty of rest though. If you want to get better. Also, she said bless you and to feel better."

'Wow, she is being nice to me now. Just she is in a good mood since Shadow said yes to going out with her,' Tigeress thought.

"Well next time. I see her I will thank her." Tigeress said before drinking some of her tea.

Shadow nodded and continue painting. "By the way, I meant to ask you this earlier. How is your stomach feeling from yesterday?" Shadow asked?

"It feels a lot better now, " she replied.

"That good. You mind telling me what had you so distracted yesterday?" He asked.

"Don't worry it was nothing important, " she said yawning.

"That a lie. If it wasn't important you wouldn't have been distracted. Anyway, you sound sleepy so take a nap. We continue this talk later."

Tigeress nodded and finished the last of her tea. Then started drifting off to sleep.

'Sleep well beautiful,' Shadow thought smiling at Tigeress now sleeping form.

Shadow was putting the finishing touches on his painting. When he heard Tigeress moving around in bed. So he turned to look at her and saw her tossing and turning in her sleep.

'She must be having a nightmare. It common to have nightmares when you have a fever, ' Shadow thought while finishing off his painting.

"No, Shadow don't leave, " she whispered in her sleep.

'Wait she dreaming. I left her?' Shadow thought confused.

"Tigeress wake up. Your just having a nightmare, " Shadow shaking her awake.

"Shadow! No, don't leave me!" Tigeress shot up screaming and panting.

"Relax it was just a nightmare. I'm still here, " Shadow said rubbing circles on her back. She took a few deep breaths a called down.

"You okay?" He asked concerned and pulling her close to him.

"Yeah, " she said leaning comfort.

'Why is he letting me rest close to him when he dating Lin. Are does he just let all his friends do this is that why he wasn't annoyed at Lin yesterday when she was leaning against.' Tigeress thought.

"You sure you look like you were having a nightmare. You mind telling why you had a nightmare about me leaving you, " he asked sitting on the bed next to her after making room for them both of them.

Tigeress was going to respond but her nose started to twitch, and her nostrils started to flare up. Shadow notice and brought a tissue up to her nose.

"Aahh, aaaaaahhhhhh..." Tigeress tilted her neck back twice as she inhaled. Then she gave a larger inhale, tilting her neck as far back as possible. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Tigeress shot her neck forwards as she released the sneeze, which was incredibly large and loud into the tissue Shadow's was holding against her nose. After at least two seconds had gone by, Tigeress recovered from the sneeze and took the tissue from Shadow to wipe her nose.

"Bless you, " Shadow said.

"Thanks, " she said balling up the tissue.

"Your welcome. So what was with the nightmare?" He asked picking up the trash bin. So she could throw the tissue away. She nodded her thanks and then leaned back into his hold.

'I guess I should tell him. Maybe Master Shifu was right maybe he doesn't love Lin. I can't see who he painted since he turned it to face the window probably to have the sunlight to dry the paint,' she thought.

"Well just that I really like you a lot, " she said.

"As a friend or something more?" He asked.

"What I'm saying is that. I love you, " she said blushing. "But I don't think you will ever feel the same way."

'She in love with me but doesn't think I will feel the same way. She is so very wrong,' Shadow thought.

"Why do you think that?" He asked.

"Well in my dream. You told me you never love a monster like me. So you left me. Besides aren't you Lin a couple now."

Shadow laughed.

"What so funny?"

"I'm not dating Lin. Wait a minute is that why you were so out of it yesterday. You thought I was in love with Lin?"

"So you don't love her. So who were you painting then? Also yes that was why."

"I show you. I call it my beautiful striped kitten, " he replied walking over to his painting after getting off the bed.

'Striped kitten?' Tigeress thought.

"Why is that?" She asked.

"See for yourself, " he said showing her the painting.

Tigeress eyes widen when she saw a beautiful orange Tiger. That was dressed up as an angel. With the background painted red.

'She looks so beautiful. I never knew he met another tiger and one who so beautiful,' Tigeress thought not realizing that it was her.

"Wow, beautiful, " Tigeress said.

"Yep. That what I think every day. I look at you my beautiful striped kitten, " he said smiling at her.

Her eyes widened shocked. She couldn't believe that was her.

"Wait a minute that me?" She asked.

"Of course. I don't know any other tiger."

"It can't be I'm not an angel or that beautiful, " she said.

"You are that beautiful. What gives you the impression that your not?"

"Every since I was a kid in the orphanage. Adults and the other kids called me a monster. They were all afraid of me expect Master Shifu who adopted me. Monsters aren't beautiful and definitely not angels."

"Your wrong you are beautiful and your not a monster. Yeah, you can be aggressive at times, but once you come out that tough shell of yours. You can be very caring. I admit you scared me at first but at the same time. I thought I was heaven by how beautiful you were. That why I could stay the fact you didn't like me. I may act like I don't get upset when others are rude, but that mainly because my parents always told me not to let it show that it gets to me or they continue being rude knowing I'm an easy target." Shadow said walking over to Tigress and kissing her forehead.

"So you mean you been in love with me the whole time?"

"Yep, my beautiful striped kitten."

"So then will you be my boyfriend?"

"Of course, " he replied kissing her lips.

"You get sick, " she said pushing him away.

"It okay. I don't get sick that often."

Tigeress stomach growled. "I'm hungry can you make me lunch my handsome new boyfriend?"

"Of course, be right back. You just lay down and relax my striped kitten." Shadow said heading out the room to make Tigeress a bowl of soup.

"Thanks," she said.

While Shadow was making her lunch. Tigeress with back to taking a nap. Since she was still kind of tired.

When Shadow came back with a bowl of soup. He saw Tigeress sleeping peacefully. So he put the bowl on the table next to the tissue and waited for her to wake. After a few minutes, she woke up since she could smell the bowl of the root.

"That smells good, " she said looking at the soup.

"Glad you think so eat up."

"Thanks for the soup but did you eat yet?"

"Yeah, I ate some bean buns. While the soup was cooking."

Tigeress nodded and began eating her soup. After a few minutes, she was all done and put it back the empty bowl on the table.

"Well, I'm going back to sleep. Love you, baby, and thanks for taking care of me. "

"Your welcome. I'm going to take a nap with you, " he said getting in bed with her and pulling her close.

The two of them slept until dinner time. Then went back to sleep after eating dinner.

-Timeskip-

After a while of exploring the village. Master Shifu and the others were finally back. They all went to Shadow's room to see how Tigeress was doing and Saw Shadow and Tigeress holding each other in there sleep.

"So cute they fell asleep together, " Viper said.

"Hey looking it a painting of Tigeress dress as an angel, " Po said quietly not wake up the two.

"It is who knew the guy could paint. He has a lot of paintings, " Crane said looking around the room.

"I love you my beautiful striped kitten. Feel better soon, " Shadow whispered in his sleep.

"His what?" Po asked.

"I believe he called Tigeress his beautiful striped kitten. Just as I thought he doesn't love Lin he loves Tigeress and by the way, she smiling after he whispered that. She must finally realize she was wrong about him loving Lin. Plus the picture is a giveaway, " Master Shifu said.

"Cute well we should go so the new couple can sleep in peace, " Viper said.

"Viper right let's go, " Master Shifu said as they left the room.
