Ch 16 The Plan in Motion

Back at the Shredder's lair Leo was anxious. The blue masked turtle was having trouble sleeping. After tossing and turning for a while he finally gave up on sleeping. "I have far to much anger to sleep," he said to himself as he got out of bed and exited the room. "The Master says training makes you stronger," he thought as he entered the dojo. "So training is what I'm going to do." With that Leo began punching the punching bag over and over all the while cursing Hamato Yoshi and his family's names. After going at for a few minutes Leo felt someone grab his shoulder roughly and spin him around. Leo's light brown eyes went wide when he saw himself looking into the face of Dog-Pound. "Get the Hell off of me Bradford," Leo snarled, yanking away from the mutant wolf.

"What are you doing in here?" Dog-Pound demanded.

"What does it look like dipshit?" Leo spat out. "I'm training. Like the Master wants me too. Not that its any of your damn business." With that Leo turned his back to Dog-Pound. Dog-Pound went to say more but just then the dojo door burst opened and Tiger Claw entered.

"The Master wants you both in his room," the assassin growled. "Now." Without waiting for a response Tiger Claw turned and exited the room. Leo glared at Dog-Pound but said nothing as he too exited the dojo.

Minutes later Leo and Dog-Pound were in the Shredder's room where Snakeskin was already. The pair knelt before the Shredder and bowed their heads. "Master what do you wish of us?" Leo asked.

"Hamato Yoshi is on his way here," Shredder said, causing Leo to jerk his head up in surprise.

"Master are you sure?" the blue masked turtle asked.

"Quite sure," was Shredder's response. "The Foot Soldiers that I have patrolling have informed me of strange activity. My senses tell me it is my old enemy."

"Do you want us to take him out?" Dog-Pound asked, cracking his knuckles.

"You're such an idiot," Leo scoffed, rolling his light brown eyes. "Hamato Yoshi would make mince meat out of you in two seconds flat." Dog-Pound snarled at Leo but said nothing.

"This is true," Shredder said. "Which is why I want Bradford and Xever to lure Hamato Yoshi to the combat room." Just the Tiger Claw entered the room.

"Master he is here," the assassin informed Shredder.

"Go," Shredder ordered Dog-Pound and Snakeskin.

"Yes Master," the pair said, bowing as they exited the room.

"Master what do you wish me to do?" Leo asked.

"Come with me," Shredder demanded as he stood. "Tiger Claw you come too. I have a special plan in mind."

"Yes Master," the duo said as they followed Shredder out of the room.

Meanwhile back at the lair Mikey couldn't sleep. The orange masked turtles kept thinking about Leo and what could be happening to him. "This sucks," the thirteen year old grumbled as he sat up and threw back the covers. "I need to find a way of getting Leo back. But how do I do that?" With these thoughts Mikey go up and exited his room. But when he opened the door to his surprise he saw Karai and Donnie there. "Whoa!" Mikey gasped, backing up a step. "You guys like scared the crap out of me."

"Sorry Mikey," Donnie said, his voice low. "But we were just coming to get you."

"What's up D?" Mikey whispered back.

"Father's gone," the purple masked turtle informed his younger brother. "I just went to check on him and his room was empty. All of his weapons are gone too."

"Dude that means Father went to rescue Leo alone!" Mikey exclaimed, his light brown eyes going wide once again.

"Shh," Donnie hissed. "Keep your voice down Mikey. I don't want Mom or Raph waking up."

"Sorry," Mikey whispered. "So like what are we gonna do?"

"We're going to help him," Karai declared. "And we're leaving right now."

"Count me in," Mikey said, running in his room and grabbing his nunchakus. "Lets do this guys," the youngest turtle said, a determined look on his face. With that the trio got in the Shell Raiser and headed out, hoping they wouldn't be too late to help Yoshi.

Meanwhile Yoshi had entered the warehouse and was staying hidden in the shadows using his keen sense of smell to catch the scent of any enemy he may come across. After darting from one shadowy place to another Yoshi caught the scent of Dog-Pound and Snakeskin. But Dog-Pound had also caught Yoshi's scent and let out a growl and motioned for Snakeskin to slither though the creates and go behind Yoshi. The purple skinned snake did as he was told as Dog-Pound climbed up the side of the creates and jumped down in front of Yoshi, startling the brown coated rat. "So you're the famous Hamato Yoshi," the brown and white wolf growled, baring his teeth at Yoshi and looking him up and down. "Pathetic."

"I will show you who the pathetic one is," Yoshi growled back as he got into a fighting stance. But just then Snakeskin whipped his tail hard, taking Yoshi's feet out from underneath him. Yoshi hit the ground hard and looked up just in time to see Dog-Pound bring his large fist down. Yoshi lept to the side at the last minute, narrowly avoiding getting hit. Yoshi acted quickly and slid between Dog-Pound's legs, taking the mutant wolf to the ground. Yoshi quickly got to his feet and grabbed Dog-Pound by his arm and launched him into Snakeskin, taking both mutants down. "Enough of these games!" Yoshi snarled, going over to the pair and grabbing them off the ground. "Where is my son?!" Yoshi demanded.

"You're already to late," Snakeskin hissed, glaring at Yoshi with hate filled yellow eyes. Before Yoshi could respond Snakeskin spat venom at the mutant rat. Yoshi jumped back to avoid getting the toxin on him. This caused him to loosen his grip on Dog-Pound and Snakeskin and they used this to their advantage and broke free. They wanted to fight but they remembered what Shredder had ordered them to do. So they headed towards the combat room with Yoshi hot on their heels.

Moments later Yoshi had entered the combat room only to find it seemingly empty. Staying on high alert Yoshi looked and sniffed around for any signs of someone being in the room. But he didn't have to wait for long before he heard Shredder's voice boom: "Hamato Yoshi! We meet again!" Yoshi spun around and saw Shredder standing in front of him with Tiger Claw right beside him.

"Oroku Saki," Yoshi growled, glaring at his former friend. "I will make this short. Give me my son! Now! Or I promise you I will end each and every one of you!" Yoshi's threats didn't phase Shredder, who only glared back at his enemy.

"If you want your son then take him," Shredder said coldly. Yoshi's brown eyes widened when he heard the armor clad man say this.

"No games Saki," Yoshi warned.

"Oh this is no game rat," a voice from the shadows said. Yoshi's eyes widened once again as he instantly recognized the voice. Turning Yoshi saw Leo emerging from the shadows. To Yoshi's shock Leo's blue mask was gone and he had a black mask on instead.

"Leonardo," Yoshi whispered.

"Hello Father," came Leo's cold voice. Before Yoshi could respond Leo raised his fist and struck Yoshi hard, sending the rat crashing to the floor. Yoshi looked up at Leo with wide brown eyes.

"My son," Yoshi began. "Please..."

"I am not your son anymore!" Leo snarled, kicking Yoshi hard in his side sending Yoshi skidding across the ground. Leo stormed up to Yoshi and put his foot on Yoshi's chest and put his katana to Yoshi's neck. "And now Hamato Yoshi," Leo said coldly. "You will die!" With that Leo raised his katana to end Yoshi's life.
