Hey! sorry that took long. my mom's bday is coming soon, so i was busy making a gift. and my friend's bday too! :)
Okay, so I think I finally figured out why it won't let me put the teacher's name. Since links aren't allowed in the story, and i put a period in the middle of "Ms" and "Bustier", it confuses it with a link. I tried something else in this chapter, let me know if it shows up or not. Also in the previous chapter, there was a scene that went like this:
"I think just defeating the villain would be a better idea," laughed Alya.
"Yeah, like it's so easy," said Marinette sarcastically. "The villains just get harder every time."
"Well, with the exception of ," Adrien pointed out, smiling.
Marinette laughed. "Agreed!"
It was supposed to say "Mr Pigeon", but it didn't show up because of the period, again it might be confusing it for a link, thats my guess at least.
anyways, at least there's an Adrienette kiss in this chapter-OOPS did I just say that?! Oh well. Okie then i'll just respond to the reveiws because now that i said that, im pretty sure you wont read any more author note. :P

Chapter 23: Dark Cupid part 1
For some reason, Abby took pleasure in torturing Marinette and Adrien, which always filled her with glee. Abby giggled to herself as she realized what episode they were about to watch. It was the perfect time to strike…
"Heyy everyone!" Abby called out to them.
Marinette sighed in relief. She was saved. Abby must have watched this episode, she must know that there was NO WAY her classmates could watch it. She gave a grateful smile to Abby, who raised her eyebrows.
"Sooo, Marinette..Are you excited for this episode?" Abby wiggled her eyebrows.
Marinette glared at her. She should have known.."Can we please not watch it!"
"Why, are you afraid that they'll all see you kiss-"
"AAAAA BE QUIET!" yelled Marinette, blushing a very bright shade of pink.
"WAIT, SHE KISSED SOMEONE?" Alya jumped out of her seat, eyes wide.
"NO!" Marinette yelled.
"YOU KISSED SOMEONE?" Adrien yelled, even louder.
"ABBYYYYYY!" Marinette gave her an "i'll kill you" look.
Abby winked. "Okay, I shouldn't keep you waiting then...don't die!"
Before Marinette could blink, Abby had disappeared.
Adrien had a very suspicious look on his face. "Is she lying, or did you really-"
Marinette groaned and sank down low in her seat. "Let's just get this over with.."
She pressed play and let the episode begin.
Scene: Collège Françoise Dupont. Miss Bustier is teaching Literature class.
Miss Bustier: In most fairy tales, the prince breaks the spell by kissing the princess. Can anyone tell us why?
"Oh! This is on Valentines day! Yay, they have an episode for it," said Rose happily.
Rose: (stands up, swoons) Because only love can conquer hate!
Alix looked away in disgust. "Ugh, gross!"
Miss Bustier: Correct, Rose.
Max: Technically speaking, this reasoning is only exhibited in about 87% of all fairy tales and-
Chloe snickered. "Typical you.."
"But I was right!" Max reasoned.
Miss Bustier: Thank you, Max. That's enough.
(Marinette is looking over Adrien's shoulders as he writes a letter.)
"Nosy," Alya teased.
"Hey! He was writing a love letter, what did you expect?" said Marinette. "Wait, who was it for?"
Adrien smiled. "You'll see...it's the most ironic thing yet. Probably the first thing I thought about after we revealed our identities."
Miss Bustier: Adrien, I hope what you're writing has to do with my lesson.
"Obviously not," Miss Bustier sighed.
Adrien grinned sheepishly. "Sorry.."
Marinette: (gasps)
Miss Bustier: (approaches Adrien) Can you tell me what I just said?
Adrien: That's why in most fairy tales, the prince breaks the spell by kissing the princess because only love conquers hate.
"But you were writing the letter.." said Alya.
Adrien laughed. "I can pay attention at the same time. I happen to be good at multitasking."
Miss Bustier: Very good, Adrien! Now, everyone, don't forget to finish Sleeping Beauty by Charles Perrault tonight, and happy Valentine's day, students!
"I never did read it!" Rose admitted. "I was too excited for Valentine's day!"
Marinette: (to Alya) Hey, go ahead, I'll meet you outside.
"Gonna spy on Adrien?" Alix snickered.
Alya: Mhm.
(Marinette continues to look over Adrien's shoulder as he continues to write his letter before Adrien crumples it up, stands up and tosses the letter in the garbage can.)
"That was probably the hundredth draft I threw away. It had to be perfect," Adrien smiled.
Chloé: Hi Adrien, sign here please.
"Don't do it.." Marinette warned him.
"Too late," Adrien sighed.
Adrien: (sighs) Oh, come on, you know I hate signing autographs, Chloé.
"Probably the first celebrity who I heard say that," Nino laughed.
Chloé: Oh, that's not what this is. This is a petition against cruelty to hamsters. Have you seen some of the ugly sweaters they are forced to wear? It's appalling.
"That is the worst excuse ever," said Marinette, forcing back a laugh. "Did you actually believe it?"
Adrien blushed. "Well, umm.."
(Adrien begrudgingly signs the poster. Chloé hugs the poster and Sabrina smiles before they notice Marinette who is digging through a trash can as she pulls out a sheet of paper.)
"You dug," said Alya. "Through a trash can to find his letter? How desperate are you, girl?"
Marinette giggled. "Very.."
"Wait a minute.." Adrien's eyes were wide. "I got a response to my letter..and you picked it up. Was it...you?"
Marinette smiled. "You'll see, just like you told me."
Chloé: (mockingly) Well well, Marinette, looking for something to eat?
Sabrina: Maybe she's looking for some better clothes!
(Both laugh before running off)
"Rude!" Alya scowled.
"Yeah, give people a break, Chloe!" Alix scoffed.
Marinette: Ughhh!
Tikki: Don't give them the time of day, they don't deserve it.
"She's right, they don't deserve it," Alix rolled her eyes.
Marinette: You're right, Tikki. (begins to read the letter) "Your hair is dark as night, your pretty bluebell eyes, I wonder who you are beneath that strong disguise. Every day we see each other and I hope that you'll be mine, together our love could be so true, please, will you be my Valentine?"
Rose's eyes were wide. "It's SO CUTE! That is SO romantic!" she swooned happily.
"Dude, I never knew you were so good with poetry!" Nino exclaimed.
Adrien blushed. "Oh, umm..thanks."
Marinette's eyes were wide. If the poem was meant for Ladybug-for her, then that meant that all those things he said in the poem were..for her! Adrien had basically declared his love to her!
Ugh, Marinette! She told herself. Take that stupid dorky smile off your face!
Tikki: Whoa, now that's a love poem.
"It's a love poem alright.." Alya laughed. "One of the sweetest I've heard!"
Marinette: Who could he be talking about? Hair as dark as night, bluebell eyes?
Everyone groaned and facepalmed.
"COULD YOU LITERALLY BE ANY MORE OBLIVIOUS?" Alya yelled in exasperation.
"Wow, I do sound stupid..how did I not realize that I had bluebell eyes and dark hair?" Marinette shook her head.
Adrien grinned. "Who could he be talking about? Then you name the most obvious two things about yourself!"
"Don't rub it in!" she shoved him playfully.
Tikki: Uh... you?
"Well, at least she has common sense," Chloe huffed. "Unlike someone.."
Marinette: (laughs nervously) Me? No way. There are plenty of girls at school with dark hair and blue eyes.
"That is true, but he said bluebell eyes..I can't think of anyone else with bluebell eyes," said Nino.
"You know what's super weird about all this?" Adrien laughed. "I was talking about her, but I wasn't talking about her. I mean, it was her I was talking about..but I didn't know that..oh god, this is so weird!"
"Tell me about it," Alya sighed, smiling. "Marinette thought it was her, but it wasn't..at the same time it was, you meant Ladybug, but she didn't know that you were talking about Ladybug and you didn't know that she is Ladybug!"
"Ugh, stop! All this makes my brain hurt!" Plagg yawned. "Why is love so complicated?"
Tikki: Yeah, but bluebell eyes...
Marinette: What do you think he means by "strong disguise"?
"HA, he literally meant 'disguise', as in your Ladybug costume!" Alix laughed at the irony.
Tikki huffed. "And I thought it was just poetry, but it was actually LITERAL?"
Tikki: (sighs) This is poetry. He means who you are deep down inside. He wants to get to know you Marinette! He's talking about you!
"In a weird way, without knowing it..I was!" Adrien laughed. "Are we like soulmates or something?"
"Of course we are. You haven't figured that out already?" Marinette joked, planting a small kiss on his cheek. Adrien blushed.
Marinette: (laughs and jumps up and down excitedly) Pinch me!
(Zoom out to the outside of the classroom. Marinette continues to laugh until she shrieks)
Marinette: Not literally!
Everyone laughed. Tikki rolled her eyes. "We kwamiis have been around since dinosaurs. I didn't know that humans say the opposite of things to mean that thing! It's so weird."
"What?" Alya laughed. "No we don't!"
"Yeah, you do!" Plagg argued. "You people say 'sick' when something is awesome! And from what I know, sick means bad, not good!"
Marinette laughed. "Ok, fine I can't argue with that. But it's just modern slang.."
"I don't love it either," Miss Bustier grumbled.
(Zoom back into Marinette rubbing her arm, with Tikki giggling.)
Scene: Outside of Collège Françoise Dupont. Marinette laughs with Alya while holding the letter. They two are exiting the school Switch to Max standing on the sidewalk with Kim.
Max: Operation Valentine's Day is commencing. According to my extensive research and cross-referencing of online shopping sites, this particular jewel, (Max reveals a heart box hiding behind his back) was ranked highest in popularity.(He hands the box to Kim.)
"You even need research for that?" Chloe sneered. Then her expression softened. "But it's actually kinda pretty!"
"How come you refused me when I gave it to you, then?" Kim asked quietly.
"What?" Chloe looked confused. "I don't remember."
Kim resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Well, this episode will help you remember."
Kim: (laughs) That's perfect, Max! I better hit a home run with this one. Love is like baseball, right? You gotta have a strategy or you'll strike out. (Alya spots Max and Kim's conversation and gets excited. She grabs Marinette and drags her over to the boys.) But if you aim right, you'll hit it out of the ball park. Score!
"What a sweet way to describe love! I love it!" Rose cried.
Max: Oh yes Kim, lovely metaphor.
"Umm, what's a metaphor again?" asked Chloe, a little embarrassed.
"Maybe you should do your own homework for once and you'd know," Alya smirked.
Chloe groaned. "Ughh.."
Kim: (eyeing the gem inside the box) Meta-who?
"You don't know either? How dumb are you people?" Alya joked.
Alya: (grabs Kim's hands and looks at the jewel) Ooh! Sparkly! Is that for moi?
"It's called privacy, Alya.." Nino laughed.
"Oh, yeah," Alya blushed.
Max: (annoyed) Negative Alya. The recipient of this gem has already been determined, it's-
Kim: (grabs Max and cuts him off) Shh! Keep it on the down-low!
"Oh come on, he couldn't say it! Why is this show so irritating sometimes?" Nino sighed in exasperation.
Alya: (excited) Scoop! Kim's got a major crush! (takes picture with phone) Who's the lucky lady?
Marinette: (pushes Alya's arm down) It's gorgeous Kim. She's gonna be ecstatic! (Alya giggles)
"Isn't that a more supportive way to go about it?" Marinette giggled. "Poor Kim, the way you were just yelling at him with questions."
"Yeah, sorry about that," Alya laughed.
Kim: (rubs back of head uncomfortably) Technically, she's still gotta accept it. (grabs Max) What if she says "no"!?
"Stop saying "she" it's driving me crazy! Who is it, tell me already!" Nino begged.
Kim sighed. "You'll see."
Marinette: (Alya looks around worriedly) She won't Kim, no way! (pumps fist) Don't hold back, Kim. Go for it, no regrets!'
"Someone is very positive today," Adrien joked. "Too bad you can't take your own advice."
Marinette went pink. "Ugh, stop! We're together now, at least that's what matters," she shoved him teasingly.
Adrien laughed. "Yeah, you're right!"
Kim: Operation Valentine's Day is underway! (high-five's Max)
Max: (Kim jogging in place, holding a map) Her route is highlighted here in yellow, yours in red. If you run at ten miles per hour you're going to gain a four and a half minute advance on her. Halt and wait here facing northwest - the third most romantic spot in Paris. (Marinette and Alya thumbs up behind Max) Go go go!
"With all that information you could literally stalk someone," Chloe pointed out.
"Not that I'd ever try to," Max defended.
Alya laughed. "You're all forgetting something. Who's the expert stalker out of all of us?"
The entire class laughed at this.
Marinette groaned. "Oh come on, just let it go already!"
Alya giggled. "Never."
Kim: Thanks, you guys. (runs away)
Alya: (elbows Marinette) I know someone who's good at dishing out advice who can't take some herself.
"I agree, dude! How long were you going to hold back from telling him?" Nino shook his head. "And you too, Adrien!"
Adrien put his hands up. "Hey! I did tell her. She rejected me because she was in love with "someone else", right Marinette?"
Marinette giggled. "Right!"
"You two are so cute!" cried Rose.
Alix sighed. "And unbelievable!"
"And irritating," Alya added.
(Alya points to Adrien who enters the car.)
Adrien: Let's go.
(The door shuts and Adrien's bodyguard drives away.)
Marinette: You're right. It's time I told him.
"For your information, it was "time you told him" from the very first time you developed feelings for him..and second of all I'm guessing that didn't go well?" Alix laughed.
Marinette sighed. "I was so close!"
"What else could I expect?" Alix smacked her forehead.
Alya: Say what?!
"Why do you sound so surprised?" Adrien asked.
"Because Marinette admitting her feelings to you is near impossible. If you hadn't revealed, she would have spent her whole life crushing on you. And being as oblivious as you are, you would have never found out."
"HEY!" Adrien defended. Then he thought about it. He'd missed all the obvious signs and had been really dumb.. "Ok fine you're right, can't argue with that," he admitted, laughing.
Marinette: I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna tell Adrien my true feelings. Well... I'm gonna write them on a card, that is.
"I'm betting my life that she forgot to sign it," Adrien laughed. "If I'm wrong then that will come as a big surprise."
Marinette blushed red with embarrassment. "It was an accident!"
Alya: (looks shocked then laughs) Yeah!
Marinette: Yeah! (they fist bump)
Alya & Marinette: Operation Valentine's Day! (they perform a handshake and run off. Cut to Aurore, Mireille and various other girls ogling over a poster of Adrien.)
Girls: He's so cute!
Adrien sighed. "I'm used to this..but my heart only belongs to one girl."
Marinette giggled. She'd never imagined Adrien to say that, but he had just said it..she was living in a dream.
Chloé: Keep dreaming all you want girls but the boy is mine.
(Sabrina nods before unrolling the poster, the girls gasping)
Aurore: To Chloé, the most awesome girl in the world and the love of my life. Signed, Adrien.
Adrien nearly choked. "What? I did NOT-Wait a minute..is this the poster you asked me to sign?"
Chloe laughed nervously. "Maybe.."
Adrien sighed. She was hopeless..
"Well, never do that again," he told her, frowning.
"I won't," she promised, giving him a smile that he returned.
(All the girls begin to cry)
Chloé: Uh, she's not crying enough.
(Sabrina brings the poster towards the one girl who is not crying causing her to cry even more as Chloé and Sabrina laugh.)
Adrien frowned. "Chloe, that's so mean."
"I know," she said quietly, ashamed.
He shook his head and sighed helplessly. "I already told you that you need to start being nice.."
"I'm trying," she said, looking down.
"And anyways, it's not like we can change the past. This all happened before we came here. We can't really do anything about it" Marinette said, coming to Chloe's defense.
Scene: Marinette's room. Marinette tries to write a love letter to Adrien.
Marinette: Dear Adrien, dear Adrien... Dear Adrien... (sighs) I'm no good at this love letter writing thing... I sound like a total dorkasaurus!
Adrien burst out into laughter. "DORKASAURUS? Is that even a word?"
"I think I just made it up!" she laughed.
"I'm going to use that word from now on," he beamed at her, earning an eye roll with a hint of a smile.
Tikki: Only when you say words like "dorkasaurus"! Relax, Marinette, I'm teasing. Think of Adrien and speak from the heart.
"She gives good advice," Kim noticed. "Must be pretty handy to have her with you 24/7 right?"
Marinette smiled. "Yeah!"
Marinette: (sees Adrien's letter, gasps) Adrien's letter! That's it! Why didn't I think of that before? I'll answer his poem!
"I knew you would come to your senses and think of something amazing soon enough," Tikki giggled.
"I guess it was sorta the obvious thing to do," Marinette laughed, patting Tikki on the head with her finger.
Alya: Marinette!
Marinette: (gasps)
Alya: (enters the room, with a pink heart-shaped card) Check it out!
Marinette: It's perfect! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
"Aww, you guys are the best friends ever!" Rose gushed.
"My BFF is awesome!" Marinette nudged Alya, who smiled.
(Marinette writes the love letter, with Alya watching)
"You're being distracting!" Nino laughed.
Alya shrugged. "I was eager to read it."
Marinette: Voila!
Alya: Don't forget to sign it!
(A ladybug flies inside the room, distracting Marinette)
"UGH WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST SIGN IT!" Chloe yelled, irritated. The rest of the class looked at her in surprise.
She blinked once and cleared her throat. "I..umm-what I meant was-"
"She was too distracted, as always," Sabrina smirked.
Marinette giggled sheepishly. "The distractions always have to come a second before I do it..I think it's bad luck!"
Alya: This is a good omen! Ladybugs are good luck, especially in the love department!
Adrien's eyes grew wide. Marinette knew exactly what was going on in that mind of his. She sighed.
His smile grew wider and he winked. "Really? I guess I'm a SUPER lucky guy then!"
"You better make sure it lasts," she joked.
Marinette: Really?
Alya: Yeah you of all people should know about ladybugs.
Everyone laughed.
"HA, i didn't even realize what I had just said, but there's that irony again! I made her scared for no reason!" Alya smirked.
"You have no idea how scared i was!" marinette defended.
Marinette: R-really? Wh-why do you say that?
"Look at your face!" Chloe laughed.
"You seriously believed that I'd figured it out? Oh girl.." Alya shook her head.
"Oh come on, how was I supposed to know?" laughed Marinette, giving her best friend a playful shove.
Alya: Since ancient times the ladybug has been a symbol of love, guiding hearts on the path to devotion. It was on my blog this week. You read it didn't you?
Marinette: Oh yeah, yeah, of course. (Turns back towards her computer and sighs)
"I didn't.." Marinette admitted sheepishly.
Alya frowned. "Hey!"
"I had more important stuff..like saving all your butts from Dark Cupid," she reminded Alya.
Alya pondered for a second, then smiled. "Fine, that's fair."
Scene: Agreste mansion in Adrien's room. Adrien is with Plagg as he tries to express feelings to Ladybug.
Plagg: So she's got eyes, arms, legs, big deal! How can you possibly be in love with Ladybug? You don't even know who she really is!
"PLAGG!" Tikki gave him a stern look. "You should ENCOURAGE him, you're so pessimistic!"
Adrien: (sighs) You don't know anything about love…
"He loved cheese," Alix pointed out, shrugging.
"And still does" Marinette sighed. Kwamis could be so much work sometimes
Plagg: Oh sure I do, I love Cheddar, I love Swiss and I love Camembert.
"Gross, that's not even what he meant!" Kim said in disgust.
Alix, however, looked over at Plagg with a mild look of interest on her face. "Adrien, I like this guy..are you sure I can't keep him?"
Adrien sighed. "I would hand Plagg over in a second if I wasn't Chat Noir. But you wouldn't be able to stand him for a day."
"HEY!" Plagg shouted, offended.
(Adrien stands up causing his chair to spin as he heads for the window resting his arm and head against it in distress.)
Plagg: (mockingly) Aww, the poor boy's frustrated because he can't finish the poem for his masked sweetheart?
Everyone burst out in laughter. Marinette, however, blushed fiercely. Adrien was spending all this time..for writing a poem for her?
Adrien: I don't need a poem when I can tell her to her face... I love you.
"I love you," Adrien turned towards her.
Marinette's cheeks reddened.
Suddenly, the most unexpected thing ever happened.
Before she could even say a word, Adrien leaned in and kissed her. A surprised sound escaped from her mouth. She could almost feel her classmates' eyes boring into the scene and she wished they would look away. She opened her eyes a bit and saw Alya smirking at her from behind.
When he finally pulled away, Marinette was gaping at him in shock. Did he just actually kiss her?
Her classmates couldn't hold it any longer. They all cheered.
Adrien stared at her for a second before saying, "I love you."
"Yeah umm," Marinette was blushing harder than ever. "Me too..BUT let's not get too sappy about it!"
"YESSS ADRIENETTE SAILED! MY SHIP HAS COME TRUE!"
Everyone jumped at the sound of Abby's voice. She appeared on the screen and her face was filled with too much glee for Marinette's comfort.
"Just play the episode!" Chloe rolled her eyes.
"Okay!" Abby shouted happily, resuming the episode.
Plagg: Bleh, gross. You're making me lose my appetite. (Plagg eats the Camembert) Almost.
Alya smirked at Marinette and Adrien before saying, "What he said fit right in with what happened before he said it.."
Marinette turned even redder. "ALYA!"
Alya laughed. "Okay, okay!"
Miss Bustier sighed."Teenagers are so dramatic these days."
Scene: Pont des Arts. Kim is waiting on the side of a fence until he recognizes Chloé's voice and rushes forward.
Alix's eyes widened. "Wait! Please don't tell me she was the girl you were talking about!"
Kim laughed nervously.
Chloé: And that's right, in a 24 karat gold frame. Deliver it to Le Grand Paris Hotel and bill it to Daddykins, uh, I mean, Mr. Bourgeois. (stops after noticing Kim) What are you doing here?
"What do you need a 24 karat gold frame for?" Marinette frowned.
"Probably her giant poster which Adrien "signed"," Alya told her.
Kim: (nervously) I-I...
Chloé: (mockingly) You-You…
"So rude!" Marinette scowled.
Kim (clears throat and kneels down in a puddle of water) Will you be my Valentine? (presents a brooch to Chloé)
(A passing bike splashes water in Kim's face, and a chip bag blowing in the wind sticks to him.)
Chloé: (gasps) Don't move!
(Chloé takes a humiliating photo of Kim then hits the send button.)
Chloé Wait till everyone gets a load of this! Hahahaha! No offense, Kim, but my heart's saved for someone more awesome than you.
(Chloé begins to walk off before turning back.)
Everyone gasped.
"Poor Kim!" Rose whimpered sympathetically.
"I look ridiculous," Kim said miserably.
"Utterly ridiculous," Chloe agreed.
Adrien sighed. He couldn't believe how rude Chloe was being. Well, he could..but still, it came as a shock how cruel a person could be. At least she was changing for the better now, even if it was slow. He should probably just appreciate that.
Chloé: Don't you just hate how harsh love can be?
That did it.
Marinette glared at Chloe. "Okay, we get it, you rejected him cruelly! Did you really have to add that?"
"Love can be harsh though," Adrien said quietly. It was true. Both he and Marinette had probably learnt that the hard way.
Marinette's look softened. "I know..but still, it's mean to just say it like that!"
"I'M TRYING I ALREADY TOLD YOU! THAT WAS IN THE PAST WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT!" Chloe burst
(Kim drops the brooch and pulls the chip bag off his face and begins to sob)
Alix gave him a sympathetic pat on the shoulder, which he returned with a grateful smile.
Scene: Hawk Moth's lair. The window opens.
Hawk Moth: Ah, Valentine's Day, the day of love and the day of fools. So many delusions, so much disappointment. My evil akumas, you are going to have such a field day.
"What in the world. That guy is sooo creepy," Alya made a sick face and she got a few agreeing nods.
"Day of fools? Field day?! Doesn't that guys have a life" Marinette sighed
(Hawk Moth transforms the akuma, charging it with power)
Hawk Moth: Fly away my little akuma, and evilize him!
(The akuma flies off, soon finding a sobbing Kim and entering his brooch for Chloé)
Hawk Moth: Dark Cupid, I am Hawk Moth. I can give you the power to shoot your arrows, pierce love and impale friendship. But there is something you must do for me in return.
Kim: No love affair or friendship will escape my fury. No one will ever love again!
"That is harsh, dude!" said Nino. "Hawkmoth would really devour all the love in Paris to get what he wants."
"You don't know him," Marinette said quietly. "He would destroy everyone, all of Paris, and basically summon the end of the world to get the miraculous."
Adrien frowned. "Okay, we know he's evil..But he's never done anything THAT extreme! I Don't know anyone who would do that to get something they want"
Marinette avoided eye contact with him as she said, "Yes. yes, he would."
"How do you know?" Chloe rolled her eyes.
Adrien couldn't help but notice that she looked a bit down.
"It's none of your business!" she scowled, still not quite meeting anyone's eyes.
"Well that means you don't!" Chloe snapped
Marinette started unblinkingly at the screen, recalling her horrible experience in the future.
"You'd be surprised what he would give to get the miraculous" Marinette said, her eyes turning glassy, tears threatening to come out. She fought the urge to collapse and instead didn't make eye contact with anybody and kept her eyes on the screen.
(Kim is transformed into Dark Cupid by the akuma, and is seen shooting arrows at lovers whose lips turn black once hit and run away from their loved ones.)
Civilian: (Smashes bouquet of flowers into wall) Ugh, stupid flowers!
Civilian: (Pulls hand away from woman who he is with) Get off me!
"Woah! That is so sad. And especially on Valentine's day?" Alix shook her head. "He finds a way to ruin everything!"
Dark Cupid: Hahahahahaha!
Hawk Moth: Hahaha! Perfect. It won't be long before Ladybug and Cat Noir show up to meet their doom! (evil laughing)
"He says that every time," said Adrien. "But it never happens!"
Scene: Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie. Marinette and Alya enter, laughing, and Tom gives them candy apples.
Tom: Candy apples, girls?
Marinette: (takes the candy apples) Thanks, Papa.
(Marinette and Alya exit the bakery)
"Mmm, those look good!" Adrien licked his lips.
Scene: The Place des Vosges.
Alya: Come on, Marinette! Do it before you chicken out!
"NO, SIGN IT FIRST!" Alya groaned. "I can't believe I didn't notice either!"
(Marinette is a little scared at first, but finally, she puts the love letter in the mailbox)
Adrien sighed. "If only she'd signed it.."
"I knew it was too good to be true," admitted Marinette.
Alya: Yeah!
Marinette: I did it!
(They hug each other. Their phones ring, and they see Chloé texted them)
Alya: Chloé? Since when did she start texting us?
"How did you even get our number?" asked Marinette.
Chloe shrugged. "I don't know."
(They open the chat, and see a picture of Kim. Both gasp)
Alya: What a witch!
Marinette: And I was the one who told Kim to do it! I didn't know he was talking about her!
Alya: Dang, I hope Adrien doesn't do the same thing to you.
"Ooo, that really wasn't the best thing to say," Alya laughed.
"No kidding, I was panicking waaay too much!" Marinette made a crazy face.
(Upon hearing this, Marinette panics, and tries to get the love letter out of the mailbox)
Adrien laughed. "You actually believed that? Plus, I would never do that to you!"
Alya: I mean—Girl, calm down! Adrien would never do that. (sees Dark Cupid in the sky) What in the world is that?! (points up at him)
"Dark Cupid has been spotted!" Max stated.
Dark Cupid: Huh? (sees the candy apples Alya is holding) All hearts must be destroyed! (shoots arrows at the love apples, and shoots one at Alya, making her lips black)
Marinette: Alya?
"Wait a minute, I don't remember that!" Alya shouted.
"You weren't yourself then, I guess you wouldn't remember it," Kim suggested.
"Just like akumatized people never know what happened to them," Adrien added.
Alya: (sticks the candy apples on Marinette's shirt)
Marinette: Hey, seriously?!
"What a sticky situation," Adrien joked, earning eye rolls from his classmates.
Alya: You're not my BFF, you're a joke! Adrien's gonna laugh his head off at your lame attempt at poetry! (runs away, cackling)
"Omg, girl, i'm soo sorry!" Alya apologized, putting a hand on Marinette's shoulder.
Marinette laughed "It's ok Alya, it wasn't your fault."
"Your poetry is good, by the way. No one could laugh at it," Adrien complemented.
Marinette: Alya?! (looks at Dark Cupid) What did he do to her? (looks at Dark Cupid's brooch) I've seen that jewel somewhere before. It's Kim's pin! He's been akumatized! (pulls the candy apples off of her shirt) This is... not... good! We gotta find him, fast! (she runs to a bench)
"Again, you can use such small features to recognize the villains, but you can't recognize the love of your life?" asked Alya.
"Nope," laughed Marinette.
[ Transformation Sequence ]
Marinette: Tikki, spots on! Ha! (Marinette transforms into Ladybug)
Scene: Street. Ladybug jumps from rooftop to rooftop. She spots Dark Cupid and follows him.
Scene: outside Le Grand Paris. Chloé is complaining to the deliverers of Adrien's portrait.
Chloé: Ugh! I never said 18-karat gold! Those gold tones will never match my 24-karat toilet! Idiots!
"You're such a rich, spoiled brat!" Alya smirked. "And toilet? You're going to put Adrien's frame next to your toilet?"
"Need something to gaze at while you go to the bathroom?" Marinette teased.
Chloe went red in the face. "Ugh, shut up!"
(Dark Cupid spots Chloé and shoots an arrow at her, but Ladybug stops him, making him miss.)
Chloé: (gasps)
Dark Cupid: Ladybug!
Ladybug: Stop, Kim!
Dark Cupid: I'm not Kim, I'm Dark Cupid! I'll never stop! If I can't have love, then no one can!
"That's unfair!" Chloe complained.
Ladybug: Okay, Dark Cupid, I get it. Chloé totally burned you. But that doesn't mean you have to take it out on all of Paris!
"Correctly said," said Max.
Dark Cupid: Oh yes, I do! I won't stop until everyone's heart is crushed. Say adios to your loved ones. From now on, you'll hate them!
Rose shuddered. "And especially on Valentine's day.."
Sabrina nodded. "I know right!"
(Dark Cupid attempts to shoot his arrows at Ladybug who dodges them with her yo-yo. She soon falls catching herself on a roof gutter with her yo-yo.)
Hawk Moth: If you want to continue destroying love, bring me Ladybug's Miraculous, or I'll remove your powers!
Cat Noir: Falling for me already, my lady? (pulls Ladybug down next to him) I need to talk to you.
"Falling..Oh, I get it! That one was actually good!" Nino burst into laughter.
Ladybug: It's going to have to wait. Dark Cupid-
Cat Noir: (hushes her) I swore to myself that I'd tell you as soon as I saw you. Ladybug, I-I-look out!
"That really wasn't the time," smiled Marinette. "Maybe you should have saved it."
"Well, you never gave me a chance to tell you, even after the fight," Adrien pointed out.
(Cat Noir spins around to shield Ladybug, and is struck by one of Dark Cupid's arrows.)
Marinette turned to Adrien and sighed. "Why do you always sacrifice yourself for me?"
"Because I care about you," Adrien smiled.
Ladybug: (gasps) Cat Noir!
Cat Noir: (his lips turn black) Ladybug, I—I "loathe" you!
Adrien covered his face with his hands. "This is going to be really hard to watch. All I can say is..I didn't mean ANY of the things I said!"
"I know you didn't," Marinette assured him.
Ladybug: Cat Noir, snap out of it!
Cat Noir: (squeezes Ladybug incredibly close to him) You're nothing Ladybug, and nothing to me! I hate you!
Adrien groaned. "I can't believe I said that.."
(Ladybug jumps on Cat Noir's foot which made him feel pain on his foot and she uses his staff to launch herself into the air before grappling her yo-yo onto a street lamp and rolling into Le Grand Paris)
Chloé: Ladybug, it's about time, where have you been?
"I have my own life too, Chloe.."
Scene: Walls of Le Grand Paris. Cat Noir meets Dark Cupid.
(Cat Noir is still holding on to his staff before he retracts his staff then he puts his staff on his back and he climbs up the wall where he meets face to face with Dark Cupid.)
Hawk Moth: (to Dark Cupid) Offer to help him in return for Ladybug's Miraculous.
Dark Cupid: (to Cat Noir) I can help you crush Ladybug, but you must give me her Miraculous in return. (Dark Cupid holds his hand out to Cat Noir.)
Cat Noir: No...problem. (Cat Noir cackles because he agrees to help Dark Cupid defeat Ladybug but Cat Noir must hand him Ladybug's Miraculous then Cat Noir holds his hand out to the villain.)
Adrien gasped. "I...helped Hawkmoth?"
"Yeah," said Marinette grimly.
Hawk Moth: Yes. Yes! And once I have Ladybug's Miraculous, taking Cat Noir's will be child's play!
Adrien scowled. "What's that supposed to mean?"
Scene: Le Grand Paris. Chloé and Sabrina speak with Ladybug.
Ladybug: You gotta get out of here. Your friend Kim's turned into Dark Cupid and I don't know what he'll do if he finds you here.
Chloé: Moi? But how could he possibly have a vendetta against me?
"Seriously?" Kim rolled his eyes. "Are you just pretending not to understand..or are you really that dumb?"
Ladybug: (aside) Who doesn't?
Chloé: Duh! It's because of this. Everyone would love to get their hands on it.(zooms in on the poster of Adrien). That's Adrien, a super hot guy in my class. And rich, too! He's hot for me of course.
Adrien rolled his eyes. Chloe.. "When exactly did I say that?"
Chloe flushed with embarrassment.
Ladybug (under her breath) Not according to the poem.
Sabrina: (she is pointing at the poster of Adrien) It's alive!
(The poster begins to seemingly walk into the Hotel and from behind it emerges Dark Cupid, he fires his arrows at Ladybug, Sabrina and Chloé and Ladybug deflects them with her yo-yo. She then grabs Chloé with her yo-yo and drags her onto the street.)
Chloe scowled. "That was unpleasant."
Chloé: Daddy!
Ladybug: Run Chloé! Run!
(Chloé begins to run, followed by Sabrina. Cat Noir drops down from above and stands in front of Ladybug.)
Cat Noir: Well, well, Ladybug.
Ladybug: I don't want to fight you, Cat Noir.
Cat Noir: Ugh, that friendliness. It's so revolting. You are definitely not my friend!
(Cat Noir leaps into the air and swings his staff directly at Ladybug. She dodges it and jumps up onto the roof to run away, and Cat Noir pursues her. Ladybug uses her yo-yo to grab Cat Noir's staff, and pulls him towards her)
Ladybug: Why are you so full of hate, Cat Noir?!
Cat Noir: Because hate conquers all!
Adrien cringed. Yeah, that definitely wasn't him..
Ladybug: I hate to burst your bubble, but hate doesn't conquer all. Love does! (Then she remembers what Miss Bustier and Rose said earlier about love)
Miss Bustier (in flashback): The prince breaks the spell by kissing the princess.
Rose (in flashback): Only love can conquer hate!
"See, my class actually helped!" Miss Bustier beamed.
Cat Noir: You're just buying time! Fight!
Ladybug: I'll do better than that.
A huge smiled began to play across her classmates's faces.
"Please tell me this is going where I think it's going," Alya smirked.
Marinette groaned. "Here we go.."
Cat Noir: Huh?
Ladybug: Come on, kitty kitty, just a peck... (she tries to kiss him, but she missed) Almost!
Adrien yelped. "You were trying to KISS ME!"
"I was trying to SAVE you!" Marinette corrected, red in the face.
Cat Noir: (He yells) Get back, you savage!
Adrien groaned. "I had the chance to KISS you and I ran away? CURSE YOU HAWKMOTH!"
Marinette giggled.
(Cat Noir begins running away from her)
Ladybug: Here, kitty kitty kitty! Come here!
(She is running after Cat Noir so she can kiss him)
Alya couldn't hold her laughter any longer. "That may be the most funny thing I've ever seen!"
Adrien sighed. "It was a dream come true! And Hawkmoth just had to ruin it.."
Scene: The street. Chloé runs away from Dark Cupid.
Dark Cupid: (he is laughing) You can't outrun me, Chloé!
Chloé: (she is trying to outrun Dark Cupid but she trips over a flower stand and falls near several civilians) Help!
(The civilians see Dark Cupid but they run away while they are screaming and Chloé also sees him)
Dark Cupid: Happy Valentine's Day, Chloé. Now you'll get what you deserve.
Chloé: My hair! There is nothing worse in this world than a bad hair day! First, Ladybug wrinkles my new jacket, second, you totally ruined my hair! Just go ahead and just change me already! This day can't get any worse…
Marinette tried really hard not to laugh, and it looked like her friends were doing the same.
Dark Cupid: I don't need to waste this arrow on you. Your heart is so dark and shriveled, there's no room for love. (he laughs while he is flying away)
Chloe didn't retort, but she looked down almost sadly.
"Oh, umm.." Kim didn't know what to say. "I..I didn't mean it, Chloe!"
"I think you did," she said quietly.
Chloé: Ugh! How dare you talk to me like that? (she bumps into Sabrina) Huh? Why are you just standing there? Help me up! (Chloé wants Sabrina to help her up but she doesn't move)
Sabrina: (it is revealed that her lips have turned black) Ha! You think I'd help someone as stuck up as you? (she takes an embarrassing picture of Chloé with her cellphone) Wait till everyone gets a load of this! (she cackles while she runs away)
"Get a taste of your own medicine.."
"This is like the first time I'm feeling bad for her."
Chloé: Ughhh...
Scene: Cat Noir is still being chased by Ladybug and finally, she catches up to him.
(Ladybug ties Cat Noir's leg with her yo-yo and he drops his staff then she ties him to a lamppost. She suspends herself from the top of the lamppost and she is leaning closer to Cat Noir so she can kiss him while she is hanging upside down.)
Cat Noir: No, no! (Cat Noir doesn't want to be kissed by Ladybug so he dodges the kiss from her)
Everyone burst into laughter. Marinette wished that she could just bury a hole, crawl into it, and die.
Ladybug: Don't worry, I'm not looking forward to it either... (then she tries to kiss him again, but she missed so she holds his nose to prevent him from dodging a kiss from her) I can't believe I'm doing this...
Adrien looked up at the screen eagerly.
"Usually it's me trying to kiss you and you dodging. Not the other way around..the one time it happened and I don't remember it!" Adrien gritted his teeth.
Alya giggled. "That's not the only time..Remember Oblivio?"
Marinette was confused. "The supervillain? Oh yeah, we don't remember that because we lost our memories.."
"Yeah but remember my Ladyblog?" Alya smiled.
Adrien grinned. "I remember it well!"
Marinette didn't remember what they were talking about at first, but then it struck her. "Ugh, we don't talk about that!"
"You wish!" Adrien laughed.
(she tries to kiss him again and Cat Noir whimpers but an arrow appears between them and that is shot by Dark Cupid. Ladybug avoids the arrows and Cat Noir is free from the lamppost thanks to Dark Cupid and Cat Noir picks up his staff and he puts it on the back of his suit then he joins Dark Cupid while Ladybug hides behind a tree)
"This is painful to watch," Adrien admitted.
Cat Noir: How are you gonna fight both of us now, bug eyes? (Cat Noir and Dark Cupid fist bump each other)
"Bug eyes?" Marinette rolled her eyes.
Adrien laughed sheepishly. "Sorry..Looks like Hawkmoth also took my sense of humor."
(then Cat Noir activates Cataclysm) I've often wondered what would happen if I use my Cataclysm on someone…
Everyone gasped.
"Oh my god, I am SO sorry!" Adrien apologized.
Marinette smirked. "Hmm, should I forgive you?"
"Please!"
"Fine, this time."
Ladybug: activates Lucky Charm! (A candy apple appears) A candy apple? What am I supposed to do with this? Think, Ladybug... (She looks around and she spots the fountain, Cat Noir's ring and Dark Cupid's brooch) Hey! I've got a Valentine's gift for you! (she comes out of her hiding place)
"A candy apple?" said Adrien, confused.
(Cat Noir and Dark Cupid are going to attack Ladybug together. Dark Cupid shoots arrows at her and she deflects them with her yo-yo. Cat Noir is about to use his Cataclysm on her but she avoids it and she grabs him by his belt so she jumps on him by jumping onto the statue and she throws the candy apple at Dark Cupid's head but he removes it.)
"It's going to stick to his hands, isn't it.."
Ladybug: Looks like you got yourself in a sticky situation!
(Dark Cupid removes the candy apple from and he tries to shoot an arrow at her but his hand is stuck to the bow)
Dark Cupid: Ladybug! (He yelled at Ladybug and he is also angry at her)
"You," said Alya to Marinette, laughing. "Are the best!"
"She always finds a way to annoy the heck out of a supervillain!" said Adrien, happily.
Ladybug: And now, for the pussycat! (Cat Noir stands up then he yells and he continues to fight Ladybug by chasing her until he sits on top of her)
"That would have been cute..if he wasn't trying to kill you," Alya added.
(Then Dark Cupid tells Cat Noir to take Ladybug's Miraculous from her and he obeys Dark Cupid's orders while he washes his hands at the fountain.)
Dark Cupid: Cat Noir, her Miraculous!
"I can't believe this," Adrien buried his face in his hands, unable to watch.
Cat Noir: With pleasure! Finally, I'll find out who you are, Ladybug! Your little secret will be out of the bag! (He still is sitting on top of Ladybug so he can reveal her secret identity to him and Dark Cupid)
Marinette let out a little scream, knowing what was going to come next. She desperately made a grab for the remote, but was too late.
(Ladybug grabs his face and kisses him, breaking the spell.)
Roses are red,
