Chapter 18: Moving into The Dorms

Izuku and Ochako were taking their bags from home and to the dorms at U.A. "You sure you have everything?" Inko asked. Izuku nodded. "We did a check multiple times today and everything is accounted for." Inko smiled. "If I text respond quickly, and make sure to always eat at least 3 healthy meals a day.

"Sure thing," Izuku said. Ochako rushed over to Inko and wrapped her arms around her. "Thank you for all you've done, Inko." Tears were already welling in her face, but they didn't get far; Ochako's head was pressed firmly into Inko's chest, after all."Thank you for all you've done," she said. "Of course dear, make sure you keep Izuku out of trouble." Ochako nodded. The two of them held hands as they walked to the U.A dorms.

The place was huge compared to last time. There were more buildings around, and on top of it, Izuku and other students were looking at a new building called Heights Alliance. It was almost the same as the main building. "Whoa!" Sato said, "This place is huge!" "I'll bet it's roomy," Mina exclaimed. Principal Nezu came from the opening doors of Heights Alliance and walked forward to the students, and All Might walked forward with him. "First of all Class 1-A, the important thing is, you're all still here together and safe and sound," Nezu said.

"We were lucky to get permission after what just happened," Sero said. "It was a little tough for me," Toru said. "My folks were just looking for an excuse to get me out of the house more often," Katsuki said. "As for the events that happened, to prepare ourselves for anything else to come, one of your upperclassmen, or should I say women, have agreed to go undercover as a spy to the league of villains," Nezu said, "They will gather intel on any attacks planned by these villains to better prepare us for an oncoming attack." "Where's Mr. Aizawa?" Tsu asked.

"He is still getting treated, so he asked me to take care of the dorm introductions," Nezu explained, "But before that, Midoriya, would you please step forward." Everyone looked at him. Izuku walked up to where Nezu was. "While you are not an authorized pro hero, you still went and protected Mr. Aizawa by going toe to toe with powerful villains. The situation was dire, and you took the initiative." Principal Nezu said, "That isn't to say you were perfect. You could have been injured, or even worse than the state you were in considering the Nomu. Without All Might coming when he did, you might not be here right now."

Izuku looked down. "But on the other hand, had it not been for your actions, the casualties would have been much worse," Nezu continued, his expression proud."Sometimes a hero has to go beyond limits to protect the people he cares about. I hate that you, alongside our other students, have to put your lives on the line, but that is the essence of heroics. Not only that, but you're a first-year."

Izuku looked up, scared of the potential consequences he faced for being a first-year. "Not many first years manage to take on a band of villains and live to tell the tale, let alone one of such high caliber..." Nezu said. Izuku was surprised; he expected to be expelled. "On behalf of the students and staff, I thank you Midoriya, and although you did break a regulation, our trust in you will stand firm," Principal Nezu said, "With a few exceptions, I would appreciate it if you would follow procedures and act accordingly, and only act brash as a last resort." Izuku bowed. "Thank you, sir." Nezu bowed too, albeit a little awkwardly considering his minute height. "No, Thank you." Nezu returned to a normal posture before continuing onward without addressing Izuku's stunned face. "With that out of the way, let's continue on with smiles on our faces and lots of energy!"

"Oh and a few final things before I leave," Principle Nezu began. "We have a few new people joining the staff. First off, we have Mrs. Inko Midoriya, who is Izuku's mom. She was the lead surgeon at Musafatu General Hospital and will be assisting Recovery Girl at UA. Second we have the Uraraka construction company, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Uraraka. They will be responsible for any and all changes that are needed to be done to the dorms alongside Cementoss. Finally, I am told that recently, a 'stupid somebody' revealed a secret to your class." he said while looking at All Might.

"Now, since all of class 1-A knows that All Might is Midoriya's father, it is only fair to respect that secret. Apart from all of you, those who know this secret are Ms. Midoriya, obviously, the Uraraka family as well asand the Bakugou' .." he said, his tone growing more and more sinister as he spoke.

The rest of the class sweat dropped at the change in tone. "Now, off you go. You need to set up your dorms. I have given Young Midoriya the basic rules and regulations you need to follow in the dorms as well as a simple explanation of the dorms." With that, the teachers left the kids to set their rooms up and have fun.

"Alright, everyone, let's go and set our rooms up. Take 20 minutes for that and come and regroup at here after that." Izuku told the class. "The girls are on the right and the boys on the left. Yaomomo will take you girls to your rooms and I'll take the boys. On the first floor we have Shoji, Aoyama, Tokoyami, Sato, Koda, Mineta and Ojiro on the boys side and on the girls side is Tsu, Hagakure and Ashido. On the second floor, we have Iida, Kirishima, Bakugou, Todoroki, Sero, Kaminari, Jotaro and myself on the boys side and Yaomomo, mo- i mean Ochako, Camie and Jiro on the girls side. I'll explain the rest after we unpack." With that, the class left to go to their rooms. Some were taking the lift while the others were taking the stairs.

"Hey, Ochako," Izuku called out. "Call me if you need some help."

Ochako nodded and began walking away. "Sure."

20 minutes later, the class came down, tired and exhausted from their room endeavors.

"Alright, so the dorm layout is pretty simple. We have the common area that includes the kitchen, the living area, the game room on the 3rd floor, the gym and-"

"Is it the bathroom?" Mineta asked. "N-no, the bathrooms are separated by gender. The last place that is the common area is the study room slash library on the 3rd floor as well. The 2 rooms on the 3rd floor are soundproofed so those in the study room need not worry about sound from the game room."

They started walking towards the kitchen area. "We are supposed to cook food by ourselves and we are given a stipend for each week to get fresh groceries and other essential ingredients," Izuku stated, "All of us are supposed to pitch in for cooking. We can discuss the details later.

They were in the common areas after taking a tour of the building. "Finally, the last rule is the curfew. The curfew for Monday thru Thursday and Sunday is 10 pm since it is a school night and the curfew for Friday and Saturday is 12 am. This means all lights off by that time. If you are going out, you need to be back one hour before curfew." Izuku finished explaining the rules from the printed paper he had. "If you need any more rules to be added or anything to say, please do so now."

Kaminari asked, "Midoriya, what do we do about the food for today since we don't have a schedule set up?" "Well, don't worry about today, for Kaachan and I will be cooking for all of you today and the rest of the week. But after this, all of you need to learn as well."

Camie and Ochako start to grin sheepishly, gaining the attention of their classmates. "Hey Ochako, why are you smiling like a kid?" Mina asked.

"Oh it's just that Izukus and Bakugou's food when they cook alone is to die for. But, when they cook together, it's simply heaven." Ochako told them. "They also take requests, so if you have any, tell them soon since they need to start preparing." Camie added.

"H-hey no one said anything about taking requests." Izuku pleaded. "Please Midoriya, Bakubae, it'll be just for today. Please." Camie pleaded.

"Nerd, let's take requests," Katsuki told Izuku. "Suuuureee, but just because Camie asked you." Izuku teased. "Alright, what do you extras want to have, we're making katsudon, unagi, shrimp tempura, yakitori and onigiri. Anything else you idiots want." Katsuki said while shouting at the rest of the class.

"Soba."

"Sashimi."

"Udon."

And then there was chaos until Katsuki used his explosions to make all of them quiet. "Alright, there's no use asking all of you. The menu for today is going to be as follows: katsudon, unagi, shrimp tempura, yakitori, soba, sashimi and nigiri. For dessert we have strawberry mochi, chocolate mochi, taiyaki and dango. End of discussion. Nerd lets go, we have work to do." Katsuki told before dragging Izuku to the kitchen.

The rest of the class was sitting in the living hall, chatting or watching the TV.

"Hey Ochako, mind if I ask you something." mina asked.

"Sure, fire away." Ochako told her.

"Has something happened since the last chapter?" mina said.

"H-huh."

"I mean he was going to call you mo- something and stopped halfway and then called you Ochako. So did something happen after the incident?" mina asked.

"Oh that... Well, Izuku and I are dating now so he likes to call me mochi from time to time because I love the dish." Ochako answered.

"That explains why there are 2 different flavours of mochi on the menu." toru exclaimed. "It's just too cute."

The girls continued their gossip. Well, most of them. Momo had gone up to her room to get her and let's say what she saw was not really comfortable. Mineta, being the pervert he was, had been going around placing cameras in the girls rooms to spy on them.

Momo screamed out in shock as she kicked Mineta out of her room and into the hall. Hearing the scream, the girls ran up to Momo, followed by Kenshi, Shoto and the rest of the boys.

"Momo, we heard you scream. What happened?" Jiro asked

"I caught the perv installing cameras in my room." Momo told her, clearly shaken from the event.

"Iida, go call some teacher. We'll take care of the perv. Girls, go check your rooms, switch off all lights and use the flashlights on your phone to find the cameras." Izuku told the girls. He then turned to Katsuki with an evil grin.

"Kaachan, let's make some grape wine for dinner today." Izuku said menacingly.

"Nerd, I think there is someone who would like a go at the perv before us." Katsuki told him.

"Oi, gamer boy, wanna have a go before we juice the grape." Katsuki asks Kenshi.

"Gladly," Kenshi answered as he removes a taser from his inventory and fires it, aiming for Mineta. He was down for a few minutes. "Nobody peeps eyes at my girl!" Kenshi said. Katsuki and Izuku stared at him. "...nobody peeps at my…. friend." "Speaking of peeps," Mina said, "Toru and I were thinking and…." "We have a great idea!" Toru finished. "What is it?" Katsuki asked. "How about we go around and see who has the coolest room!" Mina said. Izuku, Tokoyami and Kirishima froze. "I know just the guy to start with," Katsuki said.

Izuku was screaming. "NO WAIT, YOU CAN'T GO IN THERE! PLEASE IT'S NOT FIT FOR…." Katsuki and Kenshi Held him back while the others barged in. Izuku's room was filled with… All Might. All Might here, All Might there, All Might everywhere.

"It's All Might everywhere!" Ochako said, "Goodness you're a fanboy." "Well, he's my dad and I admire him," Izuku said. He looked down to the floor. "Goodness this is embarrassing. But you guys should totally do Kaachan's room next"

''This seems like fun," Sero said, "Having our rooms looked at and judged is the complete opposite of fun." The next room was Katsuki's. He was standing in front of his dorm. "No way."

Mina and Toru tried pushing him out of the way. They succeeded and walked in. "Whoa! It looks like Izuku's but with a darker vibe to it." Mina said. Kirishima looked at a necklace. "Whoa, I had something like this in my younger years," he said.

"This is how boys like to decorate," Mina said. "Leave. Now," Katsuki said. Mina saw a spiky bracelet. "Whoa!" Mina said, "So cool…" "Get OUT!" Katsuki yelled after nobody budged. Aoyama's room was very sparkly. "Yep, just as I expected," Toru said. Ojiro's room was pretty basic. Tokoyami's room was, well, it was too dark to be able to make anything out so everyone just went on to the next room.

Next, there was Tenya's room. It looked like an office. "You'll see nothing strange here whatsoever," he said. "Well, you got glasses," Ochako said, "And a shit ton of them!" Mina tapped Ochako playfully on the head. "Ochako sweetie, watch your mouth," she said as she pointed at Iida. "Ugh," Iida said, clearly annoyed by the running gag. Kaminari's room almost looked like a mall. "Looks like a store that I'd avoid," Jirou said. "I thought it looked pretty good," Kaminari said, "If I had just did what I usually do it'd be a waste."

Those words shook Kenshi for some reason. "If you used your talents like that, it would be a waste!" said a voice in his head. He started to have memories of his father.

"Gaming is a waste of time," he said, "No son of mine is going to be a gamer, or a pro hero!" There were also memories of people making fun of him for his career choice. Then came the memory of his first girlfriend. She had dumped him for another guy. Those memories had begun to haunt him.

Kenshi was sweating. "Well that was something," Momo said before seeing Kenshi sweat, "...Are you ok?" "I… I gotta…." said Kenshi. He then started running out to the small garden in front. "Was it something I said?" Kaminari asked. Kenshi was sitting on the grass. The words were getting to his head. He heard footsteps. "Kenshi?" Momo asked. He looked up to see Momo walking towards him.

"Oh, hey Momo," he said. "Is everything ok?" Momo asked, "You suddenly acted like you were in a rush or something." "Oh did I?" Kenshi asked, "I didn't… notice." Momo came closer to him.

"I'm gonna ask you again, and this time please be honest with me," stated Momo, "What's bothering you?" Kenshi sighed. "I know something is bothering you, please don't be afraid to tell me," she told him with a smile. Kenshi finally gave in.

"It's my father," he said, "He… He hasn't been supportive of my career choice," he said, "He'd rather I take over the family business. He sees pro heroes and gaming as a waste of time. Sometimes I think he'd rather see me unhappy than let me be who I am."

Momo placed her hand on top of his. "Continue," she said. "A few years back in middle school, I had this girlfriend but… my father…. He paid her to dump me for a football player," Kenshi said, "This made my mother angry. She divorced him and took me to live with her."

"So Kenshi, why do you have an issue with socializing?" Momo asked curiously. Kenshi sighed and looked at her. "It's not me that has a problem with socializing, I think it's socializing that has a problem with me," Kenshi told her. "They take a single look at me and they walk away from me. In fact, one girl even sprayed me with pepper spray just for saying hi."

He sat down and looked out the window. "Most people in the real world judge me before they get to know me," he said, "That's why I feel like I belong in the gaming world. Primarily, Virtual Reality. I go there because of what I can do, but I stay because of what I can be. I'm treated like I matter, like I belong. The people in the real world never treat me like that."

He then remembered his first day at UA. "Then I came here and met you and the others. It made me happy to have friends that would accept me despite my flaws," Kenshi said.

Momo couldn't help but feel sorry for him. An autistic, creative gamer who was judged by people for being different. She had an idea. "I'm sorry to hear that Jotaro," she said as she faced the boy placing a hand on his shoulder.

Kenshi gave her a smile. "Hey, tonight, you and I can spend the night showing off our dorms and socializing, and tomorrow night, I'd like to bring you shopping with me at this new mall," Momo said. Before Kenshi could protest she said, "No saying no." Kenshi gave in. "Ok, I'll come," he said. Momo smiled. "Now, let's go see our friends." She took his hand and he followed.

The group had just got done showing off Kirishima's room which was made to look like a gym which was the last room apart from Kenshi and Momo's. Kenshi and Momo caught up with the others. They were walking back to the common area where Hayate was waiting. "Well if it isn't the boy who cried Smash," Hayate said. He was joined by Monoma.

"What do you want Hayate?" Izuku said tiredly. "Nothing much, wanna-be All Might. I just wanted to see my girl." Hayate says as he walks to Pchako. "Sorry to disappoint, but I have a boyfriend," Ochako says as she walks over to Izuku. "Yea, and that's me," Hayate said as he took Ochako by the arm.

"Aizawa isn't here to save you this time!" Izuku got in the way. "You still hadn't learned your lesson," Izuku said. His eyes were glowing a dark green. "Come near her again, and you'll see what my quirk is truly made of."

Hayate glared Izuku down. "You wanna fight, nerd?" he taunted. "Then you've got a fight." Hayate activated his quirk and went for a palm thrust which Izuku avoided while stretching out his leg in Hayate's path causing him to fall face-first on the ground. Hayate got up and went for a 1-2-5 boxing combo (jab, cross, and left uppercut) which Izuku blocked or parried.

"Seems like someone knows how to box." Izuku taunted the boy. "Though your punches are slow and lack the sharpness in the strike."

"Where's that super scary quirk you keep bragging about Midoriya?" Hayate asked, "Or are you out of batteries?" "Well, we aren't supposed to fight in the dorms using our quirks. Let's take this outside and I'll show you how to throw a proper punch, Hayate." Izuku said.

"Yeah, right as if you know a singe thing about boxing." Hayate mocked as the 2 boys walked outside, followed by the rest of the class. Nezu saw this occurring from the cameras. "Yagi do you mind?" he asked. "Will do Principal," All Might said. "If this becomes a habit, your son will feel my wrath," Nezu joked.

Izuku activated his full cowling as green arcs of lightning surrounded him. 'Well, that's new.' he thought before focussing on Hayate and rushing him. "You wanna see how a 1-2-5 combo actually looks like Hayate, well here's the real combo." he said as he delivered sharp precise blows to hayate. He then channeled up a stronger punch.

"I think you should be the first to bear witness to a new technique I came up with," Izuku said, "I based this after the strongest punch in the history of Boxing." He did an uppercut move only using his birth quirk. "SLEDGE-HAMMER!" Hayate was up in the air. "And this is a move I named based off of a city I plan on visiting in the future," Izuku said. Izuku dashed at Hayate, his arm channeled up with power and the tattoos appearing around his arm. "Detroit….. SMASH!"

His fist collided with Hayate, knocking the boy away from the 1-A dorms and causing him to crash into a nearby tree. "K.O!" Yagi shouted in an animated voice similar to that of an arcade game. Izuku was shocked. "All Might…. I…" Izuku said. "Don't worry young Midoriya, Nezu doesn't have any punishment for you," Yagi said.

While Izuku fought Hayate, Monoma sneaked in unnoticed and went up to momo, "What's shaking, bacon?" Momo turned around. "Not interested, Monoma!" she said, unamused. Kenshi got in front of her. "You best leave her alone!" he said. "And you best mind your business and back off," Monoma said, "Nobody comes between me and MY girl!" "She's not someone's property," Kenshi retorted, "Especially property of an arrogant pampered palace brat!"

"Oooooohhhhhhh!" the students said. "We're about to fight buster," Monoma said, "I know Tae Kwon Doe." "And I know whoop yo ass," Katsuki said, walking forward and letting out some explosions near him. Kenshi turned to Katsuki. "I think I can handle this, without violence," Kenshi stated, "I told Mr. Aizawa I wouldn't get involved in a fight." "It's not gonna be a fight, it's gonna be a massacre," Monoma said, "your massacre." He went for a left hook and Kenshi evaded it. Monoma turned around and went for another left hook to which Kenshi dodged by ducking. Mina was amazed. "It's like he's dodging by dancing!" she said.

Monoma came with a barrage of punches. Kenshi easily dodged them all. "Looks like someone hasn't played much Street Fighter," Kenshi said. "I'll give you a street fight!" Monoma shouted. He went for a hammer fist and then a kick.

Kenshi dodged out of the way. He then did a signature move known as the Shoryuken. His punch collided with Monoma's face and he fell to the other side of the hall. Principal Nezu walked out and saw Monoma. He tried the puppy eye trick to make it look like Kenshi beat him up.

"Picking on Class 1-A again, Monoma?" he asked, "Perhaps a visit to my office would be precise," All might Picked Monoma up and dragged him and Hayate away. Nezu turned to Kenshi. "Mr. Jotaro." he began, "If you wish to pull off the Shoryuken correctly, duck and then release the punch for a stronger effect," He walked away. "Sorry for spoiling your day, Class 1-A, please continue whatever you were doing."
