Hermione couldn't believe how blissful life was now. Everything seemed to have fallen into place.
Fred was amazing.
They'd agreed that they didn't want to just jump into bed with each other straight away, as easy as it would be considering their living arrangements, but Fred had insisted of 'wining and dining' her properly before they took that step. That didn't stop him from leaving her breathless every time he stole a kiss when she least expected or snogged her senseless.
Of course, news travelled fast and there was a not so nice article in the paper about it, but Hermione was too happy to care.
Verity and Lee teased them at every opportunity, whilst Molly and Ginny had gushed over them at the first family dinner as a couple. Ron had been notably absent that evening. Camilla had literally squealed with joy the moment she saw Hermione, taking her completely by surprise.
It was like the more they kissed, the more the attraction grew between them - they could hardly keep their hands off of each other.
It was just the previous day, Hermione recalled as she made pancakes for breakfast whilst Fred was still asleep, that she had visited the shop on her lunch break. She had actually intended on eating lunch, but all notions of food went out of the window the moment Fred had whisked her into the back room for a make out session. He'd made it up to her by ordering her favourite take out for dinner.
A smile sprung to her lips, as she felt arms encase her from behind and a chin resting on her shoulder.
"Good morning, sleepy head." She smiled, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye.
Luckily, it was a Saturday and Fred didn't have work, otherwise he'd be extremely late.
"Morning." He mumbled, tilting his head and trailing kisses along her neck.
She shivered in delight as tried focusing on the last few pancakes.
"Fred." She whined. "I can't concentrate."
"Leave the pancakes." Was the last thing she heard before she was thrown over his shoulder.
"Fred!" She squealed, a little laugh following as he walked. "Freddie! Put me down!"
"You asked for it." She could hear the grin in his voice, before she was dropped on her back onto the couch.
She tried to look mad, she really did, but a laugh slipped past her lips as he hovered over her. She could never stay mad at him, it was near impossible.
She smiled, her eyes fluttering closed as he straddled her and kissed his way up her throat. She scrunched her face up as he kissed her face all over, pressing a short kiss to her nose before bumping it with his, their breaths warm on each others skin.
"Will you go on a date with me tonight?" He asked, kissing around her mouth but never quite touching her lips.
"Will you kiss me if I say yes?" She teased, before wrapping her arms around his neck and peering up at him. "Of course, I'll go on a date with you."
"Great." He grinned, before finally kissing her lips.
She tangled her hand in his hair, running her fingers through the delicate strands that never seemed to be tuggy despite looking messy. He supported his weight with one elbow on the back of the couch as his other hand wandered, caressing her skin softly as they kissed, and kissed and kissed.
It would be no surprise if they missed their date.
