Later on that night
Brooke's Home
Brooke paced back and forth in her bedroom. Wearing only a bra and panties. She was in a state of panic and indecision.
Stop overthinking this and pick and outfit to wear. She thought to herself. But everytime she picked something. She was reminded that tonight she would be spending the few hours alone with Lucas during the cermony. Since their children would be off doing their own thing.
Just the thought of being with him for that extended period of time made the ball of nervousness in her stomach grow. She grew frustrated with her lack of decision making and simply picked and outfit from her closet and put it on. An orange sweater dress, knee high black boots with grey leggings. Her face was bare except for red lipstick on her lips. Her dark hair was curled.
She took a deep breath and walked out her bedroom.
...
"We're riding with our friends dad. One of their parent's is going to pick up me and Ash!" Angela yelled out the open bedroom door.
"Are you riding with us Tris or not.?" Asher asked.
Tristan shook his head from side to side.
"The two of you go on ahead. Enjoy you're night. I have plans." Tristan replied. Leaving Angela's room.

Sometime Later
The 29th Annual Burning Boat Festival
"The purpose of this festival is for people to throw away and burn any memories they were holding on to. It's a fresh start. From this night onward." The host said. As the woman lit the boat on fire.
A crowd of endless guests hung around the large park. Watching the engulfed boat burn. While they talked in hushed tones and walked around.
"It's these small town events that i missed the most when i was away. Aside from my friends. Feeling apart of a community while still being the given the space to grow. I'm glad you were able to get away from the store for awhile." Lucas said.
Brooke smiled up at him. "The store will be open tommorow bright and early as always. Tonight i'm all yours." She replied. Feeling herself blush the minute she said.
Lucas focused his gaze on her. "I like the sound of that. Having some one on one time with you. That doesn't happen often enough." He replied.
"You're my best friend." Brooke confessed.
The expression on Lucas's face softened. "You're mine too. And so much more. I had given up on so much. You fought to bring me back. You believed in me. In a way that pushed me to fight for myself. Thank you for that." Lucas proclaimed.
"You're giving me way too much credit. I was just returning the favor. You make me nervous." Brooke admitted.
Lucas smiled shly. "What about me is so nerve wracking to the fearless Brooke Davis.?" He questioned.
"You're presence, The way you never give up on the people you love. You're heart, strength, Ability to make a person feel safe, understood, and heard." Brooke replied.
Lucas extended his hands to her.
She held onto to his hands. Their eyes locked on each other.
Lucas leaned over kissing him gently.
Brooke kissed him back hard.
His arms wrapped around her. At some point they pulled apart.

The Bridge
At the sight of Bailey seated at the bridge.
Tristan smiled walking over to where she was already seated.
Taking a seat beside her.
"This is my favorite place watch the festival. The night sky, seeing the burning boat reflect off the water. It's beautiful." Bailey stated.
"None of that compares to you." Tristan replied.
"We managed to fool everyone into thinking we don't know each other. But the truth is we've friends for years. And are only now able to see where things could go now that we live in the same place." Bailey revealed.
Tristan linked his hand with hers as they watched. The boat reflect off the water.
