A/N: It's been almost another month since I last updated this fic! I recently went back to work, so this took a little halt. This is my longest chapter! I did have trouble with this chapter as I didn't really know what Tina and Mike liked in terms of materialistic things, so I tried to stick with what they normally wore on the show.

I'll try my best to continue this on my days off, but for now, here is the next chapter!

Chapter 18 – The Holidays Part 2

Tina's POV:

It was officially our holiday break. School broke out for the holidays last Friday, and almost a week later, Christmas is happening in a few short days! I was so excited because my parents agreed to spending Christmas with Mike and his parents and meeting them for the first time. As soon as I heard them say yes, I quickly hopped on the phone with Mike to tell him the good news.

I was smiling to myself and wrapping up Mike's gift when I heard my phone ring. I looked beside me and it was Kurt. I answered the call and put Kurt on speaker.

"Hey! How's it going?" I said to him.

"Well, Warblers are slowly warming up to me but other than that, classes at Dalton are harder than McKinley. How's New Directions?"

"We decorated a random tree that Finn found in the parking lot and sang classroom to classroom. That didn't go well. But I'm glad school is out for Christmas!"

"I'm sorry to hear you guys had to do that! Finn hasn't really spoken much to me about what's been happening in the Glee club. How's everyone else doing?"

I took a deep breath and sighed as I pushed away Mike's wrapped gift and picked up my phone and turned off speaker mode to talk to Kurt.

"Rachel keeps hogging all the solos, we don't seem to be ready for Regionals. I don't know Kurt; I don't know what we'll be doing by that time"

"I'm sure you guys will think of something. Even though Mr Shue tends to get a bit 'old style music' on us, he still comes up with some good songs for everyone to agree with"

"Yeah that's true. What are you guys doing for the holidays?"

"Not much. It'll be the first Christmas that my dad and I are spending with Carole and Finn, so I guess we'll see how that goes. What about you and dancer boy?"

I giggled at the nickname that Kurt had for Mike.

"My parents and I are actually going to go over to Mike's house for Christmas. They want to meet, and his parents had invited us so why not"

"I'm glad Mike treats you well, I just wish I was still at McKinley to see it"

"Me too Kurt, I miss you and your stylish clothes. I think sometime soon, we need to shopping with Mercedes"

"Yes! We must!"

I giggled on the phone with Kurt as he started spewing out fashion ideas as I heard a knock on my door.

Mike's POV:

I decided to pay Tina a surprise visit to her house. I wanted to spend a short amount of time with her as I did have to go back and do more cleaning. I just wanted to see her face because I miss seeing it every day at school. I had been busy all day cleaning my room in preparation of her and her parents coming by in a few days to celebrate Christmas with us.

I knocked on her front door and her mom answered.

"Hi Mike!"

"Hi Mrs Cohen-Chang, is Tina around?"

"Yes, she's just in her room. Come on in"

I smiled and made my way into the house. I took off my boots and my jacket and hung them up respectfully at the door. I went upstairs to her room and I heard laughter coming from Tina. I smiled hearing it, as I have fallen in love with her laughter. I knocked on the door and a few seconds later she answers it while on the phone.

"Miiiikeee!" Tina shouted both to me and to the person on the phone.

"Ow! Tina! My ear!"

"Oh, sorry Kurt!" I chuckled to myself as I made my way into her room. I signaled for her to put her phone on speaker.

"Is Mike there? Is that why you just randomly started shouting?" I heard Kurt's voice through her phone.

"Hey Kurt! Miss you buddy!" I said to him over the phone.

"Hey Mike! I miss you guys too! I suppose I should let you lovers spend time together. I'll talk to you guys later!"

"Bye Kurt!" Tina and I said simultaneously.

As soon as Tina hung up, she tackled me down to her bed and gave me a long kiss.

I broke away after a minute and started laughing.

"Hi baby"

"Hi! You took me by surprise! I didn't know you'd be coming!"

"Surprise" I told her while smiling.

I sat up only to lay down properly this time with Tina on her bed.

"I missed you" she said to me.

"I missed you too. I was busy cleaning all day and thought I'd surprise you with this visit"

"Aww. You're too sweet. I spent today wrapping up gifts. I can't wait for you to open yours up"

"Can I get a hint?"

Tina shakes her head while smiling.

I frowned as she leaned up to kiss my frown away.

"I promise you'll love yours" she tells me.

"And I promise you'll love yours as well" I told her.

I stayed for an hour or two longer cuddling with her in her bed before I decided to make my departure. As we came down the stairs, I told her of the plans for Christmas.

"You guys can come at 2pm and stay as long as you want. The earlier you guys come, the more time our parents will have to meet and talk and stuff" I told her.

She nods in agreement.

"Is there a dress code?"

"Just something festive. Since it's at my house, may as well just be as comfortable as you can"

"Okay. I'll see you in a few days? Call me later as well?" She asks me.

I nods as I zips up his jacket. I watch Tina step down to the last step as I comes close to give her a lingering kiss.

We break apart before it got too heated.

"Drive safe. I love you" She tell me quietly.

"I will. I love you too" I tell her. I open the front door and wave as I leave.

*A few days later*

Tina's POV:

It was officially Christmas! I was so excited to spend time with my parents, Mike and his parents as well. My parents and I spent Christmas Eve together in our house, as did Mike with his since we knew we'd all be together for Christmas anyway. My parents and I spent time making gingerbread houses while I sang a few Christmas carols for them.

It was now 11am. Mike told me that we didn't have to come until 2. Knowing him, he was busy setting up his house with his parents so we wouldn't be talking until we got there. I decided to head into my closet and figure out what to wear.

Mike suggested the idea of wearing something festive and comfy. I had a lot of dresses in my closet, so I pulled out each dress one by one.

I found a red long-sleeved lacy dress in my pile. It had a slight plunge showing off my cleavage, but was modest enough for a family gathering. I bought it thinking it was cute, but never had an opportunity to wear it. I thought about pairing it with green Christmas tree earrings that I got from Kurt and Mercedes before school ended.

Satisfied with my dress, I decided to go downstairs and see what my parents were up to.

"Good morning! Merry Christmas!" I said to them in the living them.

"Merry Christmas sweetie" mom said as she gave me a hug. Dad stood up and gave me a hug as well.

"Do you guys need help wrapping gifts?" I asked them as I see them sitting down on the floor.

"Sure sweetie. We already wrapped yours and Mike's so no spoilers for you" dad said teasingly.

I frowned as a joke before I broke into a smile and sat down to help them wrap.

We ended up wrapping gifts for over an hour as my parents were telling me stories from when I was a young girl celebrating Christmas. We took so long, that by the time we noticed the actual time, I had to rush upstairs to shower for Mike's.

I quickly hopped into the shower and cleaned myself while trying not to rush at the same time. After showering, I put on my bathrobe and proceeded to do my hair and makeup. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and put on natural looking makeup and curled my hair.

Satisfied with my look, I stepped into my room and got dressed. I carefully zipped up my dress, making sure the zipper didn't get caught on the fabric or my hair. Once I zipped it up completely, I went to my vanity and got out the earrings. I carefully placed them in my ear, making sure that I didn't damage them.

"Tina! It's time to go!" mom shouted at me.

"Okay, coming!"

I quickly shrugged on a red jacket and shoved my feet into nice high heeled shoes. I grabbed my bag of gifts for Mike, his parents and my parents and went downstairs.

"Ready?" dad asked me. I nodded.

We stepped out and got into the car.

Mike's POV:

I had just gotten dressed when I hear the doorbell ring. Knowing that it was Tina and her parents, I rushed downstairs.

"I got it!" I shouted as I approached the door. I quickly looked in the mirror in the foyer before I took a deep breath and opened the door.

I smiled at Tina and her parents. I greeted them and moved out of the way in order to let them in. Being the gentleman, I offered to take their jackets as they removed their shoes.

"Well that's very sweet of you, Mike, thank you" Mrs Cohen-Chang said to me. I quickly hung her jacket up on the hanger before being given Mr Cohen-Chang's. I knew Tina was still a little bit cold so she kept her jacket on a little bit longer, but had taken off her shoes already.

I heard my parents come into the foyer to greet our guests.

"Mom, dad, this is Mr and Mrs Cohen-Chang" I said as I introduced them.

"Pleased to meet you" my mom said to them.

"You as well, you have a lovely home" Mrs Cohen-Chang said to her.

"Well thank you. I'm Julia, this is my husband Michael Sr"

"This is Paul, and I'm Mia"

"Well come on in and sit down in the living room" my dad said as he showed them the way.

As I watched our parents disappear, Tina finally handed me her jacket. I was about to take it when I saw what she was wearing.

"You look beautiful" I said to her breathlessly.

Tina blushed.

"You look very handsome" she tells me. I was wearing jeans with a button up top and had my sleeves rolled up halfway.

I smiled and leaned down to give her a kiss. She wrapped her arms around me to pull me closer. I never wanted to let her go.

We broke apart slowly as we heard our parents laughing about something in the living room. I clasped her hand and made our way into the living room to join our parents.

"So, what do you guys have planned?" Tina asks.

"Not much really, I think it'll be more of a relaxing type of Christmas while our parents get to know the other" I tell her.

Tina nods in agreement. We decided to sit on one couch while our parents sat on the other.

Tina and I decided to play some card games to kill some time before dinner.

We played a bunch of games to the point where we didn't even hear our parents migrate into the kitchen. We were about to play another round of blackjack when we heard our names being called.

"Mike! Tina! Dinner!"

We cleaned up the cards and placed them onto the table as we got up and headed into the kitchen. I knew my mom had made some noodles, along with tofu and veggies and had enough to feed an army. I helped Tina grab a bowl as she proceeded to the counter to scoop some food for herself. I followed her lead and eventually sat down at the table with our parents for dinner.

Tina and I sat next to each other as our parents sat across from one another. They started talking about our upcoming semester at school.

"Mike, how are classes going?" Tina's mom asked me.

I swallowed my food before I could answer.

"They're going pretty well. I usually have a free period at least everyday at school so I try to fit in homework in between classes"

"And how's Glee?" my mom asked Tina.

"Glee is going well. We just won Sectionals, so now we're getting ready to go for Regionals and then hopefully Nationals" Tina told her smoothly.

Our parents nodded in agreement as we started to finish up dinner. My parents shooed me and Tina into the living room as her parents helped them clean.

I pulled Tina into a corner in the hallway and leaned down to kiss her. She again wrapped her arms around my neck, keeping me close and not letting me move. Not that I wanted to, anyway. Eventually, I broke the kiss.

"What was that for?" Tina said breathlessly.

I pointed up with my head. Tina looked up and smiled as she saw the mistletoe hanging.

"You little sneak" Tina accused me playfully.

I smiled and laughed as I took her hand and we made our way back into the living room.

I sat down first and opened my arms up for Tina to sit next to me. She brought her presents close to her before she nestled herself into my arms and made herself comfortable.

Tina's POV:

In the next moment, as Mike and I got comfortable on the couch, our parents walked in. His parents sat on two chairs while my parents sat on the other couch.

"How about we open presents now?" Mrs Chang asked.

We all nodded. They decided that my parents give out their presents first, as we were the guests.

"My parents never bought your parents anything, is that okay?" I whispered to Mike.

"It's fine. My parents didn't either for your parents since obviously they didn't know what they liked and vice versa" Mike whispered back to me. I nodded, relieved that no hard feelings would come out of this.

Mom handed both Mike and I our presents. Doing rock paper scissors (and having our parents laugh at us), Mike ended up winning and he opened up his presents first.

My parents had given Mike a cardigan and a sweater for him to wear on a day to day basis. He smiled, as it were the colors that he normally wears at school and when he's with me.

"Thank you, Mr and Mrs Cohen-Chang, I love them"

I opened mine up next.

My parents this year gifted me a new flat iron for me to curl my hair more. I remembered saying to my mom that my current one was starting to die on me, as I had had it for years.

"Thank you, mom and dad, I love it"

Mike's parents decided that I go next. Nodding, I dug in my bag gifts for everyone – one each to my parents, one each to his parents, and one to Mike.

I had given both sets of parents a gift certificate to the mall (for the moms) and a voucher to go golfing (for the dads) as a way for them to bond more. Both sets of parents thanked me, with me smiling widely. I turned to Mike, waiting for him to open his gift.

Once the commotion died down, Mike opened his. Knowing his love for hats and scarves, I had gotten him a black Fedora and a red and blue scarf. Smiling widely, he kissed my cheek and whispered a thank you to me. I took his hand and held it as it was his parents turn to hand out gifts.

Mike's parents had given me a portable speaker for me to connect my phone with when I need to practice singing. I had never thought of getting one, as I usually blast music from my phone anyway. Plus, it saves Mike from having to bring his own whenever we want to practice dancing. I thanked them for the gift before turning to Mike.

Mike got a new pair of shoes from his parents. I knew that his current pair were starting to wear down from us dancing all the time in Glee club. Mike thanked his parents before getting his own gifts.

He handed out everyone's gifts at the same time, leaving mine for last.

Both of our parents got a voucher for dinner for two at Breadstix. They all smiled, as they loved popping into breadstix for coffee but never had a chance to sit down and eat inside.

I opened mine last. As I carefully teared the gift wrapping away, I got to the actual box. I looked at Mike, who smiled and nodded at me to open it. Inside was a heart-shaped necklace that was engraved saying, "To my Tina, I love you always." I teared up and took it out of the box.

"Mike you didn't" I said to him quietly.

"I did, because I love you"

I smiled and asked him to help me put it on my neck. Once I've felt the cold jewelry touch my neck and clasped, I turned around and kissed his cheek, whispering thank you to him.

Mike and I excused ourselves to head into his bedroom for some alone time. I told my parents to give me a shout when it was time to go.

I headed into Mike's room first and turned around to give him a long kiss.

"Thank you thank you for the necklace, babe. You didn't have to" I said to him as soon as we broke away.

"I wanted to, because I love you and I want to spoil you" Mike told me.

I smiled and pulled him onto his bed and cuddled against him. We spent an hour laying there whispering sweet nothings to each other until I heard my name.

"Tina! It's time to go!" Dad shouted at me.

"Okay!" I shouted back.

I grudgingly got up from Mike's warmth and turned to frown at Mike. He held my jacket up and helped me put it on as he gently pulled my curls out.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" I asked him hopefully.

He nods. "I can't go a day without seeing you"

I went on my tiptoes and gave him one last kiss before we went back downstairs to meet up with our parents again.

"Thank you so much for inviting us over, Julia and Michael, and of course Mike. We look forward to seeing you guys again" my mom tells them.

"Thank you for coming over. Tina, I'm sure we'll see you around here sometime in the near future" Julia tells me.

I nod. "Of course!"

"Likewise, with you, Mike?" my dad asks him.

"Yes sir" Mike says.

Mike and I quickly whisper our I love you's to each other before I step out with my parents and head straight into bed at home.
