Chapter 15 spring arrives
But all wasn't over yet…
The fairies and the cats looked up to see dark grey clouds looming above. Snowflakes started to fall. Bibble and Dizzle huddled together trying to keep warm.
Elina gasped.
"The first blush of spring!" she cried softly.
The cats looked and saw the withered blush starting to sink.
"Oh, that's it then," cried Faban dramatically. "Fairytopia is doomed!"
"What can we do?" asked Squirrelflight. "We can't leave Fairytopia like this."
The other cats nodded in agreement.
Jayfeather sensed something.
"What is it?" asked Lionblaze.
"There's still life in the blush" said Jayfeather.
Brambleclaw turned to face Elina.
"Elina, maybe if you and the other apprentices do the flight again, maybe it can heal the blush." He suggested.
"Brambleclaw's right," said Elina confidently. "We have to work together, it's our only chance to save it!"
The apprentices gathered around in a circle around the blush and joined hands. The cats stood in place with hopeful looks on their faces. The Enchantress, the cat spirits and the puffballs watched proudly.
The apprentices moved around in a circle. The blush stopped sinking and started to rise again. As they spun, everyone in the courtyard noticed that the blush was starting to turn pink again, which brought smiles on the cats faces.
Once the blush was fully pink again, Elina released a blue light into the blush and the other apprentices joined with their respective color of the rainbow. The blushed opened it's petals.
And out came hundreds of tiny butterflies. They had wings in every color of the rainbow, there were butterflies with red wings, some with orange wings, some with yellow wings, some with green wings, some with blue wings (both light and dark) and ones with purple wings.
The cats and fairies were all impressed.
"I've never seen so many butterflies in all my life!" exclaimed Dovewing to Ivypool with a happy face.
Leafpool smiled as a butterfly with red wings landed on her nose.
Bibble and Dizzle twirled around with the butterflies.
"It's the most beautiful thing I've seen" sighed Spottedleaf.
The butterflies then flew into the bottom of the blush and coming out of the top of the blush was the first rainbow of spring!
The rainbow shot all the way up to the sky and burst through the clouds.
"Look!" cried Hollyleaf. "The clouds and the snow are going away!"
And she was right, the grey clouds faded away brining back the blue sky!
"The blush is healed!" announced the Enchantress.
Bibble and Dizzle cheered and hugged Elina and the cats and the other apprentices gathered around Elina.
"And Fairytopia has another year of vitality until the next flight of spring" declared Jayfeather with smile.
"Once again Elina has saved all of Fairytopia" added Firestar.
"No, we all did Firestar!" said Elina proudly.
