Chapter 17
The Escape
Aliya sat on the ground staring at the floor. I hope everything will work out this time. Aliya thought. She looked over at Aragorn, he was sitting on the floor slumped against the wall. He looked beyond bored. At seeing this Aliya moved over to the bars and sat next to him.
"Do you think the plan will work?" She whispered.
Aragorn looked up at her. "It should. As long as nobody messes up. Otherwise we could be here for a long time." He said.
"I sure hope all goes well." Aliya said.
"It should. I'm personally worried about Pipp and Mary." Aragorn said.
"Why?" Asked Aliya.
"Ummm have you met them?" Aragorn asked.
"Alright I get it. You need to have a little faith in them though." She said.
Aragorn sighed. "Yeah I guess I do." He said.
The second after Aragorn finished his sentence they heard a bird call. At hearing this Aragorn did the same bird call.
"Why did you do that?" Aliya asked him.
"So then the people who are farther away can hear." Aragorn said as he started to de-hinge the door.
Aliya de-hinged her door too. Once she finished she sat back down next to Aragorn.
They sat there talking until finally the torches were put out.
Aliya stood up and quietly took the door off. Then she and Aragorn started off.
They walked quietly down the hall. Aragorn was holding a dimly lit torch. They quietly turned a corner and found a door. They pushed the door open. To their relief it was the exit outside.
Aragorn put the torch out and they took off.
"What about the others?" Aliya asked as they ran across the plain.
"We will be meeting up with them at Lothlorien." Aragorn said.
Soon they came upon a forest. Aragorn walked over to one of the bushes near the outside and pulled out Aliya's bow and daggers. He gave them to Aliya then got his sword.
Then they started off again.
They walked day and night until they came upon a forest.
Sorry it took me so long. I have been having trouble coming up with ideas on how to continue.
