Author's note: Hey guys ! Welcome back !

First off, I want to thank the guest who left a review on the last chapter, I'm glad you like the story so far ! Since I can't answer you in private, I'll do it here (without revealing too much). Don't worry, I thought a love spell would be repetitive so Audrey's plan is a little bit different...

That been said, in this chapter we focus on Uma's version of the coronation ball !

As this chapter is short and goes hand in hand with the next one, I will post chapter 16 tomorrow ! Stay tuned for that !

Now, enjoy !

Chapter 15 - Leaving the ball before midnight

Uma was having fun. Cooking that potion was the best idea she had since she got here. She had only spent four days hidden in Harry and Gil's room, but she felt like she was coming out of jail and discovering the world all over again. She could dance, eat, listen to gossip without being scared that someone would recognize her. She even crossed paths with Carlos and a chubby girl and he apologized for bumping her shoulder. Yep, she felt like she was pranking the entire world and she loved the feeling. Nothing could ruin her night.

Right as she was thinking this, she walked upon Harry, heavily flirting with a girl almost his height, with a tight bodycon dress and too much mascara. Uma bit the inside of her cheek and gave him the bitchiest look ever. She was not stupid enough to think that Harry had kept his hands, mouth or body to himself during his time on the Isle without her; but she thought that he would the decency to not flirt with other girls while she was - supposedly - locked up in his room.

But already, he was dancing with the girl, his hands all over her waist and thighs. Uma felt her blood boiling. It took all of her self control and pride to stop her from jumping on him and causing a scene. Bitter and mad, she walked away - murder on her mind. She was hesitating between suffocating him with his pillow in his sleep or poisoning his food, when she witnessed something strange...

A few meters away from her, Ben - freshly crowned - and Audrey were dancing together. Uma's first reflexe was to snicker. It looked like Mal had finally lost her little boyfriend. And anything that would make Mal, even just a little bit, sad had the power to make Uma smiled. But then, she noticed something. Placed on Ben's shoulder, agitated by little spasms - Audrey's hand was blue. Uma frowned. It was subtle, very hard to see - only the tip of her fingers had turned a weird color and anyone else who would see it would probably just think that the girl was cold. But Uma knew what it meant. It was the mark of dark magic on someone who couldn't handle it.

She thought about what she had read on twitter, about what Harry told her. The King's curse, the stolen spellbook. Could it be... ? She needed proof. Although, she would have liked to stay at the party much longer, she was too smart to ignore her intuition. If what she was thinking turned out to be right, it could be her ticket to freedom.

In a rush, she turned around on her heels and bumped her forehead right into a man's chest. Before, she could even say "ouch" a wavy black haired, blue eyed boy with a jawline that could cut a diamond in two was bowing before her.

"Well, well, well…" he said "I look - and you my little duckling are… ravishing."

Uma rolled her eyes, and pushed Harry away with the back of her hand.

"Move away, fuckboy."

And before he could say anything else, she was out of the ball's room. Damn, that guy was such a player ! Uma had given herself the most blend and boring apparence ever, and yet he could not stop himself from mumbling stupid pick up lines and cheesy words. That guy really flirted with everything, as long as it was alive and human - boy, girl, ugly or not. And to be honest, Uma was starting to find it offensive. She was too damn cute to date a boy without standards.

She groaned in frustration but pushed her anger to the back of her mind. She would make sure to handle him later; right now, she had business to take care of - before the potion's effect wore off.

It took her fifteen minutes to walk across the entire campus, back to the dorms, and twenty more minutes to find the right room. Already, the bell was ringing midnight and Uma crossed her fingers, hoping she had drunk enough potion. She had planned to be back in Harry's room before the clock hit twelve - in case the pirate had decided to come back before the party ended. At any moment now, she could be back in her regular - but gorgeous - body.

That been said, she could not go back now. She was too close to her salvation. And so, she kept searching until her eyes laid on a door with plate written "Audrey's room". She smiled. A hand on her seashell necklace, she opened the locked door and snuck inside. Instantly, she cringed. Everything was pink - the furniture, the bed sheets, the clothes on the floor. Damn, that girl had no taste. Uma took a look around the room. At first glance, it looked like the most stereotypical teenager room ever. Movie posters on the walls, clothes and make up everywhere, a curling iron laying in a corner next to a outlet. But, after a while, she noticed the shattered glass in the paper bean, photos on the floor - and, of course, the dying rose placed on the desk.

"I'm always right" she whispered to herself

But before she could do anything, the door closed shut behind her and a voice broke the silence.

"You bitch."

Uma turned around. Audrey was staring at her - with red eyes and mascara on her cheeks.
