Ducktales Season 1 Episode 28 – The End of the Shadow War Part 5
As Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby mourn the loss of Lena, the Fabulous Five (with Donald at the very back), Beakely, Launchpad and Duckworth go up to Scrooge, Gyro, Fenton, Manny and Lil'Bulb. Scrooge smiles at the sight of Mickey, Goofy and Minnie who he hadn't seen for a couple of months.
Scrooge: If it isn't me nephew's best friends from childhood.
Mickey: Well hiya Scrooge!
Scrooge: Ahh King Mickey. It's an honour to see you again. It's been some time old friend.
Scrooge hold out his hand and Mickey gladly shakes it with both his.
Mickey: It sure has. It's nice to see ya again old man.
Scrooge: Aye! Same here lad.
He lets go and turns his smile to Mickey's wife.
Scrooge: Queen Minnie. It's great to see you again as well lass.
Minnie: Why thank you Scrooge. I'm so happy you're free and alive!
Scrooge: Scrooge laughs cockily. We Ducks and McDucks never back down. It'll take more than some melancholy medusa like Magica sealing me in my own dime to keep ol'Scrooge McDuck down!
Minnie: Minnie can't help but chuckle at his overconfidence. I can tell.
Scrooge: Scrooge turns to Goofy. Goofy! Good to see you lad!
Goofy: Howdy Scrooge! A-hyuck! It's great to see ya again too!
Scrooge: Tell me, how's Max been?
Goofy: Goofy smiles at the thought of his son. He's in college now. But he says hi!
Scrooge: That's good to hear.
Mickey: How's everything been going Scrooge, prior to the whole Sunchaser incident I mean?
Scrooge: Well before all that, things were going very well actually. The adventures still bring more treasures and fun, the Buzzards are still annoying me to no end, and Duckworth is back from the dead. You know, the usual.
Minnie: Oh we could tell!
Scrooge: And what about you?
Goofy: Oh we've been doing good! After the Organization was defeated, being back home never felt so good!
Scrooge: How did you defeat this Organization?
Mickey: Sora and Riku finished off their leader Xemnas for good.
Scrooge: Well that's good to hear! I should expect no less from that lad, Sora.
Gyro steps up and gives a smiling greeting by taking his hat off and then putting it back.
Gyro: Your Majesties. Captain Goofy.
Goofy: Hey their Gyro.
Mickey & Minnie: Hi/Hello Dr Gearloose! Fenton approaches them excitedly.
Fenton: King Mickey, Queen Minnie! It's such an honour to see you again! You remember me don't you! Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera! We met a sometime ago in your castle.
Mickey and Minnie shakes one of his hands each and chuckle.
Mickey: Of course we remember you Fenton.
Minnie: It's wonderful to see you again!
Goofy: Goofy approaches the intern with a wave. Hola Dr Cabrera!
Fenton: Fenton returns that greeting. Hola Goofy. Though, technically, that's not how doctor works. Just Fenton is fine.
When Manny approaches them with Lil'Bulb riding him the three of them reel back a bit freaked out. Fenton gestures to them both.
Fenton: Oh, these are Manny and Lil'Bulb.
Manny: (Greetings).
Lil'Bulb give bow as Manny holds out his front hoof for a shake. Mickey is still weirded out but shakes it anyway.
Mickey: Uh…it's nice to meet you guys.
Goofy: Gawrsh. A moving light bulb with limbs and horse with Scrooge's head as a head, just when you think you've seen it all…
Minnie can't help but laugh in agreement. It was at that moment Daisy tackles Scrooge for a joyous hug much to his surprise.
Daisy: Welcome back Uncle Scrooge! We've really missed you.
Scrooge: Scrooge smiles warmly and returns the hug. I've missed you too, Daisy. It's good to be back. Scrooge pulls back and they smile at each other. Though, I have to admit you really surprised me today with the way you fought. Since when were you capable of fighting like that?
Daisy: Daisy smiles slyly. Minnie and I may have taken a couple of self-defence classes and swordsmanship lessons to be prepared to fight back instead of remaining as damsels in distress.
Scrooge: For a moment Scrooge is proud but then that turns to shame. Daisy…I owe you a big apology.
Daisy: Huh? For what?
Scrooge: For what I did to you in plane 3 days ago. Daisy is taken aback as Scrooge looks away in regret. I never meant to hurt you like that. I was so angry…tha-that I just wasn't thinking clearly, I-
Daisy: It's okay Uncle Scrooge. Scrooge looks to see Daisy giving a forgiving and compassionate expression. It wasn't your fault, I was never mad at you for that. I know you'd never want to hurt me like that. It was just an accident. Scrooge smiles gratefully at Daisy before she slowly moves out of the way. Besides, there's someone who wants to talk with you.
Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Beakely and Launchpad all move out of the way to present Donald who stares at his Uncle almost as though he's going to cry, an expression that Scrooge returns at the sight of his estranged nephew.
Scrooge: Donald…
Donald: Hi Uncle Scrooge…
The both of them slowly walk up to each other to have the reconciliation that was long overdue.
As this happens Dewey, Huey and Webby help Louie up after his emotional breakdown. He sniffs one last time and wipes his eyes as Dewey pats him.
Dewey: You okay buddy.
Louie: Yeah. I'll be fine now. I just needed to let it all out. I'm just…I'm just really going to miss her.
Webby: Webby wraps her arm around Louie. I know how you feel Louie. I'm going to miss her too.
Huey: We all will.
Louie: Louie turns around looking touched. I guess in the end…she really did love me. I just wish I could've told her how I really felt.
Webby: You know Louie…I think she did know.
Dewey: She'll always be a part of you. She'll be a part of us all forever.
Huey: And know this Lou. You may not have Lena now but you'll always have us. And we'll always be there for you.
The four kids bring it and get into a group hug, happily reminiscing about Lena together before separating and Louie smiles gratefully.
Louie: Thanks guys. She may be gone…but that doesn't mean we'll forget her. She was a hero.
Webby: We'll cherish her forever.
Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby proceed to walk to the adults and watch Scrooge and Donald make amends. Louie stops to gaze at the gem and then to the moon, picturing Lena's face in the skies smiling at him. He smiles back at the image of his love.
Louie: Lena… I don't know how, but…I know that somehow…you're alive…whether you are or not, I'll never stop believing…because you mean a lot to me, to Webby and to all of us…I love you…
He walks back to the others and they continue making their way to the adults. Lena takes form again and lets out a tear of joy, incredibly touched by Louie's words and confession.
Lena: Louie…
Donald nervously stares at his uncle and gulps nervously, fearing his rejection after everything the mage did to him. Daisy, Mickey, Goofy and Minnie are praying that this all works out for good.
Donald: Uh…Uncle Scrooge…there's something I need to get off my chest.
Scrooge: Scrooge stares back with a bit of a frown. I'm listening.
Donald: I…I…I… Beakely loudly clears her throat, forcing Donald to say it. I'm really SORRY! Scrooge widens his eyes in surprise from hearing that. I'm sorry for blaming you for what happened 10 years ago and for abandoning you when you needed me.
Now Scrooge lowers his eyebrows in sadness as Donald looks down in misery.
Donald: Daisy and Mrs. B told me how you worked day and night to try and search for Della until you were almost completely bankrupt! For 10 years I thought all you ever cared about was yourself and that adventure was more important to you than your family. But now I know how wrong I was, family meant the whole world to you. Me and Della meant the whole world to you and I failed to completely see that because I was too blinded by my own anger.
Scrooge: My boy. Scrooge places a hand on Donald's shoulder with an equally sad expression. I'm the one who's sorry, you have nothing to apologise for. Everything that happened was my own fault. His expression turns into anger towards himself. If I hadn't built that cursed, confounded rocket-! He sighs in misery, unable to let it out. I should've listened to you about the dangers of going into outer space. You had every right to be angry with me…
Donald: Della would've found another way. She always was the most resourceful out of the three of us. I admit I was angry at you but…now I realize I was only focusing on my own pain from what happened. I never thought once about how you felt when she disappeared. Donald's expression becomes sorrowful and regretful. You needed my help to get through the guilt and pain but instead I made you feel worse by isolating myself and the boys from you. I never bothered to realize that when I became broken and lost my twin sister you lost your favourite niece.
Donald looks in remorse as he thinks about another memory which he prefers not to speak of.
Donald: You know, I once blew up at you and Della for never considering my feelings when we were on Ithaquack. Scrooge looks down still feeling guilty over his treatment of Donald in their earlier adventures. But 10 years ago I made the same mistake. I forgive you. I'm really sorry Uncle Scrooge. I'm sorry I resented you for all these years, for not considering your feelings and for keeping the boys from you. I was only caring about myself like I had accused you and Della of a lot of times before! I was just a selfish hypocritical palooka! I'm the worst nephew in the word!
Scrooge: Scrooge puts on a touched and big smile with tears welling up in his eyes, happy to finally hear those words. I'm sorry too. Donald, if I could go back in time to change what I did then I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Donald: So would I. Donald wells up with tears as well. And I'm truly sorry for what I did on the Sunchaser and for treating you the way I did Uncle Scrooge! The whole argument, the fight, all of it…that was my fault; I was too angry, arrogant and stubborn and I said horrible things to you. What happened in the past didn't justify what I did and they way I treated. Some tears leak out of his regretful eyes. I was nothing but a horrible piece of scum to you!
Scrooge: Scrooge gasps in shock with what he just heard. Donald!
Donald: Donald is close to bursting as he shakes his head while everyone else watches with sympathy on their faces. I never should've said any of those things…or blamed you for all of it. And I should never have started that dumb fight, not to the one who took care of me and my sister after what happened to Mom and Dad. I was a horrible, selfish nephew to you!
Scrooge: I'm sorry too. Scrooge looks down in shame as his eyes glisten and come close to gushing out tears. I wasn't any better lad; I should've listened to you on that plane. If I had just taken yours and Beakely's advice we never would've been in that situation. And I'm sorry for burning your arm and for hitting Daisy. I never meant to hurt either you.
Donald: I know that now. I was too stubborn and pig-headed to know sooner. He dares to nervously look up. But there's something else I want to know.
Scrooge: What would that be lad?
Donald: Um… well… when Daisy and Mrs. B. were making me realize that it was wrong to leave you after what happened with Della… they mentioned that you… well… saw me as… Donald gulps nervously, praying that what he was told is true and not a lie used to cheer him up. Your… son… Is that true?
Scrooge says nothing, he just opens his beak wide open in surprised before looking to Daisy and Beakely for answers. They nod in confirmation, letting him know that this is what they told Donald. Scrooge then turns back around to give Donald a fatherly smile, the kind he hasn't given him in a long time.
Scrooge: Yes. It's all completely true, lad; I never had kids of me own before. But…after your parents died and you and your sister came into my life…as the days went by…I saw you two as my own children, the ones I swore to your mum and dad I would protect. You became the son I wish I had and Della became my daughter. When I first met you I could see bits of myself in both of you.
Mickey and the rest couldn't help but watch, tears threatening to leave their eyes as they watch this father-son moment.
Donald: But I always felt there weren't really any similarities between us, otherwise I would've been as close to you as Della was.
Scrooge: Scrooge stares at his nephew apologetically. You were closer to me than you realize.
Scrooge sighs deeply in sadness and guilt as he thinks back to the previous adventures before Ithaquack that involved Donald going through embarrassing stunts that either humiliated him or almost got him killed while ruining his self-esteem.
Scrooge: Donald, I know from the beginning it seemed like I was pushing you too hard and out of my life. That all became painfully clear on Ithaquack and for that I'm sorry. He puts a hand on his shoulder for while with a smile. And I know there were times afterwards when I was harder on you than I was on Della…but that was because I know you think the world is out to get you and no one understands you, with your bad luck and your voice being the way it is. I thought I could try to help you to focus your rage and make it so when the world fights; you're able to fight back and win.
Donald: Donald smiles, touched by uncle's words of kindness. It's ok Uncle Scrooge. I understand now. And… Donald rubs his arm sheepishly. I always saw you as my father.
Scrooge: Scrooge is surprised almost tearfully. You really mean that lad?
Donald: Of course I do. After Mom and Dad died, you were the closest thing we had to a father. You always took care of us and watched out for us. And even after what happened on Ithaquack… Scrooge winces a little bit in guilt. I still care about you. You looked out for us all the time. And I really appreciate that. Donald sighs morosely in sadness. I'm sorry I never told you sooner.
Scrooge: Scrooge just smiles without holding anything against him. Water under the bridge lad. I'll always love ya.
Donald: I love you too Uncle Scrooge. His eyes begin to fill up with tears once again as he thinks of the way he abandoned. But I should've showed it all sooner. You were right about me in the plane! You took care of me and Della ever since we lost our parents but instead of being grateful for that I repaid you by abandoning you when you needed and I kept ruthlessly blaming you for everything. I'm really sorry! This entire war…you getting sealed away…what happened to Lena… it was all my fault? If I hadn't broke you the way I did by abandoning you and left you vulnerable to Magica this never would've happened! The tears are now streaming down his face, regretful for his cruel actions. For years I've been blaming you for the Spear of Selene and have kept you away from the boys. Well no more. He sheepishly rubs his shoulder. Our family has been apart too long. He puts on a nervous smile. It's time for us to come together.
Donald spreads out both his arms for a hug as the tears continue streaming down and leaving his face.
Donald: Do you think you can find it in your heart to forgive your selfishly stupid nephew and start over old man?
Scrooge spreads out his arms the same way with tears streaming down his face and a big smile on.
Scrooge: Come here lad.
Donald and Scrooge walk towards each other and wrap their arms around one another for a joyful and tearful embrace. Most of every around them watches almost in tears, Daisy and Minnie have their hands clasped together crying out tears of joy to see the both of them finally reconciling and making amends after 10 years of hatred, anger and resentment. Donald has his face buried in the crook of Scrooge's neck letting out all his emotions and tears continuing to stream down, completely feeling like a child again. Scrooge has his arms wrapped around Donald as tight as possible with tears streaming down his face, not wanting to let go of his nephew again.
Daisy: Oh, Donald…I'm so happy for you…
Mickey: Way to go bud.
Minnie: Oh…this is so touching.
Goofy: Goofy clasps his eyes almost in tears. Gawrsh that's sweet.
They stay like this for a while until they finally separate and aim forgiving smiles at each other.
Scrooge then turns to Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby who exchange nervous and regretful glances. Scrooge frowns, causing the boys to put on guilt and regretful expressions over their anger towards him earlier.
Dewey: Uh…hey…Uncle Scrooge?
Scrooge: Yes lad…
Dewey: Dewey feels butterflies forming in his stomach but plucks up the courage to speak. Um, I-We…we're…we're really sorry…for what we said on the plane and what we did afterwards.
Scrooge was shocked with the apology he's hearing from his grandnephews as they look up with teary and remorseful eyes.
Huey: We know that you had the Spear of Selene built, but we should've realized that you felt a lot of guilt in your heart after you lost mom.
Louie: Yeah. We should've realized that you lost her too that day. We were so caught up in how we were feeling that we didn't consider how you felt as well.
Dewey: We thought you only cared about your money. But when Mrs. B and Aunt Daisy told us that you nearly went bankrupt to get mom back and that your board of directors dragged you away from the project, literally, we realized…we were wrong and that you really did care about Mom…about Uncle Donald…and about us…
Louie: We were just being selfish. We had every right to be mad, but not to keep throwing guilt at you like that, especially after you were forced to go through it once. You were almost destroyed because of that.
Huey: We're really sorry, Uncle Scrooge. What we did…it was just wrong. We never should've ditched you like that.
Dewey: This wasn't just Uncle Donald's fault. It's because of all of us that you were left vulnerable to Magica…because we emotionally broke and traumatised you by making you relive that stuff from 10 years ago…and…I'm the sorriest of all Uncle Scrooge. I was the ringleader in our argument 3 days ago.
Scrooge smiles at them, touched and once again close to tears from their sincere apology.
Scrooge: Thanks lads. I regret building that blasted rocket every day. I really did care about your mum, just like how I care about you, your uncle, and the others. And I'm sorry I lashed out as well.
Dewey: We forgive you.
Scrooge: So do I.
Scrooge then guiltily turns to Webby who looks at him nervously. He sighs deeply remembering how he said she wasn't family despite having given her the right to call him Uncle Scrooge.
Scrooge: Uh, Webbigail…Webby?
Webby: Yeah?
Scrooge: Lass, I'm sorry for what I said on the plane. I was so frustrated and defensive that…I-I wasn't thinking straight. I had absolutely no right to say that you weren't family. You are a part of this family Webby. You're like the great-niece I never had and I love you. Scrooge gives Webby a smile. Do ya think you could ever forgive this old codger?
Webby: Webby's anxiety is replaced with a forgiving smile. Of course I do. She then lowers her eyebrows and head in guilt. And…I'm sorry too…about what I said. I thought I was trying to ease the situation but I just made it worse. But I'm not going to hold anything against you Mr McDuck. That wouldn't be healthy.
Scrooge: Scrooge bends down with a sly smile and his arms spread out. Call me Uncle Scrooge.
Webby in tears of joy runs over and jumps into his arm for a hug. Beakely watches the scene almost in tears herself, happy that Scrooge has made things right with Webby. When he pulls back and gets up Scrooge turns back to the boys.
Scrooge: Huey, Louie, the third one. Dewey lowers his eyebrow in annoyance. Scrooge's smile becomes wider and overjoyed. Curse me kilts, have I missed you!
The boys' expressions turn into huge and joyful smiles. They laugh it out and tackle their great uncle for a hug, happy to forgive him and happy to know that he forgives them. Webby also joins in the hug, followed by Daisy and then Donald. The 7 of them share a big family hug together.
Donald: Family truly is the greatest adventure, treasure and magic in the world.
Scrooge: It sure is.
Daisy: I agree.
Dewey: Speaking of magic… The Duck Boys happily tackle Donald to the floor with hungrily eager expressions. How did you become a mage!?
Huey: Do you suffer from any side effects when using magic. He holds out his fingers. How many fingers am I holding up!?
Louie: You never told us you were that cool Uncle Donald!
Dewey: You owe us like a lot of stories and explanations!
Donald lifts himself up and chuckles nervously.
Donald: I guess I do.
Dewey, Huey and Louie look at him, wanting to know everything, as do Scrooge, Webby and everyone else. He looks to Daisy who puts a hand on his shoulder with a smile and then to Mickey, Minnie and Goofy who all give Donald looks of encouragement to tell him to be strong and they're with them.
Dewey: So you've been a mage for over 60 years?
Donald: Yes that's right, your Uncle Scrooge and Della were the only ones who knew about it. Mickey, Goofy, Queen Minnie, Daisy, Chip, Dale, Gladstone, Grandpa Fergus, Grandma Downy, Grandma Duck and another cousin of mine knew as well.
Huey: They turn to Scrooge in confusion. Wait, you knew Uncle Donald was a mage?
Louie: But you hate magic?
Scrooge: I do, but it depends on how the magic is used. In Donald's case he doesn't use his gift as a shortcut in life. Scrooge smiles proudly at Donald. Instead he uses it to help people and only in battle or an adventure so I gave him my full support and acceptance.
Donald: And I'm still grateful for that.
Dewey: Dewey then turns to Mickey, Goofy, Minnie and Daisy. And how long have you guys known?
Mickey: We've known for as long as they have, over 60 years.
Daisy: Donald told us about him being a mage two month after he learned how to harness his magic.
Beakely: And you told my granddaughter your secret?
Webby: No. I found out on my own through secret conversations Scrooge and Donald have had together.
Dewey: Okay, makes sense.
Beakely just sighs, knowing her granddaughters tendency for investigations and eavesdropping. Webby's shadow turns into Lena to give a sly smirk.
Beakely: I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised.
Huey: But how could you have been a mage for so long without us ever knowing.
Donald: Well, you all know here that there are infinite numbers of worlds out there other than our own, right.
Scrooge: Absolutely, I should know since I travelled through some of those worlds to expand my company on a universal level.
Beakely: Mr McDuck has told me about that.
Launchpad: Oh yeah, he told me too.
Duckworth: Indeed I do.
Gyro: I definitely know about that.
Fenton: So do I! Though it was hard to believe at first.
Dewey: We've been to other worlds too.
Huey: Yeah, Uncle Scrooge took us to Traverse Town and Radiant Garden.
Louie: We sold some cool stuff in those places and we even saw you a couple of times.
Dewey: You told us you were doing odd jobs for Disney Castle and you went on some sort of business accounting trip with Goofy.
Huey: And a human boy named Sora, though we found it weird that a castle hired a young boy to work for him.
Donald gets anxious with what he's about to reveal but the looks from Mickey, Goofy, Minnie and Daisy prompts him to the right thing.
Donald: Well, the truth is boys, what I said was only half true. I was travelling on behalf of Disney Castle but I wasn't on a business trip. The truth is…my real job at the castle is that I'm the Royal Court Magician of King Mickey.
The boys, Beakely and everyone else except for Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Daisy, Scrooge and Webby who cringe gasp in shock with their mouths wide open from hearing this new piece of information.
Duck Boys: What!? You're Mickey's Royal Court Magician!
Dewey: Mickey, is it really true!? Is Uncle Donald really your Royal Court Magician?
Mickey: He sure is! He has been for quite some time. About month after I became King of Disney Town!
Louie: Then they turn their attention to Goofy. But what about you Goofy? Uncle Donald told us you were the castles accountant and photographer.
Goofy: He did? Goofy turns to Donald in surprise. Donald is that true?
Donald: Donald chuckles nervously. Yeah…I didn't want to arouse any suspicion so I had to lie about your job too?
Goofy: I guess that makes sense. Goofy turns back to the others. At any rate, I'm not an accountant. But I am a photographer, just not for Disney Castle.
Fenton: The truth is boys; Goofy is actually the Captain of King Mickey's Royal Guard! I've been to Disney Castle myself to see that.
The boys, Beakely, Duckworth and Launchpad have their mouths wide open in shock.
Duck Boys: What!?
Beakely: Goofy!? You're a captain!?
Goofy: Sure am! A-hyuck!
Duckworth: Well…that is a rather a big surprise considering your…colourful personality.
Donald looks down looking a little nervous and regretful from keeping this all a secret.
Donald: Yeah…and Goofy and I travelled around all sorts of different worlds with Sora to battle the Heartless.
Huey immediately puts that part together.
Huey: Wait, aren't the Heartless those creepy creatures that are created from the darkness in people's hearts.
Daisy: Yeah, that's right. And Donald, Sora and Goofy fought more than just Heartlesses.
Goofy: The three of us encountered a lot of enemies together!
Donald: That's right, for 2 years we fought all sorts of monsters, an evil fairy and an evil organisation bent on spreading darkness across all worlds.
Mickey: I helped too, but more discreetly as I was helping Sora's friend Riku and trying to solve the mysteries of our enemies.
Goofy: We all made a pretty good team!
The boy's mouths almost drop to the floor with what they're hearing. Their supposedly boring uncle hates travelling and he hated going on adventures after Della's disappearance. Every job he took to take care of them was lame temporary ones. To hear that he has a real job at a castle no less and is a mage who travelled around different worlds fighting really powerful beings is a really big shock to them.
Launchpad: Whoa! That is awesome Mr.D!
Huey: Wow…that's a lot to take in.
Dewey: So you don't really hate adventure?
Donald: Not really, no. Louie immediately becomes more interested when he hears 2 years.
Louie: Wait…2 years? No, that can't be right. Dewey and Huey see his point and lower their eyebrows in confusion.
Dewey: Yeah. Whenever you left for that "business trip" you always came back a couple of days later, not a couple of years, otherwise we'd be cool looking teenagers by now.
Webby taps her fingers nervously and Scrooge taps his cane with a nervous laugh. Mickey scratches his head anxiously and Minnie and Daisy chuckle a little uneasily with what they're about to reveal
Scrooge: Uh…well…funny thing about that actually…
Minnie: There's actually a lot more to this than you realize boys.
Webby: You see, to all of US it was a couple of days.
Dewey: What do you mean?
Donald: The thing is boys. I had a wizard called Yen Sid cast a spell that changed the passage of time for all of you. For me, Goofy, Mickey, Daisy and Minnie I've been travelling and fighting the Heartless for a couple of years. From your perspective I've only been gone for two or three days.
This brings complete silence to the atmosphere as everyone are too shocked for words except for Scrooge and Webby who've known for a long time.
Manny: (GASP!) Lil'Bulb clasps his bulb head in shock.
Louie: No…way…
Dewey: Wait…so let me get this straight, you've been fighting deadly monsters and really powerful beings for two years but to us you were going on some boring business trip for a couple of days.
Donald: That's pretty much accurate.
Huey: What about you Uncle Scrooge?
Scrooge: The spell was casted on me too as to avoid any confusion and suspicion.
Webby: In fact, it was casted on most of this world. So it was two days to all of us.
Minnie: Except for me, Daisy and everyone living in Disney Town.
Daisy: Master Yen Sid kept us and all the residents in the normal passage of time.
Mickey: Yen Sid was able to do that because he is the most powerful mage in all the worlds.
Dewey: Wait, I thought you were the most powerful Mage of all worlds Uncle Donald.
Donald: No, I'm the most powerful Mage of this world. Master Yen Sid is far more powerful than I am. He's the 1st most powerful Mage of all worlds.
Louie: So you're number 2.
Donald: No. My teacher Merlin is the 2nd most powerful Mage of all worlds. He taught me the ways of the Mage and how to harness my magic. I'm the 3rd most powerful Mage of all worlds.
Beakely: 3rd most powerful? Beakely can't help but be impressed. That's quite an impressive feat.
Donald: Donald rubs the back of his head sheepishly. Thanks Mrs B.
Minnie: Master Yen Sid also taught Mickey how to wield the Keyblade since he's a Keyblade Master. But he has long since retired.
Launchpad: Just what is a Keyblade exactly?
Louie: Are they all made of gold?
Louie rubs his hands, intrigued while most of the family deadpans at him. Mickey can't help but chuckle at Louie's love for gold before holding out his hand.
Mickey: This is a keyblade!
In a gold blast and sparkles of light Kingdom Key D is summoned in his hands. The sight of it makes Beakely, Launchpad, Gyro, Fenton and Duckworth open their mouths in shock.
Gyro: Remarkable!
An impressed Launchpad whistles in amazement.
Fenton: Blathering Blatherskite!
Beakely: A key-shaped sword!
Duckworth: I've been in the afterlife and even I've never seen anything like this!
Webby: Webby is practically hopping in excitement. It's really cool isn't it!?
The Fabulous five all chuckle at the surprise everyone is feeing.
Daisy: The Keyblade is a really ancient weapon.
Mickey: No one really knows how they were created. But it can be wielded by a being of pure heart, whether it's full of light or darkness.
Huey: Huey points at Mickey. And you have a pure enough heart your majesty?
Minnie: Why of course his heart is pure! Minnie smiles proudly at her husband. That's why the Keyblade chose him.
Dewey: Is it one of kind like Uncle Donald's staff?
Mickey: Nope! He temporarily switches out his blade for Star Seeker. There are multiple Keyblades out there and there are others who wield them like our friend Sora.
Louie: How do you get one?
Mickey: Usually it's done by a bequeathing, like what Master Yen Sid did for me. But it usually has to recognize your heart if it is or has become pure or not. And your heart also needs to be strong.
The boys have their beaks agape in awe, their eyes becoming doe eyes.
Louie: Wow…
Dewey: So cool…
Huey: And it's so beautiful at the same time…
Gyro leans his head closer in interest.
Gyro: And what can this magical weapon do exactly?
Fenton: Not just open locks, right?
The Fabulous Five become excitable as Mickey dismisses his Keyblade.
Goofy: More than that! It can unlock gateways to different worlds…
Minnie: Reverse curses and spells that trap others in different forms…
Donald: Unlock your hearts - the physical ones, not the beating ones…
Daisy: And they're good weapons in combat.
Mickey: Keyblades are one of the most powerful weapons in existence. Very few weapons can rival their power…
Donald: My Save the Queen staff being one of those weapons.
Launchpad: Launchpad double whistles. Wow. Not bad.
Beakely: That is quite impressive!
Webby: Ooh! It makes me wish I had one myself!
Dewey: Man…and I thought there was nothing that can be just as powerful as Uncle Donald's staff.
Huey: But it's a big universe out there apparently.
Gyro: Intern! Jot this down! I want to remember every minute of this!
Fenton: Yes sir! Fenton quickly gets out a notebook and pen and begins taking notes.
Goofy: Anyway, back to the topic, Master Yen Sid was able to make time in this section of our world and in my hometown as well so you guys would think 2 days would pass instead of 2 years.
Huey lowers an eyebrow in confusion, he understand why the spell was casted on Duckburg but why Goofy's home.
Huey: Why your hometown too?
Goofy: Because at the time my son Max didn't know I was a knight… He turns and lowers his head in guilt. …At least…not until I told him after I got back.
Donald: That way we wouldn't arouse suspicion as to why we were gone for so long.
Daisy: Yen Sid trusted Scrooge as well since he's been on adventures for so many years.
Huey, Dewey and Louie look at their Uncle Donald with expressions of hurt and anger, as angry at they were at him and Scrooge about their mother. He's kept another big secret from them and they feel their rage close to exploding again like it did on the houseboat three days ago.
Dewey: We want some answers Uncle Donald, now!
Louie: First you lie to us about our Mom and now this!
Huey: How could you keep this from us, your own nephews!?
Donald looks down in sadness, knowing this was coming and he was going to have to face his boys sooner or later about this. Webby and Scrooge are worried about a repeat of the Sunchaser while Daisy is worried for that and a repeat of the horrible and hurtful argument that hurt Donald on the houseboat three days ago. Not wanting to see that again Daisy, Mickey, Goofy and Minnie step up one by one and get in between Donald and the boys.
Daisy: Boys, please calm down!
Mickey: Mickey and Minnie are desperately motioning them to be calm. Donald wasn't trying to hurt you three. He was just trying to protect you!
Minnie: Huey, Dewey, Louie I know you're upset with that amount of secrets Donald has kept from you but please hear us out!
Goofy: I know this is all nuts you guys but listen-!
Donald: No! Everyone looks to Donald in surprise as he walks up with a firm expression. I'll be the one to explain!
Daisy: But Donald-!
Donald: I've lied to my nephews long enough! It's time I end this and take responsibility for it all!
He gently pushes Mickey and Daisy out of the way to walks up to his three nephews who give him piercing angry stares that Donald tries hardest not to fall apart at sight of them as he looks at them in guilt.
Donald: Boys, I'm sorry. I really am! I didn't want you to know I was a mage; otherwise you would've either followed me during my travels or stowed away on the Gummiship. The adventures I went on were 10 times more dangerous than the ones we take here; I couldn't allow you to be in that kind of danger.
This just only served to make the boys angrier and they were practically shouting like before.
Dewey: BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE DIDN'T HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW! WE'RE FAMILY!
Huey: YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE OUR FATHER FIGURE! HOW CAN WE TRUST YOU WHEN YOU KEEP SECRETS LIKE THIS FROM US?!
Dewey: FIRST MOM'S FATE, THEN UNCLE SCROOGE BEING OUR GREAT-UNCLE, AND NOW THIS?! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS LIE TO YOUR OWN KIDS?!
Louie: WE FACE MAGICAL THREATS ALL THE TIME NOW! WHY COULDN'T YOU TELL US YOU WERE MAGIC TOO?!
Huey: WE TRUSTED YOU FOR 10 YEARS AND YOU LIE TO US LIKE WE DON'T DESERVE TO KNOW THE REAL YOU!
Dewey: YOU ALWAYS TOLD US NOT TO LIE BUT YOU JUST KEPT THESE GINORMOUS SECRETS FROM US!
Louie: IN A WAY, ALL OF OUR LIES AREN'T ANYTHING COMPARED TO THIS! HOW COULD YOU?!
Donald: Donald was on the verge of crying once again as he desperately and explains. I know! I know! Believe me boys I hated lying to you about it and I'm sorry! After what happened to your Mom I just couldn't bear to lose you! I just couldn't allow myself to lose you like I lost Della! If you knew what I was you'd be in danger!
Huey: We're in danger all the time on adventures!
Donald: I know! I thought I was keeping you safe by it telling you about my magic. But all I did was just cause a rift between us and I'm so sorry. Even after we started adventuring again I just couldn't bring myself to tell you the truth even though we encountered magical stuff that was both cool and dangerous.
Huey, Dewey, and Louie: WHY?!
Donald: Tears gushes out of Donald's eyes. BECAUSE I THOUGHT YOU'D SEE ME AS A FREAK!
There were stunned and silent reactions from everyone around him. Suddenly the boys feel their anger being released as they look at their father figure's heartbroken and tearful expressions.
Donald: Magic is something a lot of people in this crazy city aren't fond of. It's unnatural… like me. I was afraid I'd scare you so much being magic that I just couldn't bring myself to tell you the truth. I've already faced enough hurt in my life, especially after losing your Mom, I didn't want to add to it by making you hate me. I'm really sorry boys.
Dewey, Huey and Louie regard their uncle sympathetically and almost tearfully. They could tell he was afraid of what they would all think of him. He had already suffered enough from losing a sister, he didn't want to lose his nephews who brought joy into his life and filled a deep void in his heart.
Dewey: Dewey walks up to him with a smile. We never would've thought of you like that.
Donald: Really?
Huey: Huey is the next to walk up. Of course. Sure magic is a little creepy and has always gotten us killed more times than I can count but that doesn't define who you are.
Louie: Louie is the last to walk up. Yeah. It's our actions that define who we are. You gave up almost everything just to raise and take care of us.
Scrooge: And you went travelling around all sorts of different worlds with your two friends, fighting all sorts of dark forces.
Webby: Yeah! And you did it all to protect us.
Daisy: Not to mention that you risked your life for us today Donald!
Mickey: He's right. Today, you were our hero Donald. You saved us all from Magica!
Goofy: We wouldn't even be here if it weren't for you Donald.
Louie: Yeah! We would never see as a freak. Sure most of the times you were boring and accident prone but other times you were cool! This just makes you the coolest uncle ever!
Donald: I'm really sorry I kept this secret from you, boys. He wells up with tears again. And I'm especially sorry that I lied to you about Della. She was your mother; you had a right to know what happened to her. I thought by not telling you what happened to her I was sparing you three from the truth but…I was only sparing myself…because I didn't want to relive the day I lost my sister who's been my best friend ever since we were kids! I didn't want to remember it! Donald feels the tears once again leave his eyes and he begins to cry. Even though she wasn't there when you hatched, she was still your mom, the one who laid you when you were in those eggs. I should've realized that keeping all this from you was wrong and unacceptable on so many levels… And I'm really, terribly sorry!
Huey, Dewey, and Louie start to cry too as tears stream down their face from hearing their uncle's sincere apology (Louie can't help but sniff) while also feeling guilt over what they said about no longer trusting him on the houseboat, for yelling at him and for distancing themselves.
Dewey: We're sorry too Uncle Donald!
Huey: We shouldn't have said those horrible things to you after what happened on the Sunchaser!
Louie: We should've realized that when we lost Mom, you lost her too!
Dewey: Before you met Aunt Daisy and Mickey and Minnie and Goofy, Mom was your best friend! Your other half!
Huey: She was always important to you. And when she got lost in space it traumatized you so much. We should've understood how precious she was to you and that you were badly hurt too!
Louie: But instead we only thought about how we felt. We were just being selfish! We're so sorry!
Huey: It was wrong of us to hurt you like that!
Dewey: And we shouldn't have distanced ourselves from you like that and for continuously insulting you the way we did! We were just so mad and upset…we…we didn't know what to think anymore!
Huey: After Mom left, you raised us all by yourself! You did everything for us and sacrificed everything just to protect us! And we didn't show any gratitude for that all!
Dewey: You always looked out for us and took care of us. And you proved that so much today when you fought Magica! Despite everything we said and did to you were willing to give up your life for us! You saved us all!
Donald: Of course I would! I may be your uncle…but…you three…you're my boys…my sons…you always will be…
Huey, Dewey and Louie looked touched by his word as they continued hearing their father talk tearfully.
Louie: You're not just our uncle, you're our father. Birth or not.
Donald feels his heart melt from those words as more tears stream down his face. The three of them one again look down in guilt and depression.
Huey: We're really sorry Uncle Donald. Do you think you can ever forgive us?
Donald: Of course I do. I was never even mad at you boys. I was mad at myself for letting you down.
Louie: The boys look up warmly smiling. But you didn't let us down. Today…you were our hero.
Scrooge, Webby, Beakely, Launchpad, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy and the rest watch with smiles on their faces as Donald and his nephews are fondly smiling at each other. Donald turns to each of them one by one.
Donald: Huey…Dewey…Louie…I know you're not used to your uncle being a mage. And I'm not used to you boys knowing…but I'll figure it out and learn how to adapt to it…in time.
He spreads and opens his arms for a hug.
Dewey: We all will. (1)
Donald bends down and Huey, Dewey and Louie run into him and they embrace in a father-sons hug as they cry onto each other joyfully. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, Scrooge, Webby, Launchpad, Beakely, Duckworth, Gyro, Fenton, Manny, Li'l Bulb, and Lena's shadow all smile warmly at the scene. Daisy, Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Webby, and Fenton have tears in their eyes.
Launchpad: Like me and Mr.D said, family truly is the greatest adventure, treasure and magic of all.
Beakely: For once Launchpad, I actually agree with you.
Minnie: Oh…want a wonderful sight.
Mickey: I couldn't agree with you more.
Daisy: What a relief!
Scrooge, Daisy and Webby walks up to them after they separate and Donald stands. Scrooge puts a hand on Donald's shoulder while Daisy raps her arm around him for a side hug.
Dewey: Dewey gets into an excited pose. But you still owe us like a lot of stories!
Donald: Donald smiles gratefully at his nephews. I'll tell you all about it tomorrow.
Huey: What about that blue amulet we saw you use?
Dewey: Yeah, I saw a sword practically come out of it.
Scrooge: I have to admit, I'm a little curious myself. In all the adventures we've been on I don't remember you ever finding that amulet.
Webby: It looked like some sort of ancient Greek pendant. Donald brings out his pendant and presents it to everyone.
Donald: You mean this. Webby practically goes fangirl mode over it.
Webby: Ooh, it's so pretty and shiny!
Donald: This is just some I acquired during my college years on my own personal adventure in Quackmore. But that's a story for another time; it has nothing to do with me being a mage. They smile in understanding.
Louie: But you promise to tell us about it one day, right? Donald smiles back as he puts the amulet back in.
Donald: I promise, Louie. No more secrets.
Beakely: I just have one question. Who is this Sora you keep speaking highly of?
Fenton: Now that you mention it, I'd like to know more about him and his friends myself.
Gyro: As do I.
Launchpad: I'd like to know more about him too.
Duckworth: As would I.
Webby becomes giddy with excitement to know more about Sora, Riku and Kairi. Huey, Dewey and Louie become interested to know about the 15 year old human they've shortly met from time to time. Donald, Scrooge, Mickey, Goofy, Minnie and Daisy smile fondly, remembering the three of them (Scrooge, Minnie and Daisy mainly remember Sora and his acts of heroism and kindness)
Donald: Sora is not your average teenager. He's a 15-year old boy who always put others before himself, always willing to protect the ones he loves despite his young age.
Scrooge: I've met the lad a couple of times and I know him to kind, heroic, strong, high-spirited and the bravest boy I've ever met.
Donald: And he has a pure heart and when he sees someone trouble he recklessly jumps straight into danger to help that person. Donald looks to Dewey with a smile. You could say he's a human version of you Dewey.
Dewey: Whoa! Really!? Now I'm wishing I got to have an actual conversation with Sora in all those times we met! He sounds like someone I'd get along great with!
Webby: He's like me too! This just makes me want to meet him more!
Goofy: Sora has two friends he hangs out with: Riku and Kairi.
Mickey: Riku is Sora's older friend by one year. He's like a big brother to him. They have their share of friendly rivalries but are the best of friends. He always looks out for Sora like how he does for him and all of us.
Huey: That's nice of him. Kinda like how I look out for my brothers.
Goofy: And Kairi is a girl around Sora's age. She's usually the voice of reason as well. She's very brave too with kindness and determination flowing through her heart. unlike any others we've met.
Louie: She sounds like the kind of girl Webby would be friends with.
Webby: Webby pumps her fists in excitement. You bet I would!
Donald: A teasing expression forms on Donald's face. Judging from how much Sora cares about her and almost gets himself killed trying to save Kairi, I'd say he has a big crush on her.
Goofy, Mickey, Daisy and Minnie chuckle while Scrooge rolls his eyes.
Huey, Dewey & Louie: Oooooh!
Webby: AWWW! That's cute!
Daisy: All three of them come from a world known as Destiny Islands.
Donald: When Goofy and I first met Sora he was 14-years old. The three of us formed a bond and together across many worlds to defeat creatures of darkness called the Heartless and Nobodies while trying to find Riku, Kairi, and Mickey.
Mickey: And I helped Riku face the darkness in his heart while also trying to figure out the secrets of a group called Organization XIII, our enemies.
Goofy: And when the six of us were reunited, we all faced off against Xemnas, the Organizations leader.
Minnie: And thanks to the heroic bravery of Sora and Riku, Xemnas was defeated and all the worlds were saved.
Dewey, Huey, Louie, Webby and everyone are in complete shock and awe to hear the kind of danger all the worlds were in without them knowing and they were saved by remarkable teenagers. Scrooge is more impressed than shocked.
Huey: That is amazing!
Louie: I had no idea SORA was this COOL! I mean I knew he was nice but I didn't think he was some GREAT HERO!
Dewey: WOW! These guys sound awesome! NOW I'M WISHING I GOT TO KNOW SORA EVEN MORE NOW!
Webby: ME TOO! ME TOO! AND I WANT TO MEET KAIRI!
Launchpad: WOW! This Sora and Riku remind of Darkwing Duck! They fight for what's right and keep getting back up!
Gyro: To think the fate of all worlds were in the hands of incredible teenagers!
Duckworth: Yes! It's quite a shock!
Fenton: They sound like remarkable individuals!
Beakely: Indeed! Especially Sora for a 15-year-old!
Goofy: Well like Donald said, Sora isn't your average teenager.
Mickey: You said it Goof. Sora has the most unique heart out of us all.
Scrooge: Aye. From what I've been told and what I've seen Sora he's a very special boy.
Minnie: And from the moment I heard about and met him I could tell he was an incredibly brave and heroic young man!
Daisy: Yeah! You said it girlfriend! It thanks to Sora, Donald and Goofy that our castle and this world was saved from darkness!
Donald: If you all thought I was powerful today, then wait 'till you hear this. Sora is even stronger and more powerful than I am.
Everyone else is shocked, especially those who saw Donald destroy and humiliate Magica with his sheer magic and power.
Dewey: WHAT?!
Huey: I thought only Yen Sid and Merlin were more powerful than you!
Louie: How is Sora more powerful than you?!
Webby: Is he a mage too?!
Donald: Donald chuckles. No. But the power of the Keyblade manages to be more powerful than us mages.
Goofy: Sometimes even gods like Hades. Or...at least the one from Olympus.
Mickey: I had years of practice to become a Keyblade Master. But Sora managed to figure it out in just 2 years during his adventures. Riku did too.
Donald: And Sora was able to unlock a high amount of power from his heart that took down very dangerous and powerful enemies.
Launchpad: WOW!
Gyro: That is unbelievable.
Manny: (Unthinkable!)
Webby: Like who?
Donald: A powerful Heartless named Ansem for one.
Goofy: Xemnas for two.
Mickey: An evil fairy named Maleficent.
Minnie: And many more on their journeys so we're told.
Beakely: He sounds like a good child. One I'm compelled to meet, the same goes for his friends.
Fenton: I would like to meet them too.
Scrooge: I already met Sora and he was a pleasant boy to get to know. I'd love to get to know Riku and Kairi.
Launchpad: Yeah!
Dewey, Huey, Louie & Webby: WE WANT TO MEET THEM ALL!
Donald: One day we'll all introduce you to them!
Daisy: Trust us! The moment you speak with Sora you'll love him!
Minnie: And I'm sure the same goes for his friends!
Goofy: There's no person his pure heart can't reach!
Mickey clears his throat to grab everyone's attention and they all look to him.
Mickey: We're happy to see you all have made and I'm glad to be reminiscing about out Sora, Riku and Kairi, but there's something we've been meaning to ask.
Donald: What is it your majesty?
The look on Mickey's face tells Minnie, Goofy and Daisy what he wants to ask and they join in.
Minnie: Over the course of the battle you mentioned that you had 5 kids Donald.
Goofy: Goofy holds up four fingers in confusion. Yeah, but we can only count 4 here right now.
Daisy: And all of you kept mentioning someone called Lena. Who is that? Is she the 5th kid?
Donald, Scrooge, Dewey, Huey, Louie and Webby widen their eyes in horror before lowering their heads in grief and sadness from Lena's horrible fate. Beakely, Launchpad, Duckworth, Gyro, Fenton, Manny and Lil'Bulb step up.
Fenton & Gyro: Lena? Who's that?
Beakely: Lena? Lena was here? Where is she?
Launchpad: Is she okay?
Duckworth: How is she?
The grim and mourning expressions on the faces of the 6 ducks makes everyone feel uneasy, especially the people who know Lena.
Beakely: Donald? Scrooge? Kids? What happened to her?
The kids' lips begin to tremble, especially Louie and Webby who are on the verge of crying. They're comforted when Donald and Scrooge place hands on all their shoulders.
Donald: Go on kids. Tell them, they have a right to know.
The kids sadly smile in agreement before looking back to Mickey and the rest. Louie is the first to speak and she does with a smile.
Louie: Lena is a 15 year old girl duck. She was a very close friend of ours.
Webby: I was the first to meet Lena amphitheatre. She was all alone and sending fake message across the sea near the beach. With a sweet smile she puts a hand to her chest. When we met we became friends at first sight. And after our first adventure together we became best friends…we became sisters…formed a history and our own language.
She smiles fondly remembering their first meeting together and adventure that formed their bond as sisters and Lena appears by her side smiling sweetly and almost tearfully. Daisy and Minnie smile sweetly.
Daisy: Aww! That's so sweet!
Minnie: The girls look to each other. It reminds me of us two when we were little Daisy.
Daisy: You can say that again girlfriend!
Louie: Louie is the next to walk up smiling warmly. I formed my own bond with Lena too. During our second and third adventure together I got to know her and realize the two of us have so much in common. She's lazy and devious but in a good way… He places a hand over his heart. …and overall, she has good heart and cares for others, especially us. She trusted me enough to tell a few secrets about herself and…I wanted to help her feel better. The two of us soon became the closes of friends.
Daisy and Minnie can tell from the fond expression on Louie's face that his relationship with Lena goes far beyond friendship…it was something far more romantic and that made Daisy and Minnie coo as they clasp their hands together.
Daisy & Minnie: AWWW!
Mickey: That's really nice of you Louie.
Dewey: Even though Huey and I weren't as close to her…
Huey: She was still a really good friend to us…
Donald: Whenever I spoke to Lena I could tell immediately she was a good kid and someone who always did her best to look out for the people closest to her. I guess took a liking to her.
Minnie: She sounds like a wonderful person.
Daisy: Sounds like someone we'd love to get to know.
Beakely: She is. At first I felt Lena couldn't be trusted with her tendency to put others in danger and her attitude but…she and Louie once saved my life…and for that she earned my trust. She earned all of our trust.
Scrooge: Aye. She had problems with family but after meeting ours it felt she was family.
Louie: No…she is family. She became part of it the moment we became friends.
Webby: I invited Lena for sleepovers at the mansion and even though they all ended with supernatural disasters they were best! We became closer and she became the best sister I could ever ask for!
Dewey: Not just to her. But she became a sister to us all…
Huey: Along with Webby…we all became siblings…
Louie: And that's a bond I'm not forgetting…
Goofy: Goofy looks to his 4 best friends. Golly, that's sweet. It sorta reminds of what the 5 of us have together.
Mickey: I couldn't agree with you more.
Donald: You said it Goof!
But soon their expressions of happiness lower into that of sadness and depression.
Dewey: But what we didn't know was that Lena…
Huey: Was actually Magica's own shadow brought to life…
Louie: She's Magica's niece…
Silence. That's how it was until Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Daisy, Beakely, Launchpad, Fenton, Gyro, Duckworth, Manny and Lil'Bulb exclaim in pure shock and horror.
Mickey, Goofy, Minnie & Daisy: WHAT!?
Manny: (GASP!)
Fenton: LENA IS A SHADOW!?
Launchpad: WHOA! I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING ONE BIT!
Duckworth: I COULD ALWAYS SENSE A MAGICAL AURA AROUND LENA BUT I HAD NO IDEA SHE WAS A SHADOW?!
Beakely: LENA COMES FROM MAGICA?!
Gyro: BUT THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! SHADOWS CAN'T BE BROUGHT TO LIFE AND BECOME REAL LOOKING TEENAE GIRLS!
Donald: They can when it comes to Magica.
Scrooge: What we didn't know was the before she was sealed away Magica used the last of her powers to leave behind a legacy. She separated her body from her shadow which she imbued with her powers and gave it corporeal life. That shadow turned into a teenage duck…into…
Daisy: Lena…
Goofy: So uh…let me get this straight. Lena is Magica De Spell's shadow brought to life with her own form and wielding that witch's power.
Huey: Pretty much…yeah…
Webby: And what hurts even more is that Lena was created by Magica to spy on us, gain our trust and steal Uncle Scrooge's Number One Dime so she can be free on the day of the Lunar Eclipse.
Beakely: S-so that means…Lena was our enemy this whole time!?
The 6 Ducks get angry when they hear this accusation and statement.
Louie: NO! Beakely was taken aback. It's true that's what Lena was created for but she was never our enemy!
Webby: At first she was pretending but then after we all got to know her and she got to know us she realized that she cared about us! She saved us all from the Money Shark!
Huey: And she wanted nothing to do with Magica!
Dewey: She had so many chances to take the dime but she never took them! She wanted to live her own life free from that monster but she had no choice but to follow her creator's orders!
Scrooge: The only reason Lena tried to take my dime was because Magica held her own niece prisoner! Lena was bound to her creator so she couldn't escape! The lass was desperate to be free and live her own life!
What they heard made them more disgust with Magica more than they already were.
Daisy: Tha-that's awful!
Minnie: And so sad…
Goofy: She held her own niece prisoner!?
Mickey: And made her do things she didn't want to do against her will!
Donald: But in the end…Lena decided that she cared more about than her own freedom. She wanted to warn us about Magica.
Gyro: Good for her!
Launchpad: But if she wanted to warn us…why didn't we know about Magica sooner.
This makes the expressions of Donald, Scrooge, Dewey, Huey, Louie and Webby turn grim.
Louie: It was because of the despicable thing Magica did next.
Fenton: What did Magica do?
Donald: This letter will give the answers to that. Donald grimly takes out Lena's final letter and hands it over to Mickey. It was addressed to kids and back was addressed to me.
Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Daisy, Launchpad, Beakely, Duckworth, Gyro, Fenton, Manny and Lil'Bulb all gather around to read the letter.
Dear, Huey, Dewey, Louie & Webby,
If you're reading this then that means you've found my secret bedroom…It also means you've found out my big secret. I know what you're thinking and I know you must hate me but listen. I confess, I am the shadow of my Aunt Magica De Spell given a corporeal body. I was created to trick you guys and take Scrooge's Number One Dime to free her. But I want you all to know…my whole life may have been a lie…but our friendship…that was never a lie. At first it was just an act but then…after I started to get to know all of you, especially Louie and Webby, I realized how much I really like you guys. I want you all to know that I'm so sorry for betraying and lie to you. And I'm sorry I took advantage of you like this Webby. The truth is…I was the one who unleashed the Money Shark in Scrooge's Money Bin. But after seeing how out of control it was, how you and Louie were willing to sacrifice yourselves to save me and what family is truly all about…I made my choice. I wanted to be with you guys…but Magica wouldn't let me be free. I'm bound to her as a shadow and the only way to sever that connection was to take the dime. Until then I was nothing but her slave. I just wanted her out of my hair forever. But after seeing you all die in my nightmare in the Other Bin…I just couldn't do it. I couldn't sacrifice you guys…my friends just to save myself. I wanted to tell you all the truth from that point on, but…I was too late. Magica had gained enough power to take control off my body. I couldn't do anything about it. At some point I was able to fight back long enough to be able to write this letter to all of you. Dewey, Huey… Louie… Webby… I want you all to know that I meant every word I said in the other bin. You guys are like my siblings and I really love all of you. For my whole life I thought family was good for nothing but now…I wish I was a real part of your family. But I guess that won't be possible… I'm not a real person… I'm just a thing and by the time you read this letter I'll probably be absorbed back into my aunt, becoming an incorporeal shadow again. When that time comes I want you to know…I'm really gonna miss you guys, especially you Louie and Webby. And also…I'm sorry…for everything.
Love,
Lena
Dear Donald,
If you're reading this then you've also found out my biggest secret…as the shadow of my Aunt Magica De Spell. I wrote this letter to tell you how sorry I truly am for taking advantage of Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby. At first it was an act but I'd grown to actually like…no love your kids as though they were my siblings, especially Webby and Louie. And…I actually grew to really like you Donald. I could sense that your heart was full of pain, kind of like mine but despite that you keep fighting for your family. To be honest, I wish I were a part of your family so that you could be my uncle. I'm sure you'd be heck of a lot better than the abusive aunt I have right now possessing me. But…I guess that can never be…I really am sorry Donald. Ever since I was born I wanted to be my own person…but I was never allowed and instead I let myself be reduced to some slave. I wanted my freedom but I was never even allowed to have that unless I get the dime but…I just couldn't do it. I don't know why but I feel like you somehow have the power to defeat Magica with that staff of yours. Which is why I have a request: I'm begging you with all my heart…please stop my aunt from hurting more people; if anyone gets hurt then it'll all be my fault because I helped her get the dime. Donald…please destroy, Magica…she made me what I am…she made me feel like I was a monster…don't let her do it to anyone else. Do whatever it takes…to stop her. Please. And tell Louie and Webby that no matter what…I'll always be a part of them. Thank you for everything.
Love,
Lena
After reading this letter the hearts of those who never met Lena and never witnessed what happened to her released tears from their eyes, even Beakely, Duckworth and Gyro were crying while Lil'Bulb lowered his filament in sadness and Manny cried in Morse Code.
Daisy: Oh…Poor Lena…
Minnie: This…this is inhuman.
Beakely: I-I never knew Lena had been through so much. I mean…I felt she had a bad upbringing but…I never thought it was an abusive one.
Webby: Believe it or not Granny, it really was that bad. Webby begins to cry and tears leave her face Dewey puts a hand on her shoulder. Lena has been abused her entire life. Forced to be a prisoner unable to escape…it was awful.
Louie: And it was worsened when Magica took possession of her. She tried to help us but Magica to control of her body.
Mickey: THAT EVIL, ROTTEN PIECE OF SCUM!
Minnie: HOW COULD ANYONE BE SUCH A MONSTER!?
Goofy: THAT'S JUST BEYOND EVIL!?
Daisy: SHE TOOK POSSESSION OF HER NIECE!?
Launchpad: Okay, that is wrong on so many different levels!
Beakely: I always knew Magica was despicable…but this is pure evil!
Gyro: Lena isn't a monster! She's like my machines! She's just wildly misunderstood!
Fenton: How dare that witch Magica do such an awful thing!
Duckworth: Even I'm beyond disgusted!
Scrooge: With Lena in her possession Magica was able to use her body to get into my manor and with me in my vulnerable state she was able to take my dime and free herself. He clutches his cane in anger thinking about what Magica did next. And when all was said and done, Magica absorbed Lena back into her shadow, simply because she had no more use for her. He lowers his head in sadness and guilt. I tried my best to save her but there was I could do. The poor lass was imprisoned again and then…so was I…
Louie: But then Lena was brought back…
Webby: Through my friendship bracelet! Webby presents her bracelet. I made these on the first sleepover Lena and I spent together…to symbolise our friendship.
Daisy: That's adorable!
Webby: Aww! Thanks! She gets serious again. At any rate, Magica was about to kill me and Dewey but then at the last second this bracelet created a barrier and the residual magic inside it reached out to Magica's shadow.
Dewey: And as a result Lena came back in the form of pure energy!
Donald: I watched the whole thing from the security room. Lena risked her life fighting her abusive creator. She defended the kids.
Huey: And when Magica prepared to kill us all…Lena made the ultimate sacrifice…
Minnie: Everyone's expression grimaces in horror and concern. Oh no…
Mickey: What happened…? Goofy gulps anxiously.
Dewey: Lena shielded us from Magica's blast and in the process…got heavily injured.
Webby: And then when she was defenceless…Magica came up and she…she…she…
Unable to say the words and memories of Lena's death flood into her mind which makes her cry. Everyone looks to Donald and Scrooge for answers but they just look away in grief. They could only imagine what happened but are unable to say it. Beakely comes and bends down almost tearfully to put her hands on Webby's shoulder.
Beakely: Webby…what happened…?
Webby: Webby looks up still crying and speaking in a tearful tone. She's gone Granny! Lena's gone!
Beakely: Gone!? Wait, you mean-
Louie: Louie who becomes tired with the suspense comes close to ripping his hair off and shouts as loudly as he can with tears gushing out. OH FOR F(bleep)S SAKE SHE'S DEAAAAAAAADD!
Everyone reels back gasping in shock at Louie's strong use of language.
Louie: MAGICA KILLED HER, ALRIGHT! LENA WAS VAPORIZED RIGHT BEFORE OUR EYES! WE WATCHED HER DIE RIGHT IN FRONT OF US! SHE-SHE-SHE-!
Louie feels himself going through emotional spasms which makes him let reality crush his mind as he drops down and has another emotional breakdown, crying hysterically and Donald walks over to bring him into his arms for a comforting hug while crying with him.
Beakely looks to Webby in shock as the female duckling's beaks tremble with tears flowing down her.
Webby: She's gone Granny…!
The former agent saddens and brings her granddaughter in for a comforting hug. Webby cries and sobs inside her grandmothers arm which makes Beakely cry with her as well.
Huey and Dewey look down in misery getting ready to cry too. Scrooge wraps his arms around both of them before they run into him for a hug to which reciprocates. Gyro, Fenton, Duckworth, Manny and Lil'Bulb look down in sadness while Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Goofy and Launchpad could only cry at watching the scene before them. Even though most of them never met Lena it upset them to see the family this saddened over the death of their close friend, especially Webby and Louie.
Lena who had been listening in on the conversation lowers head in guilt as she cries tears of shame and regret. Soon the expressions of the people who didn't know Lena turn into that of anger.
Minnie: UNFORGIVABLE!
Goofy: MAGICA THAT MONSTER!
Daisy: SHE KILLED HER OWN NIECE!
Mickey: THAT'S BEYOND CRUEL! EVEN FOR MAGICA!
Launchpad: THAT IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF PURE EVIL!
They sadden again when they see no reaction from Donald and the other 6 who are still in mourning.
Mickey: Mickey steps up to them. I'm so sorry you guys. Most of us here may not have met Lena…but she sounds like someone we would've wanted to meet. She didn't deserve to die like that; she deserved to live life free of abusive creator. But… He gives them all a smile. She isn't truly gone.
This makes everyone, especially Donald, Scrooge, Beakely, Dewey, Huey, Louie and Webby stop crying and all the attention turns to Mickey.
Mickey: You all have the memories of the time you spent with Lena and the bond you all made with her. Remembering her makes it feel like she's still with you… He places a hand over his heart. In here.
Donald: In our hearts…?
Minnie and Goofy walk up smiling as well.
Minnie: Magica may have been able to take Lena's life, but she can never take away who she was to all of you.
Goofy: And to you… Lena is a true best friend. And a true hero!
Daisy: Daisy comes up and puts a hand on Donald's shoulder. Lena will never be truly gone; she'll always be with you, especially, you Louie and Webby.
Mickey: Remember the gift of life Lena gave the both of you when she saved your lives and treasure.
Louie: Treasure the gift of life…
Webby: That Lena gave us…?
While some still look sad, especially the Louie and Webby, they all manage to give sad smiles. Lena's shadow gives a thankful smile to the four who don't even know her yet they say such nice things about her.
Lena: Thank you… so much… With that she disappears into the shadows.
Scrooge brightens up when an idea comes to mind and he warmly smiles at everyone in front of him.
Scrooge: I think I know something that might cheer you all up. He points his cane and they look to see him pointing to the crater before smiling back at them. Anyone up for a…midnight swim?
This brings a smile to their faces. Everyone happily obliges and give off celebratory cheers. Donald, Goofy Scrooge, Dewey, Huey, Louie, Webby and Launchpad all dive into the gold in celebration.
Donald: Cannonball!
Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Beakely, Manny, Lil'Bulb, Fenton and Gyro sit and watch them have a good time. Donald, Scrooge and Louie have dived into the money, Launchpad and Goofy a comically stuck, Dewey and Webby are swimming around like crazy and Huey makes a money angel. Donald, Scrooge and Louie emerge spitting out money. The mage splashes his uncle and youngest nephew, causing them to laugh and retaliate before diving and jumping about like dolphins. Launchpad spits out some coins he almost swallowed and when Goofy gets up he dives down and swims around the gold.
Launchpad: Don't drink this water!
As everyone has fun Donald continues diving and jumping until he stops in front of Mickey, Minnie and Daisy.
Donald: Come on in Daisy! The gold is great!
Daisy: Daisy nervously puts her hands up. Uh…thanks for the offer Donald…but…I think I prefer to watch stuff like this. Swimming in gold isn't really my style.
Donald: Oh, come on Daisy. Don't let the royal life affect your ability to have fun.
Daisy: No, really Donald, I-
She's cut off when Donald spits a multitude of gold in her face. She's barely able to get off a scream and when it stops she angrily glares at his mischievous boyfriend who chuckles hysterically. Mickey and Minnie can't help but laugh themselves.
Daisy: Donald Duck! I'm so gonna get you for that!
Donald: You'll have to catch me first! He dives back down and swims away.
Daisy: Daisy cockily smiles. Oh, I will!
She dives into the gold and swims after her boyfriend. Mickey and Minnie laugh as they watch everyone have fun. Dewey and Webby are splashing each other with gold, Huey, Launchpad and Goofy are making money angels together, Scrooge and Louie are racing around the gold and Daisy catches up with Donald.
She jumps out of the gold and onto him, laughing and shoving him down. Donald splashes her face with coins before playfully tackling her.
Seeing everyone have fun like this prompts Mickey to get up with a mischievous smile much to Minnie's confusion.
Minnie: Mickey?
Mickey: You know what they say, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!"
With that said Mickey leaps up and dives into crater of gold much to the surprise of Minnie. When Mickey emerges he spits out some gold and smiles at his wife.
Mickey: Want to join in Minnie?
Minnie is at first dumbfound, she's not usually one for silly fun but after seeing everyone have such a good time and her husband put aside his royal personality she giggles before jumping in with him, deciding to bathe in the gold with Mickey, Goofy and the entire Duck Family.
Donald and Daisy were having so much fun laughing and trying to pin each other down they actually go through the crater and end up swimming towards the edge of the bin. They re-emerge and burst out laughing joyfully before looking to each other.
Daisy: That…that was…fun! I can't believe I actually enjoyed that!
Donald: You used to enjoy it all the time. You just forgot when you became royalty!
Daisy: Well, now I remember, thanks to you Donald! I feel like a young duck again!
Donald: Strange. With your beautiful 20's looks I always assumed you were a young duck.
Daisy: Daisy is flattered. Aww! That's sweet.
Donald climbs out of the gold and takes Daisy's hand, pulling her out but in the process Daisy accidentally trips up and Donald catches her much to both their surprises. Now she finds herself leaning on his boyfriend with their arms wrapped around each other. They both lock eyes and blush heavily from realizing the position they're in. Donald thinks back to everything that's happened between them, the family and the fact that they've almost just died, giving him the courage to say what he's been wanting to say since forever. Everyone else is too busy enjoying their money pool party so now is as good a time as any to say it.
Donald: Daisy. Can I tell you something?
Daisy: Of course. What is it Donald?
Donald: Daisy…during all those times I thought either one of us was going to die I was always afraid I'd never see you again. The thought of that alone is just terrifying. And today we were this close to dying and I was scared I'd never be able to tell you something I've wanted to get off my chest ever since you and I started dating all those years ago. So I'm just gonna come out and say it.
Donald takes in a huge gulp and Daisy tenses up before the Mage of Thunder gives a loving stare.
Donald: Daisy Duck…I love you.
Daisy: Daisy gasps and looks at her boyfriend with an almost tearful expression. Oh Donald!
She tackles Donald for a huge hug and they both wrap their arms around each other. Daisy lets tears of joy go down her face.
Daisy: I love you too!
Donald: Ya mean it!?
Daisy: Of course! I always have ever since the day we first met as kids! Her smile turns in a guilty frown when she pulls back. And…there's something I've been meaning to get off my chest too. With all the apologizing that's been going on I thought now is the perfect time to say it.
Donald: What is it Daisy?
Donald grows increasingly concerned when Daisy looks like she's about to cry.
Daisy: I…I…I…I…I'm so sorry Donald.
Donald: Huh? For what?
Daisy: Tears begin to leave her eyes slowly. I'm so sorry for how horrible and awful I was during our college years in the Quackmore Institute! Donald was taken aback from those days being mentioned. I was so mean towards you! Back then I was being nothing but a selfish spoilt brat! And I'm so sorry for every single one of those times I broke your heart! For breaking up with you on your birthday after you had such a rotten day and again by leaving you a horrible note in that restaurant. I never should've thought for one moment that you would brainwash my nieces! The next part makes Daisy cry even more and she begins to speak in a tearful tone. And it was absolutely so awful and despicable of me to get back at you by smugly showing off another guy in front of you just to make you jealous! And the worst part of it all is that I never let you explain yourself at all! I kept thinking that you were selfish and only cared about no one but yourself but really…that was never you at all. That was me! I was the one caring about myself and I was the most selfish person ever! When José, Panchito, Xandra, Ari, April, May, and June told me everything, I felt so horrified, guilty and ashamed of what I did I just wanted to crawl into a hole and die! I can't kept mentally kicking myself for a week for being such…such a…such a…brat to you. The biggest spoilt brat in history!
Donald: Daisy…
Daisy: I always thought you could never be there for me. But I was wrong. You were always there, not just for me, but for all of us. During all those missions you fought for all of us. I know now that you were trying to protect me and that you were trying to save the world with Panchito, Jose and Xandra. Tears of regret continue leaking out of Daisy's guilt-ridden face as she continues speaking in tearful tone. I should've understood that sooner but the truth is…I was so scared you didn't like me anymore or were considering breaking up with me. I couldn't handle the idea of being rejected so rather than get shot down I felt I should make the first move. But now I realize that was so wrong of me, I never once thought about the impact all those awful and horrible things I said would have on you! You must've felt so heartbroken and I showed no care for that at all!
Donald: Donald smiles reassuringly at his guilty girlfriend. Aww…Daisy. I would never break up with you. I love you way too much to ever do that.
Daisy: Tears still flow down her face and her tone is still tearful. I know. I realize that now. But I was too much of an impatient, selfish spoilt brat to even bother understanding that. And I had no right to try and force you to change who you are! As we grew up I tried to control my temper and I expected you to do the same! Ever since we became teenagers I've been forcing you to try and change who you are and meet high expectations that were too hard for you to meet when I should've just accepted and loved you for who you are. But instead of doing that I kept rudely threatening break up with you. You deserve better Donald and I never should've tried to force you to change. I never realized how selfish I really was! I'm truly sorry, Donald! I've been the WORST girlfriend in the world! Can you ever forgive me!?
Daisy begins crying and sobbing hysterically on Donald's half-sleeved torn sweater. Donald could only look at his girlfriend in shock and sadness but soon he replaces that with a warm smile before touching her face gently and bringing it up so she can look at him in the eye.
Donald: Daisy, you don't need to be sorry about that anymore. I forgave you a long time ago.
Daisy: Daisy reels back in shock and is now practically shouting as the tears pour and gush out of her eyes. HOW!? HOW CAN YOU FORGIVE ME SO EASILY!? I'VE BEEN THE WORST GIRLFRIEND EVER! I BROKE UP WITH YOU ON THE WORST BIRTHDAY OF YOUR LIFE, I TRIED TO HURT YOU BY DATING SOMEONE ELSE, I ACCUSED YOU OF USING MY NIECES FOR SOME SCHEME, I NEVER LET YOU EXPLAIN ANYTHING AT ALL AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF I'VE BEEN MAKING THREATS TO FORCE YOU CHANGE AND BECOME SOMEONE YOU PROBABLY NEVER EVEN WANTED TO BE! WHY WOULD YOU EVER FORGIVE ME!?
Donald just gives his girlfriend a warm, loving smile.
Donald: Because I love you Daisy Duck. I would never hold anything against you. What happened at the institute, I put that behind me because you didn't know about my missions. You've always given me chances in the past so why shouldn't I do the same. Not to mention how you risked your life to defend me from Magica. I'll never be mad at you Daisy. I'll always love you, no matter what you've said to me, because you're the sweetest, kindest and bravest person I've ever met.
Daisy smiles as tears stream down her face once again but this time these are tears of joy.
Daisy: Oh Donald…that's so sweet to know you think of me like that that. Thank you so much…for giving me a second chance…you truly are the best boyfriend I could ever ask for.
Donald: Thank you, Daisy. Besides… He looks down frowning a little. During our college years I always felt I was letting you down. I admit there were times when I was selfish and temperamental. I tried Daisy, I really did, I tried becoming Donald 2.0…I wanted to show you I can be better…not just the loud duck with an anger management issue. But…not matter how hard I try I just can't do it…I just can't change or get rid of my temper…it's who I am…I'm sorry…
Daisy: Daisy gently caresses Donald's face. Oh, Donald. Its okay, you don't need to apologize for that. And I'm sorry I ever made you feel like that. You don't have to change for my sake at all. I don't want you to become Donald 2.0 anymore because… She gives a sweet and slightly flirtatious smile. …I actually like Donald 1.0.
Donald: This came as a big shock to Donald. Really!? You do!?
Daisy: Of course I do. You were always fine the way you were. I just had silly high expectations of you that I should never have forced you to try and meet. You were never that selfish, you were there to save the entire world from Felldrake when Xandra, Panchito and Jose needed you. And I don't mind your temper anymore. Today…after watching you fight Magica I remembered how much I liked it, One: because it's kind of similar to mine. She giggles a little bit when she remembers her outburst on Magica. I remember now that it's partly because of that I fell in love with you.
Donald: And it's partly because of that, that I fell in love with you too.
Daisy: And second…I understand now that your anger is out of protection for the people you love and care about. That all became clear to me when you humiliated Magica after she threatened the kids and when you were angry enough to transform and unleash your REAL true power after watching me get hurt. You used it to try and protect us. So…I don't want you to get rid of it anymore…I realize now that your temper makes up who you are and for that…I'll always love you.
Donald: A touched Donald feels tears of joy stream down his face as he and Daisy gently hold each other by their shoulders. Aww…thank you Daisy. That really means a lot to me. You'll always be the one for me and I'll love you.
Daisy: Daisy gives the sweetest smile she can give. And I love you too…Donald Duck.
The Duck Couple locked eyes as they held each other before leaning forward to one another. It was at that moment Donald and Daisy beaks touch and embrace in a big kiss under the moonlight as Donald wraps his arm around Daisy and vice versa. Donald and Daisy hold their kiss for what seems like an eternity.
Unbeknownst to them, they were being watched by Scrooge, Mickey, Dewey and the rest who are all smiling warmly at the scene. Webby and Minnie sniff a little bit as they let tears of joy leave their eyes.
After 2 whole minutes of kissing Donald and Daisy separate and look to each other while blushing. The both of them have a big hug afterwards, happy to finally get all this off their chest and confess their love.
The screen directs itself towards the moon as they hug and the family celebrate and soon scenes shift to the moon itself. On a crater is none other than the wreckage of the Spear of Selene, the very ship Scrooge built and Della was on when she got lost.
A female figure is inside the control room of the rocket where after months of hardwork makes adjustments to a TV and gets a signal from Earth, revealing a news report from Roxanne Featherly in front of the money bin.
Roxanne: And so Duckburg is saved thanks to Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck and their family!
The entire family are wearing fresh new clothes after Donald, Mickey, Daisy and Minnie heal everyone, Beakely is still in her Agent outfit, Daisy is still in her battle vest and Donald is still in his Court Magician attire but this time no one's outfit has any tatters.
Scrooge stands in the centre with his arms wrapped around Donald and Daisy who wrap their arms around him. Dewey and Webby stand next to Donald at the front and Huey and Louie stand next to Daisy. Beakely and Launchpad stand at the back. All of them smile at the camera filming them.
The female gently touches the screen and she opens up her goggles and gasps in shock.
It's a female duck wearing a torn brown pilot uniform, goggles, a blue scarf, tattered brown cargo shorts, a robotic leg and with long white hair. This female duck is none other than Donald's long lost twin sister and Huey, Dewey and Louie's mother Della Duck, alive and well but with tattered clothes and unable to communicate with the Earth.
She becomes close to tears when she sees her twin brother, sister-figure, uncle, and the boys that are meant to be her sons.
Della: Donald…Daisy…Uncle Scrooge…Boys…
Seeing her family on screen for the first time in years brings a smile of hope to her face. Her boys have been growing up without her and seeing them on screen makes her more determined than ever to get back home no matter what it takes.
To be continued...
At last! Amends have been made. Donald and Scrooge have reconciled, the boys have made amends with Scrooge and Donald has made amends with his nephew and it the process has told everyone his Mage secret. But what's really touching is to see him and Daisy finally confess their love and Daisy apologising to Donald for being the biggest brat in history at the Quackmore institute.
Della is alive! Whoa! How is she going to get back!?
In the final chapter of this story a 3 days have passed, the city is under repairs, the family has moved back into McDuck Manor which is getting a serious clean-up and Donald fully makes piece with his sisters disappearance and prepares to re-enter into a life of adventure.
Della works on getting back home.
But unbeknownst to anyone a knew threat is heading towards Earth and the danger he'll give is "infinite."
