"For the umpteenth time, I will be fine, Mom," I assured Mom. My family had decided to go to the Amazon forest for a hunting trip and visit Sena, Zafrina and Kaichiri.

There were three reasons I did not want to go.

I would definitely feel like a third wheel.

I had plenty of assignments.

I strongly believed that the first reason was true to happen.

Mom sighed. "Fine. Take care of yourself, sweetheart. I have already informed Jacob about this. Leah and Seth will be patrolling around the house. Okay? You have nothing to worry about."

"Jesus! Mom, you did not have to do that," I whined while my Mom smiled sheepishly.

"Ness, you sure you don't want to try some grizzly bears and anacondas?" Emmett rubbed his palms together and smiled mischievously.

"No, Eme-"

"If you try to put some nonsense into her head, I'll burn you to death," Dad said and hit Emmett on the head. Everyone laughed as they watched Emmett and dad wrestle on the floor.

Esme cleared her throat. "Alright boys, let us get going." They stood up straight immediately and Dad gave one final smack on Emmett's ribs.

"Still scared of Mommy, big brother?" Mom teased Emmett and we laughed.

"Shut up, Bella," he rolled his eyes and Mom raised her hands defensively and shrugged.

"Alright. Take care, dear. Be safe," Carlisle kissed me and said goodbye.

I was passed on to everyone for a series of hugs and kisses and goodbyes. After my family left the house, I sat on the couch and started preparing for my test. My phone rang and I found Jake calling me. "What is it, Jacob?"

I'll be there in fifteen. Gotta help me with my assignment. Bye, he said and hung up.

"Crackpot!" I said to myself and continued reading. Like he said, he was here in fifteen and smacked my head once he came inside. "Hey!" I protested and he laughed.

"Okay. I need some help with that assignment in Marketing," he said as he took his books from his bag.

As I was instructing him, he started staring at the roof. "Earth to Jacob!"

"Oh, sorry. Just lost in thought. Shall we continue?"

"We're finished with it," I laughed and stuffed him with his books.

"Oh," he laughed and shut up when I stared at him. "Hey, can you give me some food? I am very hungry?"

"Jake, it is just one in the-" I heard his stomach growl and laughed. I headed to the kitchen and made some mushrooms for him. He sat on the counter and shook his legs impatiently for the food to reach his hands. He was wearing a sleeveless t-shirt- actually, the sleeve was just torn away, and a jean shorts. He looked big and muscular and not to mention, incredibly hot. His muscles were toned and tanned. His eyes were coal black looking at me, waiting to give his food. His spiky, soft black hair wet from the shower he must have taken this morning.

"Done staring at me?" he asked. I could practically here tease in his voice. I quickly shook my head and turned to look at the mushroom.

"I wasn't staring at you," I said looking down, praying my cheeks not to give me away.

"Oh, were you drooling then?" he teased me. Jesus. What was wrong with this guy? Please, Jake. You think you are teasing me, but, I was actually doing that shit.

"Shut up, Jake."

"Oh, we both know you were checking me out," he teased me, his voice too smug. I was starting to lose it.

"You know what, Jake? Yes, I was staring at you. 'Coz every time I see you, I feel strange. I don't look at you the same way I used to, Jacob. It's different. Happy now?" I blurted out, my temperature too high even for a half-vampire. By this time Jacob had got down from the counter and stood facing me. I could not tell if his expression was degrading me or surprised by my words. This weird tension grew between us and we stood silently looking at each other. "Do you feel different too, Jake?" my voice was too feeble and my question turned into a mumble. I cleared my throat. "How do you feel about me, Jacob?"

He was silent. It would hurt if he said no. I was always used to the fact that Jacob would always say yes. But, his silence scared me, a sense of rejection taking over me and eating me alive.

"Actually, yes. I do feel that you are over-dramatic someti-,…"he began and my eyes welled up and I turned to run away. And in the same second, Jacob caught me by my wrist and pulled me closer. His lips crushed into mine and he held me tight in his hold.

I stopped the kiss even though I couldn't help but kiss him back and whispered, "I'm sorry, Jake. Are you sure you–"

He answered me by kissing me more and I smiled into it.

This time, our kiss was perfect. It was everything I'd imagined- butterflies and floating on the clouds. I could feel his breath inside me. His lips were warm and gentle. I deepened the kiss taking hold of his neck with my free hand and he wrapped his arms around my waist, sending shivers down my spine. I could feel our hearts beating faster and faster as we kissed, one rhythm echoing in the empty mansion. I pulled back to catch my breath and smiled at him, my cheeks redder than a tomato. I was unable to open my eyes for a few moments afterwards.

He took a step back reluctantly, his hands leaving my waist and taking a tight grip on my hands. I knew what was about to happen now and let him be. "Nessie," he began with uncertainty. "There is something you should know." My heart was pounding even though I had a very clear idea what he was going to say. I had never been more nervous in my entire seven years of life on Planet Earth. I didn't have the courage to talk and simply nodded asking him to continue. He swallowed a lump in his throat. "Oh, Renesmee, I don't know how…" He looked sick. Damn, Jake, be a man! I thought to myself but a part of me was worried about him.

"Hey, Jake, whatever it is, it's okay," I assured him giving him a tight squeeze. He smiled and nodded.

"Okay, okay, I can do this," he mumbled and I was hundred percent sure he was talking to himself. I fought a smile and concentrated on him. "Nessie, you know how everybody in the pack had imprinted on somebody?" I nodded. "Yes, I have already explained imprinting to you, haven't I?" I nodded once again. "Yeah, okay. Nessie, I, um, I—" He exhaled loudly and bit his lips. "Nessie, I imprinted on you," he said quickly. "The very day you were born. That's why I didn't kill you, that's why you are allowed to attend the bonfires, that's why I literally live with you every day," we both laughed at the last part nervously. "Because, I can't stay away from you, Ness. You are the reason for my existence." I bit my lips to stifle a laughter. Jacob looked perplexed. "Are you laughing?" I shook my head. "Do you think this is all a joke? Nessie, I am being seri—"

"I know."

"Excuse me?"

"I know," I repeated.

"What do you mean you know?" he queried.

"I know that you imprinted on me, Jake," I explained.

"What?"

"You heard me," I winked.

"Who told you that? How did you know?"

"Rosalie. I spoke to her about one little stunt I pulled off-,"

He cut me off. "That blonde bitch," he growled.

I hit him on the head and he laughed. "You could have told me, Jake. Nothing could have made me happier, if I had heard it from you."

"I just thought you were-,"

"Young. Yeah, I know that. But, still. How could you not see it, Jake? I mean it was so obvious. I was constantly embarrassed of myself till earlier today," I said and laughed.

He chuckled. I gave him the mushroom and he ate it. I sat on the couch with him watching him eat it with such dutifulness and dedication. "That little stunt you were talking about- was it the hot bath?" I blushed wildly. "Tell me. I guessed right, didn't I?" he said and chuckled.

"Mutt," I punched him in the stomach and laughed with him.

"You don't know how much I wish it was true," he said and pouted.

"Please, Jacob!" I laughed. "I heard people say that you are a gentleman."

He rolled his eyes and went to the kitchen to leave the plate. We spent the rest of the afternoon cuddling up in the couch and kissing. Jacob had patrol today and told me that he'd drop me off at Seth's for the night.

"Hey, Nessie. How are you?" Seth asked as he opened the door.

"I am fine," I said and walked inside Ina's room.

"Nessie? What are you doing here?"

"Family is on a hunting trip and Jake did not want to leave me alone. So, here I am!" I chimed in and she laughed.

"Come on. Sit down!"

Jacob and I sat on her bed. "Seth, do you have patrol today?" she asked from the room.

"Yes, baby. Why?" he asked back.

"No, I just wanted to know. It's a good thing Nessie is here, right?" she said and winked.

"Am I still invisible to you guys?" Jacob asked Ina and Seth which made me laugh.

"Nah. I see you," Ina said and went back to doing her assignment. Jacob kicked her foot and she winced. "Ow, asshole, it hurts!"

"It was meant to," Jake said and both of them narrowed their eyes at one and other.

"Alright, it is time. I should get going, honey," Jacob said and kissed me. I kissed him back and told him to be safe.

"What the hell?" Ina asked with her jaw dropped. "Are you- you two-," she said, her voice filled with surprise.

"Yeah," I said burying my face in Jake's chest.

"Oh, my goodness. That is lovely. My best friend and my," she looked at Jake. "Asshole," she muttered and laughed, pulling us into a hug. "I have never been happier!"

"Nessie!" Seth hugged me and Jacob together and we laughed.

"Alright, Seth, it is time. No patrolling the cottage. Leah and you stay in the borders of LaPush," Jake said, his voice taking the Alpha tone.

Ina, who joked at almost everything she saw, dared not spoke a word.

"Your word, Chief," Seth said. He kissed Ina and marched out of the house following Jacob.

"Hey, get something to eat, Jake," I said and he yelled back that he was headed to Emily's.

I smiled to myself and sighed heavily. "Can you believe it? Jacob Black is my boyfriend."

"Morning, ladies. Wake up," I heard Sue's melodious voice.

"Good morning, Sue," Ina and I said in unison and I rubbed my eyes.

She smiled at us. "Sorry, girls. Came home only now. Could you grab breakfast at Emily's?"

"Sure, Sue. Not a problem," Ina replied and smiled.

I headed to the living room and looked for Jake. "Is Leah home?" I asked Sue.

"She is sleeping," Sue whispered.

"Where is Jacob?"

"Oh, Jacob is at Billy's. Seth crashed there too."

"Thank you," I said and took Ina along with me to Billy's.

I knocked Billy's door. "Nessie!" he crooned and I laughed, as I hugged him.

"Billy, you look great. It is nice to see you."

"Come in both of you."

We went inside and I found Jake fast asleep on his bed and Seth on the floor. Ina laughed at them and went to Seth. She kissed him on his cheek and he smiled in his sleep. "Wake up, Seth. It is past 10," she whispered softly. I stood there with my mouth wide open wondering how he'd even hear her. But, to my surprise, he woke up.

"Good morning, Seth," Ina said and beamed at him.

"Morning, baby. Hey, Ness, morning." He kissed Ina's forehead and stood up.

"Morning, Seth," I said and smiled at him.

"I'll see you later," he said and they went outside. "We are off to Emily's, by the way."

"Jake? Jake?" I called out to him.

"Hmm?"

"Wake up, Jacob!"

"Please, Nessie. Five more minutes," he moaned and I laughed. I sat beside him and kissed his forehead. He smiled in his sleep.

"Wake up!"

He groaned and pulled me into the bed and held me tighter. "Morning, honey," he whispered and smiled.

"Don't do that. You are making my heart flip," I complained and he laughed. "Good morning."

"Couldn't wait an extra five minutes, could you?"
"I waited a whole night and that is long enough," I teased him and he laughed.

"You smell so good," he said and I blushed. "I make you blush, don't I?" I blushed again and he laughed. "You are so like Bella. She blushed every time she saw Edward. Back then I thought she was crazy and now I know why."

"Do you say we are like Mom and Dad?" I asked him.

"Jesus, no! The way they look at each other makes me want to throw up," he laughed and I joined him. It was true. It has been eight years since they got married and still they couldn't get their eyes and hands off each other. "I don't want to get out of bed," he said. "I wish we could stay like this for the whole day."

"Me too. But," I stood up and pulled him up. "You have to get your ass off the bed."

He laughed and we headed to Emily's.

"Hey, Nessie," everyone said in unison and I waved at them.

"Claire, sweetie, am I invisible?" Jake asked her and everyone laughed.

Claire did not get it and answered. "Yes, Jacob. Of course you are."

"Thank God," Jake said and joined his brothers for breakfast.

"We get to meet your stupid face all the time," Embry said and winked at me and we laughed.

Claire and Zoe were talking to Kim's baby. "Hi, baby. This is Aunt Zoe," she spoke and tapped Kim's stomach.

"Oh, God. Oh, God. He kicked. The baby kicked," Kim squealed in surprise and Jared rushed to her placing his hands on her tummy.

They looked so happy and I stood there admiring them.

"What's up, Nessie?" Embry asked me.

"She has got some news in store for you guys," Ina said her mouth full with food.

"Oh, god! Who put you on Earth? You make me doubt if I am a wolf," Paul made a face and Ina stuck her tongue out at him.

"So, what is it?" Quil asked us.

"Holy shit!" Embry cursed. "You are pregnant."

"You are pregnant?" Quil and Paul asked in unison and I shook my head in utter disgust.

"Get your minds out of the gutter," Jacob said and I laughed.

Zoe smacked Embry on his ribs.

"We are kinda together, guys," I said and smiled at them.

"What?" everyone said in unison, their voices filled with surprise and happiness.

Third comes a baby in a golden carriage," Embry sang and we burst out laughing. "Hey, are you sure you are not pregnant? 'Coz that would have been more interesting."

"No, freak. I am not!" I said and he mouthed Just kidding.

"You could do better, though," Leah said to me and teased Jacob and he laughed.

"Don't put shit inside my girlfriend's head, LeeBee," Jacob teased her back. He had actually started calling her LeLe to annoy her, but it kinda stuck with him and he constantly finds himself calling her that when he wanted to tease.

I pressed my palm to his cheek.
