As the dragon burned away the infected people, the two of them just looked at one another nither certain of what to say.

"Took you long enough" Raven said to Batman, her lips forming a small smile.

"How di you?" Batman began to ask but Raven just lifted her hand stopping him from finishing his question.

"At first I tried escaping into the shadows, but someone took the infection there, I don't know how it spread but it did. The infection is being pushed out but it's going to be a while before its completely gone, as to how I avoided being infected, I got lucky" Raven answered Batman.

Batman watched as the woman's expression became a sad one as if she was remembering something painful.

"Listen I can get you and all of the survivors to the island but you'll" Batman began to explain

"I'll do it, whatever it is I'll do it and I'm sure the people here will do it too" Raven answered Batman.

"...You don't get it, you will immediately be told to pair up with a man and expected to have children as soon as you can" Batman tried to warn her.

"I said I'll do it"

"You don't get it, they swarm... your lucky if you can get any sleep, you can't eat because they kill each other to infect everything around them and ..." Raven said to Batman Batman watched her becoming smaller as she tried to explain some of what she had experienced.

"There was a time I entered a nursery and I heard infants crying...they were all infected and lured people, they weren't children anymore" Raven told Batman some of what she had seen before.

"...Can you teleport these people to the other bat signals?" Batman asked Raven.

Raven immediately began to chant and a red crystal formed around the gathered people, another crystal surrounded both Batman and Raven, then all of a sudden Batman noticed that he was suddenly standing in front of one of the bat signals he had visited earlier.

They repeated the proses and piked up everyone who had gathered around one of the bat signals until they returned to the building he left the goddess behind earlier.

The people looked at those ho ha arrived with suspicion but when the people saw him they welcomed the people into the building.

"Don't" Aphrodite said to Batman, and Batman just looked at the goddess.

"It's time for you to lead, send those that are either to far gone or are on the burg of breaking to that island" the goddess added

Batman was about to say something when the sound of an explosion made him run out of the building, the walls power had kept whatever attacked outside of the city, but the moment he saw what, no who it was Batman had to admit he felt worried.

Wonderwoman stood on the barrier that separated her from Gotham, she looked at him with eyes that seemed like if they never stooped bleeding.

Raven slowly walked out of the building, behind her were the Parademons who floated just above the ground, Batman noticed that the creatures did not attempt to attack Wonder Woman.

It was almost as if they knew the danger and were actively trying to avoid it, this was odd because until now, Parademons would throw themselves into danger without any care if they lived or died.

"I've been looking at your barrier she won't be able to break threw it any time soon" Aphrodite said to Batman, before pausing and looking at Raven.

"I've also taken her Olympian abilities, what you see now is just a woman gifted with the powers of the Amazons"

Batman wanted to say something but in all honesty, he couldn't think about anything, so he just turned around and went back inside the building.

He had a lot to think about and if he had learned anything these months was that there was no room for heroes in this world, he needed to get these people in order first, before he could help anyone else.

What good would it be if he left and the people he left behind ended up either killing each other or attacked the infected because they couldn't stop arguing with one another?

"Raven here's the rules, we used these o the island, they worked there, they might work here" Batman said as he handed Raven the list of rules the people of the island live by and the Raven took the sheet of paper and began to read it out loud for everyone to hear.

The people listened but none of them said or acted as if they wanted to protest anything that they heard.

The moment Raven was finished reading she turned to batman "Let me show you something" Raven said before waving her hand and red crystals immediately formed around several buildings.

"Those are the buildings the infected have completely taken over, either that or they're covered in blood or whatever systems the buildings have are too dangerous to go near them," Raven explained to Batman.

Batman reached into his belt and took out a small cylinder snd said "Destroy it"

The cylinder shattered and for a brief instance, Gotham had its own sun.

Batman watched, his face despite being hidden underneath his mask showed no emotion, he had done what needed to be done, even if there were survivors near those areas, those areas were just too dangerous to exist.

From the corner of his eye Batman, and noticed Aphrodite looking at him with approval, but next to her stood Raven with a worried expression because he had just whipped out a large part of his city.

Far from Gotham Wolverine stood in front of his opponent, his rapid healing was doing little to no help and he exhaled he could feel his lungs healing until he could breathe in air again.

Finally, his opponent closed his eyes and lowered his gun and immediately moved his head to the side wordlessly telling Wolverine and Kimberly to follow him
